This week, we're talking about this Hazy IPA that incorporates Phantasm (an extraction made from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grapes), which our Thiolized yeast processes to create super fruity notes and strong tropical fruit aromas. Our brewers then dosed Chalant with a Mosaic + Hallertau Blanc dry-hop for a vinous, slightly sweet hop-and-malt character with minimal hop bitterness.

This week brewer Alex turns Adam, Dan and Mark onto a soon to be released taproom exclusive Northern German Pils. The Pilsner may have received its name from the Czech city of Pilsen but Northern Germany's adaptation of the style in the 1870's turned out considerably different beer due to a higher mineral content water and domestic German hops. Lighter in body and color than Czech pilsners, and much drier and crisper, the lingering bitterness keeps the crushability high as we keep going back for another sip.

This week Adam, Walt, Dan and Mark give in to the crush-ability and tropical pull of "Gravitational Energy". Columbus, Idaho 7, and Mosaic hops pair perfectly with tart passionfruit and guava to make an incredibly refreshing fruit forward IPA.
This week bring a BIG 2 beer episode with Mark, Walt and Dan! First, Candy Beans Hazy IPA with Vanilla, a super juicy IPA brings more flavor than a whole bowl of candy beans. Then, if that's not enough, bring on the desert with Star Baker, inspired by the classic coconut and pecan topped confection, German chocolate cake, brewed with generous additions of cacao nibs, toasted coconut, pecan, and vanilla. This classic Belgian Dubbel gets a double blast of dark fruit with the addition of pomegranate. Collaborations are always a treat, especially amongst good friends. This week Dan, Walt, Mark and Sean White of Little Fish Brewing get a chance to share our collaborative effort, Field to Fjord Nordic Pilsner. This crisp, refreshing pilsner is brewed collaboratively with Ohio grain, Ohio blue corn, Michigan Crystal Hops, and Oslo Kveik Yeast. The resulting beer is a crackery pilsner with floral and slightly spicy hop notes.

Justin, Walt and Mark discuss our annual Space-Grant series Black IPA, featuring Chinook, Simcoe, Azacca hops. Brewed with bold Crimson Cup Kossa Kebena and Antiqua Finca el Cadejo Coffee it is a deep-space black IPA that blasts off seeking new Tropical horizons. 2021 marks both 60 years of manned space flight, and the 40th anniversary of NASA's first space shuttle launch which took flight on April 12th, 1981. The groundbreaking shuttle program ran for 50 years until 2011, and ten years later we are poised to continue that legacy of discovery. This year, NASA continues our drive for exploration and with the planned launch of Artemis 1. The launch, scheduled for this November, will be the first step in our planned return to the moon in 2024.
