In our 3rd ever Retro PPV Review for TNA, we look back at TNA Destination X 2005. This show was headlined by mid-match and post-match shenanigans and Diamond Dallas Page, in his final PPV singles match ever, taking on Jeff Jarrett in a Ringside Revenge Match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. There's also an Ultimate X Challenge Match for the X-Division Championship where AJ Styles defends his title against Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, & Ron "The Truth" Killings. Also featured on the card was a Falls Count Anywhere match between "The Monster" Abyss and Jeff Hardy.

One tagline for the show was "Undertaker's Final Farewell," and what a final farewell it was! While this PPV seemed to be lacking in hype due in part to NXT not being involved this year, WWE was still able to put on a pretty decent show. There were some great matches, and there were some was a match that had some head scratching booking. I'm back with another WCW PPV Review from the year 2000! Listen in as I give you my thoughts and grades for this historically bad WCW PPV. It was infamously known for Hogan's lie-down pin of Jeff Jarrett and Vince Russo's supposed shoot promo that followed it. Card was main evented by Booker T and Jeff Jarrett for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Some of the undercard included Goldberg fighting Kevin Nash for Scott Hall's WCW contract, Kanyon vs Booker T, and Shane Douglas vs Buff Bagwell.
I return to the 2000 ECW as I look back and review ECW Heat Wave 2000. The show was Main Evented by Tommy Dreamer and Justin Credible in a Barbed Wire Stairway to Hell Ladder Match for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. Some matches on the undercard included RVD vs Scotty Anton in a grudge match, Sandman taking on Rhino for the ECW World Television Championship, and Jerry Lynn vs Steve Corino.
This year WWE decided to take a different take on the Extreme Rules PPV. Was it a good one? Did it live up to the name? Was Eye-for-an-Eye actually good? Find out all of that and more as I grade each match from The Horror Show at Extreme Rules!
This week, I stay with the Great American Bash theme as I look back and review the 2005 version of the show. It took place July 24, 2005 in Buffalo, New York, at what was known as HSBC Arena. The show was headlined by Batista defending his World Heavyweight Championship against JBL. Some matches on the undercard included Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero, Christian vs. Booker T, and Undertaker vs Muhammad Hassan.
This week, I take a trip in the way back machine nearly 30 years ago and review WCW Great American Bash 1990. The marquee matches included The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane defending their NWA U.S. Tag Team Championships against The Southern Boys (Steve Armstrong and Tracy Smothers) and Sting vs Ric Flair for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. This show also marked the North American debut for Big Van Vader. Others featured on the show included Harley Race, Mike Rotunda, The Iron Sheik, "Mean" Mark Callous (pre-Undertaker), The Steiner Brothers, Michael Hayes, Arn Anderson, Lex Luger, Sid Vicious, and many more.
This week, I take a look back and review Vengeance 2005. It took place June 26, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Thomas and Mack Center. Some big matches on the card included Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle in a follow-up to their WrestleMania 21 Classic, John Cena defending his WWE Championship against Christian and Chris Jericho in a Triple Threat Match, and Batista defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Triple H inside Hell in a Cell.
On this week's episode, I go back ten years to watch and review TNA's anniversary PPV, Slammiversary. This show took place during the Hogan-Bischoff regime and was headlined by Rob Van Dam defending his TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Sting. The show was also highlighted by matches like Kurt Angle vs. Kazarian, Jeff Hardy & Mr. Anderson vs Beer Money (Robert Roode & James Storm), and Jay Lethal vs. AJ Styles. I give you my thoughts and grades for each match from TNA's 8th anniversary show, Slammiversary.
Edge & Orton had the unenviable task of putting on "The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever." We all know it wouldn't be the greatest match ever, but would they actually put on a really good wrestling match? Spoiler alert..They did! Find out my take on this and the 6 other matches from Backlash 2020.
Due to the rousing success of the documentary, The Rise and Fall of ECW,WWE decided to revive the ECW brand for just one night (initially). They did just that with ECW One Night Stand 2005! Plenty of ECW legends appear and wrestle throughout the show including The Dudley Boyz, Rhyno, Chris Jericho, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, and many more. I give you my thoughts and grades for each of their matches from this historic PPV that took place 15 years ago!

Big matches on the card included Dean Ambrose vs. Miz for the IC Title, The Hardy Boyz vs. The Bar in a Steel Cage match for the RAW Tag Titles, and Samoa Joe vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins in an Extreme Rules Match to determine the #1 contender for the Universal Championship. The show that kicked-off AEW had it's second edition of the show last night. It had some highs and lows but was a very fun show overall. The big question coming into the show was...Will the Stadium Stampede live up to the hype? I answer that question and give you my thoughts and grades for each match from AEW Double or Nothing 2020!
Judgment Day 2000 took place in Louisville, Kentucky at Freedom Hall. Some of the big matches included an 60-minute Iron Man Match for the WWF Title between The Rock and Triple H with Shawn Michaels as the special guest ref, Benoit v Jericho in a submission match for the IC Title, and 4 more matches. This week, I go back to the dying days of WCW and review WCW Slamboree 2000. Just to give you an idea of what WCW looked like at that point, the main event was David Arquette defending his newly won WCW World Championship in a Ready to Rumble Triple Cage Match against DDP and Jeff Jarrett. But aside from that, how was the rest of the show? Was it a rare gem from the late days of WCW or was it pretty much unwatchable like most WCW stuff from that time? Listen in and find out!
