Regular film show from the Cinetopia podcast team, reviewing the latest releases (slanted towards arthouse cinema), and interviews with film professionals as well as highlighting industry specific masterclasses we produce in Edinburgh.
Cinetopia is a organisation aiming to make film and filmmaking more approachable and diverse within Edinburgh and beyond. We offer low-cost film screenings for local communities & organise free networking events that bring filmmakers in the early stages of their careers together with seasoned professionals and festival directors together.
This month Cinetopia's Amanda Rogers was joined by Edinburgh-based film academic, Kat Zabecka, a new contributor to our show to review 4 new release films currently out in cinemas across the UK and beyond.

Our March episode is maybe our most film-packed episode yet! We review big cinema releases, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part II and Radu Jude’s Don’t Expect Too Much from The End of the World, both out in cinemas this month.

On the November edition of the Cinetopia Radio show and podcast, Cinetopia's Amanda Rogers is joined with show regular Garry Arnot and Amaya Bañuelos Marco as we review the palme d’or winning, Anatomy of a Fall (Justine Triet) plus new release films including the Scottish documentary Loch Ness: They Created a Monster (John MacLaverty), which was screened at the Inverness Film Festival and the British film Femme (Sam H. Freeman and Ng Choon Ping) which featured this year at Edinburgh International Film Festival this year.
Amaya Bañuelos Marco and Amanda Rogers talk all things documentary covering IDFA, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam 2023, reviewing three films together, El Echo (Tatiana Huezo). Alreadymade (Barbara Visser), The Cemetery of Cinema, (Thierno Souleymane Diallo). Amanda sat down with Paul Bruce Director of the Edinburgh Short Film Festival and Jamie Robson, an actor who features in two films as part of this 13th edition of the festival.
