He is the Founder of The Menopause Method and The Institute of BioIdentical Medicine, where he has trained medical professionals to master hormone replacement using the most advanced and modern tools. His protocol has been used to treat more than 12,000 women.
Dr. Rosensweet was recently named one of “The Biggest Names in Anti-Aging Medicine” by The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He is the author of the books, Menopause and Natural Hormones and Happy Healthy Hormones: How to Thrive in Menopause - The Menopause Method represents the collective work and research of more than twenty year’s specializing and teaching in the field.

Not many of us can say we have created our own wellness, app, but that is exactly what my guest in this episode has done. Tammy Williams, CEO of Envision2bWell had the vision to create the platform EnvisionWell. The best part...it is free of charge. EnvrisionWell is about 16 apps in one to help users keep track of their fitness, their nutrition, their health, and more. Hear her story of how she is helping all of us to get people on their "journey to 360 Well-Being® and Social Health Empowerment." It syncs with several hundred apps, with the functions separate apps that are unable to communicate with one another. It brings people’s data to life in one centralized location, eliminating the need for multiple apps. EnvisionWell empowers and enables sustainably healthy behaviors in all areas of wellness.
“This is not your average health or fitness app,” says Williams. “EnvisionWell provides information that communicates the true health of your body, mind, and spirit, based on more than just your height, weight, and BMI. It is data that allows you to decide for yourself how to best meet your personal health and wellness goals — whether it is reducing stress, improving or maintaining your physical fitness, practicing mindfulness, eating healthier, or other aspirations.”

Tom Piotrowski is a media teacher at Atlantic Institute of Technology in Atlantic County, NJ. He has spent most of his life around young people and knows the way they think and interact. In this episode, we have a frank conversation about the dangers social media can pose to our kids and what we, as parents can do about it. He recommends visiting the Center for Parents and Youth Understanding or cypu.org. The Center for Parent/Youth Understanding is a nonprofit organization committed to building strong families by serving to bridge the cultural-generational gap between parents and teenagers.
For a technology that is supposed to bring us together, it sure feels at times that the internet brings us further apart, especially for our teens and tweens. We have all heard the reports of how social media and other tech can lead to a variety of concerns about their mental health. For many teens, social media can become almost addictive. Social media can activate parts of the brain associated with pleasure and rewards causing them to want to use social media more. In addition, the pandemic has kept our kids separated as they spent more time learning on screens. All of it can add up to feelings of isolation, depression, and anxiety.
While social media is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family, it also is not the same as face-to-face interactions. Many teens get so wrapped up online checking their cell phones, that they often overlook the people right in front of them. This lack of communication in the real world can cause difficulties in friendships, dating, and other relationships.
While there are some positive aspects of social media, there are many pitfalls. We, as parents, as well as other adults in their lives, need to be aware of what our kids are doing online and how we can play a positive role in keeping them safe and helping them live happy, productive lives.

Throughout her twenties, she hopped from diet to exercise program to supplement to detox trying to lose the 20 pounds she gained after college, keep ’em off, and feel like the BEST version of herself, but she struggled to get there, but today, she is a happy, healthy mom of a new baby AND she has kept off those stubborn 20 pounds, and today she helps other people find the answers they are seeking. She says, "When clients come to me, permanently crossing “lose weight” off their to-do list feels like a distant dream, but after just a few weeks in either my group coaching community or 1:1 coaching program, they begin to realize that dropping those pesky pounds doesn’t have to be as difficult or miserable as they once thought!!

The decision to provide care for an aging parent or other loved one is not an easy one. Do they leave their home and go to an assisted living community? Do they maintain their independence and stay in their home with help of in-home care? It starts with accessing their needs and having a frank conversation. I talk with Kelly Marrero, owner, and president of Comfort Keepers serving South Jersey about the challenges of caring for an older parent and the benefits of providing an in-home caregiver. Comfort Keepers provides award-winning in-home care for seniors and adults who need assistance at home. According to Kelly, their expertly-trained home care aides let your loved one remain at home for as long as safely possible. Caregivers have one goal: enriching the lives of our clients and their families. They achieve this by maintaining their safety, well-being, and comfort as they continue to live independently. In-home care gives seniors freedom despite limited mobility, chronic conditions, and other age-related considerations.

Since the pandemic began, there has been a surge in depression, anxiety, loneliness, and substance use. This is not surprising when we consider the tremendous challenges associated with the COVID-19. It affected people who were already struggling before the pandemic as well as others who developed mental health issues. In this frank conversation, I talk with Jaime Angelini, Statewide Director of Disaster Services and Special Projects of The Mental Health Association in Atlantic County about the importance of taking care of our mental health, how it is affecting our kids, and the free services offered by her organization. We also discuss "Mental Health First Aid" a public education course that teaches us how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. I took the course with Jaime, and I believe it is something all of us should know.

Sleep and nutrition are two important aspects of a healthy life and they are closely linked to each other. What and when we eat affects our sleep, and the amount and quality of our sleep affects our hunger hormones and other aspects of our nutrition. Sleeping well can help to control your cravings and maintain a healthy weight. Some foods and minerals can make you feel sleepier and others may interfere with sleep.
In this episode, Registered and Licensed Dietician Tricia Silverman discusses these two basic and vital human functions, how they are related and what we can do to improve both our sleep and our nutrition.
Tricia Silverman, RD, MBA has been a fitness and nutrition enthusiast since she was a child. She is a registered and licensed dietitian, certified wellness coach, fitness instructor (certified as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor), and author.
