STEM Engagement at RMIT
This is the first episode of STEM Engagement at RMIT University recorded by the School of Science on Thursday the 2nd of April 2020. Here, we chat with Zach Wingrave (Computer Science alumni) and Saumaya Fernando (Current chemistry student), who have participated widely within the In2science program, hearing about their experiences, challenges and successes over their time with the program.
In2science is a collaborative program led by La Trobe University in partnership with RMIT University, Swinburne University of Technology, Monash University and the University of Melbourne.
In this podcast of STEM Engagement we move away slightly from the focus on high schools and move towards looking at what the challenges, successes and surprises are for our academics in the school of science at RMIT University. Host, Will Sullivan, chats with Dr Mariela Soto-Berelov and Prof. Oliver Jones about how they've adapted their learning and teaching practises for two very different STEM courses in our undergraduate programs at RMIT University.
In this episode of STEM Engagement we hear from current In2science mentors from RMIT University around their experiences learning from home, how they're tackling the challenges as well as their tips and tricks for others in similar situations. Although, targeted at inspiring and informing current high school students, this podcast may well indeed prove to be useful for anyone working or learning from home.
