The Conscious Breathing podcast was created to explore how breathing plays a critical role in our health, relationships, Come with us on this journey where we extract the wisdom of experts from around the world into a unified understanding of breath and the role of carbon dioxide and oxygen in our health. The way we breathe can have a profound impact on our physiology which influences our relationships, sex life, energy levels, ability to concentrate, and remember and much more.
We breathe between 10 to 20kg 20 to 40lbs) of air per day. Compared to food, we only consume about 1 to 2kg (2 to 4lbs) per day and water even less at
We explore a large range of health topics with these guiding principles in mind.

Patrick McKeown and Daniel Daniel Pålsson of Oxygen Advantage meet with Anders Olsson of Conscious Breathing to talk about the latest in breathwork. Anders Olsson talks about his story of how he got into breathing, how it transformed his life and why he sold his house to build Conscious Breathing and spread it to the world.
Anders' breathing journey started in 2009 when he read a book called How to Swap Asthma for Life. Anders Olsson discusses how breathing helped his racing mind to unlock the turbo and slow down.
Here are a few of the things discussed during the podcast:
In episode 7 of the Conscious Breathing podcast, Katia Trost from integral-evolution joins us to discuss her unique strategies to overcome trauma. She's a licensed naturopath and trauma therapist in Germany. She started out specializing in hormones and metabolism. Right now she's more interested in the healthy development of individuals and society and turned independent researcher, teacher and online entrepreneur.
Katia has a very comprehensive all level and integral approach to trauma which includes breathwork and CO2 therapeutic interventions.
The cancer whisperer, Dr T. Que Collins, PH.D., M.A.,M.S. joins Steve Scott on the Conscious Breathing podcast to discuss how breathing, carbon dioxide (CO2) and deuterium depleted water play a big role in understanding and treating cancer.
Dr Q is a leading scientist when it comes to developing and applying integrated nutrition and metabolic therapies to treat cancer in people and in pets. He is the president of Preventa America, the managing director of Better Cancer Outcomes, the chief recruitment officer for Better Cancer Outcomes Cancer Blood Sample Donation Campaign, and he is the co-founder of the Center for Deuterium Depletion, and former principal investigator of Epigenix Foundation. Additionally, he is the co-founder of Ketopet Sanctuary, which is a 53-acre ranch outside of Austin, Texas, founded by the founders of Quest Nutrition, for the purpose of using ketogenic diet and other metabolic therapies, with and without standard care to treat dogs with naturally occurring cancers
Learn how Dr Q is using breathing techniques, carbon dioxide therapies and deuterium depleted water and other strategies to help treat cancer in conjunction with conventional therapies.

On Episode 5 of the Conscious Breathing Podcast with Steve Scott, Karim Delgado from Brain Mechanics shows us his advanced multimodal approach to Alzheimer's, brain health and improving overall well-being.
We dive deep into fascia work and how our memories or sensations are stored within there. How with trauma and stress our fascia is constricted around our organs and other parts of the body and how carbon dioxide therapy helps to release the contraction allowing the fascia to expand.
The approach used at Brain Mechanics involves collaborating with a diverse range of health experts measuring many aspects of human physiology as well as deploying technologies to help facilitate change.
Karim has created a really unique and dynamic approach that I think you will find very interesting.
Please let us know your experiences with Alzheimer's in the comments below.

On today’s episode of the Conscious Breathing Podcast I have fellow pulmonaut James Nestor. He is an author and journalist who has written for Outside Magazine, The New York Times, Scientific American and many others. In 2014 he released his best selling book Deep: Freediving, Renegade Science and What the Ocean Tells Us about Ourselves. It has received numerous awards. In his latest book Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art, he explores the million-year long history of how humans have lost the ability to breathe properly and why we are suffering from such ailments as snoring, sleep apnea, asthma, allergies and a whole host of other maladies and how we can use breathing to explore the furthest reaches of our human potential.
Episode 2 of the Conscious Breathing Podcast I’m excited to have Billy Craig. Billy started his career as an engineer for Rolls Royce where he developed the analytical understanding of how things work while not relying on assumptions but in measuring and validating. After being hit by a drunk driver and almost losing his ability to walk he was motivated to move into the fitness industry which helped restore his health and get back closer to sport. He is now a UK based independent health and nutrition researcher while completing his PHD focusing on disordered eating, compensatory behaviours, learned helplessness and metabolic adaption.
On episode 1 of the Conscious Breathing Podcast we are joined by Bud Weiss. Bud is one of the first in the US to study and teach the Buteyko breathing method with over 25 years of experience. He worked with Alexander Stalmatsky and his protege Chris Drake to setup seminars helping apply the breathing principles to their particular illnesses.
As of late he is retired due to family obligations but still continues to work one-on-one with individuals while continuing to explore the physiological, emotional and spiritual aspects and implication of Buteyko’s work and the vital importance of CO2 and it’s mechanisms for creating health on all levels.
