Dada reads a picture book with Aria, where Aria’s vocabulary is on full display. Then she’s sad when the fun of reading books is over, and it sinks in that her day is over, and all the fun with it. I don’t think she is upset that it’s time for bed, but sad that all the fun of the day has fully passed by. While she doesn’t have the perspective yet to think for the future, or relish the past, she is beautifully able to capture her present emotion and isn’t afraid of feelings of sadness. She’s a good human, one I want to emulate in knowing when and how to safely express my emotions so freely.
Aria loves to laugh, and found herself in a laughing fit at the end of lunch. Luca squeals in the background to share his sentiment of approval. Then one more time, before going to bed, Aria started laughing at the outrageous turn of events where she was able to put her feet on mama’s head. Imagine that?!
Aria in concerned (“uh oh mama, uh oh dada”), is naming things things around her, like her milk, and mostly stalling until we’re all done with dinner and ready to transition her to bath time.
Aria and dada sit down to name all the colors of the fish puzzle they have. Aria is very good at her colors! 🎨
Aria practices her verbal expression of concern. That or she is just pointing things out.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Literally and figuratively! The worlds best leads win the day by winning the morning, and it’s really more simple than we think. It’s about developing routines we follow everyday to set us up for success. Like eating breakfast. And Aria is off to a great start with some well-established morning routines created for her by Mama.
