Alex was born and raised in Brazil where he grew up risking his life on skateboards, go-carts, surfboards and motorbikes. He met and married Stephanie, a Canadian, and moved to Canada where he figured out how to turn the Great Lakes into a surfing playground. They have 3 wildly disciplined children, he practices a strong faith that keeps him optimistic, positive and a powerful force of a human being.
Candice Combdon trains at Barrie North Winter Tennis with coach Michele May and in a few short years has gone from being a complete 'non athlete' (her words) to the 6th ranked female Wheelchair Tennis player in Canada. With her sights set on representing her country at The Paralympics Candice has fallen in love with the sport of tennis and has formed a special bond with her coach.
Episode #5 I speak to my bud Steve 'Old School' Benson who started playing tennis in The Toronto Beaches in the 70's, riding the subway as an 11 year old to tournaments and becoming one of the nation's top ranked juniors on just 3 private lessons a year. He then went on to play Top Tier Division 1 NCAA Tennis at Georgia Southern University where he played against players like Paul Haarhuis former ATP #18 in singles and #1 in doubles.
