The concept of not having enough time to accomplish something is often a result of misplaced focus and distractions rather than a genuine lack of time. By examining this belief objectively, one realizes that the problem lies in the allocation of time and lack of concentration. Rather than chasing perfection, it is crucial to be intentional about focus and recognize when work reaches a sufficient level of quality. By creating a conducive work environment, eliminating distractions, and setting realistic deadlines, one can overcome the notion of insufficient time and maximize productivity. The challenge is to assess work output objectively, ensuring that the pursuit of perfection does not hinder progress.

In this episode, we look into the topic of discovering internal confidence that is sustainable and complements external sources of support. While external resources such as business networks, coaches, and educational programs can offer temporary boosts to confidence, true and lasting confidence is found by placing our trust in God and depending on His strength. We explore four key passages from scripture that highlight the importance of trusting in the Lord and finding solace in His guidance. By shifting our focus towards a higher power, we can cultivate unwavering confidence that allows us to navigate challenges with resilience, peace, and a steadfast sense of purpose. Rather than solely relying on external validation, this episode encourages listeners to explore their faith as a source of internal confidence that is sustainable and complements other sources of support.

Leaders, the way you think, the mindsets you hold, and where you choose to set your mind, matter. I want you to walk into tomorrow with an advantaged way of thinking and viewing mindsets that will serve you in a positive way. Letβs talk about what mindsets are, why they are important to you as someone who is leading a business, walk through some of the most common mindsets that need a boost or to be adjusted, and finally how you can go about doing that. What is it that makes up a leaderβs distinctiveness? In this episode, we will be discussing discovering your distinctiveness as a leader, and answering the questions, why is it important to know this? How do you use it practically? And, how do you develop and grow it? In discovering your distinctiveness as a leader, there are three main components I focus on, and there is a long list of reasons why understanding and knowing what makes you distinct is important. To bring it all together, you need to be able to look at what the broad application is of your distinctiveness, and what you can do to develop and grow. What is intentional action? What isnβt intentional action? Do you think in a way that provokes curiosity in you, and others? How does empowerment play into your intentionality? In this episode of Advantaged Business Solutions, we will answer these questions and help you move your leadership and business forward. As leaders, I am sure that you go into every day with the best of intentions. But, do your good intentions always turn into significant action? I bet your mind is turning right now, and if you're honest with yourself you may not enjoy the answer. So, how do you turn your intentionality into actions that will have a real and lasting impact on your business and your team? Robert Burns is quoted as saying, βThe best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.βWhile that can be true, I like to play on that some and say the best-laid actions of business owners go awry because they arenβt intentional. Demystifying StrategyYou hear the word strategy thrown around all of the time, but do you really know what it means for you as a leader, especially as someone who is leading a business. I want to help you answer what is strategy? Where does strategy come from? Finally, what are the essentials of developing and then implementing a strategy? If you can answer those three questions you will be well on your way to mastering strategy as it pertains to you specifically. Strategy starts with your vision, then your goals (or milestones) are pulled from your vision, and your strategy is built to show how you plan to get there. The essentials of that are: first, you must know where it is you are playing, and how it is you are going to win there; second, how you will play to your strengths, and managing what matters; and third, think it through. Your leadership inside of your business is vital, I cannot stress that enough. Building a strategy to see your goals achieved and your vision fulfilled wonβt be easy, but I know that you are up to the challenge. Even if you need help from a coach, that is a growth opportunity for you, and you will still be up to surpassing any challenge. My challenge to you after you listen to this episode, take a look at your business and your leadership by answering these questions. Do you have a robust vision written out? Have you pulled goals from that vision? Does your strategy give you the how to achieve your goals and fulfill your vision? Capturing Lessons LearnedWe all know that itβs important to capture lessons learned, and apply what we discovered so we can improve and grow. I think we can all agree on that. But are you are doing that? Are you taking the time to record the lessons youβve learned? What kind of system are you using to make sure nothing is lost? Or do you simply wing it? I want to give you some questions to consider and send you on a mission of discovery. What is the importance of looking back? Why would you want to do this? How often should you be looking to lay hold of lessons learned, or the frequency of writing down these important lessons? What data are you capturing when I set yourself to this significant task? I am a firm believer that you need to try things out for a while and then decide whatβs working and what isnβt. Some things you will see need changes sooner, and you should make those changes quickly. These are any situations that come up where you see the immediate negative impact and a course correction is required. For everything else, it takes time to truly understand the significance of what course of action you have chosen. It may be the right course of action but is in need of adjustments. Or, itβs completely wrong and needs an overhaul or thrown out altogether. Thatβs why you make changes to what you're doing after longer intervals. This gives you enough time to really understand and be able to make a clear evaluation of what youβve decided to do. If you found value from this, I would love to hear your biggest takeaway. Send me an email or a DM on social and let me know what you took away. And if you're brave enough, let me know what action that is leading you to take. ~Stay Engaged Want to connect further?https://www.facebook.com/vincent.a.ream (Facebook) https://www.facebook.com/groups/advantagedbusinesssolutions (FB Group) - Additional opportunities for leaders and entrepreneurs to grow and build their networks. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy0axzswQjgevR0gBzYViqQ (YouTube) https://www.instagram.com/vincentaream/ (Instagram)

I am revisiting the topic of values that you lay out for your team or your organization. Values look so great boldly displayed on the office walls, they inspire us to be better at what we do. Or do they? With that, there are a couple of very important questions. First, what is behind the value, the definition? Second, what does the value look like when you put it into action?Β When companies start to survey employees, what is often uncovered is that the behavior of executives, and even other employees, donβt line up with what is described as being valued. I want to dig into these questions, and again demonstrate to you what is taking place after you produce that wonderful mission, vision, and values. The key takeaways: Values can be turned into behaviors without being a negative thing. You must provide a detailed enough definition so there isn't space for interpretation. You must hold yourself and everyone else accountable.

It is obvious that clear and effective communication is a must-have skill for leaders. So, why are there leaders that are poor communicators and are not willing to grow? It could be that no one has taken the time to challenge them to improve their communication. That is what I want to do in this episode, extend a challenge to you to become a more effective communicator. It may be that no one has ever challenged you. Has anyone ever challenged you to improve both your written and oral communication skills? If not, here it is. I want you to grow and become an effective and clear communicator so you never have to deal with the frustration of seeing work done twice that could have been prevented. I want you to be able to avoid the frustration of a mess with the people you lead because you were ineffective in communicating clear expectations and boundaries.
Letβs talk about building a conflict resilient team. How difficult is it for you to resolve conflict? It doesnβt matter if the conflict is at home or in the workplace, it can be very difficult to enter into that and come to a resolution that is restorative. Most of the time confrontation takes on a combative feel and tone that puts one side on the defensive, which only leads to counterattacks. That isnβt helpful. I have seen unhealthy conflict resolution far more than I have seen it done in a healthy way. This goes back to motivation. Do you want to be right? Or do you want to move beyond the contention, grow, and maintain the relationship? That means you have to understand why conflict resolution is important? Then, how to walk through it in a healthy manner. That is the real goal of this episode, to give you the tools to enter into and resolve conflict where the outcome is maintained relationships. Why do you need to understand your limiting beliefs? How do you recognize your limiting beliefs, and then once you recognize them, then what? What do you do from there? How do you go about correcting the thought patterns that lead to limiting beliefs? I will be walking you through these questions in this episode. By the end of this episode, I want you to walk away with an understanding of why this topic is relevant to you, along with the influence on your potential that either living in or out of your limiting beliefs can have. In addition, I want you to be able to recognize your limiting beliefs and then have the tools to eliminate them and move forward.
Where does annual planning start, and how do I go about doing that? In this episode, I want to answer those two questions by discussing your go-to place to start, and the how-to in order to boost your confidence going into the next year knowing that you have a solid plan. In episode 32, I discussed quarterly planning, its importance, and some how-to there as well. If you havenβt listened to that yet, you should go back and check that out first. If you listened to this, and you're left wondering if your vision is sufficient enough to plan from, or youβre wondering how to extract goals from your vision, let's talk. Maybe you have those down, but you arenβt fully comfortable with then laying out the roadmap, or strategy, to get you to goal achievement and vision fulfillment. So, this episode is about how to time travel. I hope you are asking the obvious questions. First, has this guy lost his mind? Second, what is he talking about? The first question is easy to answer, no, I have not lost my mind. You can travel through time and I will get to that explanation in answering the second question.Β The short answer is I am talking about mentally traveling through time to extract lessons and knowledge that you can turn into wisdom and apply to your future. I am seeing a trend, people donβt know where to start when theyβve identified that they are stuck. Whether they are holding themselves back or are being held back, understanding the right questions to ask is often the key to unlocking the instruction manual for the right tool that needs to be used, and how to use that tool. In this episode, I talk about whatβs holding you back. I touched on this topic in episode 6, but I wanted to revisit this from a different angle. If you are in any sort of stuck place, from business to plain old everyday life, you need to examine what is holding you back. There is a lot of confusion that surrounds the difference between a mission and a vision. In this episode, I want to dispel the myth that these two things can be interchangeable. I discuss the differences between the two and what should go into your mission statement.

My passion is to help people achieve success. And one of the ways I help people is by showing them how to cast a robust vision for their business's future, set relevant and significant goals, and then develop a winning strategy to implement. That's what I want to share with you in this episode. The point that I want you to be able to take away from this episode is the transformation that happens when you finally have that vision written out, when your goals are set, and you have a strategy laid out that clearly shows you the path to vision fulfillment. Overall in the Advantaged Business Solutions coaching program, I want you to achieve a strong mind that leads you to a successful future. For me, a strong mind is characterized by clarity, calmness, concentration, compassion, confidence, and courage. Stay Engaged, Vincent
Entrepreneurs can have all of the qualities needed to be successful like drive, passion, big ideas, confidence, great execution with follow-through, but none of these are enough to replace vision. Yes, you heard me correctly. Those qualities are great things to possess and can power your mission, but your vision is the guiding light to get you to the better future youβre dreaming of. You have to first recognize the possibility you wonβt see all of the opportunities before you and therefore pass on them because you donβt see the forest for the trees. This happens most often when people donβt have enough big-picture vision to understand all of the opportunities available to them. This is a natural tendency when you donβt have a vision. That is why I want to talk about the three dangerous potentials to your business when you donβt craft a vision, and looking at the possibilities associated with each.
What does it mean to be prepared to either start, grow, or scale your business?
In this bonus episode, I am discussing what preparedness looks like for an entrepreneur. What those things are that need to be done so that you can be confident you won't become a negative statistic.
I help entrepreneurs achieve a strong mind and successful future through gaining clarity, calmness, concentration, courage, and confidence. That is the reason to talk about preparedness.
I came across an article that gave me the idea for the title of this episode. With over 4 million people quitting their jobs in one month there will be some of those that chase their entrepreneurial dream. So preparedness for them will be key.

Is goal setting a mystery to you? Do you think you have it figured out? Today we are going to discuss goal setting in conjunction with your vision, the reasons you donβt achieve your goals, then the how-to, the steps you need to take, and the framework you will use when you write out your goals. There is a lot of debate about goal setting. I have seen social media posts that say you shouldnβt focus on goals because it could hurt your mindset. Then there are others that say goal setting is an essential part of being successful.Β So whatβs the right answer? My belief is that you must be setting goals, however, there is an order to things. https://vincentream.com/booking/ (Book Your Free Discovery & Strategy Call)
Iβve heard a lot of entrepreneurs ask the question, does vision make a difference? Do I need more than my mission statement, vision statement, and values? Those are great questions, and I am always excited to hear them because I know that the entrepreneur asking them is thinking about what is significant and they are thinking about the future. Stick around because I want to tackle those questions in this episode, and help you to understand why and how vision can make a difference in your business and your life.
As an entrepreneur, I know there is nothing more annoying than not knowing what to do next. Then, if you canβt figure it out you just avoid it because that is taking up too much of your brain space and distracting you from whatβs urgent and important.Β You know that casting vision is important, so you have chosen not to avoid it. But, how does it work? Is it as simple as saying this is what my dream is, so off I go in that direction? There is often a sort of short-sightedness that plagues entrepreneurs surrounding their unwillingness to look at and examine vision, and then to cast vision. In this episode, I want to look at the three reasons why entrepreneurs avoid the subject of vision. https://www.facebook.com/vince.ream.9/ (Facebook) https://www.instagram.com/vincent.a.ream/ (Instagram) Contact
Without vision, you are guaranteed to fail. Vision is what will carry you through when you are faced with challenges. President John F. Kennedy understood the importance of vision, and he cast a vision so audacious it took years to become a reality. And on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong stepped foot on the moon. He was famously recorded saying, βThatβs one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.β In this episode,Β I want to talk with you about moon shots and what that looks like for you as an entrepreneur, how you need to be thinking, and what you should do. https://www.facebook.com/vince.ream.9/ (Facebook) https://www.instagram.com/vincent.a.ream/ (Instagram) Contact
Are you leading or managing? There is an important distinction that needs to be made, so in this episode, we are going to make the differentiation and talk about why this matters to you as an entrepreneur. If you donβt make a distinction between leading and managing I hope that over the course of this episode I can articulate and highlight why you should see them differently.
There are many issues you will face as an entrepreneur. In this episode, I will walk through some of the challenges you will face, as well as giving you 3 keys to be an agile entrepreneur ready to handle any challenge.
Notes What does it really mean for you to be innovative, and what does crafting a culture that celebrates innovation do for you and your business? You will hear me say this over and over, you should be focused on what is significant. Those are things that have the biggest long-term impact on your business, and therefore your life. You donβt want to have your schedule (or calendar, whatever term suits you best), you donβt want that controlled by the urgent and important. Those are distractors from significance.Β As an entrepreneur, you need to constantly have your eye on the significant things that are going to move you, your business, and your team toward the vision, keeping on track to achieve goals, staying on the strategic road map you developed. Why is it important to create future leaders? I asked a minute ago if you have ever considered your legacy and the future of your business. I have a couple more questions for you. Notes Can you think of a time where you started a project that had been done before, but no one could tell you any lessons learned? There is a way to capture the lessons learned and make your path from project start to completion faster and easier. What is the way to go from project start to completion faster and easier? It is called an After Action Review, or AAR. There are some questions that need to be asked and answered, so letβs get started. What is an after-action review, or AAR? What is it not? What is the purpose behind doing an AAR? How do you go about conducting an AAR? What are the inputs and outputs? In this episode of the Advantaged Business Solutions podcast, I want to answer these questions and discuss the advantages of applying these lessons learned to your next project. Why is the practice of feedback so vital to a high-performing leader and their team? Without feedback, it is difficult to grow and develop as a leader, and it is difficult to grow and develop your team members. I do want you to know that there will still be content to help you grow your skills as a leader, however, it will not be the primary focus.Β So what is the primary focus in the new direction that I have been teasing about? The new direction is centered around entrepreneurs and their endeavor of owning, running, and ultimately scaling their business. More specifically, I will help these entrepreneurs pull out the fullness of their dream and all of its facets, turn that dream into a vision for the future that allows them to set goals, build a winning strategy, and be able to make decisions. When was the last time you sat and reflected on your biggest lesson learned as a leader? If you have done this, do you only reflect on the small improvements that you have made over time? Or have you dived deep to find the one applicable lesson that you can pass on to the next generation of leaders? These are questions that you should be asking yourself if you are serious about leaving a legacy of great leaders to carry on after you. In this episode of the Leader Development Solutions podcast, I want to share with you one of the bigger lessons I have learned in over twenty years of leading and influencing teams of various sizes and demographics, and in some very austere and high-stress environments.
How anxious were you the last time you stepped in to lead a new team? Did you feel overwhelmed and worried that you might not be effective at leading the people on your team? Were you scared, maybe even feeling nervous and exposed? These are somewhat normal feelings when you start a new journey, but they are by no means required. On this episode of the Leader Development Solutions podcast, I want to get into those questions with you and really help you build some confidence and step into the right mindset that will carry you through leading and influencing a great group of people.
Do you have the time for everything you want to do each day? What about the things that you need to do? Family, work, friends, social media, twenty-four-hour news channels, messaging, it is a wonder we are able to focus on anything. Our attention is in a constant state of interruption and noise that is hard to overcome. If you are anything like me, you receive hundreds of notifications on your phone every day, not to mention the notifications that pop up on your computer. Where does it end? Have you sat down to observe and evaluate the different responses from leaders to the many crises that have been pushed upon us over the last 8 months? I say many crises, and that is because there have been many as a result of COVID-19. Things like the breakdown in supply chains, businesses being forced to close, the resulting permanent closures, which led to the rise in unemployment, leading to the need for government assistance, and a host of other economic implications. You get the idea. In this episode of the Leader Development Solutions podcast, I want to discuss with you what can be learned when looking at different leader responses to an unexpected crisis. What I really want you to be able to take away from this is to know that you can be a leader that thrives no matter what is thrown your way. I want to hear from you. Are you creating powerful people or subjugated people that canβt create or innovate? In this episode, I want to talk to you about what it looks like to create powerful people and the importance of doing so. Creating powerful people should be part of the focus of any leader. Without your team members being empowered and owning not just their work, but owning the teamβs work and the culture of the team, you canβt expect to produce a high-performing team. You will need to be continually following up with your team members, creating space for them to innovate your current products, services, or processes, while also motivating them to dream and create. You must do this with your people understanding and believing that they will not be punished for failing, but celebrated for βfailing forwardβ and learning. Knowing that punishment is off the table is a powerful way to motivate your team members to own every aspect of your team, and they will fearlessly protect the culture you build with them.
