Mr. Dan Wengler, 5th grade ELA teacher at Pacific Intermediate (Pacific, Missouri), reads selections from The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis. Our school, like most throughout the world, was closed in mid-March due to the Covid 19 pandemic. This is a chance for my students to continue hearing this spectacular book at home.
Kenny grieves over what happened at the church, but someone unexpected helps him feel better.
The Watsons continue on their car trip to Alabama as the kids get to see what the world is like outside of Michigan.
