I just had to talk about this! The last few days have been difficult as far as creative projects go but I wanted to keep up my creativity and so I have turned to Animal Crossing. I love the game and there are so many aspects of it that you can be creative in. I have gotten to the point that I can landscape my island, putting in and taking out rivers, adding cliffs...and so much more. I am working right now on creating a park with a fountain. Sometimes you just need to take a break from all the crazy and just be lazy...hehe see what I did there?

Have you struggled with the question "What is my purpose in life?" I think there have been times where we all have but sometimes we don't want to admit it. In this episode I share my personal journey through this question. Although the journey hasn't stopped, each day I am learning more and more about purpose.

What is the purpose of your art or your creations? Have you thought of that? Mine, well just like this podcast has been a journey.

I know that once in awhile we all struggle with acceptance. Whether it is acceptance of the world today, something that seems unfair, ourselves...the list can go on. It is part of humanity, we go through it in different ways but it still is there somewhere in our lives.

Today in this episode we discuss acceptance! I encourage you to accept yourself, all you are! :D This goes along well with our "Don't Look, Just Create" Challenge as well. If you aren't looking at other artists and creators, you have an easier time listening to yourself and accepting the ideas you have.

You have heard of the saying that without Art the Earth is just "eh," right? That is what spurred this episode along with my passion and love for the umbrella term that is art.  In this episode, I am not just talking about the traditional forms of art such as drawing, painting...etc. There are so many more!

I know the world around us today is crazy and it doesn't feel normal BUT that doesn't make our passion any different. Humanity has always created art! And in this time we will continue to do it, regardless so that when we come out of this time, there is beautiful creations to behold. We can do this, we can get through this time.

Remember your "Don't look--Just Create" challenge I issued! Use the hashtag #whichcraftpodcast to share with me how you're doing or the things you are creating! Or you can send me a DM @which_craft_podcast on Instagram.

Have you find yourself scrolling through social media apps constantly? Did you go there to spark an idea or thought at first? And now you are mindlessly scrolling through with no intention of leaving the page?

I know we all go through those moments especially when we are lacking ideas or inspiration. Be strong and limit yourself! Listen to your own thoughts and ideas. Sometimes when there is quiet and no interference from anywhere else...magic happens. Throughout this episode we talk about social media benefits and some of the downsides.

I also have issued a challenge to you all! Join me on another creative journey to find the magic.

What I have learned lately about doing this podcast is that so many things I want to talk about tie into together. Motivation is very similar and could have a lot to do with having a creative block, but I wanted to pull them apart and talk about them separately.  I think even though things tie into each other there is still knowledge to be gained by hearing them separate.

In this episode, I talked to a few friends on Instagram and got their answers about what motivates them! I am leaving their Instagrams below so you can check out these lovely people. Thank you again for contributing to my podcast! @LiquidArtLab @chloeswellbeingjourney @creationsbycaryssa @dragonfaerose @mrs_leukocyte

You know that feeling right? The moment when you hit a brick wall, whether it is at work, home, in your creative pursuits...we have all had those moments.  Now of course, the brick wall isn't really there but in our mind it is very real.  As creative people, OR just people in general, we go through these times where we just feel stuck with no where to go.  In this episode, I recount some of my own experiences with blocks and what I did to escape from them. Also a few other tidbits and tricks for you as you fight to reclaim your creativity!

We all have ideas! They are interesting, crazy, spastic and just as individual as the people who have them. Throughout this episode, I am talking about where they come from. Do you as a creator/artist etc. wonder where they come from? Do they appear to you like dreams? Do they hit you like a bolt of lighting? How DO they come to you?

In the epsiode I do mention a book which is titled "Big Magic" it is by Elizabeth Gilbert. If you follow this link you can see more information about the book.  https://books.google.com/books/about/Big_Magic.html?id=IVMmBgAAQBAJ&source=kp_cover if you have not read it, I would definitely recommend picking it up.

Remember, we all have light bulb moments.

Content Warning In this episode, yes we do talk about "The Virus that should not be named" But instead of telling you what you need or how to prep, we are coming at it from a creative angle. During this episode, I do have a special guest with me to talk through the different ideas.  We know schools are out, jobs are being postponed, etc. So many things are happening in our world today that we wanted to remind you that you have things at home to cure you of boredom! You just have to get creative to find them.  We hope you are safe during this time.
