John (Boomer) is a child of the 60's and Evan (X) is a child of the 90's. Their unique friendship and vastly different life experience often makes for entertaining conversation and an interesting podcast.

In episode 60, we found a survey done by FiveThirtyEight that questioned people on their favorite movies to watch again and again. We bring in guest movie critic Patrick Neff from Reel Man Reviews and we discuss our own lists.
In episode 59 we bring in immigration lawyer Matthew Steel to educate us and our listeners on immigration. Later we shed some light on some of the current ever changing immigration issues(as we were recording The Supreme Court expedited Trump's travel ban case). We hope you enjoy and learn something in the process, we sure did.
After a six-month hiatus The Boomer and X show is back with “season two”. A series of events, some expected and some not, kept us away from the studio for an extended period but we finally managed to make it back.
So, here’s an update of some of the things that we’re been up to since last November along with a few comments about some things that have been going on in the world around us.

In Episode 53: Sports Shorts 9/22/16 we cover some of the key games and big upsets from the previous weekend in college football. We talk about some key injuries suffered by NFL players in week two. We also take a look at NFL teams that are 0-2 and which ones may be in the greatest danger of not meeting their goals for the 2016 season. We then make a few picks in college and NFL games for the coming weekend. In Episode 17 we revisit topics from previous episodes, namely deflation in the NFL and childhood immunizations. Afterwards we discuss Astronomy and, more specially, discoveries brought to us via the Hubble and Kepler Telescopes. We talk about some of Albert Einstein’s theories and how well they’ve held up for over a century. One of Einstein’s most important theories was proven by observations taken during a solar eclipse in 1919 by one Sir Arthur Stanley Eddington. Arthur Eddington is actually a distant relative of Boomer and X co-host Evan Eddington. We then go right into a fascinating conversation with veteran, meteorologist and award-winning author Buzz Bernard about his multifaceted career and about his life as an author.
Mr. Bernard shares his story about how he first became interested in writing and the experience of pushing through some two hundred rejection letters before finally getting an agent and becoming published. He also talks about the process he follows in writing a book, including researching his subject matter for authenticity. In episode 5, we hear New Year’s Resolutions from several of Evan’s friends and family members. Evan and John then discuss New Year’s resolutions in general and some personal goals that each of them have set for 2015. After a break, John gives his thoughts on the state of LSU football. The guys then turn the conversation to college football in general and the big bowl games of the previous weekend. They finish with some conversation about the NFL, the previous weekend’s playoff games and the upcoming Divisional Playoff Round.
