Matthew 5:38-48 / Luke 6:27-36 There are just some things in the Bible that seem a little too difficult to pull off. I can love these people, but I don’t know about those people. This Sunday, we will learn how to deal with those that have wronged us and how Jesus asks us to treat those who we consider enemies.
Matthew 5:27-37 Join us this Sunday at Revive as we continue through the sermon on the mount by looking at what Jesus has to say about adultery, divorce and our word.
So many times, in life, we think we know exactly what the answer is, only to find out later that we were off… way off! For believers in the 1st century, this is what sums up their understanding of the law. Join us this Sunday as Jesus teaches on the law and gives a great example of what that looks like for his children.
Matthew 5:13-16 / Luke 14:35
Jesus shares with believers that they are to be salt and light. These are to be characters of a Christian and both are necessary in order for us to live the lives God wants us to each and every day.
Oftentimes we judge a sermon by the amount of people that come forward during the alter call. Did people respond by giving large amounts of money in the offering buckets? Maybe people were so moved they shared the message on social media. But what makes a good sermon… well… good? Maybe a good place to start is by looking at a sermon that Jesus gave on a hillside near Capernaum. In this chapter of the Life of Christ, we will take a closer look at the Sermon on the Mount and examine the message that Jesus preached to the world.
Each of us has worth, even though we may not feel like it at times. You were created to be a difference maker. George didn’t realize his worth until he sees what his town would have been like without him. We all have a purpose and it’s never too late to start living out your purpose. Why not start now!
Matthew 1:18, 21
All the Ralph wanted was an official Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle, with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time. That was his expectations for Christmas and he was going to do everything in his power to make sure his gift was under the tree. Join us for a special Christmas Eve service at Revive and discover that what God wants to give to us through Christmas, is by far the greatest gift of all!
Luke 2:10-11 Although Buddy the Elf doesn’t allow the naysayers to steal his joy when it comes to Christmas. Too often we allow the world we live in to dictate how we live our lives. There are a lot of reasons that Buddy could have been down in the dumps, but he exhibits the joy that comes through Christmas. We can have that same joy and even greater because of what Jesus brings.
Matthew 1:18-25 Ebenezer Scrooge is a classic transformation story. On Christmas Eve in 1843 in London, Scrooge goes from Bah-humbug to Merry Christmas. Both are visited in a dream and both are shown something they didn’t think before. What happened? He had a change of heart. When Joseph hears of Mary’s pregnancy, he had in his mind the best options, but after an encounter with God, he has a change of heart as well. This week, maybe we can go from Bah-humbug to Merry Christmas by experiencing Jesus.
John 12 This week we will look at a story in the Bible that teaches us two different attitudes we can have when it comes to generosity. One person will display a generous heart and the other will display a selfish heart. Which side of the coin do you land and how can we all get better when we ask the question… Am I Generous?
Luke 16 There are a lot of things we say we love in life. Obviously, we love our kids and our spouse, we love our church and our friends. But God tells us that there is one thing that we can’t love if we are going to love him… it’s mammon. What is mammon and why is it dangerous to our lives in Christ? Join us this Sunday as we answer these questions as we work towards Breaking The Spirit of Mammon.
Exodus 13 Abbot and Costello made the “Who’s on First” bit a forever classic! For five minutes they go around and around trying to figure out who’s playing baseball for St. Louis. It all starts with the question…Who’s on first? In life, we must ask ourselves a similar question - Who's first? Because who comes first greatly impacts what comes next - in our marriages, our parenting, our finances, our decisions, everything. Join us this weekend as we examine our lives and answer the question of… Who’s On First?
Malachi 3 There are a lot of tests in the world. Fitness tests, school tests, entrance tests, drug tests, placement tests and diagnostic tests are just a few that we will encounter in life. At times we will even feel like we are being tested by God. Wouldn’t it be nice, to just once, be able to give God a test? Well the Bible tells us in scripture that we can test God in one specific area. What is that one area? Join us Sunday at Revive as we learn how to put God to the test.
Deuteronomy 15 Like many things, the blessed life starts by examining the condition of your heart. This week we will have a spiritual heart exam to see how healthy it really is when we line it up with God. So whether you are spiritually healthy, a little out of shape, or flat out unhealthy, one thing is clear, we can all do a little bit better. Join us this Sunday and let’s commit to getting better… together!
Mark 2:1-12 / Matthew 9:1-8 / Luke 5:17-26 Too often when things don’t go our way, instead of pressing on, we give up. But what if another way, was actually the best way? Join us this Sunday at Revive as we conclude chapter 3 of The Life of Christ series by looking at 4 men who were so determined, they were willing to do whatever it takes to get to Jesus. And by doing so, maybe they discovered that another way, might be the better way.
Mark 1:40-45 / Luke 5:12-16 / Matthew 8:2-4 As we read through the life of Christ, over and over we discover amazing situations and scenarios where we gasp, “No way He just did that!” He would constantly do the unthinkable. But when Jesus reaches out and touches a person with leprosy, people discover a part of Jesus they had never seen before. Journey with us this week as Jesus does the unthinkable, with the untouchables.
Mark 1:21-28 / Luke 4:31-37 Halloween is just around the corner and no matter where you turn, you will see ghosts and goblins, cobwebs and tombstones and all sorts of tricks and treats. Like it or not, it’s kind of what we expect in October. But what about real evil spirits and demons? Do they exist? Join us this Sunday as we continue through the Life of Christ by looking at the first of 6 times in which Jesus would cast out the demons. It’s getting spooky at Revive!
Matthew 13:53 / Mark 6:1-6 / Luke 4:16-24 Fall is just around the corner and we all know what that means. It means cooler weather, pumpkin spiced everything, football and tailgating with good food and great friends. It also means homecoming! Your high school experience can greatly determine what kind of homecoming you will receive. So what happens when Jesus returns to His hometown? How will he be received by the people that watched Him grow up in the house of a carpenter? This week at Revive we will get the answer to the question… HOW WAS HOMECOMING?

John 4
Jesus never wastes an opportunity to meet people where they are and love them regardless of how their story is being lived out. This has never been more evident than the “not so random” encounter He has with the Samaritan woman. Join us this Sunday as Jesus breaks down the barriers that we still struggle with today.
John 3:1-21 How many feet are in a mile? How fast is the speed of sound? Who was the first man to walk on the moon? When we don’t know the answers, we usually go straight to Google. When Nicodemus has a question, he makes his way to Jesus and finds out the answer, is standing right in beside him. Join us this Sunday as we look at this amazing encounter and learn the story behind the verse.
John 2:1-12 Everybody loves a good wedding party. From the toasts, to the dances to the cutting of the cake, it is a celebration. But when Jesus attends your wedding, the party can go to another level. This week we will look at the very first miracle performed by Jesus and discover there is more to the story than just new wine. There is A NEW WINE MAKER!
Join us this week as we celebrate 3 years as a church and look back at some amazing things God has done. We will also share what God is currently doing at Revive and paint the picture of what lies ahead. This is our 2019 State of the Church Address and we can’t wait to celebrate with you and your friends.
Matthew 4:18-22 / Mark 1:16-20 / John 1:35-51 What do you get when you grab a few different people from different backgrounds and different vocations? If we asked Jesus, he might tell us it is the best group of people to train up and carry out the Father’s mission! Join us this Sunday as we discover that the church of today is not too different than the small church Jesus started with when He asked a few ordinary guys to simply “Follow him.”
Luke 4:1-13 / Matthew 4:1-11 / Mark 1:12-13 Everyone who has dated for any stretch of time can tell you it will eventually happen. It could be that you have nothing in common or there is absolutely zero chemistry. Maybe the activity or the meal was far from your liking. Most of us have experienced the date from HELL! But what if your date was literally… from Hell? Jesus knows what this experience is like as he goes toe to toe with the devil. What can we learn from this encounter? Because eventually, we all will have our moments in the ring with Satan himself.
Matthew 3:13-17 / Mark 1:9-11 / Luke 3:21-22 / John 1:29-34 Whether it is waving the white flag, throwing your hands up, or throwing in the towel, we are all aware of the gesture and the act of surrender. As Christians, God gives us another way in which we surrender. Join us this Sunday as we follow Jesus to the river and learn our first act of surrender to the Father.
