In this first episode of the 'In Their words' podcast, UK youth ambassadors for the ONE campaign, Tara and Bethel speak to Youth activist Chidumebi. Chidumebi recently founded the non-profit, 'Team optimist' in her home country of Nigeria. Team optimist aims to tackle the spread of Malaria through education and support mechanisms in camps. In this podcast Chidumebi shares the story of Malaria in her own words.
Just a little insight into the issues of ocean plastics. I met with the founders of the brands ‘ Liar the label’ and ‘A beautiful weirdo’. I also met with the people behind the Adidas clothing range made out of recycled bottles washed up from oceans. It also includes an interview with marine biologist Marta Gomez. The aim of the podcast is to provide people with more relatable changes they can make to help with the ‘plastic problem’.
