Inner Peace and happiness is an intrinsic part of feeling well, of good relationships, financial abundance, and clarity. How do you find this happiness - or do you not even need to, because it will find you. Happiness and Inner Peace have become the new go-to for many people, in order to get the other good things in life. Happiness can't be faked and must be felt, but hey! it can be elusive! Discovering happiness is what this podcast is about, directly and more easily realising your own happiness. In the old, action-oriented manner, people believed you need to do certain things to then achieve happiness, like buy a new car (or just generally be wealthy) have a great relationship or create a perfect home. But these things are definitely unable to create the end result, happiness. Instead of anger, and chasing, and disquiet, know that your happiness is always present, always ready to be discovered. You ARE your happiness, it is impossible for it to be taken from you, and it can't be that its withheld and given to you only when you reach certain goals. That is the lie.Your happiness is right there, always. Discovering it helps you become more aware of it, feeling it, and letting it be a supportive presence in your life.

Welcome to the Discover Your Happiness Podcast with Rochel Geller.

The goal of this podcast is to help you get in touch with the core of happiness, stillness and peace, that always resides within you, and which is a source of gentle wisdom and clarity, to help you in your day-to-day life.

Why 'being tranquil' is so important, in order, to have the good feelings you want to have:
It's like your vault in the back, a place you can visit, and feel enriched by it. You discover who you truly are, and feel happier and more easy.

I talk about how when you're tranquil, you can have more ease with the other people in your life, whereas when you feel stressed, you may notice the differences between you and the other person, you feel  more in competition with them.

I encourage you to stop, and allow Tranquil Feelings to reach you.

I give hints how to help people to do this 'stopping', and help you 'feel nice' inside.

What do you do, to calm your system down, and allow it to reset itself?

This episode, "Allow Deep Breathing" is an audio recording that I made after I had a lung-related illness. For a few months after that, I didn't feel well, and one of the ways in which I did not feel good seemed to be that I found myself mostly taking shallow breaths. This was paralleled with muscle tension, particularly in my shoulders, as well as - feeling annoyed quite often!

Going with the belief that all these three were connected, I looked for a way to breathe deeper and encourage more oxygen - more oxygen in each breath, more oxygen to be fully absorbed by my lungs, and more oxygen transported around my body. I'd read that many people unconsciously take shallow breaths, using the muscles of their shoulders and ribs, and ignoring their diaphragm muscles, which are really important muscles. The use of deeper, diaphragmatic breathing also encourages oxygen exchange, of the alveoli near the base of the lungs functioning well, and thus the blood being able to draw more oxygen from the lungs, to spread round the body. According to what I read, for many people, only the top part of the lungs are being helpfully used in this way.

So my goal was to increase my ability to breathe deeper and send more oxygen around my body. But although I had tried deep breathing, and slow breathing, and counted breathing, I would forget about these after a while. I also didn't like the idea of controlling my breathing. I feel that breathing is a gift for us, and so how would my conscious mind, know better than my inner system, how to breathe?

When studying the Alexander Technique, they say, that if you just bring more attention to the out-breath, you will start breathing deeper on your own, the next inbreath will naturally be deeper. This episode is based loosely upon this principle, of bringing awareness to all the places in our body that could be reached by plenty of oxygen, but for some reason, they are perhaps not receiving enough. Is this because we have somehow, mentally blocked this flow? Is this a form of self-punishment, or perhaps self-preservation, reserving oxygen only for the vital parts of us? Is it habits we have sunk into in our modern lifestyle? Is there a way to exercise the part of us that habituates deeper breathing?

I do not know what causes shallow breathing, but I also had the thought that inadequate oxygenation of our brain and body can cause stressful thoughts and stressful relationships. It made sense to me that my annoying thoughts and feelings, might not be so much connected to what was actually happening to me in my life, to my stubbed toe, or the people around me, but were somehow mostly internally generated.

I also know that the brain needs oxygen to function well, and to see things clearly. Mental health even can be impacted directly by a dearth of oxygen. So I wondered, how can true wisdom and clarity of thought develop within us, when parts of us do not have the building blocks of health within us (oxygen)? So it seemed imperative to me to find ways to relax tense muscles and encourage oxygen flow. So that I could see life as it really was, and not through the blur of inadequate oxygen, or tense muscles of my shoulders, and tight nerves.

I created this audio to help people bring attention to the parts of their body that may not be receiving enough oxygen, and thereby, the natural state of healthy oxygenation would have more of a chance of reasserting itself. In this way, just noticing, helps the conscious mind, and the Inner Health System, work together, for optimal health all round. Including mental calm.

The goal of this podcast is to help you get in touch with the core of happiness, stillness and peace, that always resides within you, and which is a source of gentle wisdom and clarity, to help you in your day-to-day life.

In this episode. People think they need things to become happy. For example, people believe they need a new car, or a new house, or things to go their way, in order to be happy.

However, it is the other way round. Somehow, happiness brings the gifts! Just "feeling happy" is rejuvenating to the soul, and even to the body. On the flip side "seeking happiness" somehow blocks a person, both from happiness (duh) and from the blessings that happiness brings with it.

To really understand this concept, here is a metaphor - trees.

Trees just burst forth with joy and blossoms, and they don't look to get anything in exchange. They don't insist that they are given this or that, before being happy, they simply live joyfully.
This is a great model for people to just relax, and be happy.

Welcome to the Discover Your Happiness Podcast with Rochel Geller. The goal of this podcast is to help you get in touch with the core of happiness, stillness and peace, that always resides within you, and which is a source of gentle wisdom and clarity, to help you in your day-to-day life.

This is the first episode - the introduction! It's about the joy I've found in difficult moments, and the honesty about difficult moments if life, that I, and other people really do experience.

Sometimes, when we feel like we are in a bad situation, as caring people, and not just wrapped up in our own pain, we might try to be more patient, and add more understanding. Other times we may try to solve problems. Some spiritual people visualise a new reality, hold an intention for better times. . All these are good things, but what if, they are just not enough, and the bad situations keep happening?

The real solution is accessing a deep feeling of calm happiness that permeates every layer of our being.
Sometimes we need someone else who is calm to help lead us there.
*This calm leads the way to easier emotions, and even the situation outside changes as well.

I listened a lot to people who were committed to accessing their happiness.
When I spoke with clients in a client, they felt better, just from me listening to them, and them listening to me.
The problems we see seem very real, what we hear, helps us believe that our perceived problems are indeed very true. But when we distract from this 'experience', we hear a calmer voice from within us, that is not affected by the 'experience', but which shares wisdom from an inner core.

The happiness can be uncovered when we have accidentally blocked it. We can 'block' our happiness by believing the experiences we are going through are absolutely true, the way we see it.*

I share a personal parenting story, in which I had a battle of wills with my son, and I really just didn't know what to do next. How, surprisingly, when I listened to an '3 principle'-based, accepting, gentle business podcast, my emotions relaxed, and then everything rapidly changed for both of us.

A nice feeling inside me, brought ease for both of us.

How you too, whatever your worries or stresses, can discover your happiness, a wellspring of wisdom and ideas. You can't take steps to get there, but listening has that power.

Welcome to Discover Your Happiness podcast, I hope this will be a gift for you. I hope you will have a good feeling, and many solutions in the real world too.
