This podcast features content for paper crafters, card makers, stampers and scrapbookers while exploring many aspects of a creative lifestyle.
In 1988, I was a 15 year old American exploring the streets of Paris with a group of students. I had my camera and the worst accent imaginable. I also had the time of my life. Watching my history books come alive in front of me in this incredibly vibrant city made my heart sing. Now, many years later, as I plan my upcoming visit in Paris, I'm taking a break from the guide books and packing to look through my Paris scrapbook and relive the joy of my first trip.
While this episode does not include the mention of any specific candidate, party, platform or ballot initiative, it is all about voting. I'm thinking of creating a tutorial dedicated to including this election in your scrapbook. Let's document the practical aspects of going to the polls as well as the values reflected in our ballot choices. The tutorial will include patriotic images and colors, but it will not be political. We'll create a two page spread and a space for hidden journaling while we capture this historic moment for generations to come. If this sounds good to you, email me at tracy@bewitchedcrafts.com

What's the last five star book you read? I eagerly anticipated the newest release from Kendra Adache and devoured my copy of The Plan. If you're familiar with Kendra's big sister style from her Lazy Genius book and podcast, you will love how well she builds on her 13 principles to change how we think about the seasons of our lives and how we manage our time.

Don't forget to add your unique celebrations! I'm celebrating 904 day and looking forward to creating a scrapbook layout all about my home town. Let's make pages about the places where we live and what makes those places special.
I've been thinking a lot about celebrating unique special occasions like Pi Day and 626 Day. This new tradition has brought me so much joy that each month I now make an effort to get at least one on my calendar. Today's special day was an unexpected day off from work that led me to think about childhood pleasures including hurricane days (snow days for most of you) and how I want to scrapbook them.
I've been inspired by Life In Five Senses! I'm determined to savor these last few weeks of summer and to capture them in new and unique ways. I know scent memories can take me right back to certain points in my childhood. I wonder if exploring my other senses will lead me to new discoveries as I celebrate the season.

We've made it through the first six months of the year. Let's create a scrapbook layout celebrating your achievements and adventures!
In honor of my bestie's upcoming birthday, I've decided it's time to scrapbook the most important relationship in my life at a whole new level. While I have filled books with the stories of our adventures, I'm now ready to focus on the bond between us and the qualities that made her extraordinary.
I've got lots to tell you as we wrap up June with Stitch Day, plans at the pool, and more. We'll talk about planning, celebrations, remembering what feels like Summer, and creative energy plus we'll touch on getting the things and activities we love into our scrapbooks.
It's time for bookish enthusiasm! Let's talk books and the reading life. I'm answering the prompts to the Mid Year Book Freak Out tag, making recommendations, and spilling the tea on the 35 books I've read so far.
My efforts are starting to pay off! I've got my first tomato harvest. I've reconnected with a friend. I've survived 300 pages of War and Peace. I'm trying a few things differently and I'm surprised by my progress. For example, the last two weeks my newsletter card projects have used products and techniques I rarely use and I couldn't be happier with the results.
I've got a challenge for you! In the interest of authenticity, create a scrapbook layout with photos of the finished product of something you've accomplished such as creating a garden (maybe even a tomato patch) and then use your journaling to tell the behind the scenes story of the blood, sweat, and tears that went into the making of those photos (maybe even the mosquito bites, the heat, and the humidity). This episode shares more about the challenge, June's Big Three, and ideas for small, unique celebrations.
Inspiration can come from all sorts of places! This week, I'm inspired to create a whole bunch of layouts for my Book of Me by the numbers...50 photos from my 50th birthday, 100 things I like about me, 23 photos of 2023, and more. Plus, I need a theme for summer and an idea for a 100 Days Project.

I just finished making a card for my goddaughter's bridal shower and it got me thinking about using handmade cards to connect. While I have high hopes that she holds on to the card as a keepsake, I also value being able to text a photo of the card to her mother and connecting over our love of paper crafting! I've got an opportunity for us to connect too. Listen in for information on Friday Night Fun coming to Facebook Live on February 3rd at 8pm (EST).

Today we are witnesses to history as momentous as the funeral of the Queen of England and as profound as the invention of the cell phone. We advance beyond so many things from phone booths to wash tubs, but how we lived is fascinating.
I admit I am a creature of habit and I love routines. I really enjoy setting up my schedules in my digital planner. I track habits and progress on my goals, create a monthly vision board, and more. I love a plan! But this weekend, I got an invitation that had me throwing my carefully prepared to do list right out the window. Let's talk about change, resistance, and making memories.
I'm feeling out of balance and it's a sure indicator I've been ignoring my planner. It's time to dive into September and get consistent. Staying on track is like keeping a promise to myself. I'm looking at deliberate design and the things I accumulate. What was the experience I was craving when I bought those things? With craft supplies the answers include connection, creative expression, and basic me time. Turns out my planner is the answer to giving myself the experience!
It's not quite a rant, but I had to share how I feel about expectations for cards that cost crazy money to make or take an hour a piece. Friends, when you put your time, talent, and energy into creating a handmade card you are sending love! Quick cards can be gorgeous and they'll send that most important message - that you cared enough to make something especially for the recipient.

It was one of those manic Mondays. My boss called me in early. Technology hated me. Nothing was going quite right. I checked my email expecting a bunch of spam and maybe a bill, but no! Two listeners took the time to reach out and make my day :)

Do you remember the first time you heard Danny and Sandy singing about those hot summer nights? Did you cruise around the roller rink to "Xanadu"? More than once, Olivia Newton John provided the soundtrack to seasons of my life. I was sad to hear of her passing and inspired to listen to some of my favorite tracks from "Please Mister Please" to "Physical". Now I'm planning to include her songs in my scrapbook, telling my story, complete with musical soundtrack.
It's the last full month of summer. Let's reflect on the joys of the season and putting your favorite summer treats on your August calendar.

I can't believe I'm talking about Christmas cards while it's over 90 degrees outside! This no pressure approach leaves me roughly 16 weeks to make everything and means everything will be done before the holiday rush. Listen in to hear more.
Can you believe we are halfway through the year? Let's do a progress check on our annual goals and/or 22 in 2022 lists! Where can we celebrate completion? Which items need to be removed from your list? Which items made it into your scrapbook?

When life is rich with options and opportunities like a tray filled with desserts, it's all to easy to over indulge. It's time to slow down, reflect, and focus so I can really savor the events I choose. I'm excited to use my craft skils to help me focus on my goals and celebrate the good times.
It's time to document and celebrate the first 100 days of the year! Let's create a layout of simple pleasures, pastimes, and delights.
Two out of three of my big March adventures were just plain duds, but I'm keeping them in my scrapbook. I'm not making a highlight reel! I'm accentuating the positive and making my own magic but there's still room in my album for the things that didn't go well, the plans that didn't work out, and all sorts of less than perfect moments.
Ferris Bueller said it best. "Life moves pretty fast." If you're like me you don't have time to scrapbook all of your photos right away. I've got a new system that helps me get my fast paced life documented with ease.

It's Just Do It day and my coach just gave me a pep talk. After intense planning sessions and a hard look at getting one of my goals back on track, it's time to fit in fun, adventure, and scrapbooking.
It started with an ear worm. I couldn't get this Taylor Swift song out of my head and then I couldn't stop thinking about what we remember, how we tell our stories, and what I can do to make my own magic. Maybe life is sweeter for its contrasts?

In this final episode of 2021, I'm sharing the story of the crafty friends who taught me to always make space at my table and I am looking forward to our next adventures in 2022.
Becoming a rock star paper crafter is easier than you think! When you find your creative flow, when you love what you create, and when you give up perfectionism, you are a rock star. Join in the fun without fancy tools, expensive classes, and a warehouse of supplies. Let me show you how.
You know I love discussing habits and productivity. In this episode I'm talking about how my identity as a paper crafter and business owner helps me to create routines as I take on dry run December.
Making a list and checking it twice, I'm not only keeping track of the holiday traditions I want to document in my scrapbook but also the things that bring me joy.
Both an organizing system and a philosophy, there's a lot we can learn from a chefs standard practice to put everything in its place, prepping ingredients, and designing productive environments.
Where are my fellow planner junkies? I love 'em book bound or digital. This time of year I am checking out options from Leonie Dawson and Tranquility du Jour - both old favorites, plus new to me offerings from MuchelleB and Lavendaire.
It's my first day at the new job! It's a season of change for me, which naturally includes letting go of some things that are no longer my best fit to make room for the new.
Tell me about the most important relationships in your life. How did you meet your bestie? How did your friendship grow? Mine has been by my side for some crazy ups and downs. This very personal episode is dedicated to the woman who stands by me when no one else does, the little sister of my heart.

I'm also including my favorite 5 minute craft project - part home decor, part organizer.
I've got that back to school feeling and it's really lit a fire for organizing and planning. I'm making sure my calendar reflects my values by carving out time to stamp! Since I value creative expression and feeling connected, I've got an all day craft session with my scrappy buddy planned this weekend. Not only will I connect with her, but I'll have cards to share with friends near and far!

I'm sharing the yuck in the hope that it inspires you to put more than your highlight reel into your scrapbook pages. Share your highs and lows, your authentic self!
I watched Pursuit of Love this weekend and I was struck by the scene with the best friends' scrapbook pages. Documenting a relationship is evidence of how much it's valued. I call on my bestie to share just about everything. She's been there for the good, the bad, and even the ugly. She means the world to me. As Linda repeats in the show I'm lost without her.
I hope this podcast is known for positivity, helpful hints, and crafty goodness, but today that's all out the window! I'm bent out of shape about something and it's time to get it off my chest.
