In this episode, which we almost titled "Don't Take This The Wrong Way," we try to discern the difference between churches that desire to focus on being people of the kingdom and churches that do church for the sake of church. Are there clear markers for each? Is there an actual divide? Tune in, listen, and see where we land.

Also, Tim T is very aware of where he messed up explaining some theological positions between Weslyanism and Calvinism and is cringing as we speak, but by now, you know he's not an articulate speaker, so cut him some slack😂 . Spotify just announced they're supporting video. So, we thought we'd upload the full version of the latest episode, which includes the video! In this episode, we discuss the contents of the Lord's prayer and how it teaches us to pray. Although it seems simple, the Lord's prayer is a tightly packed biblical and theological lesson of why we can and should pray to God. We also talk about monks.

The Lord's Prayer (Matt 6:9-13, NRSV)

Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come.

Your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And do not bring us to the time of trial,

but rescue us from the evil one.

🚨Also, we need to make a clarification about the Greek word we looked up. Tim J referred to "sozo," which means restoring to health and salvation from spiritual disease and death. Tim T incorrectly stated that sozo and zoe have the same root. They do not. Sozo famously appears as a verb in Mark 5:34, and zoe is what is used for "life" in John 10:10.
