Connect with me over email: thespiritualfem@gmail.com. I would love to hear what's been alive for you in this season of life! In this final episode of the Spiritual Feminist podcast, I talk about my radio silence of the past year (and what has happened!) and how I feel about energetically closing this space. Never say never, I might be back, but in the meantime, find me on Substack (which I hope to start up again soon) and on my Dutch podcast with breathwork & mindfulness practices AdemZee.

Thank you dear sister, for being part of this glorious journey we call life and part of this community with me. I appreciate you, so so much.

Welcome to the 150th episode of the podcast! It's not like I have timed these things, but it just so happens I have something major to share with you - we found our dream property in the north of Sweden! Life has been an absolute rollercoaster ever since, and in this episode, I tell you all about it. I talk about the day the butterflies came back and other signs I received, as well as the synchronicity of Aries season & the Spring Equinox for this chapter in my life. Above all, I'm experiencing a level of depth and spirituality on my journey that is unlike anything else. In this episode, I tell you all about it. I can't wait to share more of this journey and all the life lessons this land will gift me with you! Read the March in Review post on my Substack 'Untethered by Leneth Witte' here. This week, I wanted to share the Substack I wrote in 2023 about how my feminism and my desire to live a slow, simple life might be at odds with each other. When I reread this piece the other day, I realised how apt it was for the phase I (still) find myself in right now and I wanted to share it on the podcast as it resonated so much still and wanted to open up the space to muse on it further with you. I find it so interesting (and perhaps a little scary) to observe how the online spaces about slower living and homesteading are becoming dangerously close to right-wing, tradwife content - which is a space I absolutely do not want to be in. It begs the question how my feminism rhymes with desiring a simple life and leaving hustle culture. In this episode (and in the Substack blog), I delve into this deeper. Mind you: I don't have the answers (I wish!) but I think posing the questions and allowing ourselves to reflect on these matters, is somewhat of an answer in itself :). I'd love to hear your thoughts! I'm also looking forward to getting my Substack going at some point soon again. Watch this space :). Read along with the Substack piece here. I'd love to hear from you, so please come find me online! It is the Equinox - a time of 'in between', a snapshot in time of stillness and divine balance, and also a marker of a change in season. A time of 'not quite', and equally a time of planting seeds and transforming our energy by letting a little bit of Yang in. This liminal space is marked here in Sweden by 'vårvinter', literally 'spring-winter', the season in between. We have the warmth of the sun and the longer days already, but it is also still snowing at times and the ground is still frozen. This season here is teaching me a lot about pausing, surrender and how stillness can stir so much and does require a gentle flow. In this episode, I talk about how I experience this season in my inner world too, with my bleed being delayed and the next chapter in our life here in Sweden not being there yet. I muse on how I still find meaning and belonging within the margins of life, and how a moment of pause and not-knowing actually faciliatates and accelerates growth and transformation - if only you dare to be fully surrender to it. How are you experiencing this Equinox? And how do you navigate seasons of in-betweenness?I'd love to hear from you, so please come find me online! I've been experiencing grief and sadness lately, and in this episode I muse on how I was able to hold myself in those waves of raw human emotion and feel safe within that too. I truly believe you feel the depths of your emotions to the extent you’re able to hold them, even if it doesn’t feel like that in the moment. What you do need, however, is space. Space to feel, space to listen in, space to be. And yes, this is a privilege, but also a basic human right & need! To know grief is to know love, and in that regard I am so grateful to have been experiencing this heaviness. I hope my ramblings today hit home in a way for you too.

What does it mean to live intuitively? If the past six months of life have shown me anything, it's that I'm much closer to doing so than before. In this episode, I reflect on how I've gotten to the point where trusting myself is now my norm, and how I've learned to letting life flow. To me, living intuitively means stepping back from time to time and letting life take over. Daring to let life unfold as it's meant to and not force or pressure anything that isn't aligned. It's not easy - but it can be simple. I hope that with this instalment of the Untethered series, you will find inspiration and support to choose the intuitive life for yourself too. It's time for our annual reflection & intention chats! Recording this a little later than usual, but I did want to continue the tradition of this yearly episode where I talk about my reflections of the past year and my word & intentions of the new year, so I'm happy that I found some time and space to do so! As always, I dive deep into the energy of what I wish to embody in this upcoming year and the lessons I learned in the past year. Equally, I talk about what I'm proud of, where I'm at in life & what I'm looking forward to in 2025. My word of the new year is 'presence' and I hope to find calmness, gentleness, and a general sense of unfolding and trust within that word (and within the year). So, grab a cup of tea or cacao and let's catch up! I'd love to hear your thoughts, where you're at and what your word of 2025 is, so please come find me on the interwebs! Can we all soften a little more in the imperfect present? I've been sitting with this deep invitation during the past couple of weeks, as I find myself in an in-between phase in life and dealing with the messiness of it all! In today's episode of the Untethered series, I invite you to come as you are and muse with me on how we can approach the remainder of the year with softness, devotion and a sense of grounding. I talk about how I found myself in a freeze state upon returning to the Netherlands and how setting up a 'self care schedule' has given me the framework to get myself out it. I also invite us both to sit with a couple of (journaling) questions, reflecting on what is alive within me today and how I can be kind to myself today. I'd love for you to take some time and space today to reflect on this for yourself, if that resonates! Come to Sweden with me! Get on the Sweden retreat waitlist & be the first to know when I'm ready to offer it to you. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this episode, my musings on the Spiritual Feminist as a brand name + Sweden retreats! You can DM me on Instagram (@thespiritualfem) or send me an email with your thoughts (hello@thespiritualfeminist.com). Oh, and Spotify has a reply option per episode now too (on mobile)! Hi dear sister! I'm back on the podcast with a brand new series titled 'Untethered'. In this series, I explore where I'm at right now in my life, how I'm finding moments of grounding whilst doing vanlife fulltime, and what my lived experience of spirituality currently looks like. In this first episode, I catch you up on my year, talk vulnerably about why I stepped away from - and pressed pause on - the Spiritual Feminist (and the power of quitting), why I feel called to come back with the podcast and how my word of the year, 'space', has been serving me so far. Oh, and I also talk about feeling the calling to do retreats again! I recorded this episode outside, at a beautiful lake in the north of Sweden, in the autumnal sunshine (a.k.a. my happy place!). If you tune in, I just want to say the biggest thank you. For sticking around, or finding the podcast and engaging with the content whilst I wasn't there to feed it. It means the world to me that the Spiritual Feminist podcast & platform has still felt so alive this year. I'm excited to see how it will evolve. I'd love to hear from you! You can also follow my vanlife adventures over on @tinytimestwo.

It's the annual reflective episode where I dive deep into how my word of the year served me for this past year and looking forward to setting intentions and receiving a new word of the year for 2024! Even though I have taken a step back from creating content, I really didn't want to miss this tradition. So, in this episode:

  • I catch you up on my life and plans for 2024
  • I reflect on this past year using my favourite reflective tools and talk about how my 2023 word 'devotion' has served as a red thread
  • I talk about how the word 'space' will probably be my 2024 word and the intentions that this word offers me too

I hope you have a wonderful end to the year and start to the new year. I want to thank you SO deeply for being here and sticking around, it means the world!

I've officially entered my Saturn Return and, totally on brand, I've been going through many shifts! In this episode, I talk about what Saturn return means and how it's affecting me right now. I muse on why I'm taking a step back from entrepreneurship, how for the first time in my life I don't need to know what's next (or plan it) and how my creativity is pouring back in. This episode is a little different than usual, as it is me reading out loud my first ever Substack piece. Today I’m joined by Lisa of the beautiful platform the Bare Female, whose work is rooted in Yoga, somatics and feminine embodiment. I am a massive fan of her membership and her Yoga work in general, so you can image how excited I am to share this episode with you!

In this episode, Lisa & I talk about: 1. What feminine embodiment & sensual Yoga actually mean - and how simple that gets to be (!) 2. What it's like building a business and brand around something that can be a little 'out there' 3. The importance of returning to your inner knowing - and how Lisa has done that throughout her own life It's continues to blow my mind (even though it's happened a fair few times on this pod and within our community already!) that so many of us walk such a similar, inspiring path of life - and that we can be very no-BS about our spirituality & empowerment. The questions I cover: 1. How do I break free from attaching worthiness to my job and career path? 2. How do I find a balance between the need for funds and a sense of abundance? 3. How do I accept that being ‘me’ is enough?

How does new moon energy, inherently Yin, support the Summer Solstice energy (very much Yang)? And how do we move through a season of light and outward-focused energy with intention, connection and grounding?

In this episode, I invite the both of us to reflect on:

  1. Taking chances, sowing intentional seeds and keeping your energetic channel open for creative downloads (without feeling overwhelmed). What does it mean to say 'yes' to life more often and bring yourself back to the present, spontaneous moment in this season?
  2. Embodying flow & pleasure, and how we can feel safe and excited to prioritise having fun.
  3. Prioritising sacred rest and a whole lot of Yin-vibes in a very Yang season - depending on what you need.

I'm taking a little summer break with the podcast - but not before I'll upload a Yoga Nidra special next week, so keep your eyes peeled. I'll be back late August or early September. In the meantime:

Whenever I read back what I wrote in my journal, I'm always amazed at the growth and insight my own written words show. Not that what I write is particularly profound, but the lined pages are somewhat of a safe haven to me. And in this new recurring series, I'd like to take you with me into my heart, mind and journal to explore where I'm at currently and how I'm moving through my own inner process.

I talk about...
1. How my word of the year, 'devotion', continues to show me the way inward instead of outward.
2. What capacity, abundance and the dark moon phase have to do with devotion to myself and to life.
3. How my Saturn return is inspiring me to explore the concept of wholeness - and what it means to be a whole woman.

Devotion is showing me how I can slow down, get still and focus on softness and going within. And it feels like a mini awakening / levelling up in frequency to notice how my capacity is growing to share happiness and pleasure from an abundant place!

Hang out with me this summer!
1. Get on the mailinglist for weekly musings and free resources
2. Check out the free Sacred Rebellion roadmap to get you started on (or deepen) your journey of healing and empowerment.

A big part of inner child work IMO is reflecting on where, how and when your inner wildness was conditioned into good-girl-energy. In this episode, I reflect on my own take on this and how we can potentially bring our consciousness to the next generation too.

I talk about... 1. How fear, guilt and shame are external factors we internalise as the framework of our inner good girl. 2. How we can redefine 'good' and 'bad', perhaps especially when it comes to emotions and how we feel about ourselves. 3. Why community is a key part in breaking through blockages and connecting back to the inner wild.

You're deeply invited to join us inside Goodbye Good Girl - my brand new programme in which we journey together on this healing and empowerment journey. This programme is set up so that you never again have to feel alone on your path - and you can journey at your own pace and in your own way through it all too. This spiritual life isn’t easy - it’s a conscious choice and also something you can’t really back out of once you find yourself this path. So much about this discovery journey is about growith, and with that, comes the discomfort of getting out of your comfort zone. So if you find yourself in a phase of growing pains, with your nervous system being activated and the ground underneath you quite shaky, this one's for you. I talk about... 1. The three main ways in which you can experience growing pains: when shadow work comes up but you don't feel ready, when you know you need to start setting boundaries and bring your new-found beliefs to the outside world, and navigating a vulnerability hangover and an activated nervous system. 2. How to hold yourself through these growing pains: with acceptance, a holistic and compassionate approach, consciously seeking joy whenever you can and leaning into the support of a community too. 3. My new programme Goodbye Good Girl and how I believe you should never have to navigate the hard parts of your spiritual journey alone!

I hope this episode inspires you to be really kind and patient with yourself as you navigate these shaky grounds. Know that this is a big part of your journey and you're so brave to sit in the discomfort and taking it one step at the time. You got this sister, and you're truly never alone! x

As an energy, our inner Spiritual Feminist is the ultimate wild woman, the ultimate witch, the ultimate divine feminine archetype. It speaks to the necessary intersection between feminism (and activism) and spirituality (and conscious living). Leaning into this archetype can help us break free from the chains of our inner Good Girl and bring us towards a more aligned and authentic way of living. In this episode, I explore the different ways in which we can reconnect with (and reclaim!) our inner Spiritual Feminist.

I talk about… 1. What the Spiritual Feminist archetype means to me and what reclaiming the Witch, creating space for the Wild Woman, and calling in the Dark Feminine have to do with this. 2. Honouring that this reclamation gets to be an ongoing journey and how my inner Good Girl still crops up too. 3. How you can allow your inner Spiritual Feminist to support and inspire you on this journey just as it does for me!

I hope this episode inspires you to uncover empowering energy within you, and makes you realise that your inner Spiritual Feminist has been there all along. It's simply about releasing the layers of conditioning that make you believe it's not! And remember: my programme Goodbye Good Girl can help you with this too! This bonus episode is a gift from me to you, offering you deep support on radical acceptance, reclaiming what spirituality means to you, connecting to self care and inner needs, and knowing that you're already doing enough.

The questions I cover: 1. How do I accept who I am, was, will be? 2 How can I accept I don’t have to hide and be invisible all the time? 3. How do I connect to the elements? 4. How often do you say I'm sorry when it's not truly needed? The language you use has a direct effect on the stories that make up your reality, as well as on your energetic field. So this larger 'I'm sorry energy' may be keeping you smaller than need be - and blocking your empowerment. This episode gives you insight in why we carry such apologetic energy and how to move beyond that.

I talk about… 1. How this apologetic energy can also lay bare underlying issues of urgency, insecurity and staying stuck in Good Girl mode. 2. Useful substitutes for 'I'm sorry' and how this rewrites your empowerment story too. 3. How an embodied approach helps with guiding yourself from feeling guilty to stepping into your inner fire.

I hope this episode inspires you to take up space more unapologetically, more often, and to experiment with how that feels and looks like for you in this season. ~ Get on the Goodbye Good Girl waitlist to be the first to be able to sign up to this lifetime group programme - and receive early bird discount too!

Intuition by definition is a scary thing in a world that is based on rational structures and frameworks. We are so conditioned to believe that trustworthy has to equal dependable and calculable. So, let this be your invitation to come back into alignment. Do you feel a nudge from within to take an intuitive step, but feel scared to listen to it? This peptalk is for you!

I talk about… 1. What it means to go beneath the fear you're feeling - and using it as fuel . 2. How you can be rooting back into alignment, taking your time, and giving yourself a loving kick up the butt too. 3. How considering the alternative can be motivating too.

Above all, I hope this episode will show you that you're definitely not alone when you feel a little afraid of trusting your intuition - but that you are deeply worthy of doing the brave thing and exploring the aligned decision in your life. Take the leap of faith, step by step, and come back to the knowing that there is a reason that you feel the nudge. You got this, sister!

Let me start by saying that there's no quick fix to healing and empowering yourself. Nor should there be.

The spiritual path is about taking your time with getting to know yourself and understanding where limiting beliefs and patterns come from and how you can break through them in a supportive way.

In this episode, I dive deep into the 4 physical & energetic ways in which you can empower yourself in this season of your life.

I talk about... 1. How the feet, hands, throat and womb play massive factors in (dis)empowerment on a personal and collective level. 2. How to reclaim these parts of your body and energy for your own empowerment 3. How to give yourself permission to journey through this step by step - and why it's super important to have fun along the way!

What do you get when you mix earth and water? Right, mud! So what does this have to do with feminine energy?

In this podcast episode, I dive deep with you in exploring the elemental wisdom of Earth, Water and Mud - and how this lays the foundation to your feminine empowerment.

I talk about: 1. The importance of grounding - and how this is always an anchor to come back to, even if spirituality is seen as 'floaty'! 2. The emphasis on flow and trust in spirituality and how these watery concepts can be very powerful 3. The importance of embracing mud, what that even means when it comes to doing shadow work and exploring creativity and joy and why we're conditioned to dislike our murky waters.

What does being sacred mean in this world? In a very noisy, out-sourced world, this is your invitation to return back to sacredness: an energy of attention, devotion and agency. In this episode, I muse on how we can move away from the 'Instagram-aesthetic' spiritual practice and bring it back to what truly empowers us. I talk about: 1. How I decided to quit my weekly yoga teaching job and am returning to my personal yoga practice as a sacred act. 2. How developing a feeling for your spiritual healing journey, before words and explanations and justifications come into play, is a sacred rebellion. 3. Why this doesn't mean hiding away, but taking back power through devotion, stillness and valuing your inner world. Does it feel empowering to you to return back to a sense of sacredness? Please know I'm always here to support you on your journey. You're never alone, sister!

Let's have our annual end of the year reflections! In this episode, I talk all about how my 'unbound' year has brought divine lessons and blessings, as well as how my 2023 word 'devotion' came to me and how I hope and think it will serve me.

I bring in three journal prompts in this episode for you to use to reflect on '22/'23 yourself: 1. How have I been soft to myself this year? 2. How have I lived unbound this year? (or: How have I gone beyond my self-imposed boundaries this year?) 3. What will I bring into 2023?

I've moved into the tiny house and am coming home to myself after two months of to do's and hustling! In this episode, I catch you up on my reflections on this season of Winter(ing), the sacred feminine vibes of this Yin phase and how I'm redefining success and failure within this energy.

I truly believe it's time to reclaim words such as 'laziness' and 'selfishness' (or maybe we should just replace these with 'nourishment', 'rest' and 'relaxation'?!). We all have these conditionings within us that make us push ourselves to (and beyond) the limit, but this season of Yin is not the one for any of that. So as this new moon in Sagittarius is bringing us a fresh, wide-eyed perspective on our lives, I invite you to start building your cocoon and carve out a little more time for yourself.

I hope you find gentleness and nourishment in this season of Winter, no matter how busy the upcoming weeks may be for you.
And if you'd like some support, guidance or connection, know that I'm here!

Jenelle Annette is an inner work guide for women, helping them overcome painful relationship patterns & connect to their self-worth. Her focuses are on shadow work, inner child healing, ancestral trauma, conscious relationship & authentic relating. She believes that everyone deserves to harness the power of self-acceptance, as it is the necessary ingredient for limitless possibility and transformation.

In this episode, we dive deep into that topic of self-acceptance and why the fear of judgment is an internalised behaviour we can release. Jenelle talks about authentic relating and we both share our experiences with conscious relationships. Throughout our conversation she advocates for responsible healing - bringing it back to yourself and the only change you can instill - the change within.

This one's for you if you are ready to attract an aligned partner, speak your truth in whatever situation you're in and radically start accepting (and loving) yourself!

Why do we self sabotage? What is it about our own femininity and intuition that we distrust - and why? In today's episode, I shed a light on something I often talk about in this space anyway (but maybe not quite as explicitly!): internalised misogyny.

Hang in there (lol) as I personify these qualities into 'Steve' - and talk about why I think our own inner Steve is keeping us small and holding us back. BUT - this is also not about feeling the victim in our own story. We get to make waves here, and we actually get to invite Steve into the conversation too.

What do you think is out of your reach? And does it have anything to do with your ideas around your (un)worthiness? Then this is the episode for you!

I'm officially back from hosting my first ever in-person retreat in Portugal and it's time to catch you up! I never expected to have such a deep, transformative experience and in this episode, I talk all about how my word of last year (belonging) circled back to me during these weeks and how I healed deep parts of my own sisterhood wound as I held space for others.

I think I say the word 'affirming' about a thousand times in this episode, which is so telling of how deeply aligned this experience was for me. It was such an honour to meet 10 amazing women and hold space for them and I can't wait to make retreats an integral part of the Spiritual Feminist moving forward.

My heart has been blown wide open by the women there, the time we shared and the experience as a whole - and I think you'll feel it as you give this longggg podcast a listen! Now that even if you weren't there, you were a deep and integral part of the whole process. This community goes beyond physicality. We build it as an energy and I carry a piece of that with me wherever I go - especially post-retreat. For that I thank you deeply - and I hope to one day do so in person with you too! x

Nina Simons is the co-founder and Chief Relationship Officer at Bioneers, and leads its Everywoman’s Leadership program. Throughout her career, Nina has worked with nearly a thousand diverse women leaders across disciplines, race, class, age and orientation to create conditions for mutual learning, trust and leadership development.

She is the co-editor of Moonrise: The Power of Women Leading from the Heart, and the author of Nature, Culture, and the Sacred: A Woman Listens for Leadership—which has been released as a second edition in June 2022 with an accompanying discussion guide and embodied practices.

In this episode, I talk with Nina about how femininity can save humanity. We touch on powerful topics such as inclusive and sustainable leadership, stepping out of the hierarchy by melting together the masculine and feminine, bringing a sense of leadership into our every day life and how we can navigate anxiety around eco-feminism.

Ah, change! So much is shifting in my personal life right now and honestly, I felt like grabbing my mic and using the podcast as a personal journal today. So grab a cup of tea and connect with me over this big life update.

In this episode, I talk about moving and minimising and how this is making the explore the idea of identity, materialism and spirituality. How much of my identity is tied up in my crystals and oracle cards? How much am I going to have to compromise in this new phase in my life and how does that make me feel? Is it even a case of compromise or is it about expanding in a new way? How am I feeling about living differently - going tiny, going off-grid - and how does that run parallel with moving closer to myself?

All this and so much more is included in today's episode - and I can't wait to hear your thoughts! x

Quite a masculine title for a feminine podcast ey? In this episode, I invite you to explore what 'optimising self care' looks and feels like to you - and give you insights into how your nervous system, her hormones and her patterning can block OR help you with feeling nourished, seen and at peace.

What it all boils down to is asking yourself what you need. And this question of "What do I need" can be rather triggering sometimes, because when do we actually ask ourselves (or get asked by someone else) this? And if we do, do we always now the answer?

Let's create some space here to reflect on how to do less, 'be' more and honour our ever changing and evolving way of Being. If this episode resonated with you, check below for my offering Inner Alchemy, which is now open for enrolment again, woohoo!

~ Enrolment to Inner Alchemy is now open! Get your early bird until 24/07 and sign up until August 3rd. This is THE 4 month journey towards becoming your own energy healer. Check it out here and enrol today :)

Entrepreneurship is SUCH a wild ride, especially because you go against everything you’ve been taught AND you need to heal so much of yourself in order to thrive.

In this episode, I get really vulnerable about the behind-the-scenes of running the Spiritual Feminist and my entrepreneurial journey so far. I talk about reclaiming my expression, the messiness and uncertainty of biz and why I wouldn’t want to change a thing at the same time!

Are you an entrepreneur? Or thinking about it? Get in touch and let’s chat about the ups and downs of a life in which freedom and compromise are equal partners.

The most important lesson for me so far? Never, ever give up!

It's time for a deep heart-to-heart, catch up episode! I talk all about what is standing in the way of freedom, releasing the pressures and expectations that I feel, traveling to different places in the past month (both physically and emotionally hey!) and all the change I'm leaning into at the moment.

One key factor that instigated so many shifts lately has been microdosing truffles, which I do mention in the podcast. I consciously did not put this in the title because 1. I'm not here for the clickbait and I only mention it a little bit and 2. Consequently, I'm thinking of dedicating a whole episode to this process and have an expert come and share their knowledge too.

Bottom line, psychedelics or not, a lot is shifting in my life and I'm so grateful that you tune in every time and are here for the ride. Thank you for being here! x

~ The journaling questions as mentioned in this episode:
- What does freedom mean to you?
- What is currently standing in the way of experiencing freedom?
- No, but really? ;)
- How are you already experiencing freedom right now?
I hope they may serve you well! x

This is one of those episodes that I will forever hold close to my heart. When I connected with Bec for this conversation, I left feeling inspired, grounded and extremely open from my heart center... & I'm sure you'll feel the same after listening to this conversation!

Bec Wallis is a birthkeeper, doula, birth activist and womb healer. She's incredibly passionate about empowering birthing people to lean into their intuition during one of the most transformative phases and moments of their life.

In this episode, Bec shares beautiful personal stories and raw insights into how she became a birthkeeper, learned about her own trauma stored in her body and ways she leaned into the bodily call to connect to her womb.
We also dive deep into what frustrates her about the modern day medical field when it comes to birthing, where spirituality comes in and how to harness the beautiful cyclical ways of our being.

I know you'll love this episode no matter what phase of your life you're in. Bec is a force to be reckoned with and I'm so grateful she shared her powerful energy with us! Enjoy! x

Let's shine a light on the darker sides of modern day spirituality! I think because so many elements of spirituality have been popularised and westernised, some of the magic of the actual practice has been lost. Even something like personal beliefs in a deeper meaning of life has been put into a box of productivity, linearity and capitalistic ideals. Spirituality isn't always love and light. Spirituality isn't some insane hierarchy of gurus. Spirituality isn't putting the astrological energetics and lunar vibes above your own lived experience of that moment.

Spirituality is meeting those parts of your inner wisdom, doing what you like when it feels good, having fun and feeling the deep stuff - usually all at the same time. It's about time we release the pressure of having an Instaworthy moon ritual or a pretzel-like-yoga body, and that we take people in this community off of the pedestals we sometimes put them on.
Your spiritual journey is about you, and all parts of you. Embrace it - because you're exactly where, how and what you're meant to be!

With so much love,
Leneth x

Stella Tomlinson is a priestess sharing soul care for spiritually-curious midlife women - and she's the author of "Cycles of Belonging: Honouring ourselves through the sacred cycles of life". In this podcast episode, she guides us through the beautiful archetypal journey that we as women, or people embodying feminine energy, go through in our lifetime. Following the five sacred feminine archetypes of maiden, lover, mother, queen and crone, Stella shares insights into the energetics (and poetics!) of what it means to grow older as a woman in our world. We talk about lifting shame, owning our power and reclaiming our voice. As a woman grows past a certain age, there is a certain kind of silencing and erasure that can happen within our patriarchy. In our conversation, Stella brings in her wisdom to defy these conditioned beliefs and makes a strong case to reclaim womanhood - at all stages of life! ~ Connect with Stella on Instagram (@stellatomlinson.priestess), Facebook, and check out her book 'Cycles of Belonging', published by Womancraft.

Why are we so afraid of our own feminine sensuality and s$xuality? And how can we reclaim our yoni energy after centuries of repression? You asked, I (hopefully!) delivered: this is THE episode where I talk all about leaning into turn on, opening yourself up to pleasure and joining the sacred rebellion of our Yoni energy.

I actually don't even talk that much about s€x in the episode and talk more towards how rebuilding a relationship with your Yoni means living a more empowered life in your day-to-day. Of course, that ripples through to the bedroom - just as much as empowered experiences in the bedroom ripple out into your day to day relationship with your body and intuition! It all works together, and the time to get to work is NOW.

Join the sacred rebellion. You're safe to reclaim your Yoni energy. And you're so, so, so worthy of experiencing pleasure, happiness and intuitive flow in your life. Let's go!

I ask her all about the process of writing and designing the book and we dive deep into conscious living, how scary it can be to connect in a community and the healing properties of the land we grow our roots in.

Another year is coming to a close, and in this episode I reflect on the celebrations and lessons of 2021 as well as share how I'm calling in my intentions for 2022.

In the past week I've settled on an unexpected word of the year (and I'm a little in awe / afraid of it!) and started to call in my vision (board). It's time for an uplevel, and I'm so excited to live my life with my heart wide open in the new year.

In the episode, I pull the 'Passage' card from the Roots & Wings Oracle Deck. I also discuss the potency of the wheel of the year, of which you can find a visual chart here.

I also share an exciting writing exercise with you.
On five separate pieces of paper, finish the following sentences:
1. I am strong because…
2. I am courageous because…
3. I celebrate myself because…
4. I am rooted because…
5. I love myself because…

Fold these pieces and write their numbers on top. Number 1 links to the current Winter season. Number 2 to Spring 2022. Nr. 3 to Summer 2022, etc, finishing with nr. 5 as Winter at the end of 2022.

Use these affirmations as beautiful reminders of the potency of your dreams, desires and strength as well as the power of the energetics of the seasons!

So how are you leaning into these practices? Are you calling in your word of the year and 2022 vision already?

If you'd like guidance on this, get yourself the Wintering Bundle!

  1. The Winter Writing Sanctuary is there for you to energetically close 2021 with gratitude and open up the dream portal to the possibilities of 2022. Get clear on your word of the year, create your vision board and have fun! This journey is a self-paced, three-day workshop! Order it here.
  2. The Wintering box is a physical self care box filled with beautiful products and nourishing practices. This includes an aura spray, botanical candles and a restorative yoga class (and soooo much more!). We ship internationally and stock is limited. Order it here.

Plus, if you'd like to work with me in 2022 to bring your intentions to life, make intuitive choices and rise up - contact me! I'd love to hold space for you!

And above all, thank you so much for your presence in this space. It means so much to me, and I'm so excited to see where we'll go next year!

It's a personal episode this week, talking all about my inner processes of wintering, mental health wobbles and sitting with grief and sadness.

The word of 'belonging' for 2021 continues to teach, inspire and hold me as I move through difficult times. Perhaps at the start of the year I expected this word to give me a static type of rootedness, desiring a specific outcome and expecting a sense of calm and presence from it. I have since learned that 'belonging' is dynamic. It's a word in process, forever guiding me deeper inwards and growing deeper roots in different places of my Being.

As I say goodbye in different ways, I'm calling in space for new meanings of this word. Join me as I reflect on love, grief and everything in between as I look back on this year and hold space for what I'm moving through.

As always, thank you for giving me the space and safety to express myself in such a raw and vulnerable way. I am so grateful for this corner of the Internet xx

Get your Wintering Box delivered straight to your door (whilst stock lasts!).

Wintering is the act of finding deep nourishment in retreating from the world, dealing with your (mental) health with awareness, giving yourself space to BE instead of DO. In a world which glorifies the hustle, wintering is part of the sacred rebellion we engage in as spiritual feminists.

As Katherine May in her book 'Wintering' says, "We like to imagine that it’s possible for life to be one eternal summer, and that we have uniquely failed to achieve that for ourselves. We dream of an equatorial habitat, forever close to the sun; an endless, unvarying high season. But life’s not like that".

So how does your darkness look like? And you can allow yourself to not feel alone or strange when you lean into your inner and outer seasons of Winter(ing)?

What if trust is a choice, rather than something that comes organically? What is your self empowerment is a deep commitment, rather than a given?

Reclaiming our witch qualities in a society which is embedding cancel culture more and more is, ehrm, interesting... Speaking out about what we believe in has become scary as people are being called out, held accountable and even shunned and judged. Is it just another way of silencing people, or is it exactly what the ignorant parts of our society need?

In this episode, I speak to the outcast archetype. The witch is often seen as a person being on the edge of society, choosing a different life than the norm. Even though that may be true, I believe that the true outcast right now is the person who chooses to be in the middle, who chooses to remove herself from the divide that is currently occurring due to cancel culture, the pandemic, our political systems and more.

It takes courage to stand alone by standing in the middle. The ultimate witch chooses what feels best for her, even though that may feel most uncomfortable for her external world. Stay centered, my love, because your inner power is the most important quality you have!

I recognise this may be one of the more controversial episodes so far, but I am honouring everything I felt called to share today. I trust that it will land well with you, and you can always share your thoughts with me through an email or a DM!

Ever wondered how a story like The Ugly Duckling can show you the way of your Being? In this episode, I share with you how analysing myths and folklore tales can help you gain insight in your mind, body and soul. If you ever wanted to dive deep into archetypal study for your own empowerment, this episode is for you!

I use the story of 'Skeleton Woman' from 'Woven who Run With The Wolves' by Clarissa Pinkola Estés to illustrate the power of awakening your mythical imagination. The weaving together of words have a way of mirroring our inner world, and can thus show the way to a deeper understanding of our Self.

My aim for this episode is to make analysing the symbolism of story (and the power that this holds) accessible and digestable for you, so I hope you enjoy it!

Marissa Mignone is a doula, pre- & postnatal yoga teacher and allround powerhouse of a woman. We first met in a coaching container two years ago and have stayed in touch - and inspired one another - ever since!

In this podcast episode, we talk about Marissa's passion for doulaship. This holistic approach to support during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum is not just empowering to the person and/or couple that receive the support, but contributes to the collective wellbeing of women, men and children.

We chat about how doulaship inspires Marissa to be fully present, in the moment and in the world, and how this is inherently spiritual. Marissa also shares her views on the concept of pregnancy - and how she believes that within feminine energy, we're always pregnant with something, we're always creating and co-creating.

We also talk about mothering yourself, especially (but not exclusively) as a spaceholder. Taking care of yourself in our busy world isn't easy, but probably the most important and empowering thing you can do.

I hope this conversation with Marissa not just teaches you more about doulaship and the journey of pregnancy and birth, but also about taking care of yourself and approaching all of life in a spiritual, attentive way!

Working with the chakras gives you a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of your body, mind & soul. In this episode, I talk you through what chakras are, how you can work with them and what it means when they’re blocked, A journey of consciousness honours the holistic path of healing emotional, physical and spiritual elements in your life - and chakras are here to gain awareness in how that can work for you.

Chakra translates to ‘wheel’, and the seven main chakras in our energetic body all focus on various themes related to our emotional, physical and spiritual health. The main focus is that the wheels are turning healthily. A blocked chakra points to a wheel slowing down, and since they’re all interconnected, this can affect your whole being.

I hope this podcast episode brings you insight in what chakras are and how you can work with them on a personal level. I share a visualisation meditation at the end to give you an idea of what it can mean to work with all the chakras. There are so many resources out there (yoga classes, meditations, energy healings, etc.) that can help you focus on a particular chakra, theme or blockage.

If you’d like to dive deeper into the chakras, join CENTER - the virtual retreat! I’m hosting a whole workshop around what healing your energetic body can mean for you. I hope to see you there!

If you’re feeling triggered by Spring (Yang) vibes + post-lock down pressures, this one is for you!

In this episode, I dive into setting sacred boundaries, calling in radical empathy for yourself and others, and what it means to balance your root chakra.

To navigate these changing times, we need to lean into our innate sense of belonging. Belonging our Selves, AND to one another. We’re all interconnected - even if the pandemic has made us feel everything but that. To feel fully rooted and empowered, we need to safely and fully open our hearts to others as well as to ourselves.

The journey towards doing this requires a calm foundation within your Self, a grounded outlook on your own identity, and time & space to experiment with socialising again.

Feeling called to dive deeper into this? I’m holding space for you from 21 to 23 May in the shape of CENTER - the virtual retreat. This is going to be a deep AND fun experience for you to learn how to set sacred boundaries, work with your own energy to find healing and rootedness, and redefining your own normal in socialising and prioritizing your Self. I’d love to journey through this with you!

This episode was a FUN one to record - because I did it live on Instagram! I turned 27 this Tuesday (13 April) and wanted to take the opportunity to sit down with you and talk about some life lessons, lived wisdom and rooted intentions for the year ahead.

I talk about how I learned to turn my sensitivity from an obstacle to my superpower (hello intuitive fire!), how not everyone is meant to stay in your life as you step onto a higher frequency, how Universal energy supports you within and with-out, how grounding is crucial for a sensitive soul like mine, and how I stopped apologising along the way.

I dive deep into what it means to leave external validation at the door and only allow in celebration from outside sources. Mindset shift!

Altogether, I feel incredibly aligned with this birthday and have been welcoming it in with open arms. Life is ongoing journey of lessons and blessings - just because I learned about these mindset shifts, doesn't mean I don't have to make a conscious commitment on the daily to keep implementing them! And that's the beauty of it. Life is never stagnant and there is no finish line when it comes to growth :)

In terms of the year ahead, I would like to focus on fun, an open heart, connecting even deeper with nature and growing my business. I can't wait!

How can you hold yourself in a nourishing and supportive way amidst a phase of transformation?

In this podcast episode, I have a good old chitchat with you about all things change, energy and returning back to your center. What is possible for you when you leave external validation at the door & set sacred boundaries?

In this season of Spring, change is in the air. I talk about how I like to ground myself amidst that (sometimes overwhelming) energy and how in phases of (explicit) transformation, I like to lean into awareness, grounding & nourishment as three supporting pillars guiding me through it.

I truly believe we are always growing and transforming, but it doesn’t hurt to learn about how to support our Selves even deeper when those phases are even deeper than ‘normal’. Oh, I talk about what ‘normal’ is too! ;)

I hope you enjoy this long, ramble chat. It always feels more vulnerable to do ‘off-the-cuff’ episodes like these, but I know it always reaches your heart even deeper, because it comes straight from mine.

What does it mean to be a conscious sexual being? In today's episode, I dive deep with Jasmin Carman into all things sexuality, female reclamation and lifting shame.

Jasmin's own journey, from her religious upbringing to battling with (and healing!) vaginismus, and everything inbetween, has brought her on the deep path of self empowerment and reclaiming what it means to be a sexual woman.

Sexuality is so much more than what happens in the bedroom. We talk about creativity, spirituality and opening the body, mind ánd soul to the flow of life.

It was so easy and inspiring to talk to Jasmin about the light and dark side of female sexuality! May this episode give you the permission slip to lift shame around these 'taboo' topics, reclaim your own relationship with your body and liberate yourself!

Steffi von Brunner is a pelvic health mentor, yoga teacher and holistic belly massager. In this episode, she shares her vulnerable journey of pelvic health, healing her relationship with the root & sacral chakra and holding space for others to do the same.

Taken from her own experiences of pelvic pain, Steffi shares insights in how we can support ourselves on that healing journey. We talk about the importance of an holistic approach and thus creating space for the emotional to come into the physical.

We also touch on the courage it requires to talk about these topics online (and offline). Social media censors content around the female body in various degrees, sometimes silencing those who try to normalise the conversation about and share knowledge on women’s health.

I loved how Steffi and I felt so comfortable to talk about ‘intimate’ topics like vulvas & vaginas, discharge and educating ourselves on how it looks and works ‘down there’. I hope with this conversation we can contribute to normalising sharing about our personal experiences with our pelvis and female body in general!

Cassandra Wilder, aka The Menstruation Queen, is a Naturopathic doctor and leading expert in women’s cyclical health and menstruation. In this episode, I have a deep chat with her about all things menstruation, birth control, hormones and reclaiming our body as women.

Cassandra is passionate about demystifying the female body and shares her knowledge about birth control and how this affects our body. She describes alternative methods of contraceptive and touches on the importance of balancing your hormones, reconnecting with period and empowering yourself through that journey.

One thing I loved about our conversation is how Cassandra describes symptoms we can experience as body messages. What is our body trying to tell us? How can we support the healing process rather than numb the messages in the first place?

I hope you find listening to this conversation as empowering as it was having it. Some facts that Cassandra shares about our menstrual cycle, our hormones and birth control were absolutely mind-blowing to me and I am so grateful that this conversation (as well as social media such as podcasts) allows us to gain more understanding about these topics, so we can make empowered and informed decisions!

'The symptoms you have are not working against you, they're working for you, giving you messages of divine wisdom'. This is just one of the nuggets of inspiration and guidance Eugénie shares with us during this podcast episode, in which we dive deep into how Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as spiritual rituals using our menstrual blood, and everything in between, can support our cyclical, feminine body.

Eugénie is an acupuncturist and womb healing guide, supporting people on their journey back to their body. In this conversation, she touches on how we can work towards having a painless and even celebratory, supportive menstrual cycle. She explains how TCM sees menstruation as an integral part of life - seeing our bleed as 'heavenly' may be quite radical for the Western World, but can be so empowering!

She also talks about getting to know your cycle intimately by measuring your temperature (using the FAM method), choosing the right foods for a particular phase and allowing ritual to be a part of it all. One of the things I find so inspiring about Eugénie is how she openly shares online how she uses her bleed to make art, give back to Mother Nature and celebrate her body. What radiates from her online presence - and from our conversation - is that to truly live empowered, you will have to join the physical with the emotional and the spiritual.

For today’s episode, I am chatting to Sarah Blake, a cyclical living guide + biz mentor. She talks us through what it means to live cyclically, how to feel empowered by your menstrual cycle and what this can mean for your creativity. Sarah opens ups about her own struggle with her body and health and how learning more about her cycle has helped her heal.

We talk about how from a young age, we (especially women) are conditioned to mistrust our body. We discuss seeing our bodies as machines and how pushing ourselves to the limit is a myth rooted in toxic productivity. Now-a-days, we have more machines around us than ever but we’re still aiming to be like them!
One way to move away from this belief system is to reconnect to your menstrual cycle - if you have one of course! By doing so, we move away from wanting to be in control to a state of surrender and letting go. And magic unfolds when we do!

Sarah explains to us the different phases of our cycle and how this (can) affect(s) our energy:
* Menstrual phase: most inward, inner winter, creatively: dreaming
* Follicular phase: estrogen is rising, spring time energy, let’s make this happen!
* Ovulation phase: most outward (wanting to be visible / most magnetic). both high estrogen and high testosterone. feminine flow, summer energy.
* Luteal phase: fall energy, from ‘back to school’ to winter, slowing down. detail-oriented & focussed

Get to know YOUR cycle and see how this knowledge can help you flow in an empowered way!
Ultimately, what inspires me most about Sarah’s work and view on life is that we are worthy of returning to a sense of lightness and fun. In our lives, in the relationship with our body, in how we view ourselves and the world. I hope this conversation inspires you to feel into the same!

What’s coming to light again and again as I have conversations about the more intimate topics is that we all at one point think we must be ‘crazy’ for thinking a certain thing, feeling a certain way or experiencing something physical that doesn’t get talked about. I hope with these conversations we lift the shame we can all feel, we start to reclaim our own stories and feel less alone in the process!

This podcast episode is probably the most vulnerable one to date. I feel called to share my personal story of being diagnosed with the condition ‘vaginismus’, and the journey of disconnect with my body and trauma around my female sexuality with you. In the hope it will break stigma and taboo and that it perhaps will find some of you dealing with something similar - or even the same.

Vaginismus is the involuntarily contracting, squeezing and tightening of the muscles of your pelvic floor. This can mean that it is painful for you to have sex, or that it is impossible.
My experience is the latter.
There is 'lifelong' vaginismus - having this condition without no direct sexual trauma that has caused it - and 'acquired' vaginismus - which does point to direct physical trauma.

In this episode, I talk about getting diagnosed with vaginismus, the trouble I had with this condition throughout my past relationship and beyond and about having various different types of physical therapy to heal it. I talk about the successful therapy at a policlinic of a hospital, as well as the more spiritual outlook I have on my vaginismus now.
I believe that there is much past-life trauma that is stored in my pelvic area which I now carry around with me in the form of vaginismus. Talk about my spirituality, feminism and womanhood coming together!

I hope this episode will help some sisters out there, silently suffering with the same effects this diagnosis can bring. If you want to reach out and talk about it, please email me: thespiritualfem@gmail.com

If you live in the Netherlands and are interested in the treatment I talk about, check out the LUMC.

And once again, thank you for this safe space that has allowed me to talk about my story. It's such a healing experience for me and I'm so grateful we're all here to support and inspire each other. This sisterhood rules and I'm so happy to be a part of it!

Ah, the first pod of the year is here! I hope you're excited to dive deep into a personal chat with me about my word for 2021, soft intentions and a big life update.

I like to think that to live in true alignment is to have things come your way, to have words choose you and pets find you. This has definitely been the case this month, ever since I found the switch inside of my system and I turned it.

This switch symbolises me choosing to root down in the now. My dreamy personality, (subconscious) attachment to past lives and my anxious side have always had me live in the future - whether that was next week or next year. There was always a sense of 'not settling', of 'what's next'.

And this month, I chose to turn the switch and sit with my Self in the present. To make the 'longing to be' the ultimate intention.

It may not sound radical to some of you, it may even sounds like common sense, but for me it was a true decision from my divine masculine for my divine feminine within.

Grounding in the present moment to heal my anxiety, to find happiness and to thrive. Root down in my city, my home and my social circle to fully experience life. To find belonging in an around me, in the present.

This and more (hello Nala!) is what I talk about in this chatty episode of the pod! So tell me, what is your word for 2021? How did it find you? And what is your relationship with belonging?

What a WILD RIDE has 2020 been right? In this intimate solo episode, I wanted to sit down and talk about how I embraced my inner Wild Woman this year. AKA - how did I use & trust my intuition this year? What lessons did I work through? What have been the biggest themes and how did I use my inner fire to work through them?

I take you along these reflections with me using the four elements of Air, Water, Earth and Fire. I link 2020's lessons to these elements and I reflect on how they played a role in the lightness and darkness of this year.

From Bali back to the Netherlands, from starting my own business to diving into my past lives, from suffering with the worst mental and physical health (possibly ever so far) to feeling my inner fire burn brighter than ever before: 2020 has given me a lot and yes, like I wrote in my journal on December 31st 2019 (little did we know..!), I am ready for the lessons and blessings. I received them, I am grateful for them and I am looking forward to doing it all over again for another trip around the sun (metaphorically ey...) in 2021!

What have been your lessons and blessings of 2020? How have you been embracing your inner Wild Woman this past year? I would love to hear from you!

Mathilda and I met through the Instagram sphere a while ago and have found the nourishment of each other’s support and listening ear throughout 2020. Our hours-long Zoom chats keep inspiring me and I am excited to bring Mathilda’s wisdom to you through this episode!

Mathilda Littlehales is a holistic space holder and training in psychotherapy and breathwork. Throughout her upbringing, she already familiarised herself with the importance of the connection between body, mind & soul. The periods in her life in which she experienced anxiety and depression made her interests shift from solely nutrition and physical wellness to a focus on mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing - both in her own personal life and professionally.

In this episode, Mathilda shares her thoughts on feeling the darker emotions. She compares it beautifully to the butterfly’s journey, in which darkness is part of the metamorphosis. Darker (or more negative) emotions exist within each of us and we need to allow them to allow change in our lives.
Mathilda vouches for a re-sensitising of our emotions - learning how to connect with the body to fully feel through our emotions.

She shares the poem ‘The Guesthouse’ by Rumi as an example of how we can navigate our feelings and emotions through the body.

We also touch on inner child work and how this is inextricably linked to feeling all of our feelings. Mathilda shares a few practices to connect to our inner child and heal any wounds that may arise in the process.

We also touch on the spiritual and wellness industry and what spirituality means to us. Tools can be great but the true divination happens within, wouldn’t you agree? Mathilda shares how she finds the magic in the mundane, immerses herself in nature and connects to unconditional love for herself and for others to truly feel into spirituality.

Sanne and I met through Instagram and very quickly figured out we only lived 30 minutes apart! Oh, the wonderful synchronicities of the Universe! Sanne is a wild woman, fire keeper & forest dweller. She’s a nature-based coach and holistic herbalist, inspiring others with her deeply rooted connection to the land. Can you tell why I am so excited to have her on the podcast? Her way of living inspires me beyond words and I am so happy to be able to share her wisdom with you in this episode!

We talk about Sanne’s health journey and how immersing herself in nature has helped her healing process. She touches on the reciprocal relationship with nature we can all have: nature gives back if you give too! The abundance of the land is magical if you choose to see and feel it. We also reflect on two of Sanne’s favourite nature-based practices: the ‘sit-spot meditation’ and the ‘medicine walk’. She mentions how ‘every step is a prayer’, tying in nature and spirituality and inviting us to prioritise our connection to the land. It will give you so much in return! Sanne also talks about how nature can acts as a mirror and how she uses this in her work as a coach as well.

This year has shown me that nature is spiritual and that human’s connection to the land is inherently spiritual as well. Sanne really lives by this philosophy as well and I am so grateful for our connection.

Cato Vermeulen is an Evolutionary Astrologer, meaning that she uses astrology to dive deep into karmic patterns and past lives. As she describes in this episode, astrology can help us unlock our fullest potential and live in alignment. Cato mentions how self love needs self acceptance, and knowledge about your soul’s blueprint can help you with this!

In the episode, Cato enlightens us about the importance of our South Node [comfort zone] and North Node [purpose] in our charts (and uses mine as an example!). We also discuss the Sun, Moon and Rising signs and what they can mean for you. All this knowledge helps us to uncover our karmic tests of this lifetime - the lessons our soul is going to be confronted with, as well as parts of our personality. Diving deeper into this allows us to support ourselves on our life’s journey, rather than resist the natural course of evolution of our soul.

My biggest takeaway(s) from this episode? That connecting to cosmic wisdom can be incredibly empowering. Astrology isn’t meant to shock you with new information about yourself - it’s more of a deep remembering! Welcome to the homecoming to yourself - this is YOUR permission slip to embrace all sides of you!

Dr. Sarah Coxon is a women’s mentor, empowerment guide, all-round priestess and author of the forth-coming book ‘The Way of the Priestess’ - as well as part of my sisterhood! I’m so excited that Sarah and I got together again, 1,5 years after our initial podcast recording (before she became my mentor for a year!) to reflect on 2020 and talk about all things limitless living, being a woman in process and priestesshood.

In this episode, we talk about the reclamation of the female body and how this is a radical, daily practice. We are being asked to constantly rewire ourselves, especially because of the daily input from (social) media and society in general.
We also, of course, dive deeper into the concept of priestesshood and how this reflects a sense of divine integrity in the way we live our lives. In Sarah’s words, priestesshood is being a divine channel and to live with purpose. To move from a place of authenticity and ask yourself what mark you’re here to leave on the planet!

We also reflect on Sarah’s writing process for her forthcoming book ‘The Way of the Priestess’, and how she dealt with limiting beliefs and imposter syndrome along the way. Sarah points out the responsibility we have to share our stories and do so from a grounded, intuitive place.

I met my beautiful soul sister Mirai during our Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in Bali in March. We very quickly found out we lived only 15 minutes apart at the time and that we were working with very similar themes in our personal lives as well as professionally. A true bond was created - especially when we were able to travel back home together amidst the pandemic chaos.

I love how the Universe works her magic and offers us these synchronicities, and I love it even more that Mirai and I have the opportunity to combine our shared love of spirituality and the divine feminine and pour that into a sacred offering for you :).

In this podcast episode, we talk about Mirai’s journey of mental health struggles and how the path of Yoga helped her heal from within. The divine feminine has always been a huge aspect of that healing journey for her and in the episode she explains how and why. We talk about different practices and tools you can lean into to meet your inner divine feminine energy. And we announce The Divine Feminine virtual retreat we are hosting on 21-22 November 2020!

If you feel inspired by this podcast episode, join us for a weekend of yoga, meditation, connecting in sisterhood and healing from within - all from the comforts of your own home. By now, you know I like to debunk some myths floating around in the spiritual sphere. Whether these are spoken out loud or more subtly implied, I’m not about any narratives that seemingly empower us but in all reality still oppress us. Lately, I’ve been feeling into what it means to me to invest in my spiritual self development journey. Investing in terms of time, energy, attention and, yes, money. Why do I read this book, why do I hire this coach, why do I engage in this course? What is my intention behind it?

In this episode I feel into both sides of this coin. In my opinion, it’s necessary to take a step back and root down in our intentions and choices in this space. I think investing in yourself is radical, empowering and a beautiful lesson in self worth. It usually means the acceleration of your journey home to yourself. And that is something that couldn’t ever be expressed in $$$.
BUT - are you buying that course and investing in that coach because of that? Or because you (subconsciously) may believe that you NEED to do this in order to be spiritual and empowered?

I think there is a narrative in the spiritual world that you need to be throwing your money, time and energy towards all of these offerings all the time in order to be a ‘true’ spiritual being. And I think that’s actually setting us back from the true empowerment process.
You were spiritual even before your soul decided to come into your physical body onto this earth - exactly for that reason. You don’t NEED anything to peel away the layers of conditioning - it can be incredibly helpful to have mentors and books to show you the way and to inspire you (and I am eternally grateful for the people who have and will do so) - but nothing outside of you will innately make you a spiritual, empowered human being. You already are all that!

Jocellyn is one of those women who - in my eyes - just GETS IT. She uses spirituality in such a grounded way which - unsurprisingly of course! - really speaks to me. When I first listened to her podcast Soul and Mindset, I knew she had so much medicine to share and couldn’t wait to ask her onto mine. Here we are!

In this episode, Jocellyn and I talk about how she got to a place of rooted spirituality and self development. We explore the concept of embodiment and why this is so important for our spirituality. Jocellyn reflects on the idea of ‘urgency’ linked to patriarchal belief systems and invites us to lean into a sense of relaxation and embodied integration with everything.

We also talk about embracing and befriending our anger, which Jocellyn has created a whole course around. I think to embrace our anger is a rebellious act - not just in our patriarchal society but also in the spiritual community. Life’s not just love and light and that’s okay! Embracing our anger allows us to heal and process and come closer to our soul. Jocellyn talk about how this process has looked like for her, how it has empowered her throughout her life and specifically with everything that has come up in 2020 (socially, culturally, politically!). In her course ‘Befriending Anger’, she brings you on a journey to meet your anger and let it take up space. Sit in the discomfort - you will meet sides of yourself that are so worth exploring!

Get yourself a chai tea and cozy up, because today on the podcast I’m exploring one of my favourite reads of 2020 (and so far in my life, to be honest): If Women Rose Rooted by Sharon Blackie. I cite passages, weave in my own thoughts and hopefully give you inspiration on rewilding, authenticity and belonging within spiritual feminism.

I talk about how my spiritual feminism is essentially rooted in honouring the wisdom of Mother Earth and how we can only reconnect to ourselves by reconnecting to the land. Our land. This book inspired me to dive deeper into the rituals, spiritualities and histories that make up the Western world and create a foundation of my own spirituality with THAT knowledge, instead of grasping onto traditions from cultures which are not mine.

The text also urged me to explore how the necessity of feminism in our world mirrors the necessity of sustainability too. The acts of violence, abuse and trauma we experience as women is what Mother Earth is experiencing as well.

So as you connect to your own inner spiritual being, your body, your spirituality - I invite you to explore what this means for your outer world too. The earth that carries you. The nature that gives you the possibility to breathe.

I feel so inspired by these concepts that I decided to create a virtual workshop on Thursday 29 October at 8PM CET, called ‘Naturing Yourself’. We will explore the concept of rewilding within spiritual feminism and how we can celebrate our bodies as our natural connection to our soul and Mother Earth. Sign up for $22 - or join the Root to Rise membership for more content like this and you get to join the workshop for free. I’d love to hold space for you in this way :) !

Anika Poole is a 35-year-old woman from Germany who now lives and photographs in Portland, US. A while back she reached out to me with the idea to have her story on the podcast and I wholeheartedly said yes. I immediately felt such a courageous, wild-woman energy from her and was eager to learn more about her journey in mental health and reclaiming her own truth.

In this episode, we talk about Anika’s experiences with psychosis, the labels of bipolar disorder and PTSD and (postpartum) depression. She opens up so bravely and authentically about her mental health issues throughout her life, including the time during her two pregnancies and experiencing motherhood. We explore the topic of being seen as ‘crazy’, especially as a woman, and how looking at our (collective) past can bring healing. We talk about the concept of diagnosis, why those labels are necessary but sometimes also restricting and how we can then fall into the trap of pleasing our therapists instead of healing ourselves.

Through her story and beautiful sharings, Anika invites us to sit with the fear we can feel, to listen to its messages and to empower ourselves from within.

Now more than ever, I am so grateful for sisterhood and this sacred community we find ourselves and each other in - which is why I felt very called to offer my online journey ‘Facilitate Online Magic’ again, which guides you on the journey to host your own virtual womxn’s circles. In this episode, I reflect on sisterhood and the wounds that surround that in our society. I talk about what sisterhood has meant to me in the past and how I feel into it now.

We carry deep wounds rooted in history, which teach us to mistrust other women and to see one another as competition. How can we move away from that? How can we make sure we don’t forget to empower one another in the process of empowering ourselves? Helping someone else shine their light won’t dim yours - quite the contrary! Only by us being able to rise together can we truly raise the collective vibration.

It was in womxn’s circles and facilitating them I was able to truly start my healing journey with sisterhood. It’s allowed me to deepen my own self development & spiritual journey, make authentic connections, take up more space and inspire others to do the same.

~ Curious? I am rolling out Facilitate Online Magic again mid-October 2020 - read more about it and sign up for a call.

I had the opportunity to have a soul-led conversation with Ember Kelley, a director of religious education at Fourth Universalist Society in New York, a transwoman, and an all-round heart driven human being. This conversation opened my heart and my eyes in many ways and I am so happy to be able to share it with you through this podcast episode.

Ember talks very openly about her history with religion and religious trauma, how her journey of being trans has woven into that and how she is now redefining spirituality for herself. We talk about genderdysphoria, self love, religion vs spirituality and embracing the divine feminine. We discuss how Christianity has shaped her journey and how despite it, she has learned to love herself and celebrate her truth. We also reflect on how the online world can be both a blessing and a curse in terms of toxicity and education.

It’s so important to me to be conscious about how inclusive and diverse the conversations are that I am having for this podcast and in my life and as I continue to learn about different perspectives and journeys, I hope you will learn with me. I am so happy to have Julia on the podcast again. In episode 25, we explored the basics of Ayurveda and how we can use that for our own empowerment. Today, we are diving deep into how to use Ayurvedic tools for the transition into autumn.

We talk about quarantine and the opposites that brought this to our system. Have you been indoors but sending your mind’s eye outwards still? It’s time to turn inwards - truly! As Julia mentions, one of the pillars of Ayurveda is that like increases like & opposite balances. We’re moving into autumn season which is linked to the vata dosha. This means the elements of ether and air & the principle of movement and communication.

This points to key pointes such as cold, dry, light, rough, quick and invites you to feel into wetness, stability, warmth, heaviness. This will make sure you find balance and rooting and give you more intention in your day-to-day.

In this episode, we go into simple shifts you can apply to your diet and lifestyle to live a more Ayurvedic lifestyle as you’re moving into the autumnal period.

Alice Boydell is an intuitive tattoo alchemist - how incredible does that sound?! This conversation is as fun and insightful as you may be hoping it is. I dive deep with Alice on moving from watching the Little Mermaid, to studying to become a marine biologist, to finding herself in a community where she poked her first tattoo. That experience was the catalyst to not just a more creative life, but her path as an intuitive tattoo artist.

We talk about her mission to give people a spiritual tattoo experience and inspire others to live more creative lives. Alice talks about a couple of tattoo experiences she’s had which show the interconnectedness and spirituality of this work.
We also dive very deep into intuition, the ‘oneness’ of us all and why we even have missions in the first place. We reflect on being an intuitive soul with a business and reclaiming how work should look like.

It was so incredibly inspiring to talk to Alice about her life experiences, her vision on creativity and the passion for her work. I hope you feel encouraged to tune into your creativity and perhaps even feel into what it means to get a tattoo … ;)

In this unedited episode, I talk about my mental health journey and the anxiety I am currently dealing with. To me, mental health has always been very connected to my spiritual growth and self empowerment and I will always try to add to that narrative in the spiritual community. We’re not here to bypass, we’re here to move through & heal!

About 4 weeks ago I moved house and I now find myself in an unfamiliar city which I have to get to know amidst a pandemic and social distancing. This has been a feast for my anxiety, panic tendencies and agoraphobia - and by what I’ve read from your messages on this topic, you have been dealing with your mental health on and off a lot too the past few months. I think for me it’s everything together - being tired from moving, stepping into entrepreneurship, new surroundings, and a pandemic I’m confronted with more now I don’t live in the countryside anymore.

I also touch on what it means to be an empath or HSP and how that can affect you in this pandemic. Truly, we are all surviving & thriving in our own ways at the moment. Can we let that all be there? Can we meet ourselves in our deep dark shadows which we thought, sigh, we healed already, as well as give ourselves the sometimes-much-needed kick-up-the-bum to deal with it all and accelerate our healing?

What are your thoughts on this? Are you surviving? Thriving? Both? (probably!)
Please reach out and let me know. I’d love to hear from you x

This is the first time I'm recording solo in my new home and I couldn't be happier about it! It feel great to feel into the expansion this move brought with it as I'm talking about rooting down, exploring all sides of ourselves and feeling into female spirituality (only my favourite topic ever!).

So, in this episode, I explore the question I get asked A LOT: how do I start out with spirituality? And I probably don't answer it how some of you hope I will, simply because there is no quick fix, no easy 5 step guide or rulebook to follow.
Personally, I think that's the whole empowerment process this spiritual journey will bring you in. YOU get to decide what speaks to you, what sparks something in you, what makes you feel into YOUR spirituality. It gets to be fun and experimental and explorative. It gets to be the most personal, selfish (!) thing you have ever done and I am all here for it.

Quite literally too - as in this episode I announce my brand new offering, going live the 1st of September: the Root to Rise Membership! This membership includes a monthly exclusive podcast and virtual women's circle, a workbook filled with rituals and spiritual inspiration, a sacred online community of likeminded sisters and so. much. more. !!
Head on over to my website thespiritualfem.com to read more about it, download your FREE Rooting Within meditation and get ready to sign up for the founding members price of €33 on the 1st of September - which will be your monthly personal investment for as long as you stay a member.
I can't wait to hold space for you there. Get ready to root down and rise up!

For today’s podcast, I (virtually) sat down with Moika, founder of platform Ike Uwa, meaning the healing power of nature. Moika is a self love advocate and spaceholder, combining her passion for self care with her knowledge on the female cycle.

In this episode, we talk about the importance of making self care our number one priority! We discuss how you can align yourself with your female cycle more and how that invites a more conscious and intentional way of living too. We discuss hustle culture, self care amidst a global pandemic and BLM-conversations.

Throughout this conversation, Moika moves us from a disconnected, overwhelmed state to a place of recognition, grounding and inspiration.

To connect to our cycles is to connect to the seasons of the earth - and there’s a whole lot of empowerment in that!

How can we fully embrace change? How can we honour all versions (past, present, future) of ourselves whilst also feeling into flow?

In this podcast episode, I share with you the changes I’m currently feeling into (hello new house!) and how I try to navigate them as authentically as I can. I reflect on the idea of manifestation and surrender and how I’ve been feeling into a deeper meaning of those things. I share the fears coming up around this new step and the HUGE sign I received that showed me I can trust this new step of my life!

I recorded this episode before I got the keys to my new apartment and - as I’m typing this I’m deep into the moving process - I am SO happy I did. I love how podcasts are snapshots of your life in that moment and this episode is no exception.

So how can be embrace change and all versions of ourselves? Through reflection, embodiment and self love! And those are ALL things I will hold space for you in during our online retreat on 22-23 August. I themed this retreat FLOW because I think to FLOW in life is to live an empowered life, on your own terms, with a deeply rooted trust that you’re held and supported in the learning process.

I virtually met Nicola McGregor of the platform Sunday Sage about a year ago around a time when both of us were miserable in our 9-5 jobs and yearning for change. Fast forward a year and here we are, both building our business rooted in spirituality and empowerment and creating a life on our own terms! We connected on a deep level back then, both knowing life had so much more in store for us, and we have been able to be a support system for each other in those changing times in the past year.

I am so excited to have had the opportunity to talk to Nicola all about her choices of the past year(s) and how that has resulted in her created a new reality for herself. We discuss the meaning behind Sunday Sage and what influence Reiki has had on Nicola’s journey. We bring in how breaking free from the expected life’s path has been and the influence of social media on this! Nicola also brings in the idea of ‘personal leadership’ in her work and we talk about how we can bring more of that into our feminine, intuition-led lives.

Grab your favourite cup of tea because this is such a cozy episode in which we talk all about what it means to become an alchemist of your own life. How empowering does that sound right??

2020 is definitely THE year of growth edges for most of us - myself included. In general, I do find that in conversations with you all, I meet you at a crossroads of fear and rising, of retreating and growth. In my experience, we cannot rise without discomfort. We cannot find empowerment and true happiness without constantly pushing ourselves and feeling into the excitement of new things instead of living the way we have always known.

So, in this episode, I explore what it means to sit in discomfort and navigate growth edges. We can experience many different types of growth (spiritual/work-related/relational/etc.) but in the end, we experience growth because we’re human living on planet earth, where nothing is ever stagnant and change is the only constant! So how do we approach these growth edges? How do we hold ourselves in the process of discomfort?

I also talk about my personal growth edges of this year so far, including my experiences in and of Bali, my new-found entrepreneurship and my redefinition of ‘home’. I hope it serves as inspiration and support for you and the growth edges you find yourself in at the moment!

There’s a lot to do around ‘finding your purpose’, especially in the spiritual self-development world. I believe it stems from the desire for a more connected, fulfilling life and to break out of the restricting and stagnant systems of society. And I have felt this (and feel this still) too! However, I think it’s time to debunk the myth that this is something you need to seek outside of yourself. What if our purpose is already living within us, ready to be uncovered? What if our purpose in life is to raise our consciousness by choosing things that excite and expand us, over and over again? What if there’s nothing tangible to make of that but it’s simply a way of living you need to adopt?

In this episode, I explore the idea of finding your purpose and how I think there’s a lot of pressure that comes with that phrase. I also talk about how intentional living is its counterpart. The idea of finding your purpose or calling is capitalised by the industries that profit off of selling the idea that there’s something missing or broken in your life or personality. Intentional or slow living, to me, shows me that following the breadcrumbs of excitement and finding stillness and awareness in this process is the true calling of humankind. Lean into the trust that everything is unfolding as it should - this will give the space for your soul’s calling to come through, from within. Trust truly is the most empowering thing you can give yourself.

I am so excited to talk about one of my favourite topics ever - MONEY! Why do we hate it? Why do we shame it? And how can we call in a HEALTHY relationship with money which includes spirituality too?

In this episode, I tell you all I have learned so far about abundance, scarcity and our relationship with money in relation to that. When we see money as an energy flow, we also need to acknowledge that it needs to move and that we will always attract it and give it out.
This to me was the first step in changing my view on money. The second was to get critical on my limiting beliefs: do I actually think I am worthy of receiving money and spending it too? Can I make money living my dreams? Is it abundantly available around me, FOR me?

What truly helps is creating mantras enforcing your gratitude for it and reflect on how money has worked for you in the past and what it can do for you in the future.

These are just a few of the tips and tools I share with you in this episode. Please let me know what my words and views brought up for you. I believe that only by healing our relationship with money we can fully empower ourselves. This too is the work that needs to be done in order to break through patriarchy and other systems of oppression that hold us back on our journey. So feel into that abundant energy around you and take steps to a healthy relationship with the good ol’ dollar bill! You are worthy of it all.

Important note: Sadia and I decided to push back our recording for a few weeks when the conversation around Black Lives Matter started to gain momentum - to not just give space to black voices, but also to pause and reflect on our own place within the discussion. In this way, we believe we were able to come onto this podcast recording with a better understanding of the current discourse.

I met my incredibly inspiring friend Sadia Masud 6 years ago, in Canada, in a Race & Ethnicity class at the University of Alberta where we both studied back then (I was there for a semester!). Sadia has always inspired me in terms of sisterhood, female strength, compassion and so much more. Since forever we’ve been wanting to record a podcast together to speak about her activism, writing talents and personal experiences of life and I am so incredibly happy to present you this episode.

We talk about the meaning of identity and how for the BIPOC community specifically, identity is often seen as something in relation to someone else’s (e.g. you’re ‘not’ white), instead as an individual. We talk about the importance of awareness of privilege - of course, it is relative, but the majority of us carry some type of privilege with us. Sadia calls to seek discomfort in this work and states that, ‘you can’t be a good activist if you seek to just liberate yourself’. YES! I couldn’t agree more.

It calls in the idea of Radical Empathy, which calls on the resilience of the BIPOC community and our interconnected communities as well as the urgent need for awareness and action.

On this podcast in general, we talk about liberation in terms of womanhood. I truly believe that all systems of oppression are rooted in patriarchy (be it white supremacy and thus racism, sexism, capitalism, etc.). However, it is also extremely important to be aware of the intersections that take place for all of us. My experience as a white, heterosexual, able-bodied woman with a university degree is very different than Sadia’s, who identifies as Muslim,Canadian with South-Asian and Middle-Eastern descend and, with wearing her hijab, being part of the visible minority community. And of course, there are countless examples like these. Sadia mentions the Combahee River Collective as one of her inspirations to become aware of intersectionality. I speak about the White Feminism lecture by Rachel Cargle which speaks about white privilege in the feminist movement.

Sadia’s book will celebrate the resilience in and diversity of minority communities. It aims to give BIPOC a voice. Read Sadia’s essay ‘Taken Over by the West’ which inspired her to work on this book. Sadia also recommends ‘Sick Woman Theory’ by Johanna Hedva to dive deeper into the concept of Radical Empathy.

I know this is only the start for this podcast of more inclusive, reflective conversations around these topics. I hope this episode instigates you to think about your role in this conversation and about ways to commit to activism. As Sadia mentions, ‘activism isn’t just about outward change but also about creating inward change’. The two need to co-exist to practice active activism and create actual change, not just for yourself but for others as well. Practicing self-care should be an important part of this as well. In the end, I believe we are all connected, so change needs to happen in order to raise the collective vibration. We need to seek the discomfort to make it comfortable for every single one of us.

Sadia - I know you read this ;) - thank you for being such a bright, shining light in my life. I admire your strength, your compassion, your beliefs and your activism. Meeting you six years ago was a blessing back then and it is grown to be an even bigger blessing in the years following our time at Alberta University. I can’t wait to see your next year and celebrate your wedding with you.

And for everyone else - please let me know what you thought of this episode. What triggered it in you, what resonated, what did it enlighten for you? Let’s keep the conversation going!

Eden Thaler is a Food Freedom coach - guiding people in their relationship to food, body image and self love. For her, healing her food issues was the start of her personal development and spiritual journey.

I knew that at some point I wanted to talk about these topics but I didn’t want to approach it on my own, especially because these topics can be so triggering and personal, which is why I’m so happy I got to have this insightful and empowering conversation with Eden.

In this episode, we talk about what food freedom means and how our relationship to food can be so all-consuming. We discuss our inherent worth as human beings and women and the generational trauma that we carry around. Eden talk about how meditation and other tools has helped her heal and I feel into how such tools bring us back to our most true self. We also talk about femininity and womanhood and how our body image is key to connecting to ourselves.

Going within and lifting the shame - it’s only one of the many nuggets of wisdom that Eden shares with us in this episode.
I’m aware this topic can be triggering for some (or many) of us. I hope you feel held in this conversation, and never hesitate to reach out to Eden or myself about this if it did strike a chord with you. Love you!

In this very spontaneous and un-edited episode, I talk about taking care of yourself and your mental health amidst these heavy, strange times. Not only are we in the middle of a pandemic still, and most of us also still in lockdown and are we engaging in the intense and important conversations surrounding Black Lives Matter, but it’s also eclipse season (plus a bunch of retrogrades and all of that…).

We are literally being asked astrologically to slow down, surrender and let the Universe do her thang, whilst on the other hand we are being asked to engage in protest & debate, whilst on ANOTHER hand (I mean, we only have two!) the pandemic is still demanding most of us to live our lives differently than we used to. Phew, it’s a lot.

And it’s okay to feel like this is a lot.

I hope that from this episode you’ll take away that if you don’t rest, you also cannot fight. In the words of @feministsexed, ‘Rest is not the enemy of change. It is one part of its fuel’.
I also talk about Rachel Cargle in this episode (see her website and her Instagram). Plus, I mention April Harter’s @racismrecoverycenter.

More resources will be shared as I engage in conversation with friends and colleagues on these topics.

My intention with this podcast and the Spiritual Fem community moving forward is to emphasise their inclusivity and diversity whilst also acknowledging that it is founded and run by me, someone who experiences privileges from many angles. That’s okay - it just means I have all the more reason to step up and also use this platform to help other women step up too.

I invite you to ask yourself ‘what is it that I need right now?’ more often moving forward. I truly believe that’s at the root of honouring who we are and all we can do to make the world a better place.

I met Kalyn during our Yoga Teacher Training in Bali ~ and we instantly connected over tarot cards, our experience of the online world and the idea of sisterhood. To be honest, I think our souls have been connected for a very long time, we only needed to physically meet still!

In this episode, we chat about Kalyn’s spiritual journey, what spirituality means to her, how she experienced our intense YTT experience in Bali and having to come home.
We dive deep into her journey in reclaiming her spirituality and truth, both online and offline. She mentions how spirituality for her means a strong connection to the Universe.
We also discuss her moving into adulthood online and the pressures she felt with that. She is super honest about navigating a more conscious creating through a strong sense of rootedness within. It has allowed her to move out of a mindset rooted in fear and scarcity ~ something in which therapy has helped a lot for her.

I get curious about her favourite spiritual practices (hint: slowing down has a lot do with it!) and how she navigates being vulnerable online, on which she says, “through our vulnerability and imperfection, we create space for others to be human too”.
Ahhh, there is SO MUCH in this episode!

The way in which Kalyn navigates mental health, spirituality & life is truly inspirational (in my very-biased-opinion). We met each other amidst the crazy discomfort the world finds itself in right now & I am so grateful that she very quickly has become one of my close friends in this crazy world of online entrepreneurship. I truly feel we captured the energy of our deep dives in Bali too, which I’m so excited to share with you.

I met Emilia in Bali and knew from the minute we started chatting she had so much beautiful wisdom inside of her. Emilia Francesca is an entrepreneur, coach and all-round bad-ass inspiriatrice in my humble opinion! I was so happy when she agreed to come on the podcast to talk about women’s coaching, navigating life and so much more.

In this episode, we dive deep into living your purpose (and how to find that), going within, finding stillness and softness in the process and how to listen to your intuition. Emilia mentions how allowing yourself to lean back can actually give yourself all the answers you’re looking for. You don’t always need to do the work ‘actively’! We talk about being fully present in the ‘now’ and finding stability in our inner world.

I

LOVE that the conversation went into softness and stillness. I see Emilia as a super ambitious, driven woman who knows her stuff, and I wasn’t expecting us to feel into the other side of that as well. I left this conversation feeling inspired to both find some time to rest as well as to work on new projects, and I love how both sides of this coin can co-exist.

In this episode, I talk you through everything that is currently going on in my life. I guide you through a meditation, I pull cards with you, chat about my morning rituals and routines and how I’ve been connecting to nature. I have been finding a sense of rootedness which I have never truly felt before living here in the Netherlands - so interesting!

This rootedness and, consequently, this deeper connection to myself, made me feel into manifestation more. What is it that I would like from life this year? How can I call this in? I have been visualizing my dream home and feelings around that and through that something clicked into place.
A deep trust in that everything will unfold for my highest good came up and hasn’t left me since. This also allowed me to release certain limiting beliefs around my money mindset (which is an ongoing process!).

Please let me know what resonated with you and what you’d like me to dive deeper into as well!

Since our last recording in October, I struck up a friendship with the beautiful Sophie from The Place, an online and offline space for spiritual moments and connections.
I talk to her a lot about spirits and guides and she always inspires me to deepen my connection with the spirit world. In both of our online communities, we see a huge number of you also being interested in building these relationships, which is why I asked Sophie to come on the podcast again to chat about it all.

We discuss what spirits actually are, how you can find out who your guides are and how to connect with them. We also discuss the stigma around this part of spirituality, if it’s dangerous to connect with the spirit world and where our imagination comes in. What is reality? Does it matter? Do we make our own reality?

Sophie offers intuitive readings in which she connects with your guides and uses oracle and tarot decks to channel their messages.
Check out her website for all the information and her Instagram for more spiritual offerings.

In this episode, we talk about the book Signs by Laura Jackson.

Intuition is such a huge topic in the spiritual community. What is it? How can we cultivate a relationship with it?
I find these questions so difficult to answer, since it’s such an intangible ‘thing’. However, it’s also the most powerful tool we have within us to make decisions and stand in our power. To me, it is an integral part of my feminism and spirituality, which is why I'm talking about it more in-depth in this episode!

We have not been taught to listen to our intuition. Conscious reasoning is favoured in our patriarchal society - facts, stuff we can see and explain and have a linear pattern. The cyclical, emotional and intuitive side of us has been silenced for centuries.

Uncovering our intuition can therefore be an uncomfortable process. It often means going out of the comfort zone we know.

However, I truly believe that amidst the discomfort, you can meet your wildest, truest, most authentic self. Your female power, with limitless possibilities.

I think this episode is only the start of our chat on intuition - there is SO much more to say but it is definitely a dialogue. Let me know what came up for you in this episode. What is your relationship with intuition? How do you connect with her? Please reach out, I’d love to connect!

In this episode I talk to Olivia Iasonos about Human Design, a topic I have wanted to dive deeper into for a long time. What is it? How can we use it for ourselves?

Sidenote: we use my personal chart as an example throughout the episode.

I loved this conversation with Liv, who goes really deep into Human Design and how you can see it as a tool to uncover your uniqueness. Human Design sheds light on our energetic, spiritual, psychological and emotional make-up. Drawing wisdom from many philosophies, this tool allows us to go on a journey of self-discovery.

Human Design knows particular (non-)energy types, and in this episode Liv explains them all. We also chat about how Human Design came into the world, how she came into contact with it and how we can read the rest of our chart, such as our Authority and Profile (it’s more than just your energy type!).

Liv mentions the book ‘Way of the peaceful warrior’ by Dan Millman.

Of course we are only scratching the surface here because there is SO much to Human Design! This episode really opened my eyes to that and I love how this tool focusses on alignment, uncovering your truth and living your most authentic you. As Liv said, ‘No one’s designed to operate from the mind’. I love how Human Design emphasises this connection to our intuition and I definitely feel called to dive much deeper into my chart now :)

In this episode, I discuss the amazingly powerful work Burning Woman, written by Lucy H Pearce.
I discuss a couple of chapters in the beginning and at the end, leaving space to read the work yourself and gather your own thoughts and ideas.
I think this book will trigger a lot in every woman reading it, which is what it did to me and why I wanted to discuss it on the podcast.

Lucy lays bare the painful his-/her-story of women’s relationship with fire.
The continuous collective threat and fear is deeply rooted in our nervous system. Fear of what? The fear of being labeled a bad girl. Bad girls get burned. Literally and metaphorically. This is why as women collectively we are kept small, and we keep ourselves small. Think about the word ‘heresy’ as an example. Her-e-say. Her Say. RIGHT?!

This book discusses the sisterhood wound, about taking up space, and mainly about reclaiming our inner burning woman. The woman who listens to her burning passions. Who knows that in the past (at least in the Western world) she would have gotten burned for her power and her beliefs but now she can reclaim her power and burn brightly from within.

I’d love to know your thoughts on this episode, what triggered you and what resonated (or both!) and if you’d like to pick up this book yourself now too.

I also wrote an article on this archetype and book for Roots & Wings Magazine. Check out their website to order your copy of the first edition, which features my article alongside other incredible texts by inspiring women (including Lucy H. Pearce herself!).

How do we navigate disappointment amidst a time where everything is uncertain? How do we handle heaviness & insecurity in a society that is riddled with anxiety? And how do we practice gratitude and remain a sense of perspective through this all?

I was inspired by an article I read to record an episode about how I’m currently navigating life ~ which is definitely not looking like I thought it would!
Coming back from Bali, I have now been able to finish my YTT! This helped to heal the emotional + spiritual wound I brought with me from the other side of the world. Becoming a yoga teacher is a dream come true and made me realise life, amidst the chaos, is not so bad after all.

However, closing that circle also made space for the disappointment I felt about how everything regarding my travels went. I try to welcome these feelings in, in order to heal them. The article said, ‘You can never miss out on anything. Everything is happening as it should’. Reading this, I realised that surrendering into this moment is all I can do. The article also said, ‘If you stop searching for what should have been, you can be found by what is actually there’. No more ‘could have’ or ‘what if’, but feeling into this moment as I’m right where I’m supposed to be.

How are you navigating these uncertain times? I would love to know. Reach out on Instagram or via email. We’re all in this together! x

In this episode I talk about one of my favourite books of all time: Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. This text has shown me time and again (and still does!) that creativity is a co-creation with the universe. The mysticism of creative ideas and endeavours never ceases to amaze me, and Elizabeth’s words make the process all the more special.

I believe everyone is creative. Whether that is singing, painting, writing OR decorating your home, finding a new road to work etc. Everything in life is creativity. Therefore, you are already working with this universal energy.

Elizabeth explains it like this: ideas are energy (or a disembodied life-form) and they decide to pay you a visit because they want to be made manifest by you. You have the choice to engage with the idea. If you decide to do so, it is now your (amazing) responsibility to do the idea justice. Create, whether you feel inspired or not. Create and the process will transform you. Have the courage to say yes - and see what magic will unfold.
Opening ourselves up to creativity is the biggest rebellion & success in itself.

Let me know if you have read this book and how it changed YOUR perspective on life. If you haven’t read it yet, I’d love to know if this episode sparked anything in you. Get in touch!

Not recording the last Bali Diaries in Bali is strange, but my reality right now! Considering everything that is currently happening in the world, I had no choice but to come home. My YTT got postponed two weeks in, and along the way my mental and physical health had been suffering as well.

It’s almost strange to say that I feel pretty okay with being back in the Netherlands. It’s a huge surrender-experiment, but I also know deep down this is exactly where I’m supposed to be right now.

In this episode, I answer your questions about my Yoga Teacher Training and talk about how I experienced the first two weeks of this intense programme. We will be finishing our course online in the very near future, after which I can call myself a yoga teacher, woohoo!

I also talk about my travels in general, how my mental health suffered in the past few weeks, how I got physically ill and how that affected my body image, and ah, so much more. I basically talk to you like I’d write in my journal.

I hope there’s resonance and support in my words. These past 7 weeks of traveling have not been easy, and saying that brings some shame with it as well. I hope by being honest and transparent about it all, it helps me gaining confidence and helps you in turn too.

Let’s stay grounded and connected during these crazy times. I think it’s all we can do.

What happens when you are silent and offline for three days?!
In this episode, I tell you all about my Bali adventures after Kerry left. In those two weeks, I have felt anxious, insecure, nervous but also empowered, on fire and very high vibe.

After a lot of insightful moments in different parts of Bali, I spent three days at Bali Silent Retreat. It was both a beautiful closure of a triggering time and the start of a journey to a more empowered me. I am so humbled and happy to be able to share the raw and unfiltered parts of this journey with you.

I talk about my time leading up to the Silent Retreat, where I saw a healer, spent a few days in a remote village where it rained the entire time I was there, and where I wrote the first letter to my inner child.

During the Silent Retreat, I felt so nurtured and held by myself. I realised how much I’d been relying on other people’s affirmations and validations for my own voice and could gently move away from that. Little did I know that that was the most liberating experience I could have ever given myself!

If you’re interested in the Bali Silent Retreat, check out their website.

For this episode, I sat down with Ayurvedic expert and Yogi Julia Blohberger. For a long time I’ve been interested in Ayurveda and what that can mean for my diet and lifestyle, and I am so happy and grateful that I was able to pick Julia’s brain on all things Doshas, elements, tongue-scraping and oil pulling!

Ayurveda is an ancient wisdom and lifestyle which shows us we are all unique beings - and how can we find balance in that along the way. We talk about finding compassion and self-love and how Ayurveda encourages a softer way of living.
Julia describes our connection to the five elements before diving deep into the three doshas (‘constitution types’): Kapha, Pita and Vata.
I ask her how we can live more in balance with the seasons and thus ourselves and she explains the good and ‘bad’ qualities of each dosha (which explain us how we can find that balance!).

From ceramic meditation bowls (LOL) to adjusting our gaze in yoga, and from traveling to oil pulling on your bike (WHAT?), Julia tells us ALL.

This is really a powerful and deep episode where you might want to write a few things down along the way. It is packed with soooo much wisdom!

This conversation showed me how accessible Ayurveda is and how small adjustments really do go a long way. It’s all about honouring yourself, the people around you as well as the animals, and nature which are all part of Mother Earth.

Let us know if you do the test and tell us which type you are and if you can relate to that!

~ Follow Julia on Instagram: @julia_blohberger and check out her website: https://www.juliablohberger.com. A comprehensive guide on the three doshas can be found on her blog. Check this test to see which dosha you lean towards more!

I am in Bali! I met my soul sister in real life! It is all happening!

On our last full day together, Kerry and I sat down to record what is probably the most intuitive episode I have ever done. We talk about our travels together as well as apart, the spiritual world in Bali, triggers and sisterly love.

Kerry spent a month in Borneo before she came to Bali, where she volunteered with orang-utans. It was a life-changing experience for her in more ways than one. At the same time, I needed some time when I arrived in Bali to ground and feel myself again. Mama Bali does not mess around with her energy and lessons!

We talk about the sound healing at Pyramids of Chi we went to, as well as the full moon kirtan & cacao ceremony we attended. Both were incredible in their own way, and we have similar as well as different experiences with them. We agree that the power of kirtan and gathering lies in losing yourself in such a way that you meet and find yourself completely.

In this episode, we pull from the Wild Kuan Yin Oracle Deck (pocket sized edition). Check out my highlight on Instagram (‘Card Pullings’) for a sneak peek of the look and feel of this deck, and look up Alana Fairchild for other beautiful decks like this one.

I am so happy we recorded this podcast, in our noisy and sweaty little hut on Nusa Lembongan. I feel like it captures our mindset so beautifully and reflects everything we were feeling and moving through at that moment. This is what the Diaries are going to be like!

When I first met Emeline (which was when I received my first Reiki session), I knew we had a special, deeper connection I couldn’t explain. I had just started the Spiritual Fem and she immediately encouraged me to think deeper and broader. I thought to myself: she would be a dream guest on the podcast. Her wisdom, view on business and life and incredibly contagious energy are just a few of the things I admire about her. After that first Reiki session and Business in Alignment session after, we always stayed in touch and here we are! I am so excited to bring this conversation to your ears. We both left this chat energized and inspired, so I hope you’ll feel the same!

Emeline Vogelzang is a Business in Alignment coach, helping entrepreneurs to find healing and transformation in themselves and their businesses. Her tagline reads “Shift your Energy, Elevate your Business” and that is also a very apt summary of our conversation. We talk about alignment, energetic vibration, money mindset, ‘protecting’ your energy and how to have fun with life and business. She believes that business is just one of the tools to reach our highest potential and her passion for people to reach this definitely comes through in our conversation.

I know that whether you’re an entrepreneur or not, there is so much medicine in this episode for you. Intuitive decision-making and focussing on alignment to feel more empowered are things we can all use in our day-to-day lives. Emeline also shares an exercise to use energy to help you if you feel overwhelmed (whether that is in a busy city, at work, or by yourself).

I hope this episode feels empowering to you! Emeline has a very special vibe, and it’s an honour to be bringing that to the podcast! As always, I’d love to know what you thought of this episode. If you like, it really helps the Spiritual Feminist if you share the episode on your social media. If you’re on iTunes, please rate & leave a review! This helps other Spiritual Feminists to find the podcast :) x

~ In the episode, Emeline talks about the book ‘The Big Leap’ by Gay Hendricks. The quote ‘Fear is just excitement without the breath’ (woah!) is part of the Gestalt Therapy, introduced by Fritz Perls, MD.

Yessss, I’m back! I’ve missed you, connecting with you through this medium, sharing insights with you, I’ve missed it all! It was good to have a break in January and I’ve had many break-throughs because of it, but YAY for being back :)

My January started soooo powerfully. I set the tone for this year & decade by choosing ME from the get-go. Making intuitive-based decisions can be scary but trust me when I say you’ll notice soon enough you’re so held, so supported & so seen when you do.

This month I’ve also been able to feel into my mission for the Spiritual Fem more, realising that this is so much bigger than myself, so I can release any imposter-syndrome of me doing this work (since it has very little to do with ‘me’!).

This is also why I now want to share my offering with you: I am going to be taking you on a three-month journey called ‘Facilitate Magic’, starting mid-april. In these three months I will be guiding you every step of the way to facilitate your own (women’s) circle. I believe healing & empowerment doesn’t necessarily happen alone, and creating more spaces where vulnerable and authentic connection can take place is at the core of the Spiritual Fem. Through sisterhood, we find empowerment, healing and so much more. I am incredibly excited to guide you on this journey. Check out the Instagram highlight for all the details so far - enrolment opens in March, but connect with me if you want more info before that!

I can’t wait to take this podcast, the Spiritual Fem in general, YOU and myself on this journey. It’s actually happening - I can hardly believe it - but I am leaving for Bali! Let’s see what’s on the other side :)

I’ve been moving through a lot these past few weeks and recording this episode about it all made me realise what a privilege it is to be sharing this journey so raw and openly with you all. Thank YOU for sending me messages about all the episodes, telling me they inspired you, and sharing the podcast on your socials. It honestly means the world.

In this episode, I talk about how empowering it is to rewrite your story. How I saw myself as a teenager, how other people see me, and how I use labels to form stories about who I am, has all been worth reassessing ~ and rewriting where necessary. You see, the stories we tell ourselves shape our reality and identity. It is therefore extremely powerful to critically edit where necessary.

I also talk about setting soft intentions and being kind with ourselves as we are slowly wrapping up this year and decade. Maybe setting an intention, and forming a mantra, will help you start 2020 with the right energy. Maybe your soul is craving something else. There is no right or wrong.

Personally, my 2020 mantra will be ‘I flow like the river’. This, to me, symbolises the permission slip to lean back. It’s a reminder to see life not as a path to be walked, but a river to flow with. I am held by the water!

I wish you a year full of self-love, empowered action, spiritual moments and intuitive decisions. I can’t wait to take you to Bali (and beyond), and share my raw and honest journey. I’ll see you in February! x

Emma appeared on the podcast in episode three, and I really wanted to have her back on to do an ‘end of the year self check-in’ with me! We enjoyed recording the first time so much, and I know it was deep medicine for many of you, so I am really happy to share this second episode with my best friend today :).

In this episode, we recap Emma’s year post burn-out and mid-recovery. We talk about how in this society, we often define ourselves through our jobs, and how for us both this past year has completely shifted that perception. How can explore ourselves, our identity, our intuition? How can we tap into our inner wisdom again?
During her burn-out, Emma decided to quit her job and step into unknown territory in her life. Through that, she learned to trust in herself and go with the flow. She has learned to not focus on the future too much but live more in the now, which I find so inspiring. We discuss how setting boundaries is something you need to learn but is so important to thrive. Learning how to shift the feeling of responsibility towards others, towards ourselves, is incredibly powerful.

I hope you enjoy this life-update with Emma, that you feel supported by our words and that, if it made you reflect on your own 2019, you feel grateful and empowered about how far you’ve come.

Merry Christmas if you celebrate it, and I will see you before we close this year with the last podcast of the decade!

I am so incredibly excited to share this interview with my wonderful friend Kerry Hinns today! Kerry is an incredible space-holder, providing space for women to show up as they are, working through shame, trauma and insecurities.

In this episode, we talk about self-sabotaging ourselves and creating a bliss list. We discuss the beauty of sisterhood and healing the collective wound, the power of empathy, and the lack-mentality that our society pressures on us. We share a discovery we did that day of a beautiful spiritual serendipity.
It’s pretty crazy to (unknowingly) already have connected to Kerry before we even knew each other. Our stories are running more parallel than we realised ~ and goodness do I feel grateful for Kerry and the connection I feel with her!

Kerry and I would love to invite you to share what you are proud of ~ if you share on Instagram, make sure to tag us so we can celebrate YOU!

I hope that through this episode, you will feel that you already belong. Feeling disconnected and afraid to show up as yourself is completely understandable, we all feel it from time to time ~ but know that in this safe space and loving community, you are seen, heard and supported.

Caroline shares the most beautiful poetry, insights and energy via her Instagram account @healingforshe. Connecting with her has been such an empowering experience and I am so excited to share that energy with you today!

In this episode, Caroline shares a part of her personal story. We talk about how she reclaims her inner voice through poetry ~ and does so beautifully! We discuss how healing starts from within (and usually with giving love to our inner child). Caroline often goes into nature to connect and release, which I find so inspiring. She states that we are disconnected from Mother Earth because we are disconnected from within ~ and that it home. I hope that through this episode, you will allow yourself to feel your emotions ~ it’s all allowed to be there! It’s simply a part of being the beautiful human being that you are.

This conversation with Farah blew me open like nothing else. Get ready to level up on your spiritual path!

I came across Farah on Instagram a while ago, and since then have been inspired by her energy and content. Recently, after a particular post of hers about her experience in a sweat lodge, I asked Farah if she wanted to come onto the podcast with me to discuss the ‘good girl’ conditioning we all carry within us. I am so happy and honoured to share this episode with you today.

We discuss Farah’s spiritual path and awakening, how she is reclaiming her body through dance (and posting about it online!), her experience in a sweat lodge and the sweet goddess & good girl conditioning. We talk about how she is currently moving through life and how those shifts have changed the way she shows up online. We also chat about her current work of helping women find their inner medicine.
Join us in a raw and honest conversation about spirituality, womanhood and how can decondition ourselves through moving our bodies.

I have a feeling this will be one of those episodes on which I will look back often! I’ve been alluding to my recent life decisions a few times in the past couple of episodes, and here we are :). In this episode, I tell you all about my current journey in life and how the start of my 2020 will look like. I still can’t quite believe all the changes going on in my life and honestly, so much of that is down to the Spiritual Fem(inist) and your sense of connection and community with me. Thank you!

In this episode I talk about my decision to quit my job and how such a big moment in my life actually came about quite peacefully. I have decided to travel starting February next year. I will fly out to Bali first and then see where the wind will take me after. I talk about how I was able to disentangle my intuition from my instinct and how that has empowered me. And at the end, I reveal something quite exciting that will take place in December! I can’t wait to see what the next few months have in store for us all.

Let’s take the Spiritual Feminist podcast on the road, shall we :)

Whilst I was in Gent co-hosting a beautiful event (check the previous podcast episode!), Maxime Vossen carved out some time to chat to me. I feel so so lucky that I get to connect with inspiring women like her. Maxime uses yoga, reiki, tarot, and overall intuitive mentorship to guide and inspire people in their lives. She is a beautiful old soul with such wisdom to share, and I can’t wait to hear what you think of this episode!

We talk all about her evolving career as a spiritual entrepreneur, from teaching yoga in to-be-demolished buildings to using reiki and tarot to guide people 1:1 in their lives. We dive deep into how Tarot works ~ which I’m really happy about. I find tarot very intimidating and simply did not know where to start. Please see all the links below for your personal Tarot First Aid Kit, and get card pulling! (and let us know if this instigated you buying a deck! I know it has done for me ;)).

We also chat about Maxime’s own podcast, which she hosts together with Lana Bauwens. They aptly titled it ‘Witches Wear Sneakers’ and we discuss how the term ‘witch’ is used in current society, and how we should try and reclaim the word and its connotations. I would love to know how the word WITCH makes you feel, and why. Let’s open up the discussion!

We also talk about Maxime’s lifestyle and rituals, how a multi-hyphen career is working for her and we have some laughs in-between our chatter.

Basically, I could’ve talked for hours with Maxime (and well, we kind of did!). I hope you feel as happy and inspired listening to our conversation as I did. I am really thankful to Maxime for not only taking out the time to record with me for the Spiritual Feminist podcast, but also for her to share her wisdom on so many topics. This is an episode I will cherish for a long time - I hope you feel the same!

I had the pleasure of recording an episode with the inspiring lady that is Sophie Jongejan, creator of ‘The Place’, a hub for creative and spiritual moments in and around Gent, Belgium. Sophie and I met on Instagram and when I expressed my coming to her city, she invited me to co-host one of her Talks, themed ‘Embrace your Female Energy’.

We recorded this before we went to the location and it was a beautiful moment for us to reflect on what female energy actually means to us. I also ask Sophie about why and how she started The Place, her relationship with the digital sphere and money and her spiritual practices.

I am so grateful to have met Sophie. She truly is a connector of light workers, providing a platform for spiritual creatives to inspire people, and in turn provide a place (!) for people to find connection and depth.

I am so happy to have Caressa on the podcast today! I found her on Instagram a while back, and since then we have connected over our mutual interest in spirituality, yoga, crystals, creativity, art… basically everything that we cover in this episode :)

We recorded this episode after I spent the day at a One Day Retreat co-facilitated by Caressa, where we did yoga, intuitive painting and made a crystal grid. This inspiring day was the catalyst for our conversation and I really think that the energy from that day radiates from our chats.

I am so grateful I get to call Caressa my friend now. She is a special soul ~ from her spiritual journey to her work now, she inspires me every day to follow my heart (and to give myself the permission slip to make really ugly paintings!!!!!). Hopefully you’ll feel both of those things too, listening to this.

In the episode, we discuss the One Day Retreats - check out their website to see what days they organise in the months coming up. Caressa points to the book Crystals for Healing by Karen Frazier as a good starting point for working with crystals.

I dive deep in this one! I recorded this with tea, candles and a blanket. I suggest you do the same: get cozy and join me for this heart to heart. :)

After my Reiki Level 1 course, I felt really called to catch you up on my (spiritual) journey. The topics of resistance and surrendering kept coming up during the course ~ as well as throughout the past few months for me. How can we navigate resistance, both from within ourselves as from other people around us? How can we protect our energy whilst sitting with the negativity too? Why can it be SO HARD to surrender to these emotions?

In this episode, I take you on this journey with me ~ from (veryyy) personal stories to connecting with the new moon in Libra. I hope through my words and energy, you will find inspiration and medicine. In this time of ‘go go go’, where ‘being busy’ is a signifier for a ‘fulfilled’ life, I think it is so powerful and important to listen more to what we are resisting. Reiki is absolutely perfect for that, since it will go deep into your energetic body. It teaches you that everything in itself is perfect. Everything is allowed to be felt. Everything is allowed to take up space. Through sitting with resistance, we will be able to surrender and expand.

I received a lot of requests about this one! Moon phases ~ what are they, and how can we work with them? I invited Lisanne, Yin Yoga teacher and Woman of the Moon #1, on the podcast to talk about how she incorporates the phases of the moon in her Yin Yoga classes and in her life. Join us in this fun and inspiring conversation about whether we should have (moon) rituals, how we can find our balance between yin and yang in this society ~ and why self love is so damn important!

A lot of you have been asking me to talk more about the moon phases. I believe awareness about the moon and her phases are a great tool to feel more connected to Mother Earth, her cycles and ~ in turn ~ our own cyclical nature. Don’t feel pressured to have a moon ritual every week (or every month), but feel into the flow of the cycles whenever you feel called to. I hope this episode will shine a light on this beautiful concept for you, and that it will help you find whatever ritual, energy and/or flow feels good.

In this episode, Lisanne mentions the book Moonology by Yasmin Boland. It’s a great practical book if you want to dive deeper into the moon phases and astrology!

Wow, wow, wow. This episode is SUCH potent medicine and a beautiful follow-up of the two episodes I have done on Wild Woman. I had the honour to dive deep with Dr. Sarah Coxon.
Through her online Academy, podcast, 1:1 work and Instagram page, Sarah shows women how they can live limitlessly, without the hustle that we are conditioned to think is necessary to reach our goals.

In the episode, we discuss Sarah’s previous work as an archeologist and how she stepped out of that academic field ~ simply because she saw that that world did not serve her anymore. She shares a few stories about women’s lives before the patriarchy, which opened my eyes even more to how society and our position in it are just stories everyone tells each other and chooses (subconsciously) to believe. If there were warrior queens over 3000 years ago, what is holding us back to mirror ourselves to them in this day and age?

Sarah and I also chat about importance of sisterhood and how powerful it can be to come together as women - not only to raise our divine feminine vibration but also to honour our divine masculine side. To truly live limitlessly is to tap into all of that power - to honour all parts of us.

We discuss how living limitlessly really works - and how untangling our fearful relationship with money can help us to shift to a more abundant mindset.

Sarah’s work and view of life continue to inspire me every day and I am so grateful that the universe pointed me towards her. I strongly believe that we were meant to meet and I hope I will get to do that in real life as well in the future!

Part two of the two-part podcast on Women Who Run With The Wolves, written by Clarissa Pinkola Estés, is here!

This book came into my life right around the time I was starting up the Spiritual Fem as a platform and as a podcast. It opened my eyes to why I felt this deep remembering of spiritual empowerment as a woman.

This episode focusses on chapter three through chapter six. I discuss how embracing your Wild Woman, and through the deep work that requires this, you can find your true belonging. It will mean seeking your pack, releasing everything and everyone that is not serving your new-found (but deeply remembered) purpose. It means honouring your duality and expecting others to do the same. It means trusting the natural life/death/life cycles of life in which everything that must be released creates a space for new beginnings.

You are allowed to take up space. You don’t have to feel lonely on this journey. You are seen, you are heard, you are supported. By your inner wild woman, by the generations of women that came before us, and by the community that exists in our current world.
Join me on this journey into the deep, luscious forest, will you?

Today is part one of a two-part podcast about a life-changing book called “Women Who Run With The Wolves”, written by Clarissa Pinkola Estés.

This book came into my life right around the time I was starting up the Spiritual Fem as a platform and as a podcast. It opened my eyes to why I felt this deep remembering of spiritual empowerment as a woman. I am so excited to share my ideas about this book with you today, and with a bonus episode next week!

This episode focusses on the first three chapters of the book. I dive deep into why every woman will feel connected with the concept of “Wild Woman”, and why we all deserve to do the deep work to connect with her again. Our intuition is our greatest gift, and through stories and analyses we can grasp the ideas and feelings of what it will feel like once we tap into that again. Wild Woman is within us all, and she is waiting to be unleashed. Join me on this journey into the deep, luscious forest, will you?

I am so honoured to have Inga Giessmann from In Your Flow on the podcast today! Her life’s story and life’s work have inspired me for quite some time now and I am excited to share that with you today. Inga’s work as a transformational life coach focusses on holistic empowerment through many practices, including yoga and reiki.

In this episode, she opens up about her life’s story and how she got into spirituality. We discuss the practices of yoga, reiki and other energy work to help us heal and create the life we deserve. Above all, throughout this conversation Inga inspired me to become a conscious co-creator of life, and I hope the episode has the same effect on you!

You can find Inga’s business In Your Flow on Facebook, Instagram and her website.

I invited my dear friend Lal Koyuncu on the podcast to talk about her Turkish heritage and how that has defined her outlook on spirituality. I think it is so important to realize that so many cultures carry beautiful traditions from which we can all learn. It’s so inspiring how Lal followed her intuition when she decided to study psychology, and she has some really inspiring thoughts on how she’d like to see the fields of science and spirituality combined. We dive deep into the theories of quantum physics and manifestation, and how we think we are all connected. We are all so much more alike each other than we are programmed to think - and Lal, with her beautiful Turkish heritage and mixed religion upbringing, and who has lived abroad for many years now, is the best person I know to confirm this. I hope you feel loved and connected with us listening to this episode! <3

In this episode, we talk about the documentary HEAL which you can find on Netflix. Lal recommends the book Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by dr. Joe Dispenza. At the end, we pull ‘Mirror’ from the Inner Compass Card deck. Lal also uses Angel Cards to help her feel guided and supported.

In today’s episode of the Spiritual Feminist, I interview conscious sexuality coach Mirjam Irene. I really wanted to bring Mirjam on the podcast to discuss breaking down the taboos we (probably) all feel around our sexuality and our bodies, especially as women! Through her work, Mirjam makes these taboo topics tangible, relatable and discussable. She coaches women through their struggles surrounding sexuality and also organises events to break open the shame, guilt and fear that exists around female sexuality.

In our conversation, we talk about normalising the discussion around sexuality, how chakras can help realigning with your body, the current political debate on women’s bodies and how we can reclaim that conversation ~ and so much more. Even if (or especially when?) the area of sexuality makes you a little uncomfortable, there is so much in this episode that you can hopefully take from it. I am so grateful to Mirjam to introduce me and you to a more spiritual approach to sexuality, and how beautiful that can be! We really only scratched the surface but I feel like this episode is already packed with so much wisdom, love and joy.

~ You can check out all the the beautiful things Mirjam is doing on Facebook and Instagram.

In the episode, Mirjam talks about YouTuber Layla Martin.

In this episode I’m in conversation with my best friend Emma about her burn-out and the subsequent search for her inner compass and her true voice. Unfortunately burn-outs are extremely common, especially amongst millennials, and I am really thankful to Emma who talks so openly about her struggles. Together, we can break the stigma attached to mental health issues! In our conversation we talk about books that have helped her gain awareness, we talk about the healing power of creativity and we pull some (scarily accurate!) Inner Compass cards.

In this episode, Emma mentions Coming To Our Senses as the book that helped her gain awareness. She also shares a quote of the Dutch book Jong Burnout by Nienke Thurlings. We pull cards from the Inner Compass deck. ~
You can find Emma’s amazingly creative instagram here (not biased at all!).

In this first interview set-up episode I chat with my dear friend and roommate Elizabeth about our feminist perspectives, how dating has changed for us over the years, how spirituality is playing a role in our lives and how womanhood holds all of that together! Grab a cup of tea and join us in this conversation all about what the Spiritual Feminist stands for: reconnecting to your truth whilst staying present in everything that is happening around you. In this episode we mention this podcast episode by Ella Grace Denton, in which she interviews Africa Brooke. Elizabeth quotes from “We Should All Be Feminists” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and is currently reading “The End of Men and the Rise of Women” by Hanna Rosin. We also talk about @bodyposipanda and @scarrednotscared and give insight in the 5 Love Languages. ~ You can find Elizabeth on Instagram here. ~ Don't forget to subscribe! And….. lift off! Ah! Welcome to the very first episode of the Spiritual Feminist podcast. I am so excited to be hosting this show and to take you on this journey. We will be diving deep into spirituality, feminism, womanhood, mental health, creativity and much more.

In this first episode, I talk about my reasons for starting this podcast as well as about my own journey in life so far. I explore questions such as: How can we, as women in the twenty-first century, use spirituality and feminism to handle life in a more conscious way?- and - How can we empower not just ourselves but other women? This is exactly what the Spiritual Feminist is all about: an inclusive and safe space for women who'd like to dive deeper into feminism, spirituality and womanhood ~ but simply don't know where to begin.
