Lab Cleaning Jams presents LCJ021 — a new single from Carlosscres, with a remix from Ivaylo.Venezuelan-raised and now based in Houston, Carlosscres has spent years refining his sound through the underground circuit, shaping a deep and warm production style rooted in groove and atmosphere. His original track delivers that essence — playful female vocals, smooth deep bass, and carefully placed percussive details blending into a clean, soulful deep house flow.Ivaylo and Carlosscres have known each other for more than a decade, sharing a mutual respect for each other’s craft. After working together on a similar single + remix concept in the past, Ivaylo invited Carlosscres to join the Lab Cleaning Jams family for this release — a natural continuation of their long-standing connection through sound. On the remix, Ivaylo adds his signature percussive drive, keeping the deep house pulse alive while smoothly transforming the track into a hypnotic acid journey.Another Lab Cleaning Jams release made for both listeners and dancefloors — connecting warmth, rhythm, and a sense of space that continues to define the label’s sound direction.Vinyl order here: https://elasticstage.com/lcj/releases/slice-dice-singleep

'Mischa Mathys has a new album. Some might say, it's my first album.Like every other work, there's some kind of theme or expansive musical concept at the heart of this album. I only fell upon it as I was finishing it up, but there's some kind of underlying response to the overwhelming rigid structure of machine music. That's why 'mistakes' and human expressions, which can't be quite quantised, prevail in this stark electronic aesthetic.Featuring guest appearances from previous collaborator Adam Unbeat and Tleilaxu bandmate rubinthecubin, the LP is a collection of tracks made over the course of a year. There's more lyrical content than I've ever made before in large thanks to rubinthecubin, but my machines still do most of the talking for me. They can't be trusted with the subjective spirit of the music however, and always required interference from my part. There's always a question of authenticity when I process a voice through a synthesiser or let a sequence run rampant through randomised control voltages, but I don't wish to answer that here. It's perhaps less concrete in its concept as something like the piece I did with Darkroom contemporary, or the Tleilaxu project; perhaps that's why I couldn't name it in the end. It follows on from the last EP I did for Ivaylo's Lab Cleaning Jams and possibly took some cues from the feedback I got there, but it's just an extended snapshot of the music I've been making and listening to recently. It will certainly change with some different and new equipment, and those early instrumental Hip Hop records I've been playing on repeat at home will get a rest after this.I don't know if there's any point to the recorded format anymore but there was a concerted effort on my part to make this a concise album, and I hope, but don't demand that you enjoy it as much as I did while making it. BOG019B Jarle Bråthen - Clean Not Mean (Ivaylo Deep Not Mean Remix)

Bogota Records 2020
Label: Full Pupp Cat. Nr: FP067 Artist: Ivaylo Title: Rumba Bulgara
Prins Thomas' Full Pupp label is back with more gold from Jaeger Oslo affiliate Ivaylo, who serves up four fantastically stripped back but effective house cuts, a flavour we have seen from the prolific producer in recent times.
'Rumba Bulgara' opens things with rumbling drums and freaky vocals that get you into a state of hypnosis. 'Delicate Tom' is built on more ragged synths and loose, tumbling drum hits that are prickly and textured. It is a characterful house tune that gets you in a trance. 'Elaya' then picks up the pace with swapped bass and edgy synths that get you on your toes. The rubbery drums are to die for and the groove is irresistible. 'Percusial Acidant' is then a brilliantly off kilter tune with claps, hits, bass and synths bringing a drunken feeling groove that is utterly fresh.
This is a standout EP from Ivaylo once more

Ivaylo is next up on his Bogota Records imprint with a pair of fresh new cuts that come complete with a remix from Hugo LX. Bulgarian native Ivaylo is based in Oslo, and has vast experience of the dance music industry, having continuously proving himself as an essential DJ and producer, most recently his release on Cassy's Kwench Records 'Ae Way'.
He delivers again here with Hausa, a deep roaming tune with a bassline that immediately lifts your energy. It makes for a back room track that is super tasteful and filled with warped synths and deft percussion that gets under your skin. Hugo LX serves up a tripe remix with tiny little sonic details, a spooky sense of late night mischief and neon melodies that really standout.
Last of all, House Moult is a busier, more bristling cut with jostling drums and underlapping bass, an inventive sense of musical warmth and plenty of fresh ideas that are finished with an anthemic vocal that will get the crowd on their toes.
This is another standout EP from all concerned, and another great chapter of Bogota Records.

Touted as a discerning force within club culture, Ivaylo has a veteran ranking that’s owed to a 20-year-long career which began in his hometown Varna in the ‘90s, booking influential US artists to play at Bulgaria’s first home club, Comics. Residing in Oslo since the late ‘90s, he’s now commonly known as the chief of Bogota Records and as a resident DJ of the Nordic city’s esteemed clubbing haunt, Jæger Club.
“Ivaylo has good energy, he’s incredibly talented and we connect because he’s also been wrapped up in music for a long time, he’s always exploring ways in which he can grow as a producer and he’s in it for the rightreasons. I’ve played at Jaeger Club a handful of times, spending time with him and have seen how his presence can lift a room and this feeds directly into the music he creates. I love these three tracks. We picked them out for the label a couple of months ago, and I’m looking forward to finally getting them out there.” – Cassy
Deriving influence from Jæger Club, an institution he’s been behind since its formative years, guiding the club-motivated EP is ‘Smooth Layla’, a woozy, dubby gyration driven to tether clubbers to the dancefloor. ‘The HousyWay’ pushes on with an infective groove that boots the record up a gear, while ‘Dyp Peder’ cuts in like a temptress with intent to keep you moving well into the early hours.

Bogota Records rings in 2019 and brings long time friend and collaborator, Oslo based producer REMII, back into the roster, Remii delivers an outstanding release with his two tracks “Cruisin” and “Late Night”. ”Cruisin” rides an 80’s wave of nostalgia with warm synths and naïve chords plotting the course ahead, while “Late Night” slowly tells you a story on its own, going back to the future. On the flip side, Bogota boss Ivaylo is on the prowl for House with his interpretation of the original. A warm bass line, dreamy keys and groovy percussion, take the track into a parallel dimension with his “searching for House” remix.
Warm Rhodes chords and funky bass lines inform the sound of "Trendy Jose", taking the listener on a groovy ride with Ivaylo's vocal directing the sound: "Jose is Mexican and he likes it, trendy!" The second track "Jacks Confusion" places you directly into Berlin's vibrant sound. Ivaylo hypnotises with the perfect combination of percussion and bass line on the steady 4/4 chi house beat.
Spicing up the House groove on the flip is a remix from Dallas native, JT Donaldson. Donaldson brings the heat, with his funky deep remix on "Trendy Jose", whose percussive interpretation opens up the track for any dance floor.
America EP is Ivaylo 4th release for Bogota Records since label's existence and it's the beginning the producer's self-styled "new sound" with more focus on percussive elements within the warm, deep sound that he's known for.
