What “seat” are you sitting in? We all place the weight of our lives somewhere—security, control, success, or even fear and doubt. But not every seat can hold us.

This Easter message invites you to discover a better place to rest. Through powerful stories from Mark 9 and the resurrection of Jesus, we explore what it truly means to believe—not just in thought, but by trusting Jesus with the full weight of your life.

From a desperate father’s honest prayer—“I believe, help my unbelief”—to Thomas’ questions after the resurrection, we see that Jesus welcomes our fear, doubt, and exhaustion…and meets us there with hope, healing, and life.

Jesus is risen. He is trustworthy. And He is inviting you to sit in a seat that will never fail.

Jesus Is King – Next Gen Pastor Jacob Holcomb explores the authority and rightful kingship of Jesus, and what it means to truly recognize Him as Lord in our lives.

Jesus Is Humble – Kids Pastor Kristen O'Block highlights the unexpected humility of Jesus, entering not with force, but with gentleness and peace.

Jesus Saves – Community Pastor Tatum Miller unpacks the deeper meaning behind the crowd’s cries of “Hosanna,” pointing us to the salvation only Jesus can bring.

As we close out the year, we often find ourselves reviewing the “receipts” of our lives—what we spent time on, what shaped us, and what truly mattered. In this message, we look to the beginning of Jesus’ ministry in Matthew 3 and discover how obedience, identity, and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit shaped His path forward. As Jesus is baptized, He begins not with platform or power, but with surrender—grounded in obedience, affirmed in His identity as God’s beloved Son, and sent with strength by the Spirit. As we step toward a new year, this sermon invites us to ask honest questions about who we are, where we’re headed, and what we want our future receipts to say.

Accountability isn’t easy—but it’s essential. In Matthew 23, Jesus boldly confronts the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, calling out their empty religion while inviting them back to the heart of God through repentance and reconciliation. Accountability, at its core, is about honesty, responsibility, and restoration—whether in our friendships or in our relationship with God. In this message, we explore what healthy accountability looks like: confession, correction, ownership, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Far from being about shame or control, true accountability is a gift—it frees us, grows us, and draws us closer to Christ and one another.

This week, we reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and the light that shines in the darkness. As the world gets caught up in the busyness of the season, we often forget the deeper purpose behind it all.

The sermon challenges us to slow down in the midst of our hectic lives, to make space in our hearts and minds, and to remember that God has come near to us. Jesus, the Word made flesh, brings light into our darkest moments, offering hope, peace, and great joy for all people. This week we explore the parable of the Good Samaritan from Luke 10:25-37, diving deep into what it truly means to be generous. As we continue our series on generosity, we're challenged to not only love God with all our hearts but to extend that love to our neighbors—especially when it's risky, inconvenient, and requires our time and attention.

Through the story of the Good Samaritan, we learn that generosity is not just about money; it’s about intervening in the lives of those in need. It's about taking risks, giving our time, and stepping out of our comfort zones to care for others, no matter their background or circumstances.

In this sermon, we explore the profound generosity of God, a generosity that shapes creation, provides for our needs, and offers redemption through Jesus Christ. Amid the election season, many of us are feeling all kinds of emotions, but this message reminds us that God’s generosity is a transcending truth and a living reality.

From the beauty of creation to God's constant care, provision, and ultimate sacrifice on the cross, we discover how God’s love never stops giving. In response, we’re invited to reflect God’s generosity in our own lives—through gratitude, care for others, and generous living. God is always with us, always giving, and always good.

God is peace, bringing comfort and confidence in the midst of confusion and chaos.

Where do we find peace? Often we believe that peace is only attainable in the absence of chaos or conflict, but biblical peace, God's peace, is the act of bringing conflict to a resolution. God sends some someones.

In Moses' story, he asks God to send someone to help him in his weakness. Someone to speak wisdom and blessing, someone to share the load, someone that is with, someone that strengthens faith, and someone to speak truth. From Moses' story, we see God's desire to send someone to help us in our loneliness, weakness, and for all of life. May we become people who see who God has placed in our lives, and faithfully lean on the gift of community.

"Remember, or you might forget."

Today we read Psalm 40 and discussed the power of remembering. David models for us a prayer of remembering: where we've been, what God has done, God's faithfulness, God's power, God's desire for us to listen, to worship and share God's goodness, to continue to ask God for help.
