We are very excited for our first sermon series of 2019! Together we are going to look at how Jesus saturated his whole life in prayer. And we will discover different ways to pray to gain access to His power and a deeper relationship with Him.

One of the opening statements of Jesus’ ministry was this… “You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world.” These two comments, made specifically to His followers, implied the value of these followers to the world around them. They were to bring great worth and direction to those in need. So what has happened? Instead of bringing value and direction, the church has become an institution that preserves the past and fears the future. Salt Light challenges the church to create the future that humanity desperately needs.

Paul, the Apostle once stated, “We are a masterpiece created by God to do the things He planned for us long ago.” (See Ephesians 2:10)
God, the Creator has crafted you to accomplish something that He carefully planned for you to do. You were made for this mission. There is nothing in life you would enjoy more. You now have two choices. Like many, you can default into self-absorption and ineffectiveness. Or you can discover your reason for existence and live life with divine destiny and fulfillment. These only two possibilities should be enough for you to ask the question, What On Earth Are You Doing!

Jesus said in Mark 12:31 that the second greatest command was to love your neighbor as yourself. Even with this very direct instruction, we can get so set in our routine that we forget the very people in our community that need the love of Jesus.Join us in September for our sermon series, How to Neighbor, as we cover how we can be a part of embracing orphans, reconciling races, empowering the poor, and loving the lonely.

God created us for intimacy, and we’re taking a 4-week look at what that means. Intimacy is a topic everyone has wrestled with at some point in their lives. How do we address this with children, how do we deal with pornography, and how about intimacy even in marriage?
