An incredible season deserves an incredible conversation. Today we have Eric Quimby, CCU Men's Soccer alum talking about the magical 2003 season and run to the Sweet 16 the Chants made. This team hosted the first ever NCAA post season game in Conway, had the top GPA in all of Men's Soccer that season, and had the National Player of the Year in Joseph Ngwenya. What a season it was and we had a great time going over all the great moments from that year. Enjoy!

Our first Hall of Famer on the show! Blair came to the Women's Soccer program in 2005 from North Myrtle Beach High and put the conference and region on notice. Her 17 goals her freshman year is still the CCU record and propelled her to become the highest tallying goal scorer in program history which still stands today. We talk that special freshman season but also get into the development of the program while she was on the field and since.

This week's episode covers the 2013 season of CCU Football with the current Voice of the Chanticleers that has seen nearly every snap played by CCU Football. Joe Cashion was the sideline reporter for this team and every team prior before heading into the booth to take over play-by-play duties. He saw everything up close and personal from this pivotal year in CCU history and takes us through some of the epic matchups and key moments from Coach Joe Moglia's second year in charge of CCU Football.

Part 1 of 2 of the story of 2 PGM (Professional Golf Management) majors walking onto and making a major impact on the CCU Men's Golf team. This was our first episode with 2 guests so we figured it would be best to have 2 golfers who know how to wait their turn. Shout out golf etiquette! Their stories about being under-recruited to champions at the division one level are inspiring. The partnership between PGM and CCU men's golf is strong once again and these two are a big part of that!

Next week we will talk to Coach Garren about his point of view of these two, and the program under his leadership so far!

Enjoy!

Today's guest is Jenna Orner - Jenna was a senior on the 2014 Volleyball team that won the Big South Championship in the HTC Center. It wasn't the first or last Championship in program history, but it was the first for current Head Coach Jozsef Forman and his staff - and the first in a string of 4 straight championships across 2 conferences. This was also a statement win over a Radford team that had swept the chants in the previous year's championship tilt.

Great insight from Jenna on this group of student-athletes and how Coach Forman has influenced her career in coaching.

Episode 3 and we are already switching it up! On Monday's we are going to hit some of the singular student-athletes, performances, moments, and records that need to be talked about at length - one's that may be part of a season we cover, or don't fit the theme of the main episodes on Thursdays.

The first moment I thought of when this new segment came to mind was DJ Williams 51 points vs. Troy this season for CCU Women's Basketball (don't worry, we will be talking about this team in a future episode at length). It was a magical night and one that no one in the building will soon forget. 51 points, vs. the top team in the league at the time, with NO turnovers. The best performance in ALL of College Basketball last year.

We got DJ on the pod on short notice so we thank her for that - her energy jumped through the headset during this convo and I hope you can enjoy as much as I did.
