Truly Anchored is for anyone looking for guidance from a younger adult outlook based on the truth of the Bible. This thought provoking blog site comes packed with many different outlooks and a variance of topics. Both Dean and Trai are evangelists and have been friends for many years. Troy Robertson, President & CEO of Arms of Hope, joins Liberation to discuss the service & work of Arms of Hope and his journey in ministry. Arms of Hope is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Christian care organization that assists children and single-mother families in need. Arms of Hope’s facilities include Medina Children’s Home (60 miles northwest of San Antonio) and Boles Children’s Home (40 miles northeast of Dallas). The facilities have over 150 years combined experience in comprehensive residential care programs for children. Arms of Hope also reaches disadvantaged children in their own neighborhoods in various communities with its Outreach Ministry programs.

Nick Westburg joins Liberation to discuss his conversion to from atheism to Christianity. Nick talk about the original seed planting by his girlfriend (now wife), during his late teenage years to later transitioning into ministry and how, for him the transition was seamless. During the show we will discuss how Christians should better deal with those who are atheists or agnostic. Nick will also stress the importance of Christians taking responsibility for their own relationship with God and personal Bible literacy. He will also briefly talk about his blog, The Jesus Addict.

Liberation Season 3 kicks off with a return to Pontiac, Michigan. We salute Coleman Yoakum on a DECADE of helping the less fortunate. I will be speaking with Coleman ( Executive Director) & Emma Tracy (Kids Program Director and Assistant Executive Director) of Micah 6 Community about post pandemic service of the community & the progress of the upcoming Webster Community Center. We talk about much more, plus we have a special guest Josh to tell us about his experiences with Micah 6.
Micah 6 Community is a non-profit program that serves the needs of the less fortunate in Pontiac, Michigan. Micah 6 has home grown community gardens which gives away hundreds of pounds healthy food away to their neighbors and surrounding neighborhoods. They interact with drug addicts, low-income families and homeless people to not only make sure they can eat properly but they also extend their homes and provide them the gospel and the love of Christ.
Micah 6 Community also serves the community through a small year-round produce store called SPROUT. They also provide a summer kids camp and after school tutoring for neighborhood children, giving them opportunities for enrichment and field trips. Micah 6 helps bring the community together with neighborhood barbecues.

Jerrie Barber, who has been a preacher for over 60 years joins Liberation to talk about his years as an interim preacher and why he doesn't want it any other way. Jerrie presently serves on an interim basis as the evangelist of the Pacific church of Christ.
Jerrie will talk to us about some of his ups and downs as a preacher and he looks to assist congregations find "the right guy" while becoming the right church. Jerrie also shares his wisdom with us about Bible Study methods.
Jerrie will talk about the New Shepherds Orientation that he conducts to prepare Elders for the work they will be getting into as shepherds to their congregations. He will tell us about his blog sites and his book "Between Preachers: You Can Grown Through Interim Ministry."

William and Aida are members of the San Jose church of Christ and they join Liberation to talk about their work in ministry, education and technology. Both have spent numerous years teaching art and technology and have used this knowledge to not only teach kids and adults but to also advance the gospel of Christ.
William and Aida will talk about their endeavors STEM/STEAM teachers and some of the advancements they have helped make in peoples lives. We will also talk about the pros and cons of the Metaverse and the Oculus by Facebook (META) and how we can use the metaverse to advance the Word of God. Catrina would go on to become the founder of Cry for the Broken, a ministry that transitions ladies into sobriety & provides basic needs to ladies while building relationships and showing love. In association with Cry for the Broken, Catrina also runs the program S.E.A.R.C.H., which provides safe housing needs for those without a home to call their own. Good friend, volunteer & Catrina's mentor, Karen Brown also speaks on her role with the program and how she initially met Catrina through a jail ministry through the church of Christ.

Jerry Mitchell joins Liberation to discuss his award winning work as an investigative reporter for The Clarion-Ledger of Jackson Mississippi. Jerry talks about the cases he has worked on including his reporting helped bring many Klu Klux Klan members to justice, including those responsible for the firebombing of NAACP leader Vernon Dahmer and the assassination of NAACP leader Medgar Evers. This episode is for all the "preacher's kids" out there. In this episode my mother and my aunt join me to talk about growing up as 2 of 6 children of a preacher (Robert Rouse) in Augusta, Georgia. They talk about the lofty expectations and pressure kids of preachers sometimes deal with. They also talk about my lovely grandmother (Callie Rouse) and her example to them.
Mom and Auntie also talk about their weight gain and the severe health issues that ensued. They talk about what they have done to reverse it and how their faith played a role in them taking control of their health and provide some wonderful healthy tips they have learned along the way.
This episode is dedicated to Robert and Callie Rouse and the seeds they planted. Love ya'll and you are missed still.
