At Connect Up, we offer ideas and resources to fuel the positive change you are leading within your life, team, and organization.
In this episode we discuss how the attitude you walk in with on Monday, impacts the results you walk out with on Friday. A shift in attitude can lead to success (jump back to episode 003: Defining Success to create your definition of success) and happiness in your work. This can sometimes seem easier said than done, so we walk through five simple and practical ways to apply this at work tomorrow.
Let us know which one you plan to implement! Send us a note (connectupwithus@gmail.com), comment below, or find us on social media.
You know those people who just seem to lift the room when they walk in? You feel better after leaving a conversation with them before you ran into them? What do they do differently to have this impact?
In this episode, we deep dive the impact of small acts in our relationships in life, family, and in our workplace. How did Jesus impact others through small, daily actions? What can we do to live this out to others? Apply our five tips in your life this week and have a positive impact on those around you.

What's your line in the sand? When do you say something? When do you let it go?
From the outside, it can be easy to look at an embezzlement investigation, hazardous waste dump, or some other major corporate scandal and say, “I’d never do that!”. However, the smaller decisions can be more difficult.
To help protect against this ethical erosion, we discuss the stories of Philip and Paul in ancient Rome. Both of these men drew a line in the sand at different points, and each lost their life because of this decision.
QUESTION: What’s your gate? What is a line in the sand you have drawn? How did you determine what that would be?
What do a donkey, dog, and lead sheep have in common? How can we apply ancient shepherd leadership to our modern context? In this episode, we dive deeper in understanding this ancient framework and learn to integrate these concepts into our daily lives.

Could I really be a leader? How do I know what talents I bring to the table? Does cultural fit even matter?
Those are big questions, but often times we can gain traction on these topics by learning from someone a little further down the road. This month we sit down with a good friend, mentor, and church leader to learn from his first ten years in ministry.

"Focus on your hustle 24/7."
"Keep on the grind."
"Take pride in your busyness."
There are so many voices in our culture pushing us to never stop. We worship our busyness, fill our calendars, and crave the opportunity to share how many "important" things we have going on at one time. We might as well define success by our expert level ability to multitask.
In this episode, we talk through the dangers of living the 24/7 hustle and offer practical solutions to begin to develop a regular rhythm of rest.

This week we recap our trip to Philadelphia for the Minnesota Vikings vs. Philadelphia Eagles NFC Championship game. What was touted as a "hostile" environment for opposing fans proved to be quite true.
Rather than focusing on the obvious signs of disrespect, we take a look at how we disrespect others without realizing it. It's our prayer that by reflecting on these ideas and implementing them in our lives, we will more accurately reflect our creator as image bearers.
