In 2020 we face something like never before in the history of mankind.

It's why kids strip on Instagram for a few likes.

It's why cereal companies talk about everything but cereal in their commercials.

It's why sports stars think they have to get political.

It's why kids turn on their parents in order to keep their "Youtube fame".

Wanna know why?

One word.

The world is to...

NOISY.

You have probably 20 people in your family in some sort of MLM scheme.

Everyone you know is an "expert" in marketing.

Why is this happening?

Mamas keep having babies because daddy won't leave her alone:)

The internet has really blown things up and makes all this so easy.

Too easy...

All you need is a computer and internet.

And whammo!

You're in business.

The same sword that protects us can cut us.

So competition has rised explosively.

You see the tide as an entrepreneur and truly want to help people.

But you can seem to be heard due to the noise all around.

How do we fix that?

Step into another room where the noise disappears.

How do we do that?

Luke Guy Show: The Top Five Ways Of Creating Content

So years ago there was an app called Vine.

Bought out by Twitter the app then would explode into massive growth.

In the process it made many people famous like crazy.

Then the unthinkable happens.

Twitter shuts it down.

It grew so fast that now they had this huge server bill and it wasn't profitable for them.

So they shut it down.

Years later it would come back from the dead known as TIK TOK.

It's a similar app made by a different company and it's gotten huge.

It's where you upload short video clips and try to catch people's eyes.

And currently they have more demand than supply and it's making many famous.

Demographics are teenagers and 20 year olds.

Most get attention by dancing or do something in 5 seconds that catches the eye.

Major influencers are on it.

They're screaming about the growth there and how amazing it is.

And it's tempting to do one more thing for me.

But today I'm explaining why I'm not doing it.

Being lasered focus is huge in business.

I'd rather be great at writing emails than okayish on Tik Tok.

And if I can't be active on a platform everyday I don't want to do it.

And if you look at major players who are highly successful they don't go after every platform.

So here's the lesson to learn here:

  1. Be more helpful than noisy

  2. Be repetitious and come back everyday

  3. Let results be what drives you

  4. Improve what you do daily

To me those four things will get you further down the road and TikTok at the moment doesn't do that for me.

I have a certain niche I'm trying to appeal to.

I will however say this...

I am looking to invest in a new platform and instead of TikTok I'm looking to plunge into LinkedIn.

I'll have to share my results soon on that!

You've heard some recent nightmare stories I've told recently.

Where a potential client was leaning into our sales presentation with my crew.

Good things were coming and she was getting stoked.

I could feel her going for the Master Card almost.

We was talking about a $15k deal.

She was like 98% in.

When suddenly she say's, "Everything sounds great. Let me type you in Google real quick."

Once she did that she completely ghost us.

My follow up team drills her to find out what happened...

She couldn't find us and felt like we weren't who we said we were.

That day taught me a lesson.

Even though she had type in the wrong thing I made it a decision to flood the internet with my brand.

I've been so focused on building better products that I haven't put the effort in.

Now that I have built those out, and felt like I can change the world, I have decided to go all out on the branding.

You hear me talk about it a lot lately.

And today I want to talk about how you can own Google images when it comes to your brand and why you should.

I not only think you should own Google images when you're typed in but also all other places.

Bing, Yahoo, Google, Youtube, and other major search engines are important.

If you can't own your own name how can you help others with there challenges?

It doesn't look good and will kill sales if you don't own your own turf.

To be frank, it's been so fun as I gain ground on my own name.

It's something to be proud of.

So what am I doing to achieve this?

Between me and my assistant we are creating content on scale.

We're running the Luke Guy Show.

We're content spinning on many platforms.

We're measuring what's hitting the search platforms the fastest and going deep with those.

And this is what we discovered...

Medium, the blogging platform, ranks fast for us.

Youtube will help you put in dent in branding yourself in the search engines.

When you type "Luke Guy" I pop up everywhere.

Having a site with your name like Lukeguy.com is important.

When you release content there it helps connect everything together.

People think I name stuff after me because I'm full of it.

And that's simply isn't true.

I'm trying to own my own brand name.

As you know my real name is Luke Martin.

But Luke Guy was always my business name.

So for the last 7 years I've owned it and have been using it.

I think it would look amazing on a book.

And that's another thing.

I find those who have a book propel out there with branding faster.

Not sure why.

But major platforms like Google recognize people with a book more than those that don't.

So be looking out for that possibly from me!

The strategy all starts from my email though.

The fastest way for me to create content is to start with creating an email and produce content from that.

I'll create video, podcast, blogs, all from that email.

It will be different angles from that email so that way each piece is unique.

I'm building an audience at the same time which is great!

But my focus is to bring value while owning my name and helps me to push forward when numbers isn't what I want.

So recently the president took out an Iranian general and now things are getting heated between the USA and Iran.

Iran is like a stirred up like yellow jacket nest and President Donald Trump has access to the big red button.

That's not a good mix.

My point today is not to get political but to help businesses prepare.

Should businesses be afraid of this possible war?

And in a few moments I want to share why that's not a helpful question.

And how it could cripple your success...

It's just simply a fear.

Because let me ask you this...

What would you do different?

Would you dig a hole in the ground and build an underground house?

Would you switch out your 401k for nothing but gold?

What would you do different?

There should be zero reason why you do something different.

Because if you do something different that means what you did in the past wasn't adding much to anything.

For example:

People like Bill Gates.

Do you think he'll be doing anything different because of the war?

Nope.

He'll keep building.

He'll keep planning.

He'll keep investing.

His task stay the same.

And because of that, he's the last one to go down financially.

His focus is lasered in.

This isn't the first time war was threaten by another country.

And it won't be the last.

His success is proportioned to the value he puts out.

Same with us.

We should keep building and keep our focus going strong.

Unless you can stop the war yourself, you shouldn't even spend your time worrying about it.

We can pray for peace and that's about all we can do on that subject.

So my point?

Focus on being 1# on your niche.

And take it down!

Own it.

Seems to hard?

Niche down again.

Still too hard?

Niche down again.

Keep niching down until you own that market.

Then once you conquer that, come up a level.

And take that down also.

If you're not ranking for your own name in Google...

The simplest task in business...

In which you have zero competition...

How can you rank 1# in a niche with competitors after the same profit and customers.

Think about that.

Own your name and then own your niche.

How do you own a niche?

Talk to that niche.

Know everything about that niche.

Help that niche with it's problems.

And keep building solutions for that niche.

Maybe you have no idea how to even start on this...

Then you need a boost.

Come on over and we'll help you get started:

So as we know today if you're not online you're dead to the world.

It's just how it is today.

And most know this.

What most don't know though is that their personal name is just as important as their company name.

Definitely if you want to sell high ticket products.

I'll give you an example.

You could have someone on the phone and they're ready to invest in your company.

Let's say it's $10,000.

And it's almost time for the credit card and they're ready to go when suddenly....

They slip the words, "Oh hang on a minute. Let me type you in Google real quick."

And the nightmare begins...

They can't find you.

You told them your name and how great you are.

But when they type you in.

They can't find you!

They freak out and run.

$10,000 lost:(

I hear this so much on the phones.

They want to GOOGLE ME.

They want to verify me to see if I am a real person.

And that's why I push them to type me in Google to get that objection out the way.

I'm creating videos, blog, podcast and etc. for that main reason.

The more I push out there the more verification I have.

It's why I call my podcast "The Luke Guy Show".

I want to show up for name.

Because if I don't I lose 6 figures or more this year.

All because I wasn't there.

You could have the greatest presentation.

You could be dialed in on your niche.

You could have the best price.

But for some people if you're not there when they search...

You're dead to them.

You're not real.

So I highly suggest you own your name.

Because here's the sad part...

I'm seeing some new influencers do well online with direct response advertising.

But when you type in their name you can't hardly find them.

Or someone else pops up for their name!

That means they're relying heavily on ad cost or they're credibility is on the tail coat of someone else.

Both methods are okay for temporarily.

But it's NOT good for long term. And we all want to play the long game.

Investing time in your name online is important and I work hard to own that.

Because if you don't, someone with the same name will steal it.

And I have seen it many times.

Don't let it be you.

Imagine your home with running water.

It flows through a pipe into your home (just like most do in the 21 century).

Now imagine the other side of that pipe connected to your local swamp.

Now imagine your kids drinking that water by the gallons.

How long before everyone is in the hospital?

Ok, now imagine the same with your business except the water is now leads.

Imagine taking bad leads that waster your time.

For every 10 leads you get one good one that is qualified.

The other 9 will waste your time, cry about buying anything, and no one knows why they're here.

Ever been there?

The solution?

Filter the leads before they come in.

Just like water our leads need a filter.

There are many ways to do this.

But my favorite ways is using a High Ticket VSL Funnel.

It's an application, funnel, sales video, and pixie dust all combined.

Ok, so I added pixie dust (not required).

If you combined these you'll not only be able to create something amazing, you'll be able to close bigger, faster and more easily.

Here's how it works:

First have a funnel.

Embed a VSL video at the top that converts the traffic.

Have them go through an application and when complete have them schedule themselves.

The secret to getting them to do this is knowing their language.

Knowing who they are.

Knowing what they struggle with as a group.

It's how you make the VSL work great.

It's how you get them to consume the whole funnel.

It's how you get them to spend 5-10 minutes in your funnel process.

There is a formula to the process.

My VSL funnel has the following stats...

When visitors hit application 56.9% of them will have gone all the way through.

Average time in my app is 05:08 minutes inside the app.

Desktop is 78.6% conversion and mobile is lower.

Which makes the combined average 56.9%.

That means my visitors are at work when they fill this out more than likely because most come from desktop.

Which is exactly what I want!

They're in work mode.

This is achieved when you focus on your client.

When you focus on a very specific person.

When you know their pains.

When you know their fears.

When you know their dreams.

When you know their environment.

When you know their foes and allies.

Once you figure this out you'll know how to create the funnel, the VSL, and the application.

It actually happened to me the week of Christmas.

Everyone says sales dive in the month of December.

My sales did the opposite.

It was record breaking and we did the unthinkable...

And that was close deals the week of Christmas.

And we still got to enjoy our families.

It was so amazing.

I won't forget how this one deal went down right before Christmas.

We was about to go to a Christmas event.

It was hours away and I was getting ready to close shop for the day.

When my phone rings...

I pick it up.

It was one of my closers.

He tells me that a lead came in and they seem "serious".

I always take that with a grain of salt.

I never look for one call closes to happen.

Definitely the day before Christmas.

We usually have to bring massive value first and follow up for a few days.

But I get on the call anyways.

The client picks up and he's ecstatic.

He talks big and wants to join us.

He signs the papers and pays.

He agrees to a 6 month deal and he was so happy he did it.

All of that happens in about a 30 min call.

I was floored.

So what did we do before the call to make this happen?

Want to know?

Here we go!

We do video ads and pre-frame.

We then send to a video sales letter.

We then make them do an application with us.

They then schedule themselves to speak with us.

In the next 24 hours they will receive about 5 emails from me of pure value.

I'm looking to make that 7 emails instead of 5.

Videos, text, and massive strategy in their inbox.

And the cool thing?

It's all automatic.

Mind blowing where we are in 2019 soon to be 2020.

That's what technology can do.

Imagine this for a moment...

You're on the phone with a potential client.

You tell them the price.

They're okay with it.

You keep going with presentation and they sound excited!

You're thinking this is the one and finally you'll get paid.

You spend extra time on this person during the sales pitch because you know it's a done deal.

You get to the end and it's credit card time!

Wham bam thank-you mam-time!

Then the worst thing ever happens.

The unthinkable will happen...

They speak the most horrifying words ever...

"Ok sounds good, but let me think about it."

And then they hang up.

....

Your jaw drops.

Shocked. Scared. Confused.

It happens to us all.

It happens to my company everyday.

And it's actually not a bad thing.

Here's why...

It's kind of like walking to a stranger's house and then knocking.

They respond by opening the door.

And then you ask, "Hey, would you like to snuggle on the couch and get to know each other?"

Human reaction would be to slam the door in your face.

You know, call the cops kinda moment.

If they haven't slammed the door, that means they're interested in some fashion.

Maybe it's your slick haircut.

Maybe it's your charisma.

Who knows?

Every second that door remains open is only a sign they're not against the idea.

And who knows, they may let you in on the first knock!

Some people would rather snuggle than give you money.

That's just America, don't ask lol.

Back to business scenario though:

So if you ask for money and they're still interested...

CONGRATS!

You're 90% there!

That person is a candidate.

Only 10% of these type of people will give you a card today.

And that's if everything is dialed in perfectly.

The other 90% will need follow up.

And they will cash in too eventually!

It would be bad if 90% of America would let you in their house for a "snuggle" on first knock.

:)

So takeaway?

It's ok if 90% say no right now.

If they're interested they will close.

And one day?

People will close everyday for you if you keep building up the follow up pipeline.

That initial 30 days is hard.

But this concept no one hardly gets.

Want to close $100K in January?

Plant $1,000,000 worth of deals in December.

10% of that will close in January.

It all comes down to planting one month and sowing from that the next month.

How would you do that?

If you're product is $3,000.

You'd have to have 11 conversations a day around your offer.

That's it.

You'd close $100k the next month if you did everything right.

To get 11 conversations a day like that it may would take 50 leads from social media.

That's around $500 in ads if each lead was $10 per lead.

With 10% closing ratio and all the numbers would play out.

You see how it's all about the math?

That's how you scale.

It's all about math and once you have that...

It's scale it up time!

Sounds easy, right?

Actually no, but if you see the bigger picture you'll do amazing!

You'll build a machine that can last for years and take care of your wants/needs financially.

So I have this new addiction and it will benefit my business greatly.

I'm on a quest to become "Google famous".

Not for vanity purposes but for authority purposes.

Here's what I mean...

If you type in the name "Mark Cuban" you're going to see something cool.

You will see he has a panel by Google that brings all his information together.

It's Google's way of saying...

He's famous.

However, virtually anyone can get one.

As long as you follow the algorithms they have in place.

Everyone can get one but few actually do.

When I realized this was a thing I instantly was intrigued.

It's something that could double what you make.

For example...

You're on the phone with a client and they're like 98% there.

Only problem is they're not sure you can really do what you say you can do.

Imagine telling them to do one thing to help them believe.

And that one thing will be why they give you a credit card to run a $10k transaction.

All because you're "Google Famous".

They see you have a Google Panel and you stand out like a celebrity.

That's why in 2020 it's my goal to build up my Google Knowledge Panel.

Everyday it get's harder to get one.

But I aim to do it.

I think it's fun and it's teaching me to do something that I should have done years ago...

Learn to document.

Publish daily.

Be everywhere.

The other cool thing is that I'm trying to figure out the secret code.

Google doesn't give out their rules on how to get the panel.

You have to try to figure out.

And that just makes it even more cooler.

Here's what I've learned so far...

You have to point to the same website.

You have to stick with the same name.

You have to be published everywhere.

You have to be original.

You have to love creating content.

You have to learn PR, like really good.

You have to be patient.

You have to enjoy this game of content creation.

And I'm not sure of this...

But I think you need a book.

I don't know that, but by my research it seems between that or being on Wikipedia...

It really helps.

I'm still experimenting though.

Because that's what we're all about, right?

We're turning out business into marketing labs.

We're always trying new things.

That's what makes the Power Closers great.

The fastest way to win is to show up everyday.

Success is never a hobby, it's a mission.

So if you're wanting to win in business and bring this baby home...

You gotta show up everyday.

You maybe at work and asking, "How do I show up when I have a job?"

You have this thing called a smart phone:)

All it takes is 15 mins a day...

For example:

At break, if you were to write a blog post everyday.

And that blog helped solve a problem for a niche...

That's how you win.

That's it.

Give them reason to come back.

Because you have info on something no one else does.

Or simple they come back because they like you.

You got charisma.

You got knowledge.

You got fire.

Whatever it is... they like it.

No one get's in this game without humble beginnings though.

Amazon had to scrape money together from investors at the beginning.

Facebook was started in a bedroom.

UPS was started from two kids with some bikes.

Airbnb was started with a mattress and a website.

They all were in a place like you.

They had a dream and they stuck with it.

Even when everyone said to STOP.

They didn't.

Quit trying to be a George Lucas or Lebron James in your industry.

First show up everyday.

Then let's improve our style.

Showing up is way harder than improving.

And it's way more impactful.

If you do both however?

That's ingredients to a successful launch.

If you fail to show up then what does improvement do?

Nothing.

Show up first.

Say something.

Bring value.

Publish.

Get better.

That's the formula.

But where do most fail?

They don't show up everyday.

It's not habit yet.

It's not in their DNA.

Find that platform.

Stick with it.

Grow, bring more value, improve.

But most important...

SHOW UP!

It's an interesting time we live in.

You can go to a seafood restaurant and see something very strange.

Demographics at a place like this for most is usually people at the age of 50+.

These are the baby boomers.

They lived in a world where air condition wasn't a thing.

When TV wasn't in every home.

When grocery shopping was once or twice a month.

When people sat on the front porch and just talked.

These same people sit in this restaurant sit to eat and if you look around you'll see them do the unthinkable.

You'll see many of them glancing over their phones across the table from their spouse of many years.

And they almost forget why they're here to begin with.

I'm seeing this more and it's funny to watch her get a hold of him.

She almost has to call him to get his attention.

Here's my point.

The spouse of 50 years can't his attention due to his attention glued to a screen.

It's getting harder and harder for her.

And with that in mind...

How easy for you will it be to sell a product in this situation?

She has 50 years of his trust (hopefully) and sitting across the table.

You have spent zero time with him, he doesn't trust you, and he's skeptical of everything.

She can't get his attention and right now you can't either with advertising.

How do we survive in this new market we are in?

Do something the spouse can't do.

And that's get HIS attention.

Some think that means stripping down naked to get attention.

Some think swearing every 3rd word will do it.

Some think creating conspiracies will do it.

The real answer?

Don't be boring.

Get addicted to energy.

Have a message that he believes but no one is saying or even scared to say.

And that means to have courage.

Problem is as a business, most blend in.

They don't want to shake the waters too much.

And that's what kills the business.

We need attention.

You got to get people to hear you.

But how?

When he talks to you listen.

Then listen to his niche.

Take their calls and listen.

Soon you'll find the key things to say.

Soon you'll have his attention.

And his wife will be jealous.

Because now? He's listening to you.

So it means putting yourself out there via media.

And then promoting it.

That was a dark title wasn't it?

Luke here today with the Power Closers.

Wanted to talk about up coming days in 2020.

This next year I believe will be the new version of 2008.

Remember 2008?

Millions lost their jobs.

Many saw their 401ks drop in half.

But in that same year people exploded with growth.

That was the worst/best year for tons of people.

Crazy isn't it?

How the same year could be a nightmare for some but a dream come true for others.

And the success/failure situation was hinged on one thing...

Position.

The ones who exploded with growth we're either ready for it...

Or was just at the right place at the right time.

The ones who failed?

They were caught by surprise. Lost it all. And had to start over.

How can you prepare for something like and position for an amazing year?

Watch the waves.

Not at the beach I mean.

I mean watch the waves of history.

Every 10 years the market resets itself.

So prepare for it.

How?

Being a number one opportunity helps.

Get your clients results like no other.

Don't be dependent on debt.

Could you live for 6 months with zero income?

If that answer is no, work like crazy until you have enough to do so.

And if you work everyday like the market crash is coming...

You'll be one of the last to feel the affects.

I just wanted to prepare you today for that.

That's why I give value everyday that I can.

To save those who maybe at jeopardy.

Another way to make next year the best is by having your marketing game down.

Luke here with the Power Closers.

When you see the headline I wrote for this article people automatically assume I'm hating.

And I'm really not.

It's truly my concern for your well being as a person and for your business.

So here's the problem with this idea of becoming famous...

It's every bodies dream to pick up a camera and have the world watch you.

To pick up the phone with millions waiting to hear from you.

That's not the bad part of this mentality.

It was my dream anyways when I was a teenager actually.

However, I'm so glad it never happened.

Here's why...

I saw so many explode with fame but then a few years later they disappeared.

And when you find out what happened to them... the stories are pretty sad.

They ended up drunks, poor, or suicidal.

They felt the world reach for them and when fame left they were thrown down.

They saw their income dropped like a bomb and explode all their dreams into little pieces.

Lindsay Lohan

Brittany Spears

Prime examples of this.

Here's why this contagious idea is dangerous to you and your business.

It's about who can be the dumbest.

Who can strip down into their skivvies the fastest.

Who can get the most attention.

It's not about who can be the most helpful.

It's not about who can build things that change humanity for good.

It's always tapping into human weakness and trying to be addictive.

I'm all about trying to be addictive however.

If your business is addictive outside of things we know is wrong, good job!

You'll do well if you accomplish this.

And it's really all about that and staying in that place of being helpful and entertaining.

In fact if you can be helpful, entertaining, and still be able to advertise your product...

You're doing it right!

But most are doing one of those and not all three.

It's a struggle, but when you figure how to do this...

No Facebook ad campaign can compete.

No marketing crew can compete.

And then pump that everyday?

You'll be singing all the way to bank.

And love what you do at the same time?

That's the Life right there.

But it's about helping people first and bringing a smile to them.

Do that and you'll be fine.

So don't fret about being famous.

Be helpful.

Way better strategy.

It seems like all your clients hate you.

You haven't slept like you should.

You're discouraged.

It seems as though you should throw in the towel.

Your kids are acting crazy because you're not putting the time in with them.

House is a wreck.

Your social life is pitiful.

You're exhausted.

Then the thoughts hit your mind.

"It's time to END THIS.

BUSINESS IS NOT FOR ME."

Ever been there?

All of the legends have been there so that's good news.

It's at these times that make or break the champions.

It's these times that something inside must be born.

Want to know what I do when life feels like all of this?

I ask myself this question.

"IS THERE ANY IMPROVEMENTS LEFT THAT COULD CHANGE THIS SCENE?"

If within 24 hours I can't think of anything I'll decide to quit business life.

But guess what...

It never happened!

One time my sales fell out the bottom.

I felt like I was going to die...

Had employees, had big bills, and lots of overhead.

So I did 2 things.

Killed some overhead.

Hired closers.

It changed everything.

Those 2 improvements helped me to breath again.

And it's my rule of thumb.

I give myself permission to quit when I can't think of anything to keep this going within 24 hours.

But you know what?

I always get an idea.

And most ideas fail.

But it's when I get that last idea and execute on it...

It saves the business.

So many times it happens like that.

Could be in my sales.

Could be in lead conversions.

Could be in improving the product.

You name it.

It works for me and can work for you.

Last week we talked about superpowers and how we should identify what skills come natural to us.

From there you outsource everything so that you can focus on what you do best.

Maybe that's copywriting.

Maybe that's creating VSLs.

Maybe that's making the product better.

Maybe that's creating high converting funnels.

Whatever it is, you need to identify who you are and go from there.

Once you do that you must do the 2nd thing...

Identify all the things you're weak at and start replacing those weaknesses with people who major in your minors.

Most feel like this isn't possible when you start out.

When you definitely in fact can do this.

Closers operate on commission.

You can get callers on commission.

You can pay virtual assistants for dollars per hour.

You can have a low budget team and make it work and keep upgrading from there.

We all have to start somewhere.

It's all about identifying what's the weakest point in the business and upgrading that section.

From there it will pay for itself.

It's how the giants start in the garage and come out as a massive empire...

They scale with the help of great ideas and amazing staff.

Best thing I ever did was hiring people.

Won't be easy for sure.

But you didn't sign up for this because it was easy, did you?

You signed up because you wanted to help a group of people get results.

You told them you was going to be their leader and help them achieve their dreams.

That's not easy to do.

But you was born for this, right?

I thought so.

What's a captain without his army?

He's nothing.

What's a captain with an army he's trained everyday?

He's everything.

He's powerful and so his/her team.

But maybe you don't know what direction to go.
