Next mix comes from a lovely Brooklyn-based duo running a podcast series called Delayed. Collective known for left-field techno, ambient and experimental electronic music, with their own label Never Late. They've been on my radar for quite some time, and this mix is the cherry on top of everything they've made so far.Such a pleasure to work with such a talented pair! @vickisiolos is a dear friend of the series and someone whose taste and musical knowledge we deeply respect. Her long-running monthly ambient show Bright Patterns on The Lot Radio has become a trusted space for thoughtful, immersive listening, and her work as an ambient DJ is held in the highest regard. This mix feels like a perfect reflection of what has always made her DJing so special.
When we got invited by F-on to do our first collaboration party, I never imagined it would sell out in 30 minutes! This party was confirmation that there’s a real need for this kind of sound. On the night we were talking with DB1 about how this was one of the best mix we’ve heard from Felix. Big respect for that! Live set recorded last year for our podcast. It took some time to get this out but we're so happy to finally channel this in your ears. This one was born from months spent in the Japanese countryside, bamboo, tea, a river, and a community that quietly shifted something. More lo-tech, more minimal, closer to the ground. Some artists have a depth that’s hard to explain. Over a decade ago, I discovered Deep’a & Biri on Juno, drawn by our shared taste in records. I followed their journey, and five years later, invited them to my radio series. They sent a stunning ambient mix I still cherish to this day.Recently, I learned that Biri is now based in London. I reached out to invite him to our third party. Though he doesn’t play often these days, he loved our concept and decided to make an exception. Paired with Vincent Rang’s mesmerising liquid visuals, they created something unforgettable, a moment you had to experience to fully appreciate.Now you can listen to this deep journey, though sadly without the glowing cosmos in Vince’s water tank. This is a recording of a live set from Naturalist. Sounds primarily from his travels, so they are pretty wild sources from relatively undisturbed habitats. The first and last track was recorded recently with @slonomusic and artists from @AediRecords.
From Naturalist: "Imagine yourself being in a deep jungle without electricity surrounded by wild animals, shamans and then you go for your first-night dive where you see a sleeping turtle. Hopefully, you will find peace in it."

The September sessions are very special, as I finally hosted my first female guest - @Sonae from Cologne. She’s been DJing for many years, before turning to production 7 years ago. Her latest album “I started wearing back” was recently released on @MonikaEnterprise.
The mix she created for the podcast is for seasoned listeners: full of unexpected noises and interesting musical turns. Immerse yourself in the dark layers of her industrial techno.
This edition is also special for another reason. I teamed up with my girlfriend Monika to go beyond the idea of a music session. We invited Sonae to our house for an interview and dinner. Hi 12 is welcoming Amsterdam based DJ and producer @Kevin-Arnemann released records on his own label @TapedArtifact, @FoneAudio, @GlassTalkRecords and the new record on @MatthewOh Outlaw Label. Kevin developed a distinct musical identity that takes its cues from many different sounds and scenes. Always dynamic, intelligent and driven by a passion for dub techno, in particular, influenced by the likes of @BasicChannelOfficial, Chain Reaction, and @Thule-Records.

In July I had the pleasure to host a special guest from Detroit, a DJ, and producer of fresh dub techno music - Luke Hess. He prepared summery techno vibes for us.

In June I had a pleasure to host Refracted. Berlin-based musician makes futuristic techno and ambient sounds. He released an album on @Silent-Season in 2015 inspired by a Jungle. He also did some releases on @Semantica-Records, @Slow-Life, and his own label @Mind-Express. New release on @Sublunar-Records is a great example of how good his music is. A busy man doing bookings for @paral-lel-festival and regularly playing in @TresorBerlin.

@Kenneth-Christiansen, family man, friend and label boss of 4 great labels - @Echocord, Echocord Colour, @Pattern-Repeat (with @Resoe-baum-records) new addition to the family - Echo Echo. He treated us with an hour’s of dusted sounds and some techno dubs. He has been djing all over Europe for the last 2 decades. At the moment he is concentrating on his DJ career and on his labels.
