Although I have a master's in social psychology, I have decided to write creative fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry full time. I write about nearly everything imaginable, so whether you're looking for stories/poems of horror, romance, or even disability politics, you will find them here (eventually) with a little humor thrown in. Occasionally, episodes will feature discussions of literature and the writing process. Because I am very philosophical by nature, you will see a lot of my work blended with such ideas. Listeners may agree or disagree. This podcast was created to entertain others and to get people thinking about topics in different ways, but my intention is not necessarily to change everyone's mind about various issues. I hope some viewers are willing to offer constructive feedback that will help me grow as a writer. The podcast's name is inspired by a pet-peeve of mine, which is some variant of "if I were you, I'd write it this way, instead."

Inspired by a dream of mine. What happens Ms. Silk, the creative writing instructor, teaches math? "Everybody in class whispered about how strange it was to see a woman teaching on the second floor. I guess no one thought it was out of the ordinary that she had a superpower, only that she was a woman in power."

This episode features three short pieces written and read by me, Joshua S. However, there is a special guest feature for this one, A.W. (my sister). There is no overarching theme here to this episode.
The first very short story titled: "Disabled at the gallery" illustrates stereotypes and perceptions of people with disabilities during an everyday life situation.
The poem, "Ink Skin," is up next, which It tells of a man shunned by fellow writers.
The final piece, titled: "At this Particular Writerâs Table", which I also wrote several is ago, is one about romantic attraction.
