Concerning the discussion of odds for that bet Al was indeed correct... it is innaccurate to add the odds of an event occurring together for multiple tries since you can end up with more than 100% for something which is not certain... the method must therefore be to multiply together the odds of missing each time and this gives you an accurate chance to miss.
