One-of-a-kind Bollywood showman, Prashant sings, dances & DJ's simultaneously with a simple agenda, to make people dance all night long. This charismatic performer instantly strikes a chord with audiences of all ages & nationalities. The interactive dance lessons cleverly disguised in his DJ set compel everybody to rock the dance floor, transforming any dance party into a full fledged Bollywood musical within minutes.
Prashant's work has been featured on TV-Asia, King5-TV, KGW-TV & newspapers such as The Oregonian, The Asian Reporter & Helena Air. Through his energetic performance, Prashant has moved masses across the United States, Panama, Costa Rica & India.
In January 2010, Prashant founded Jai Ho!, an inclusive monthly dance party in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco & San Diego. The innovative themes that set Jai Ho! apart are transforming the nightlife culture of the west coast bringing elements of Indian festive spirit (like Holi Colors, Dandiya Sticks etc) to the nightclub scene. Additionally, Prashant has been teaching dance for over 9 years now, his Portland based semi-professional dance troupe is as diverse as it gets, united by their love for all things Bollywood.
In his TEDx talk, this Patent holder & Cornell graduate shared his story of transformation from being an Intel engineer to now being celebrated as one the most exuberant Bollywood entertainers across the US. Prashant continues to inspire others to follow their dreams, one dance class/party at a time.
A soaring and beautiful single, “Nasha”, balances the earnest and heartfelt vocals of DJ Prashant with a lively and driving rhythm section that will be a poolside anthem and on club rotation for Summer 2018.

At 5 minutes, Nasha is an intricate mixture of funk and soul synths. Its Indian rhythmic meters, and top 40 sensibilities create a lush and sonically rich landscape for Prashants’ vocals to peer through and draw the audience in. The single has the fingerprints of a mid-90’s electronic club tune with a shimmering production value, whose cutting audio complemented by the crisp vocal performance. DJ Prashant is a wildly prolific and active member of the Portland Music Scene whose reach and influence has only grown through his constant touring of events including Jai Ho! Dance party where he has brought his creative mixture of musical influences to New Orleans, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.
