At 15 De Hornets strong desire to become a DJ was sparked after friends Linden C & Rob Atkinson took him along to a watch a set they were playing at Bentley's (Canning town), Growing up in the East End Hornet was influenced by the musical trends around him... (acid hardcore!!) & thanks to his best mate Phil (who owned the only set of sl 1210s in the area) Hornet discovered he had natural talent for djing & within 6 months he played a regular set at Dungeons (The Greyhound Pub)

Hornets career in music took off accidentally back in 1987 when at the age of 16 he was sent by his school to the careers office to sort his life out!! in his unenthusiastic attitude to anything other than music Hornet took the worst job offered which was delivering leaflets.... This actually led to his lucky break!!!!

The company was karma productions & the leaflets were actually flyer's, this job not only gained him entry into some of the most elite places but into the company of some of the great DJs of the day, 6 months into working for karma productions co worker & DJ Lin Cosgrove discovered Hornets skills & suggested to management that he took over her set when she left to tour Hong Kong with Ministry, This he did...

Hornet started playing warm up at Fun City, Buzzbys & was quickly asked play various other sets & frequently called on when headliners didn't show, where he not only held his own but totally smashed it!!!... as his profile grew he played along side DJ greats like Tommy Musto, Colin Dale, Grooverider, Fabio, Mr C, Colin Flavor & Linden C with PAs from Colaboy, Shades of Rhythm & Real2Real. Karma started using Hornet at it's main night (the biggest UK party back in the day) "Energy" where he played along side DJ legends Carl Cox, Stuart Banks, Sasha, Mickey Finn, Jumping Jack Frost, with live PAs from Altern8, Bizarre inc & Prodigy. At only 17 (1988)Hornet had aspired from warm up set to playing in front 1500 + clubbers!..

Now 25 years on and with his own much loved and very successfull promotion God Made Me Funky UK planted firmly on the map, De Hornet celebrates his 25th year in the industry with a fantastic mix....

Join in the celebrations on the 23rd April 2011 for one hell of a boat party with the return of All HANDS ON DECKS when Groove Assassin joins De Hornet, Bob Povey, DJ Joolz, Crookid, Natureboy and joining us at the after party for their 12th Birthday is Deep Blue with DJ's Gary Ellis, Wayne Bailey, Mark Johnson,Bronson and Tarquin.

Introducing VINCEMO!!

Vincent Themba Khoza, better known as VINCEMO (and DJ VINCEMO as his fellow musicians and fans call him sometimes) is a skillful house music producer/dj and the musical genius behind the forthcoming HOUSE EMPIRE record. The year 2006 marked the beginning of Vincemo's career as a house music producer and dj, at the time, He made music just for pure recreational purposes with no real intention to professionally embark on a career as a house music producer and dj, but the more He produced songs the more people wanted to hear more and more is what He gave them. Hence the name VINCEMO!

Dj Vincemo's style of production epitomizes the current house music sound: from vocal house, progressive house, deep house, electro house, commercial and all the way to funky house. The forthcoming House Empire album was composed, mixed and produced by Vincemo with the sole objective of putting together a fresh, universally balanced, house music mix that offers something for every type of house music listener. The songs contained in the record cut across all markets and segments bringing to life a genre of music called "Global House" - the kind of sound that appeals to a global audience.

In 2008 Vincemo made a debut to Y-fm (Jo’Burg Youth Radio Station) and Inkwekezi fm with a smashed hit “Funky Dj”which was the most played song. In 2010 he released a single called Freedom Featuring Luyanda which made to made to 2nd for two weeks and finally acquired the 1st spot on countdown on YFM Oskido’s HOT 9@9. Freedom was one of the best sellers on afrodesiamp3 (online music shop) which acquired top 50 spot in two weeks.
