Sapiens Music

Showing very early his endless love for music and growing as a talented child with an absolute pitch ear, he started to play piano at age of 5 and received his early musical education and performance skills in classical piano.

A serious melomane, a freak of vinyl shops, he spent most of his teenage period digging, collecting and recording music from any available source. A boy with headphones in his ears, he started to make his first 90 min mixes for friends' parties on tape cassettes, using simple methods of home tape recordings.

Always being a real fanatic of intelligent, underground genres like psychedelic and progressive rock, funky & acid jazz, early dark new wave and ethnic fusion, he found out for himself electronic music in early 90-s, listening to Jean Michele Jarre, The Orb and Kraftwerk and later on to R.Miles, St. Germain and Kruder & Dorfmeister.

An everlasting fan and a geek follower of contemporary, electronic underground genres, he constantly digs the innovative, intelligent and eclectic sound for his sets and production projects. Studied electronic production and sound synthesis in BPM school in Tel-Aviv. and took private master classes from the best electronic producers in Israel.

He has been playing in clubs, dance bars and outdoor events all over Israel since 2004 and has become publicly known for his unique musical taste, intelligent and deeply pumping sets, harmonic mixing techniques, combining various genres into one long dancing composition.

Under his scene name Sapiens, he has produced deep progressive and melodic tech house music since 2006 and has established since then several electronic dance lines: Miniprog Sessions, Urban Deepsters and DeepSpeeD

Has a Deep side project Sharp Ear, and he is a resident DJ at various famous worldwide radio shows such as Groundworx sesseion on Siren 107.3 FM (UK), Golden Wings (Argentina), Triplefire music (South Africa/UK) and Proton Radio (CA, USA)

A resident of several outdoor production crews (Amnesia, Phase, etc.)

Releases his tracks on Pangea Recordings, ICONYC, Stellar Fountain, Baroque, Particles to name a few.

Everything that attracts Sapiens' Sharp ear, be it classic music, singing birds or urban noises on his roof has its own influence on his compositions.

Lives in Tel-Aviv and works in his own studio.
