Alexander teaches on the young Jesus, who had questions about his conception. A young human Jesus who would have had to navigate having one true mother and two true fathers. This Jesus was real and vulnerable, but he drew his strength from his Heavenly Father, his Abba.
His spiritual formation came about through more relatable means that we may think, Jesus was not pre-programmed with his full identity, he would have accessed much of it the same as we, ourselves access our identities from our earthly fathers. And when he looked up! He completed his identity in his father above.
Who am I? Who is He? Who was Jesus?
Part 3 of our Jesus Series. Alexander is an experienced authority on the topic of the historical Jesus. Tune in to today's Podcast to go even deeper into the truth of the Jesus who walked this earth.
Paul was in town to ordain our new Elders and teach on connection. The Church is being brought back into relationship again. A time for restoration. And that restoration will come from connection, first with Christ, then with one another.
Why is our Jesus better than the Jesus of the other faiths? Wait... Other faiths have a Jesus of their own? Yes they do. And so does the world. Let's continue defining the Jesus of Christianity, the true Jesus.

What did God say? Where did you write that? In your heart or on your mind, it's time to remember.
Are wired for something, are we wired for input? Are we wired for God, are we wired for experience? What will we discover in years to come that are things we crave without defining them, and what benefits do those things bring... Grant takes us through the leading research on being wired for love.
We're called to multiply, we're called to replicate. And the replication should be Jesus, and the method should be discipleship.
Serve one another. That's pretty much the gist of this message. It was the gist of Jesus' message on earth too as he culminated his life's ministry with communion supper and the ultimate act of lowly service in that era; of washing feet as the lowest servant. Who is above servanthood? Certainly not Christ. Certainly not Christians.
Communion has always been central to the new covenant and those living under the grace and salvation of Jesus, but do we reverence it as much as Jesus did? Do we prize it the way he did?
Do you guard the word of God, that is to say do you value your bible and bible reading highly enough to set times and boundaries around it. Is it an absolute gem in your spiritual walk, or just another book?
So now that Gary has reviewed the heart and history of tithes and offerings and their patterns in the past, let's unpack modern day New Testament Giving.
Oh man, as we enter the Temple, we're faced with the Offering Table. Which offerings are required? Which offerings are rejected? Whose heart is received? This teaching is about so much more than tithes and alms, it's about the Lord of the cattle of a thousand hills giving us a pattern with a purpose. The Temple has always been where God chose to presence Himself. Right? Not quite... and now that Jesus has 'rebuilt' the Temple and made us his dwelling place, there's a lot to be learned about the biblical patterns and types in Temple history. Gary introduces the new series.
The Church has always been for free. Christ's Grace has always been for free. That's the scandal! However, the tension of that truth is that Christ's freedom in us, costs everything. Kerry absolutely smashed it out the park today, describing good and Godly love, the love of the Holy spirit and how that contrasts with our carnal understanding of love at times. Have you been praying for God to move in your life, relationship, business, but He has said no or said nothing? Why is that? Could it be that you are not living in love the way "God does Love"?
The humble bicycle has so much to teach us. No parts are vestigial. Each component adds to the value of the bicycle and so to the experience of the journey. So it is with the Church. We're all here for a part and purpose, some parts are always in use, others are only engaged in times of crisis. No parts are without purpose.
Grief. Good Grief? Death and loss of so many things are demonic and not a good father's plan for us. But does God have a plan for grief? Yes.

So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup. For if you eat the bread or drink the cup without honoring the body of Christ, you are eating and drinking God’s judgment upon yourself. That is why many of you are weak and sick and some have even died.
But if we would examine ourselves, we would not be judged by God in this way. Yet when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, when you gather for the Lord’s Supper, wait for each other. If you are really hungry, eat at home so you won’t bring judgment upon yourselves when you meet together. I’ll give you instructions about the other matters after I arrive.

We're picking up on this thread that the Lord requires unity among us. It's what we're designed for. Scripture tells us that it commands His blessing and also pleases God! Where does it start? What are the checkpoints in my own life?
Unity above so many things, is worth fighting for. Imagine a world where we fought to be united, rather than to remain divided. Imagine a Groom fighting to be united back with His Bride. Imagine a brother in conflict with you, fighting to be reunited! There is good fight, and in this series, we teach on how to gain and maintain unity according to scripture.
John D'Achada was in town to teach on The Church and why it's the chosen distribution point for God's blessings. A profound teaching on why God commands certain blessings not only in unity but also in community, that's to say, if you're not in church community, you're missing out. Big time.

ὁδός is the Greek word used in scripture to describe Christianity before it had that name, before society had labelled it. The word ὁδός means 'the way, the road', and there is a way and a road to and with Jesus.

This weekend Paul taught on Prayer In Singing. The idea that worship is prayer and that prayer is worship. That there is a posture of unity and there are types of prayer. He mentions just a few postures in what (without the musical portion included) is a 'sermon in a blender'!
My heart only warms a cold heart when it's already warm! How do we stay warm-hearted. What is the sound of our hearts?
Are you satisfied with life? Are you satisfied with your hunger for God? Your Holy Dissatisfaction with the Now but Not Yet experience of and in the Kingdom should drive you to want so much more! Because He has so much more for you.
How hard are our hearts? How would we even know? Perhaps getting closer to the heart of the Father will give us that reference, and in so doing, melt our own hearts again.
