No new episode, but ALH isn’t retired.

It looks like Season 3 might just be two episodes, however.

Hoping to get Season 4 going when our recording areas are habitable again.

In the meantime, here’s the first post in the ALH, Dear series.

ALH’s Dear {Company} S1E1Dear Apple,

Why do you make it so hard to block people messaging us? On the Mac, you have to go Messages->preferences->iMessage->blocked, then click + to add a contact to block.

This makes no sense, why would I have a spam contact number I want to block in my contact list? I should be able to right-click and block them. I can right click and “Do not disturb” them, but that doesn’t seem like the same thing. So if I wanted to block them from the Mac, I would first need to add them to my contacts? That’s insane.

Things are slightly better on the iPhone, where all I have to do is:

  1. Go into their message.
  2. Tap their icon.
  3. Tap info.
  4. Tap their number.
  5. Click block.

I imagine there’s probably an easier way to do this, but I have no idea what it might be.

Best Regards,

ALH
