This season and Year has been very trying. There is no doubt in my mind that the children of GOD are being tested and tempted like never before. Yours truly has also had to bear and overcome the trials a relationship and marriage can experience in such a short time. Bishop T.D. Jakes says, " The reward for winning a fight, is another fight!". Words that are still in effect for many Standers. The overall rhetoric in society is that the institution of marriage is "dead". I also recognize there are plenty of examples in the wild that support that belief. I once did a podcast episode titled "Pushed Too Far". The episode focused on the way all behavior and mindsets bent on separation and destruction of a family structure would one day be corrected when believers realize this certain pathways ultimate goal in death. Death in dreams and ethics, death in morals and character, death to peace and good faith. People are capable of horrible acts, but we are also capable of SO much good! We clearly need to focus on the WORD and how--in so many ways-- do we get on track and push forward. Marriage Isn't Dead...it's going to evolve!

www.tyreewilson.com--I read an email from a listener who admitted to having an affair after his wife found out. This man had no choice but to look within and figure out two things: 1. What is causing the turmoil in his life to drive him to cheating? 2. What is the BEST steps he can take to rid himself of the destructive behavior? His admittance to wanting his marriage survive this transgression lead to the title of this episode.

Devotional reading Written by r. Ruth Barton --www.tyreewilson.com. Follow me @locdpop--this weeks episode I talk about the unseen competition brought on by the enemy and the prodigal spouse. There isnt a great way to title outside forces and influences as anything short of competition. When a prodigal allows the world outside of their marriage to change their values, they invite this destructive spirit to work against the marital foundation. But what force really competes with the LORD?

www.tyreewilson.comย  ๐Ÿ“ธInstagram/ @locdpop Finding like-minded people can be a life-changing resource to acquire.ย  The people within your network are after the same thing you may be after--bettering themselves-- while NOT wanting to obtain any of what you exclusively have or acquired for yourself. Basically, surround yourself with people who plot to take your "stuff".ย  This advice can work for your marriage, new relationship, or personal goals you are working towards. On this segment, I talk about how allowing myself to go "nuclear" in a past heated argument between Tiffany and I, brought us to a decision to legally separate. It sucks honestly ๐Ÿ˜“ , but I want to keep the focus on the message within the storm. Sometimes you will feel like your marital circumstances are not fair, and you may feel that you have done and said all you can to express your love and concern for your spouse. With God's help and Word, you can turn the unfair circumstances to your favor. it will take faith and trust in God. Use your words to speak only about the life and blessing God is sending you right now, no longer will you have to poison the well by talking to others about your choices. Use this message and scripture to find the peace of mind to let the Lord fight this battle for you. Get back to Him and understand that now at least 50% of your marriage is already on the right track! Subscribe to the Podcast @ www.tyreewilson.com In this segment, I talk about me facing myself and my unresolved issues even after my marriage was restored. Lingering effects of the past may pop up from time to time in your own marriage restoration journey. The issues you'll face from the past will require you to double down on the discipline you have developed within the Grace of GOD.

The enemy has stolen enough of your heart and time, so I choose to not give him any credit or recognition for my own wandering thoughts. As always, focusing on the Lord will drive the enemy from your life every time feelings of loss and anxiety come to steal away another second of your life.

This is STILL a journey I am on myself, but I am willing to walk it. May God strengthen you to walk your path in unison with the Almighty.

God bless,

Tyree

Standing for your marriage can cause you to seek out deeper sense of self-value and self-worth, mentally and spiritually, but how is the body--our physical being--able to keep up with the day to day journeys amongst the storm?

How is it possible that you or I can feel the pressure of the clock ticking against us, and yet manage to harness said time to change not only ourselves but our approach to life as standers?

Standing for your marriage, before learning to LET GO of what we can not control, cause us symptoms in the body.

The symptoms of STRESS are undeniable:

-Tiredness

-Infedility

-Lack of appetite

-Loss of Motivation

-Debilitative Worry

-Isolation

In this segment, I share an answer that could only be found when I chose to be silent and LISTEN to the unmistakable and undisturbed Voice of God.

Special shout out to brother David Bowen

Social Media and how it can be used like hammer out the tool box. It can either be used to build something for yourself or others, or destroy your life and the lives or others by how its used. It took time for me to realize that I wasn't using the platforms for the benefit of my marriage, but rather to isolate myself and remain separated from the Lord. Secret Groups, Private messages, and hidden societies of people who got together for numerous reasons where all who were more than welcoming of my presence amongst them. I felt unjudged, un-convicted by the sins of my actions, basically living guilt-free of my ways.

I was lying to myself, the weight of dealing with my issues and the issues in my home felt overwhelming and I ached for a way to escape them. But in the process, I ruined friendships, job opportunities, networking opportunities and even my own education took a backburner. Honestly, I don't regret the lessons I had to learn when I accepted God back into my life because I understand now , this was all part of the plan.

In this segment, I share with you my own story, lessons, experience and reason as to why I had to sever my connection to the online world in order to support my decision to fight for my marriage...and mean it.

How would you like to learn the SINGLE most important step I applied to removing the enemy from my actions and thoughts in order to save my marriage? Some people say it was God ย who made it happen, and those people would be absolutely correct. God entrusted me with a mind and will to SNAP myself out of the mental prisons of grief and anxiety and continue to keep my heart focused on Him. To the point that self-sabotage was a long forgotten habit I carried for many years. In this segment, I share how, when, and why this important step caused a critical turn around in how I carried myself through life as a STANDER.ย  I also share a message from a brother in faith, and Instagram follower, AVEDAD19. My conversation with him allowed me to hear how well the podcast is doing and how my testimony has helped him in finding peace in his own world as a standing husband.

In this episode, I bring in my wife Tiffany, as a special guest to share her side of things or our separation and restoration. She shared that her world of marriage and companionship with me was NOT the life she thought we'd both end up finding ways to destroy. But after giving herself and her expectations over to God, she found that the pain of our situation was not caused by our faults alone, but that God was redirecting us to the true path of togetherness as a covenant marriage.

The prodigal spouse may have chosen to walk their path without you, but that doesn't have to mean you lose who you are as a man or woman. The ego is a tricky trait to reel in if you do not stop to identify its pesky presence in your marriage. Without Divine discernment, your marriage and STAND is at risk of being overtaken by selfishness. The need for one party or the next to feel happiness solely through the actions and favored behavior of others. Standing for marriage is about walking and drawing closer to God in your new life and relationship with Him, being wrapped up in working for the appeasement of another human being will only drain your spirit. Some believers call this "idolizing" your spouse. Together or not, married or not, the bindings of your marriage will face the inevitable stress and pressures of the world. You may be the spouse who handles the pressure better, because you have a deeper and broader understanding that happiness will come and go, and when it does, it generally comes from within-not without. This segment, I talk more about why your partners happiness is not solely your responsibility.

This segment is our goodbye to 2019, it can be bittersweet, but God makes room for new blessing and blessing we do not expect. Sometimes before we are allowed to move forward, confidence and faith compel us to move away from the old ways and old habits so God can show us what we have been missing out on. To see what he has always had in store for us. The exodus of breaking away from a sinful lifestyle will scare others into wanting to join you, but we all have a journey to walk with God. The prodigal spouse is not exempt from this very course. The only choice left for them and the marriage is choosing to walk together with you or have themselves brought, kicking and screaming to God. Put your foot down in 2020 my friend, enough is enough!

In the segment, We walk through the path of better parenting while standing for your marriage. This topic is just as deep as any other, yet small and acutely focused efforts to support your child(ren) are worth a lifetime of positivity. Like any other quest with God, it won't be easy, but if you are willing to spend real quality time leveling with and getting to know your offspring better, their love can keep your spirit above troubled waters. I share a part of my own journey to know my children better than I previously invested in. What I found were three little women who were counting on me to give my marriage everything I had before it ended. I found that they loved me and their mother all the same, and were prepared to accept the devil's plans, as long as their parents were "happy" apart. Children may start off as seemingly selfish little people, but in today's world, they still need a mother and father to continue to guide them.

Todays episode is request topic from a member of the podcast, Jose.ย  There are men in the world who are more than willing to be anything and everything for their families. They pride themselves on being providers and protectors. These men are connected to the value they hold in the eyes of their wives. The love, respect, and the emotional nurturing they are accustomed to obtaining from their spouses mean the world to them. ย  But what happens when that emotional connection is shaken? How do they adjust to the shifting foundations of unknown angst from the wife?ย  When do they speak up or speak out about the type of love they needed from their partners is no longer sustained? The answers are actually limitless...but for some, finding a false sense of security in the OW becomes a tempting discovery...

This segment I give my opinion on how a standing spouse can talk to, to with and learn from spouse who may be going through depression. This topic is a bit personal for me because I once thought my wife, Tiffany was struggling with depression herself. Maybe we both were...or perhaps your spouse is simply "stuck" with what new, life-changing choices they will need to make in order to move forward with their deepening understanding of life. Standers must take care not to prematurely judge our spouses but instead pray over them and ourselves, the goals for unity and expanding our love will only benefit our ability to establish life long and true relationships in the home.

After about two and half years after the whole D-day announcement, Tiffany and I hadnโ€™t quite reconciled with one another, but we shelved the conversation of divorce. Things between us had become a little more peaceful. Our children didnโ€™t fight as much, we worked together to get our mortgage payments under control and our debt collections were consolidated. We even dug deep and asked her mother and stepsister to move out of our home. Looking back now, Iโ€™m still shocked by how hard we had to work to make it all happen. Some feelings were hurt-- maybe really hurt-- and hard decisions were made.

Every marriage is different, and every #stander has their own walk with God, but the lessons remain the same. ย ย Behavior can be about more than actions, it can be about the very thoughts you have about your situation and your emotions. ย I encourage you to check yourself from time to time and include the Most High in your self-reflection. Standing Spouses have a habit of listing all the things the prodigal spouses do and say towards them or how there hasn't been much communication currently. ย It's tempting and easy. ย Both traits and beliefs are weapons the enemy hands us. ย You don't need to be tempted and if marriage were easy, there would be no records or examples of Standing in the Bible. ย God saw this and prepared for it. ย Let Him fight this one for you my friend. ย While you work on your own behavior and feelings about your marriage.

When we consider the book of Jeremiah stated above, we understand the promise God makes to all who believe in Him. A promise from Him to guide us to the future where we ALL prosper.

This means YOU, especially.

Matthew 5:28 "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."ย

This segment, I talk speak on a question some men have a hard time navigating. Cheating shows itself in many forms and often happens for many reasons. Either way, the act is one of betrayal and selfishness, but the reasons are often not explored or misunderstood. I believe if you are a husband and have cheated or was cheated on, there is a pathway you can take to unpack the emotional devastation an affair has on your marriage.ย

For questions, feedback or comments email Tyree here Iโ€™d been struggling with rejection during my stand, my wife didnโ€™t feel โ€œsafeโ€ around me, and for good reason. We talked here and there but only briefly, and only about our three girls. It felt so awkward being in the physical presence of my wife and yet shut away from her emotionally and physically. Dealing with a spouse who wants divorce and then living with her at the time was draining the life out of me. I had no clue if all my praying and all my changes were doing anything for my marriage, but what I did know was my wife did not want me, at all. Not the type of physical attraction you experience with someone you feel good around. The rejection came off to me more like, โ€œI choose to be sexual, just not with you.โ€ A stage I wasnโ€™t ready or prepared to be a part of, mainly in part because I was still very attracted to my wife. So much so, that when the feeling or attraction wasnโ€™t mutual, I took other means to quell the pain... The inability to connect with one another during a pending divorce was a phase I was not prepared for. Fights and arguments between my wife and I had swelled into mountain of resentment for one another, so much that we were in the same home and couldn't so much as look at one another.

It took time and new perspectives to move past this stage of divorce. A disconnect of the heart is felt even harder while in close proximity. Separation happens on so many levels...

I spent the last week at home with my three girls (no school), and managed to clean out a few closets and cluttered rooms in the house. Felt real good to move around and workout without bumping into empty boxes or stepping on my youngest daughters toys. But the past weeks clutter battle brought an old yet refreshing memory to me.

Back almost three years ago, my wife and I were returning home from our night classes. We were in the midst of arranging our futures as separated spouses, it seems silly now but we were just so sure separation was the most logical move to make. I was still trying my hardest not to show too much emotion over those kind of conversations, leaning more on GOD felt pointless to me really after so much time passed...

This episode I talk about being married to a narssasitic Spouse and how third behavior can affect your marriage. This topic was a little rough for me to stuff into a single podcast, honestly I feel I could spend at least a two weeks straight with this subject matter. You should know that there is no "one way" to live with these types of partners. There are some positive ways and then there are some not so positive ways to maintain a marriage with this spouse. So, I chose to focus on ways to free yourself from their behaviors and the temptation to label them from this point on.

This episode I talk about a question Standing Men may have asked themselves once or twice. ย The definition of stupid is having or showing a great lack of intelligence or common sense.ย

My Listener, you lack nothing. Feeling like you should move on and "give up" WILL come up, and I advise you seek the LORD to bring you to the next step. But also take the time to meditate and rediscover the best points of yourself, you are not just waiting, you are being given time to mine through the muck of past mistake and failures. The skills and the traits that has brought you this far will serve and support your STAND.

Psalms 34:10 "The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing."

Welcome Guys! This Group was created to serve as a focal point for content and resources to help you in your STAND for marriage. Ask for help. Ask for Support. Give other members strong advice. Add others like yourself who need GOD and a community of devoted MEN they can count on. After almost 10 years of marriage, and 3 children, my wife told me she wanted a divorce. The news hit me SO hard I responded with anger, vindictiveness, and confusion. All of those areas had done one thing to me, allow the enemy to steal a part of my life. After having a close encounter with GOD and choosing HIM over my own selfishness, he saw fit to work on my personal issues right down to my core. It took 2 years of removing drinking, smoking, cheating, lies, and tears of hurt to position my spouse and I to become a more powerful married couple than ever before. Prayer and Worship open the doors to blessings and strategies that helped me reconnect with my spouse. We will work together to reconnect yours! In this segment I go over co-parenting, an easy topic to overlook in your marriage. Every member in your family remembers their upbringing in different ways, and your spouse is no exception! Parenting is basically a culmination of upbringing from both parents. A set of styles that either compliment or complicate each other. So how can you better align your style of parenting with that of your partners? Communicate with each other and find common ground in the balance of your parenting skills. This may mean taking center stage at certain times, and knowing when to fall back.

This segment, we wrap up our topic on 2 factors to a great relationship. Congratulations guys!

Your relationship with your spouse or partner is a union you can continue to grow and deepen with time and trust. Letting go of the basic day-2-day routines and conversations requires a need to do better. Unfortunately those needs frequently arise when us men are in danger of losing that special someone in our life.

Next week we work through a topic my brother, Terrance Wilson brings up.

"How to deal with your partners sex drive going cold."

We got a surprise response this week from my own Dad about two factors in a great relationship. He mentioned that Communication and Humor are very important as well. Let me say I totally agree with those factors. I come from line of hilarious men-- we all just somehow managed to keep our women laughing-- so I see how easy it to break the ice with women and how you can keep them engaged in your conversation. Tommorow we wrap up this week's topic and look onward to the future of the podcast. p.s. If you would like to be a guest on the show, send me a message here or on Instagram/Facebook.

Today we dig deeper into the two relationship factors In talked about last episode. Trust and Time--easy words to spout off--but not too often will you hear about people using them. A man is gifted with personal talents and abilities, and whatever we need foundation on, we work on those things. Almost every situation you are in when dealing with someone else, your trust and time are given and taken. Two resources that is hard to get back. So use them wisely, every hardship doesn't require you to jump ship and everybody you meet doesn't mean that you are now friends. The truest form of any relationship requires trust and time. Are you ready to live in the best relationships you can?

Invaluable- indespensible; extremely useful

That's right! I'm talking about real men, doing real men things. The men who have chosen to put themselves out in order to provide for their children. Adopted children, step-children, grandchildren, or even your own children, it really doesn't matter. You've decided to put the world on your shoulders and make a difference with another life. This segment is for men who dared to show up to life's many challenges of manhood.

Don't forget, our first children book "Goodnight, Daddy" is on its way.

During our conversation I practiced what I preached and told him about what I do with my life and who I am working to become. The surprised looks on his face during our talk was priceless to me because I had taken what he thought he knew about me and dispelled it. Another level of confidence had entered into me last night. A lesson I learned (reluctantly) was how and when to temper my emotions and mind set. I always followed the belief that a man should put his foot down on EVERY situation he comes across. I used this tactic in my marriage and with my children.

To a point, I have used this way of life to protect my family from potential dangers in the world. However there comes a time when we MEN must learn when to and when not to be so aggressive with our loved ones.

This segment is a personal story from me. I talk about one of the moments I learned to stop holding on to a relationship that only brought out the worst in me and my actions.

I took me close to 12 years to come to a decision to move on with my life and concentrate on who I am and my families well being.

Are you getting closer to removing a situation from your life for the better?

Have you gotten to a point where you see yourself stepping into the best version of you by letting go?

I add a new intro song to mix up the sounds you hear on this podcast.

www.tyreewilson.com. There is a time for everything in your life. A time for production, a time for action, and a time to rest. We men are full of action and aggression, sometimes its validated and sometimes it is not. This week, we talk about those specific times when men are validated to fight for what we believe and hold dear to us and when it is time to let go of what has us out of sync with ourselves. Are you holding on to feelings or events that has you out of sync?

This segment, we discuss how to identify the cheater who is driven by revenge. Keep your eyes peeled and ears up because this type of person is headed for destruction. If you are encountering this mindset, they will destroy themselves in an attempt to make you feel their pain.

Have you ever encountered a cheater driven by revenge? How did you navigate this challenging situation?

In this Segment, I share my philosophy and opinions on what makes a cheater exist in a relationship and the 4 possible reasons it occurs so often. I personally have never heard of a cheater that was proud of themselves, I've also never heard of a cheater who's ever "liked" cheating itself. This week is gonna be a rough one!

Have you ever had someone or others talk about or speak on parts of your life like they are you ? Have people spoken some things about you that are true? True or not, no one has the power on this planet to tell your story better than you. In this segment, I use Lebron James as an example of how what people think about you does not matter. What does matter is if you are brave enough to stand your ground when others prefer you to lay down.
