On the 20th episode of the Send N' It Podcast, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Jessica Smith, Director of Social Media for all things Mark Bell.   

Jessica shared with us her experience as a Collegiate Rower. She informed us of the physical and mental strength that it took to complete each race and what that experience taught her. After college, Jessica had a handful of work experiences that led her to Mark Bell's Super Training Gym, where she met Mark and was asked to join his team. Jess now manages all of the social media channels for Mark, which has completely immersed her into the world of fitness.   

Jess shares with us the struggles that she has personally faced with anxiety and depression and how she motivated herself to make lasting change. Recently, Jess has gone through a complete transformation. She shares with us how important nutrition is in every aspect of your life and that making simple changes can really allow you to see change - mentally and physically.

On today's episode of the Send N' It Podcast, we sat down with Carrie Willhoff, CEO of Racechick and the fastest female driver in the USCA.   

Carrie began drag racing at the age of sixteen. She grew up in Sonoma, CA, fifteen minutes away from the raceway. The time she spent there instilled the desire to win; it's what kept bringing her back. She's been competitively racing (and beating) the guys ever since.   

Carrie got into autocross by attending an event that her now husband, Rich was putting on through his Corvette Club. She fell in love with the sport and she and her husband continue to race together throughout the United States.   

After working in the fashion industry for over 10 years, Carrie founded Racechick in 2016. Racechick is a race apparel line designed and created for women, by women. Racechick recently launched "FIERCE" a full line of women's safety racing equipment that includes fire suits, gloves, shoes, and soon they will be releasing helmets.  

Her mission at Racechick is to empower and encourage the participation of women in the racing community, by providing quality apparel to all.

On Episode 14 of the Send N' It Podcast; we sat down with Darius Turner, Former NFL Football Player and the Founder of the Darius Turner Foundation.   

On this episode, Darius shares with us his upbringing in rural Mississippi and his move to Los Angeles, CA. He shares his journey from playing toss up tackle on concrete as a young boy, to the grid iron of the NFL. We talk about the moment that he was drafted to play for the Kansas City Chiefs and the unfortunate tolls that playing professional football had on his body. After three years playing for various teams, Darius made the tough decision to walk away from the world of professional football.   

Darius shares with us the paths he took in business and the success he generated through Insurance Sales. Through public speaking, Darius found his life's purpose. He founded the Darius Turner Foundation where he brings the skills he developed throughout his life to teach children about the importance of class room education, teamwork, and hard work.    

Darius explains the importance of mastering the basics - that greatness is achieved by strong performance in all the little things. Renee began her career in the Silicon Valley as a sales rep for Arrow Electronics in 1982, she then became the President and CEO of Eric Electronics in 1991. She successfully influenced the growth of Eric Electronics from 3 million dollars in annual revenue to a high of 53 million and a 17% EBITDA at her departure. Renee and her husband at the time, took a chance on a company out of Southern Oregon and she became the Founder and President of Blaze Technologies from 2001 to 2007. Through a series of unfortunate events, she found herself starting over and began her career in healthcare as a Professional Health Advocate in 2010.

Renee is now the Founder and CEO of Renee and Company and The Silver Lining Network and Directory. She serves families and primary care givers by coordinating and providing professional vetted local resources, education, support, and camaraderie through workshops and master mind classes.

On Episode 05 of the Send N' It Podcast, we sat down with Dan Smalley, Owner of Pure Metal Works Metal Fabrication out of Jackson, California.

Dan is a Jackson native. He made the decision to open up his own shop after working in various shops around California. We connect with Dan on Pure Metal Work's impressive build of his 1955 Twin-Turbo Diesel Crew Cab that he debuted at SEMA in 2019. The truck caught Sean's eye at Lone Star Throwdown in Texas this year.

Dan is a father of three alongside his wife Marisa that he met in middle school. Dan shares with us the sacrifices that came along in order to build his dream truck. He talks about the importance of consistency and hard work to get the job done - that if you stay consistent and focus on moving forward, you will be successful.

Currently, Dan is working on fabricating his own custom 1955-1959 crew cabs that will be available for purchase! Stay tuned!

Kyle Garrett's journey with Dutch Bros Coffee began in Grants Pass, Oregon in 2006 at the warehouse. He began working in the shops in 2007. After attending numerous grand opening events, he was able to glean knowledge from established Franchisees and leaders within the company. After working his way up, he opened his first location in Elk Grove, CA in 2015, and now has 3 additional stores, and 4 in the works.

Kyle talks about his success being reciprocated by his awareness of those around him. In this episode, he shares the importance of paying attention and learning from people that have been where you want to go. Kyle's most recent venture is in the world of commercial Real Estate where his vision and goals are limitless.

He also connected with us about his health journey, his daily routine, and the importance of being in peak physical condition to be able to perform at the highest level mentally in his work.

In September 2018, he was selected to be one of only twenty-one recipients of the prestigious Aspen Ascend Fellowship from The Aspen Institute.

Kwame serves on the Board of Regents for North Central University, the board of directors for two tech companies, Bandwagon & Win-Win, the Advisory Board for the Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Sacramento State University and is a mentor for both the AT&T Aspire Accelerator & Founder Institute.
