In 2005 Brad Cooney published his first book, "Let's Talk Boxing" followed by a shorter sequel titled "Let's Talk More Boxing." He Co-founded the world renowned boxing/mixed martial arts website 8countnews.com. A graduate of Mahopac H.S. in New York, he later served in the U.S. Navy. Brad Cooney's Podcast is one the most active "interview" shows on ITunes. Brad continues his love of talking to game changers, life changers, and world changers, and features guests from Sports, Music, Entertainment, Politics and other cool and unusual people from around the globe! In 2016 Brad started his journey into the world of Paranormal Investigating. His work in the field (particularly a 4 year investigation in one location) has thrust him into one of the most successful paranormal film documentaries of 2020 (The House In Between). The film was directed by Steve Gonsalves (TAPS, Ghost Nation) and Kendall Whelpton (Ghost Hunters).
He blew away all 4 judges with his blind audition, getting a 4 chair turn, and now he's earned himself a spot on the LIVE shows. A win in his battle round, followed by another win in his knockout round, Ralph Edwards heads towards the LIVE shows.

Ryan Mitchell's blind audition with "The Voice" was a really good one. In my 20 seasons podcasting "The Voice" singers, I was never as stumped when no judges turned for him. Michael Buble' admitted that for some reason he, "chickened out" and more than likely the other judges already had full teams and were looking for a specific kind of singer.
All of that turned around when Carson Daly used the show's new "Carson Call Back" option. The rule is that he can only do this ONE TIME, so the fact that he chose Ryan so early in the round is telling. Carson knew, and many of the viewers knew that Ryan deserved chair turns.
Ryan made the most of the second chance when he stepped up to the plate for the second time. Country icon Reba McEntire turned her chair, and the rest is history.
Ryan would move on to the Battle Rounds, where he would found more success and now moves on to the Knockout rounds. Tune in and listen to the details and MORE.

She's been compared to Carrie Underwood by Niall Horan and Reba McEntire both. Kayleigh Clark, from Sumrall, Mississippi wow'd all 4 judges with her amazing blind audition on NBC's "The Voice". She picked legend Niall Horan to be her coach and mentor.
Clark then advanced to the Battle Rounds and defeated a very good singer in Camille Tredoux. Tune in as we go in depth on her journey on the show thus far.

Sadie Dahl quickly got the judges attention within seconds. She sang the song "Colors" a song that she selected because of her diverse musical background which includes the Violin, and a love for Jazz music.
The judges knew very quickly that they better turn their chairs in order to get their shot at working with her. Niall Horan made his move first and blocked Michael Buble' because he knew he'd rather avoid going up against him during the pitching process.
All 4 judges turned and the battle of the judges was afoot. Reba, the queen of country music legend pulled no punches and told Sadie, "You can definitely win this thing". Buble' was blocked so Niall pitched and Snoop did his pitch as well.
When it was all said and done, Sadie picked SNOOP to be her coach and mentor.

Aiden Ross sent a message to the rest of the field on Monday night, he will be a force in this season of "The Voice" season 28. He sang Adele's "Love in the Dark" and had all 4 of the judges spinning their chairs in record time.
Aiden had all of the judges standing and the pitching began. After some bigtime pitches from all of the judges, Aiden selected Niall Horan to be his coach and mentor.
In this Podcast, Aiden talks about the journey from his youth, to high school, to current day. Music has been his life. Now he gets this amazing opportunity to show the world what he can do.

Ralph Edwards tried to make the show 11 times and didn't make it. The 12th time would be the charm. Edwards walked out onto the stage and delivered a masterpiece performance.
He sang Journey's "Lights" which is no small task for anyone. Within seconds all 4 judges immediately hit their buttons and the chairs started spinning. Edwards didn't miss a step. He completed the song and stuck the landing like a Gold Medalist would in the Olympics.
All of the judges pitched hard proven by this statement by the iconic Michael Buble', "Whoever picks you will win the voice," a statement that according to Edwards was surreal to hear.
Music icon SNOOP DOG pitched even harder. He brought out several members of his musical team, including some former "The Voice" contestants, as well as some writers and producers that work for him. He showed Edwards what it would be like working with him on the show, meaning that win, lose, or draw, there's a future with SNOOP.

The former Vixen bassist and harmony vocalist, Share Ross stopped by and talked about her legendary rock career. We went back in time and talked about her early days, and how, and when her journey in music all began.
Share also talked about how she ended up in the very successful all female rock band, Vixen. She talks about the triumphs and the challenges! Additionally, she shared her thoughts about the recent passing of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne. Vixen went on a world tour with Ozzy and Share talked about the memories knowing Ozzy personally.
Lastly, we discussed America under the Trump administration. Share talks about things that can be done for those who disagree with Trump's policies. It's a great discussion.

The kid who used to freestyle on the bus going to elementary school is 30 now. APtheG doesn’t freestyle anymore. He writes and produces his songs, and with more than 30 songs out, now he’s taking his shot at the music place.
He’s coming out with “762,” a hard-charging hip-hop ode to a gun, his history and his ambition. Like most of his music, the song is a story with bits and pieces of his life in it.
“It was a lot of people talking about different guns. Other people were talking about the switches for the Glocks, and I was like, ‘I can’t get my hands on those because it’s illegal.’”
The switches allow a handgun to become fully automatic. But APtheG had a Draco, a semi-auto that fires the AK 47’s 7.62x39 mm cartridge. Hence, the name of the song, “762.”

“It’s basically about a female, like I liked the way a female dresses, or like the way she carries herself, the way she puts her clothes on, wearing heels, or switching up out of the heels — steppin’ like that.”
The beat in “Steppin” is slow and dreamy, the melody soft, the vibe like a ballad, even where the lyrics get explicit.

Guitarist Al Anderson has recorded and toured with Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and also performed with Bunny Wailer.
“That’s what makes us different from the tribute bands and imitators,” said Al.
Al and band performed an eight-song, Unplugged Concert for the Sugarshack Music Channel on YouTube - the improvisational acoustic version of the songs from legendary catalog, including newly recorded material from The Original Wailers feat. Al Anderson.
The band’s rendition of Bob Marley and The Wailers “Redemption Song,” is the first video to be released from the concert on the Sugarshack Music Channel.
“There is something special about “Redemption Song,’” Al said.
The version performed by The Original Wailers is more than seven minutes, beginning with almost a minute of solo guitar intro played by Al.

They say that if you get knocked down in life, get up, brush yourself off, and try again. This is exactly what Iris Herrera did. Last season on "The Voice" she didn't get the result that she was hoping for when no chairs turned for her for her blind audition. She didn't let that deter her, so she went back home and she worked really hard, using the advice and tips that the judges gave to her.
Here comes season 27, and Iris is back. This time she came prepared, and like a well oiled machine she hit the ground running and stuck the landing. Iris sang "You Are My Sunshine" a classic song, but she slowed down the tempo and using the advice of the coached from last season, she made the song her own, which turned out to be a powerful and extremely impressive performance.

South Florida-based singer-songwriter Leah Dibut begins 2025 with a powerful new chapter in her career, releasing her latest single, “Thank You.” Blending her signature mix of pop and R&B with raw emotion and storytelling, Dibut’s new track delivers an empowering message of resilience and self-love.
“‘Thank You’ came from a very personal place,” Leah shared. “I went through a moment in my life where I felt impacted by someone in a way that shook me, and I knew I needed to write this song for myself. That purpose really comes through in the lyrics.”

“I Know U Know” is a wonderful listening experience simply for the rich, beautiful, agile voice of ECHASL, a young woman from China, and the music.
The track is at once a debut for her, a tease for the album, Little Black Sheep, and an intro to her wonderfully exotic mix of musical cultures and instruments.
“I Know U Know” is also a protest song.
“It’s against all types of discrimination, like sexism and racism. It’s based on a real historical story,” she said. The story is about the first Chinese woman recorded as having landed in the United states.
“But she was tricked, and she was sold to a circus in the United States, and, just like all the other animals, she was a show there. People would pay 10 cents for a ticket to see this yellow-skinned girl. This is the story that inspired me to write this song.”

The Reckless is excited to share their newest EP, Who Are You, after a string of singles over the past few years. The titular track “Who Are You” is a powerhouse debut of their evolved sound and welcomes listeners to a new era of The Reckless.
Since its debut, the band has undergone a complete sound evolution. The Reckless began during the pandemic as a one-man show by frontman Fritz Fayman. Joined by talented musicians who shared his vision, Fayman soon welcomed bassist Michael Kennedy, who would become a mainstay member. During this period, the band released one EP, The Get in a Fight EP, while trying to strike harmony with fleeting band members. Soon after, they encountered Riku Myllykoski, who joined the group on drums. Within months, John Kelly joined on guitar to complete the group.
“Our sound has become more advanced with our current crew,” shares Fritz Fayman. “Everyone is doing more to the song—it’s not just me writing everything. Everyone is doing their parts, which allows for a blending of our styles. There is a level of humility amongst all our band members. We’re each figuring out what we’re good at and combining influences and sounds to reach our potential and continued potential.”

“We Were Golden,” written and recorded this year, is classic, as-good-as-it-gets 1960s California beach rock. It is many other things, also, including a yet-to-be golden oldie.
It is oldie gold alright, but melted down, re-refined and crafted into something brand new. Mike Mahoney, a California native, lived that time and, with his co-writer and producer David Blackburn, wrote it into the song.
The track was released under Mike’s band name, Mikey’s In The Mustang.
“I wanted to write a tribute song to Brian Wilson for all the inspiration gave us,” he said. “Not so much the cars and the surf songs but for the romanticism of being young – the true ‘California Sound.’”

No More Lonely Christmas, the new album from ALYA, which was just dropped, is a fulfilment of the artist’s Christmas wish, embodied in the track that provides the name for the album.
The eight tracks feature ALYA’s versions of three classics, including a collaboration with Eric Clapton on “Silent Night,” and five original songs, including the title track, a fast, fun, hand-clapping, jazzy, pop love song.
“We wanted to create something that would be an updated version of Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You,’ which is a song I really love, a Christmas classic, but we felt like it’s time for something new, fresh, cool, and ‘No More Lonely Christmas’ is the song that came out of the thought.”
Where Mariah’s song is a wish for a certain someone, ALYA’s song is the wish come true:

“It was very fun to record,” she said. “There is a lot going on in the track.”
Piano, horns, clapping, drums all combine in a happy, joyful celebration of love and the season.
“It’s just a very, very good feeling song. I had so much fun recording it, and I really hope that everybody else will feel the joy, feel the love that I put in the song. I really believe that it has all the chances of becoming a new Christmas classic.”
The song is a perfect namesake for an album that carries the artist’s Christmas hopes.
“I wanted to put over so much love, so much good emotion, so much good energy that when you listen to the record you will feel like, no matter where you are, you are surrounded by your loved ones.”
“Little Drummer Boy” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” along with “Silent Night,” are the album’s three classics. Together, they constituted the EP she put out last year, Home for Christmas.

Electro, like a lot of music, can make you want to sing along, or play the steering-wheel drum, or get a body part moving, but it generally works by first taking over your head and holding it still for the coming bombardment of sound.
So it is with “Culmination,” the sixth track this year, releasing on November 24, from Mundane Miracle.
“Listening to electronic music is like an explosion in your brain, with all these crazy things going on,” he said. “It just really sets your brain off.”
“I think, with all my songs, it’s kind of like a flow of consciousness,” he said. “It is trying to put out different sounds, and once I have a little base, then I try out different elements, listening repetitively to the song trying different elements.”
Mundane Miracle, is starting to put out the music that he has wanted to make since 2010, when he first heard Matthew Dear’s “I Can’t Feel.”
“Culmination” is somewhat different from the five other songs he has put out so far.

Kelsey Dodd, at just 17, is no newcomer to music. Since age five, Kelsey has been on a steady journey fueled by her passion for singing and the performing arts. When Bay Area electronic outfit Blast Havers sits down to make new music, they do so with the dance floor and the people on it in mind.
But that’s not all––after all, the group is isolated and often seated at a desk when a new tune comes to life. And so Blast Havers aims to make music with more than just danceable beats in mind, and the group’s quirky sound design and witty lyricism are meant for a wider audience.
“The audience has to be expanded to people who want to be on the dance floor at the moment but aren’t,” the group says. “We’re listening to it in the car, at a desk, and we’re imagining where we want to be at that moment, having fun. Rose Prince is an artist who thrives on the emotional authenticity of his music. And, through his own emotional authenticity, he hopes to find relatability with his listeners. On the surface, “Dreams,” the latest single by Burt Bankkz, is a righteous hip-hop ballad about going after dreams, in his case, music as a way out of the hardship of growing up on the streets of a hard section of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
“I made the song based on the past struggles that I’ve been going through with life, growing up as a kid in a poor community and stuff.”
The guitar and the beat gently rock through his story of escape. Burt delivers the lyrics at speed but in waves set to the slower pace of the melody, telling a story of dreams, not just in life and livelihood, but also in music.

“We just tried to write a good, old fashioned rock and roll song,” said Jimmy, “where the listeners would wonder what happened to their socks: well, they got rocked off by The Jimmy Dixon Group! So, we wrote a little rock and roll tune for our vintage electric guitars and plugged ’em into an amp.”

With a ditty-bopping, hand-clapping dance beat and playful lyrics, Australian artist James Atlas makes fun of and celebrates a kind of mall and shopping culture in his latest synth-pop release “Retail Therapy.”
“It’s about my own shopping addiction, and it’s about me kind of laughing at that while also reveling in it,” he said.
In fact, the inspiration came from one of the world’s most famous malls.
“When I listened to the arrangement for that one, I was walking around Dubai. I’d just been to the Dubai Mall, and the track took my mind straight to what I had just been doing at the mall. They were so closely related in style that I thought it would be funny to do a song about shopping addiction.”

“At the end of the day,” he said, “my songs elicit feelings. ‘MOVE WITH ME’ is meant to be a wedding playlist, dance floor song.”
The song starts off fast and kicks into high gear after the intro, which is intended to get people excited and in position to dance “at a wedding or a party or any sort of social gathering.”

Season 26 of NBC's "The Voice" has delivered some of the best singers in the country, and one of them is a young lady named Shye! She wow'd the judges with her rendition of "Superman" which netted her a 4 chair turn!
Shye had all of the judges making STRONG pitches trying to get her to select them to be her coach. Gwen Stefani seemed visibly touched by Shye's performance and pitched very hard to get her. Shye went with singing legend Michael Buble'

For listeners who have not yet been introduced to the pulse-inspiring vibe in the Afrobeat fusion of Nigerian American artist E’MAJOR, his new release “Bolo” will dance his music into their consciousness.
“Bolo,” dropping September 20, is an upbeat track with a low-key, repetitive keyboard melody behind forceful, changeable beats carried by a variety of instruments. It can make you dance in your chair.

That is exactly what it’s intended to do, what it does, which is get into your head. The title, “Bolo,” is Nigerian slang for the brain.
“In this case, it’s talking about a girl who pleases you, makes you feel good. It’s really sweet words, telling someone that you love — your wife, your girl — that whatever she’s doing, how she’s looking or how sexy, she’s making your head go crazy.”

Lemoyne Alexander is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a love for all things music. With experience in the rap, R&B and rock world, music has always been a part of his life but now he’s making what he wants how he wants. Playing and creating it brings him joy and the only thing that brings him more joy is sharing the music with others. On his new single “Insecurity” he talks about some personal things he dealt with and hopes it inspires others to deal with their own situations too. He plays every instrument on this track, making it truly his vision both sonically and conceptually.
The song “Insecurity” is an alternative rock pop song or as Lemoyne calls it and his other solo music “Alternative comprehensive rock.” Originally, he had no intentions to flesh it out to a full song but as time went on it all just came together cohesively. Self doubt is the throughline of the song and he hopes by expressing his own, others will be able to get through theirs.

Emerging Christian rap artist Eden Hill intentionally chose Friday, the 13th to debut his new single “Afraid,” a powerful track featuring orchestral elements, gritty trap beats, and a deep spiritual message. “It felt right to drop a song about letting go of fear and overcoming darkness in this season,” he shares on the decision on the release date. “I’m a big fan of irony. I thought it would be really ironic to drop a Christian rap song that’s about letting go of fear on a day that represents evil. I thought it would contrast what that day represents—and, therefore, bring light into a dark space.”
“Afraid” came together quickly—with Eden Hill finishing the beat a few days before recording the lyrics and completing the whole track within days. Lyrically, “Afraid” follows a journey from fear to faith with Eden Hill, whose name offers a reminder that “Paradise is on the horizon,” touching on personal struggles and transformation. “It’s about where I was before God met me and pulled me out of the darkness,” he explains.

Anabel Itoha, originally from Barcelona, takes a courageous leap to relocate from Spain to NYC to pursue her music career. She mentions, “everybody kept telling me I was crazy, but when people tell you that, it’s probably because you’re really up to something.” She describes the depth of sacrifice you have to make to pursue your passion, but “if you really want something, you should just go for it.”
At an early age, Anabel’s primary school teacher noticed her powerful singing voice and pointed it out to her mother. Anabel shares that her family helped cultivate a path for her to explore her musical talents through concerts and performances throughout childhood. It wasn't until later when Anabel was fully invested in her dream, and the weight and reality of telling her mother, "No, Mom, I'm not gonna be a doctor; I'm gonna be a singer," truly sank in.

In the first song of his new album, Highly Sensitive Person, Lamar Woods introduces the theme in the first line of his rap: “I had my first panic attack at 35. I thought I was gonna die.”
Looks dire, right? But listen to the intro about holding the world together with love, followed by a chiming, R&Bish, slightly funky build up, then get the finish to the line about dying, which is, “like Ryan at the end of Drive,” and you don’t know what’s coming next but you know it ain’t gonna be dire.
Lamar, who has had a successful career in television and movies, has continued his return to music with this fun, funny, hugely diverse, 19-track hip-hop exploration of panic and anxiety.
His album is all about mental health, but he does it in style, and many musical styles, and with humor, including three hilarious skits.
The single released to tease the album, “Don’t Give Up On Me,” featured one aspect of high sensitivity: relationship avoidance.

Regal Rapstar simply had enough of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Pasadena based Latino-American rapper/producer released a song with a title that says it all: “F the Coronavirus.”
This is a hard hitting track aimed at the culprit that put the whole world on hold, with plenty of cool word play and a solid, original beat. It comes from the four track, self-titled EP that was released in March, and is intended on being a “stream vaccine” that everyone should go get a dose of.
“I want listeners to remember this song, and be like, this is a guy who covered a topic that affected us all,” Regal Rapstar said. “This isn’t just like a regular rap song. It’s like a missile. This isn’t like throwing a firecracker. It’s like a serious potion. That’s for real.”

Themes of spiritual transcendence and mental dysfunction aren’t usual subjects for popular music, unless you are Boston’s Sam Welch and you put them into the kind of techno music he is known for, or the pop of his new album, The Republic.
The combination pop/alternative pop instrumentation and playful lyrics full of quirky rhymes makes even a song with a title like “My Darling Human Condition,” or “The Tenuous Affair,” a song about the philosophy of Thomas Hobbes, not only interesting but fun.
“I had a lot of fun creating it this year,” said Sam, who since 2017 has put out an album a year, mostly in a style he calls “transcendental techno vox.”

Since he grew up on the coasts of Carolina and Georgia, Mack Holland has been involved in writing poetry, culminating with the 2017 publication of his book, Sweet Inspiration: The Mack Holland Book of Inspiration, Poetry and Song.
As the title would suggest, sometimes Holland’s poetry work takes him into the world of music, and after he was encouraged to start recording his own music a decade ago, Holland’s now making a name for himself as a recording artist. His music catalogue, which consists mostly of inspirational, holiday and love music, includes gospel recordings like “He Is” and “Lord I Thank You,” with the former garnering nearly 200,000 plays in less than two years and the latter earning nearly 150,000 plays in just eight months.

““DontCha Wanna Have Fun’ is about a guy who’s trying to get with a girl, and she’s not gonna make it easy for him,” she said.
“She wants him to understand that she’s not with the games, and that if he’s really serious then she’ll be open to the possibility of them being together. But he has to make a commitment of some sort, and then they can have some fun.”

With summer season coming on, the hip-hop/R&B duo KingJu1c3 and AcWolf have crafted a chill, laid-back hip-hop track called “What You Came For” to get people up for the season’s fun.
KingJu1c3 says the idea behind it is “like a trip to Vegas.”
AcWolf takes a more metaphysical view. The song, he says, “dives into a state of heightened self-awareness.”
So "What You Came For" is already available, released on June 13th.
“Say you go to Vegas for a weekend to have fun, or go on a bender,” said KingJu1c3, “and then you go home and what happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas. That’s what the song is about.”

Gable Burnett’s new song “Trouble” starts off with a bang and takes off from there in a flat dead rocking country run.
Her career as a recording artist, beginning with “Trouble,” should follow the same trajectory. “Should” not only because she writes some great music and “should” because she has the talent and the power voice, but “should” because she is working it.
The song, dropping May 31, is based on a family joke.
“When I was a little girl, I was very high energy and very curious. I got into all sorts of trouble. I’d take things apart and see if I could put them back together. I’d run off in public, not to be intentionally bad, but over the years it developed into this outlandish kind of reputation thing for the small town that I grew up in. ‘Oh, Gable’s trouble. She’s a little wild.’”

Mark Bram, AKA Ruby Topaz, has a myriad of musical influences that bleed into his sound, but what sets him apart as a musician is the ability to take these styles and morph them into something entirely unique.
“I think it’s the mixture of music, because it is so diverse,” Bram said. “When you take the Beatles, the Monkees, Herman’s Hermits, the Turtles, and you mix it with bands like King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, Edgar Winter. It’s just so diverse.”
Ruby Topaz has just released an album titled Mark Bram/Ruby Topaz Again, which is a 23rd anniversary remaster of a record that will blow the listeners’ hair back.
“I love recording and I feel like I am painting pictures of sound, and the equipment and the music we do, is the pallet,” he said.
He is also very fond of the improvisational instrumental Fusion/Progressive songs that they do live, noting: “These songs exist for the moment, and they’re just on fire. It’s like meditation while you’re playing, just in the zone, and I love that stuff.

To introduce his new album, Front Porch Philosopher, Norman Collins offers “I Wanna Rule Somebody,” a pure piece of hard-driving, rock guitar and messaging in which the subject is the betrayal of belief and trust.
The album and the single will be released on May 22.
Guitar and a steady, hard fast drum begin, but not just to philosophy’s beat. In this song, we get rock metaphysics. After the rest of the band crashes in, setting the rhythm and harmony of the argument, Norman introduces the subject:

The song, and the album, are full of Norman’s brand of progressive Americana. It is a fusion of a lot of different kinds of music —but mainly rock, blues, soul and country — and delivered hot and sweet.

Since his first track in 2019, Penny Taylor has released more than 50 songs, which includes two six-track EPs, a five-track EP and a 16-track album.
With “Cuff,” dropping on June 5, he believes he has found his sound.
He calls it “R&B with an edge.”
“‘Cuff’ was my first attempt at writing an R&B song from start to finish with a mainstream appeal to it. It is basically a song expressing the desire to actually be in a relationship with someone, with all the perks that come with that.”
Until “Cuff,” he also hadn’t written a song where the theme is wanting to be in a relationship — to cuff.

Pop singer Henry Frasia is set to release his latest single, “JFK,” an ode to long-distance love and one of four tracks on his upcoming EP. The up-and-coming artist is also a student at the University of Miami.
Henry began making music during the pandemic, setting up a makeshift studio. “My sister and brother started doing music and told me to try it out. I was hesitant at first but did it for fun. Then I started to really enjoy it and had a great time. I kept making music and improved a lot,” shares Henry. When he felt comfortable sharing his music with people, he did just that.

Influence has been making hip-hop for a long time, about 25 years, performing in lots of venues and competitions, but he only started pushing his music out to the public last year.
“I’m done cooking up the style,” he said. “Now it’s time to put it out.”
To kick off the promotion of Influence and the multitude of sounds that characterize his music, he chose “What You Deserve.”
“‘What You Deserve’ is basically a hip-hop, R&B kind of dance track. It definitely has an Afro-centric dancehall vibe to it.”

Ed’s career in music spans several decades and is a gifted musician, singer and songwriter. Beginning in the 1980s, Ed has recorded both as an independent artist and signed to labels. He has journeyed across the country, including a time in Nashville, and still performs to a large following in the Texas Hill Country area around San Antonio, where he currently lives.
“At this juncture in my career, I don’t have delusions of grandeur,” he said. “I really want to reach people of my age. You know, the Gen X group who experienced great music and styles of the ’60s, ’70s, and 80s. People seeking a voice, speaking their ‘language’. Someone who grew up at the same time and understands the juncture we are in our lives. Those are the ones that I’m most trying to appeal.”
But he is ready to take his music to a wider world.

Electronic punk band Go Away Robot brings listeners a captivating new single featuring their unique cross-genre sound.
The members of Go Away Robot grew up playing in their respective local punk/hardcore scenes before coming together—Jon in the North Bay, Dan in Pacifica, and Alex in Florida. Their moniker was inspired by the negative sentiment towards automated technology, from self-driving cars to AI.
“We started writing dance music mixed with emo and hardcore. Heavier music mixed with electronic music,” shares Alex. They didn’t quite fit in any one genre, so they made a sound of their own.
The single, “Strange Days,” was born in a time that was very unusual, uncomfortable, and downright perplexing at times. Alex was listening to a lot of hip-hop and his vocals were influenced by Lupe Fiasco. “Alex and Jon were in each other’s COVID bubbles and continued writing,” tells the band. “This song is basically about fighting with addiction…and inevitably trading one addiction for another, not ever really solving the problem,” says Jon.

Delaware based rapper Hammaz has been surrounded by music through friends and family his whole life, and most recently he created the album AlphaMale 4: Magnum Opus, which includes the single “Shitz” that will reel in listeners as it is catchy and pops.
“This one is more drill,” Hammaz said of “Shitz” which features MusicByDre. “There’s no playing around. I’m back and letting you know. I want all the shitz, I want all the smoke. I’m coming for it. I’m there for it.”
AlphaMale 4: Magnum Opus wasn’t just whipped together, as Hammaz took his time and selected everything for a reason. Instead of just writing freely, he wrote about specific events and people, and topics that were going on in his life.
“I was able to tap deep into a certain bag, and to be able to put it all together in one project, is like one of the greatest art forms I’ve created over the bodies of works that I did,” Hammaz explained. “I have a personal relationship with PeeWee Kirkland, so I had a couple of sit downs with him. One of the songs on there talks about him and his life.”
