Her ex, who was hot and cold during their relationship, recently reached out, sparking old feelings. How should she decide between the stable guy and the ex with undeniable chemistry?
Jean-eva discusses:
Question #2: Managing Jealousy in a Healthy Relationship Our second question comes from a listener who admits to feeling jealous when her boyfriend talks to other women, despite his openness and transparency. She acknowledges her jealousy stems from past experiences of infidelity. How can she overcome these feelings and maintain a healthy relationship with her boyfriend?
Jean-eva explores:
Question #3: Affection and Its Impact on Relationships The third question comes from a listener who feels her affectionate nature might be scaring off potential partners. After hitting it off with a guy, she noticed a shift in his attitude after they slept together on their fourth date. She wonders if her culture's emphasis on affection might be affecting her dating experiences with Canadian men.

This week we welcome back our men's dating coach Sean Aucoin to The Book of Love Podcast. This segment is for our gentlemen listeners and those ladies that would like the male perspective to love and dating. It wasn't until I came to understand how men think, what they value in partnership and how they show love that I was able to transform my dating life. In this episode Sean takes the time to answer your questions as if you were in a dating coaching session with him. If you are interested in learning more about working 1 on 1 with Sean, feel free to email him at sean.moderndayhitch@gmail.com or take advantage of a FREE 15 minute phone consultation with Sean to learn more: www.bookoflovecanada.ca/coachingformen
This week we have another Hotline. We answer three questions from our followers. Q #1: Hello Jean-eva, I need help, my last partner of seven years was a narcissist. It has been three years since that relationship and I started dating six months ago. I met somebody really great but I think it may be too good to be true. I’m not seeing any signs of him being a narcissist but it is going so well. I have this overwhelming feeling to end it. Am I being crazy?
Q #2: I went on the best first date last week, he’s so handsome, I was so attracted to him. I felt instant chemistry and we agreed on almost everything we discussed. He walked me to my car and gave me a hug. I said I had a great time and we should do it again and he said me too, let’s do it again! and then we went our separate ways. When I got home I texted him and said I had a great time, thank you so much for dinner, and I haven’t heard from him since. Did I mess it up by sending that text? Did I seem too eager? Also, why would you say let’s do it again and then not reach out and plan something, it’s so rude. I don’t understand, we had so much chemistry
Q #3: I’m an autistic adult and I have a really hard time online dating, I find first dates hard because conversations with me are different from conversations with a neurotypical person and I can never get on a second date. So I added the fact that I’m autistic to my online dating profile, but my matches went down to almost nonexistent. It was the Hinge prompt that said “something you should know about me” and I said “I’m autistic” almost zero matches then I took it off my profile but would tell someone after a few texts and then they would disappear, what should I do? I’m almost about to give up.

This episode we bring on 'amateur matchmaker' Danielle based in Moncton New Brunswick. Host of Never Not Talking Podcast, we indirectly connected through her podcast and connected on love and connecting people. She tells her story of becoming a matchmaker, and how the journey has continued. We discuss what holds most people back in dating, and how to prevent blocks and habits from holding us back from amazing connections. We discuss the importance of informal matchmakers, nosey aunties and the local busy body. There aren't nearly enough of them and we want to encourage everyone to continue to matchmake their friends!
This week we welcome Alexandra Harbushka. Her life was sent into upheaval when she received a call from her doctor diagnosing her with herpes. After coming to terms with her diagnosis she launched into sharing her story with people just like her, to let them know that their feelings are normal, natural and that they are not victims. She founded Life with Herpes, and online community consisting of: Podcast - https://open.spotify.com/show/6AGCqIUk5tC4E1VhDTzG92 Website - https://www.lifewithherpes.com/ Tiktok - https://www.tiktok.com/@lifewithherpes Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/lifewithherpes/ YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCw-XqkVAvdl4QFGUzDcZEZg All dedicated to shattering the stigma of living with herpes. This episode covers all questions you may have on dating as a single with herpes but also how to react when someone discloses that they have herpes to you.
Our fourth and final part of our series on attachment styles. We talk to a woman who resonates with an avoidant attachment style. We discussed qualities that resonate with her, which was very eye opening. Becoming a brick wall, not being vulnerable, being the busiest person in the world and canceling dates last minute. Filling your calendar so full, no romantic connection can ever have the time to truly get to know you. Are you guilty of this? What did you think of this attachment style series? Did you learn something about yourself, or even someone you've dated in the past? If this is your first introduction to attachment styles, I recommend reading the book 'Attached' found at any major book store or Amazon.
Our third episode of our four part series on attachment styles. We talk to a single woman who has done the work to move from an insecure attachment to a secure attachment. Every journey from insecure to secure is different, but it always takes time and hard work. Majority of the population is securely attached, but as single individuals dating, we tend to run into a lot of insecure attached individuals, because an insecure attachment does a great job keeping someone single. I learned something new with this guest, and how our brain reacts when we are triggered in life. We also discuss how to teach our brain not to react when being triggered. If there is one word that can describe this episode, it would be EMPATHY. If this is your first introduction to attachment styles, I recommend reading the book 'Attached' found at any major book store or Amazon.
Our second episode of our four part series on attachment styles. We talk to another single man who resonates with an anxious attachment style when dating. We get an insider look into the mindset of a man who is dating while anxiously attached. We will hear stories of neediness, clinginess, putting women on a pedestal, and what I call the "disney effect". This is where anxiously attached individuals specifically will meet someone and then quickly create the story of what their fairy tail life with that person will look like, while that person is still a basic stranger. Media and culture shows women doing this, but men do it too! We are still looking for someone with an avoidant attachment for episode three of this four part series. If you, or someone you know want to anonymously join us on the Book of Love Podcast to share your story, please email me at jean-eva@bookoflovecanada.ca If this is your first introduction to attachment styles, I recommend reading the book 'Attached' found at any major book store or Amazon.
Introducing the first episode of our four part series on attachment styles. We start with a single man who resonates with a fearful avoidant attachment style. Avoidant men often get labeled as f&%k boys, narcissists or just jerks. Our guest describes what is going on behind the scenes of dating as a man with a fearful avoidant attachment. He mentions one scenario that described a lot of my personal relationships with men, and it was very powerful to hear the other perspective. Join us for this vulnerable episode from a self aware man.

I'm so happy to be back. Huge apologies for the impromptu four month hiatus, but I'm excited to be back and excited to answer these questions on our Book of Love Hotline. If you are interested in learning more about the Compound Dating Technique community created in January, feel free to follow the following link to learn more: bookoflovecanada.ca/cdt Questions answered on today's hotline: Q#1 : jean-eva I need help. I am a woman in my early 40’s and I have created an amazing life for myself. I have a high paying career, my own house and car, a great group of friends and I am very happy. My issue is, when I date, I can’t find men at my ‘level’. I meet a lot of great guys, but I have yet to meet someone who makes the same amount of money as me or more (200k+). I have dated men in the past that make less than me and it usually turns into an issue. What should I do? Q # 2 : I’ve been seeing this woman for about 3 months. She is my dream woman and I can’t believe she is interested in me. Since we started dating we have seen each other about once a week. I like to put together fun dates and we typically spend Saturday night and Sunday morning together. Around the 6 week mark she started asking me if we could see each other more, or if I could maybe text her more throughout the week. She says she feels disconnected from the time we aren’t together. I’m super busy, and don’t always have time to text, plus I really don’t like texting. If I’m being honest I’m also afraid to be spending more time with her. What if we spend too much time together and she gets bored or annoyed by me. I’ve been told by exes that I can be pretty annoying. What should I do? Q # 3: Dear Jean-eva, I’ve been dating a new guy for a few months now and things seem to be going really well. So well, in fact, that I’m starting to get worried that this is the best I’m going to get and I’m going to miss out because I don’t feel ready to commit. I’ve been hurt before and I don’t want to relive that. How do I tell if this is the right person for me? I don’t want to string him along, but I don’t want to break things off either. Help me!
What do you think of this advice? Do you agree? Do you disagree? Feel free to share, I would love to hear your thoughts.
Love, Jean-eva
Hello my amazing Book of Love listeners. This episode is an ode to you. At the end of the year, I was experiencing major burnout. So I took the last two weeks reflecting on my year as a matchmaker. I took some time to reflect on all the couples that were created and wanted to share their unique stories that give us hope for 2023. Each couple taught me a lesson, but these specific couples have unique journeys that created a unique mindset to enter 2023 with.

This week is a special episode! We have created a new segment called Sean's Corner. Our male dating coach Sean Aucoin takes over the mic to answer questions from both men and women from the male perspective.
He answers questions such as: 1. It's official, being called a creep is my worst nightmare, how do I approach women without being creepy? 2. We had an amazing date, but he said there was no romantic connection. What the heck?! 3. Why are women so flakey online dating? 4. How can you find a man who wants to date instead of just getting laid? 5. If he sends reactions to my stories, is that a sign of interest? If you have any questions you would like answered on the next Sean's Corner, be sure to email Sean at sean.moderndayhitch@gmail.com

This week we sat down with Saskia Nelson, Founder of Hey Saturday, the future of Dating profile photos. Sometimes we think that our photos just need to show people what we look like, but Saskia and I discuss how it also needs to tell a story. Photos are the currency of the dating world, and yet it is what we spend the least time getting right when dating. The online world is really busy and standing out, visually, on dating apps is becoming more and more challenging. But having good quality profile pictures, in the first instance, is a really good way to drive up engagement with your dating app profile. People are drawn to good quality profile photos over poor quality ones, without a doubt. Having good quality dating app photos also shares the message that you value yourself and that finding a partner is important to you. Both of which are attractive qualities to people who are looking for love on dating apps. This episode is pure tips and tricks of online dating profiles. If you aren't getting the quality of matches you deserve online, this is the episode for you! To learn more about Saskia and her business, check out her website at https://www.heysaturday.co/ and you can find her on all the socials at @heysaturday.
We enjoyed our workshop last weekend so much, we wanted to share it with our podcast listeners. Since bringing a male dating coach onto the J-E Matchmaking team, I learned a lot about the male mindset and psyche when dating. Our men's dating coach Sean and I hostend this free webinar to give our single ladies some insider information about how men think, what they want and translate what they say. We covered topics such as: - someone's ick, is another person's yum. - Why are men so intimidated by independent women? - How long should you wait to have sex with someone you're dating? - What are men looking for on a first date?
This week's episode of the book of love hotline follows a similar theme. Tribal vetting. What happens when the people you're dating don't get along with your friends and family. What do you do? Question # 1 - Trying to get my boyfriend out to a family event or friend's birthday is like pulling teeth. If he does come out, he is grumpy and doesn't have a good time, which means I won't have a good time. What should I do? Question # 2 - my friends don't like anyone I date. So now I don't bring anyone I date around my friends, and now they complain that I don't make time for them. Question # 3 - My girlfriend told me I was the one and tried to break up with me two months ago. But we still hang out, see each other about once a week and act like boyfriend and girlfriend. What should I do? If you would like to check out any of the upcoming training or events J-E Matchmaking has available, visit my website at jematchmaking.com
In this episode, we look back to episodes 2 and 3, how to be a high value man and woman.

This week we welcome back Haley, Sarah and Sean for the Dating Club! Our main topic this week is online dating and profiles. Join us as we discuss our swiping styles, review a few profiles out there and answer one of the best Am I The Asshole's! "I’m using a dating app currently and matched with this cute girl. The only issue was that she had on her profile “I don’t want to date men who hold this viewpoint.” This is a viewpoint I hold (don’t want to be detailed about what it was but it was a social justice type thing.)
She messaged me first and I responded that I held that viewpoint, and maybe she should be a little more open about who she dates because clearly she liked something about me and she’s just shutting me down right off the bat about one thing. She called me a pretentious ass and unmatched me. My friends are split on the issue. Some think I should have immediately unmatched, but others think I didn’t do anything wrong because I was just trying to broaden someone’s worldview. Am I the asshole for messaging her?"
What do you think? If you're interested to learn more about J-E Matchmaking services, the first step is to book a 15 minute phone consultation at jematchmaking.com/services. Here we will discuss you, what you're looking for, pricing and the dating plan for you.
This week we welcome our new male dating coach Sean Aucoin, a modern day Hitch! We discuss his personal journey into becoming a dating coach and how it all started with a book given to him for Christmas, "Dating for Dummies". After begrudgingly reading the book, he realized that dating doesn't always come natural, it's an art! He because fascinated with the psychology and human behaviour around dating. After devouring any dating material he could get his hands on, he decided to take his knowledge and real life experience to teach others. We discuss if the spark is enough, the value of seeing a dating coach, what is missing in dating coaching for men, what we are excited to provide to the men and women of Halifax, and tips and tricks to dating! If you are interested in working with Sean, either through a boot camp or 1 on 1 coaching, book in a free 15 minute phone consultation through the link below. Jematchmaking.com/services
This week we welcome Confidence Coach and podcast host of Self(ish) Confidence, Jess Clerke. Self confidence is a super power...but what if you don't have any? It can be hard to show up as your true self. When we go out, or even scrolling on the couch, it's easy to get trapped in the comparison game - which makes it even harder to be your beautiful self. Self(ish) Confidence is about finding your confidence, shining your light and taking action towards a life you’re obsessed with. We discuss her own confidence journey, myths and misconceptions about confidence, what it looks like working with a confidence coach, and the best first step to take to build your confidence. When asked of singles who are dating what makes someone so attractive, confidence is their first answer. Can confidence be seen in pictures and on profiles? Jess and I discuss what this looks like. This week's episode of the book of love hotline takes all the hottest questions and conversations that I have had over the last couple of months in regards to dating. Buckle up, this is the no bs version of the hotline. Question # 1 - What to do if I'm dating someone who is still living with their ex? Question # 2 - Why is it that those I'm attracted to aren't attracted to me, but those I'm not attracted to are so into me? Question # 3 - Don't allow the lowest common denominator to affect your dating life. If you would like to check out any of the upcoming training J-E Matchmaking has available, visit my website at jematchmaking.com
This week we welcome Rikki Dymond all the way from Calgary, Alberta! In this episode we will be discussing the power of feminine energy. As a woman who lives in her masculine pretty much all day, I've always had a hard time explaining the power of feminine energy which connected me to Rikki and her TikTok's @rikkidymond. Did you know that nagging is actually a masculine act? I sure didn't! In this episode we define feminine & masculine energy and why the polarity between the two is so attractive when dating. My favourite part of this conversation is how the feminine needs praise and the masculine needs admiration and respect. So often we want to show love by how we feel love, but this is another example of how we need to show our partner love by how they feel loved. We also include tips on how to move into your feminine before going into the dating world. We didn't have enough time to really get into the depths of this topic and so Rikki and I will be going live on TikTok this Friday night (March 11th) at 9:00 pm. Don't forget to register on TikTok or put it in your calendar to join us.
The week we welcome Dr Lise Janelle Human Potential Expert & Elite Mindset Coach Transforming Lives Since 1989. It is her life’s mission to help as many people as she can to experience the joy, love and fulfillment that comes from living connected with their hearts. As human beings we can live our lives through three main modes: our mind, our emotions and our heart. Most people are unaware that they are actually living from their emotions, creating the thoughts that then drive the emotions even more, being stuck in an unending cycle that takes them further and further away from inner peace, love, happiness and true life success. In this episode, we discuss your first love, and how that impacts relationships for the rest of our lives. Five very powerful tips when choosing your life partner. The importance of love, gratitude, inspiration and wisdom in our lives. And what living in your mind, emotions and heart looks like when out dating. For more information on Dr. Lise Janelle and all her work, you can visit her website at drlisejanelle.com.

This week is a special episode. We recorded a FREE webinar for women a few weeks ago about what is holding us back from dating. It was such an amazing piece of content, I wanted to share it with all of you. We asked each of the 77 women attending, what they think was holding them back from dating. There were 3 main themes: people not meeting their standards, negativity and time. We discuss the difference between "picky" and having "standards". How negative thoughts will actually repel what we want and attract what we don't want. How to find time to date. Feeling dating burnout and how to find the energy to date properly. If you're looking for some help in the dating world, always feel free to book in a coaching session with me at jematchmaking.com/services
This week we are joined by your hype girl Meagan Cole, founder of Rise up Shine Bright. Confidence is something she has always struggled with. She has let fear, doubt and scarcity mindset hold her back from taking action in her life. Often we need reassurance, a reminder and something physical to empower us to be that version of ourselves that we desire to be. We discuss confidence, limiting beliefs and even dove into Meagan's story of meeting her partner. It was personal growth that allowed her to realize her current relationship wasn't right, and it took leaving that relationship to open her life up to the blessings she has now. I just got my ticket for her self discovery event on November 13th, and if you too would like to join, you can find all the details at riseupshinebright.ca
This week on the Book of Love HOTLINE your local matchmaker and dating coach Jean-eva Dickie went through our huge list of questions on my TikTok Q&A , emails and instagram to pull out main themes I've seen this month.
We answer the questions:
Q1. How long should I wait to see if chemistry grows with someone I've been on a few dates with.
Q2. How do I get better at setting boundaries in person?
Q3. How do I end a date when I want it to be over and not when it naturally ends?
Q4. What do you think of large age gaps when dating?
I also happened to fit in a quick story of one of the worst pre screening phone calls I had with a potential client.
Hope to see you all soon!

On this week's chapter of the Book of Love Podcast, I speak on one of my early relationships. I was in second year university, and the most handsome man in school set his sights on me. Out of all the women, he chose me. There is just one problem. My best friend has had a huge crush on him for months. Out of all her crushes, he is her # 1. What should I do? Is no man worth betraying a friend? Or is it just a crush and who cares? Stay tuned until the very end for the 3 main lessons I learned from this experience.
This week on the Book of Love podcast, we sat down with Certified Relationship Coach Liane to talk about preparing for a relationship when we are single, navigating early stage relationships, and maintaining long term relationships. We discuss how the skills we have to develop great friendship, family, and co-worker relationships can be used for romantic relationships as well. Our main topic is communication and how important it is, and how practice is key. We aren't always born with the ability and skills to communicate, but it is so necessary when choosing and maintaining a healthy relationship. The books we discuss can be found at Jematchmaking.com/books. Feel free to follow Liane at: https://lupincoast.coach/ IG: @lupin.coast
Today's episode is a new series called "The Dating Club"! I have hand selected four singles from all different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives on dating. We bring them together to discuss a different topic in the world of dating. In this episode, Haley, Sean, Sarah, Daniel and myself discuss the hot topic of ghosting. What is ghosting? What isn't ghosting? Why have we ghosted? Have we been ghosted? What to say instead of ghosting? Join us as we argue and agree, but mostly enlighten each other with another's perspective.
This week on the Book of Love HOTLINE your local matchmaker and dating coach Jean-eva Dickie went through our huge list of questions on my TikTok Q&A , emails and instagram to pull out main themes I've seen this month. We answer the questions: Q1. Online dating - After texting a week or so, and planning a meet up - they say they need more time bc they aren’t %100 ready and over their ex…. Q2. 5 dates in and I’m catching feelings. He says he’s guarded but his profile says he wants a relationship. Do I continue to back off & wait for him? Assume he’s not into me?
Q. 3 How would you reply when you get stood up and ghosted by them and they hit you up 2 weeks later and pretend nothing happened? Would you even reply?
Q. 4 I am so over online dating! It just doesn’t have the quality of people I’m looking for on there. But the thing is I’m introverted. I really don’t have the time or the energy to go out and meet people organically to date, what do I do?

This week on the Book of Love HOTLINE your local matchmaker and dating coach Jean-eva Dickie went through our huge list of questions on our TikTok Q&A to answer some of your heavy questions that we could never respectfully answer in a one minute TikTok video: 1. Why does a man pursue you, go on dates with you to only say they don’t want a relationship, yet they aren’t necessarily trying to hook up with you? 2. What’s the difference between ‘casual’ and ‘taking things slow’? What does it mean when they say they want to ‘take it slow and let things happen naturally and see how it goes’. We have been seeing each other for a month. 3. I have a huge savior complex and naturally gravitate towards people who I think I can save/help/change! Why do I do this and how do I stop? Followed by a BONUS question asked during our TikTok live we did at the same time.

This week we are joined by the lovely Maureen from Ontario. We had the opportunity to work together in our dating intensive boot camp, and she was such a delight, I couldn't wait to sit down and hear her story. We discuss her experience from our boot camp, her perception of the dating world now and she shares a story about a romantic Vancouver evening. We titled this podcast 'See the man through the beard', as an example of some of the superficial things people are using to filter those that they are dating, and how in the long run, none of that matters! To join our virtual boot camp starting this Wednesday, follow the link below jematchmaking.com/events
It has become more prevalent today for young people to decide children are not in the cards for them. Does this choice make it harder to find a partner that wants the same and has the same values? True it reduces the pool of people to choose from, but I believe if your family values align than so does compatibility in other areas. This week we are joined by my good friend Meagan Swanson to talk about her decision to never have kids, and how friends, family and society has reacted to her choice. If you haven't registered yet, join us tonight for our FREE webinar where we share the secrets of texting when dating. www.jematchmaking.com/events
This week on the Book of Love podcast, we pull from our archives to focus on mindset, motivation and enjoyment around dating, love and early relationships. We had 33 women go through the entire 5 week free seminar in the spring, and I have seen some amazing results over the last couple of weeks or what a little hope and motivation can do for someone. I opened up the 5 weeks with a little reality check on online dating, what we can expect from the dating world and how setting smaller goals will create better results.
To follow up this motivation, we have two 3 month dating intensive boot camps coming up on the 14th and the 21st. To grab your spot, follow the link below: jematchmaking.com/events

Today's episode will take you into my life, and the story of my big love with a man that had a gypsy soul. Every single dalliance, date and relationship in my life have been huge lessons and it was up to me to either listen & learn or ignore & repeat. I met him during my Calgary chapter. This was my first relationship where I was a fully actualized woman before meeting this man, and so it was a relationship filled with love, comfort and respect. Ultimately we didn't work out, not because of lack of attraction or chemistry, but from lack of compatibility.
To get your ticket to one of our July events, or to save your spot for one of our upcoming in person, or virtual 3 month dating intensive bootcamps, follow this link: www.jematchmaking.com/events
This week we welcome a dad of four, trying to find love. Glen Ocsko, writer of the 'A Dating Dad' blog joins us from across the pond as you can tell by his beautiful accent. Married with children at a young age, Glen was ready to grow old with his wife and beautiful family, until a teenaged wrench was thrown into his plans. We discuss his story, the dating coaching available for men and how most of it doesn't apply to just normal, kind guys. He talks from the perspective of a divorced man whose life went to shit, wanting to pick himself up to do better in the future. Men aren't expected to ask for help. They're expected to know what to do all of the time, faking it till they make it, and asking for help is considered a weakness. Glen wants to remove that stigma and speak to men that it's ok to ask for help when we are having a hard time. To check out his blog, including the one we spoke about on this episode, follow this link www.adatingdad.com.
This is a unique episode. During our 5 week webinar series in the spring, we had the amazing Serena Haines join us for an evening of sex, boundaries and Q&A. I love how Serena and I disagree and agree on the topic of sex while dating, We discuss hot topics like, how long to wait to be intimate when dating and how to set boundaries early and later on in relationships. Mostly I was so excited for her to share what feminine and masculine energy means to her, and how it creates a beautiful polarity between two people. We stop this episode at 45 minutes, but Serena and I continued on for another 45 minutes answering everyone's questions. Be sure not to miss our next 5 week series in the fall! To follow Serena, or to check out some of her upcoming workshops, visit her website at www.serenahaines.com. Stay safe out there everyone!
This week we welcome the lovely Lily onto the Book of Love Podcast. Lily was a top matchmaker at the largest firm in the U.S. After matching hundreds, she realized that with coaching, women could become their OWN expert matchmaker to find better dates for themselves than anyone else ever could. Now as the founder of Date Brazen, she’s helped hundreds of women around the world build badass dating lives that lead to extraordinary relationships through unconventional coaching and transformative community. We discuss how online dating and external forces almost gaslight us in our dating lives and what being picky actually looks like. Have you been told you are "too much"? Let's unpack this term, and how we shouldn't mute ourselves to find partnership. Dating coaching is such a powerful tool. Lily and I shared a similar story where we would be blind to the person we are currently with without this coaching, and I know we both feel so blessed that we went through the growth journey we did.

This is part 2 of our new series taking you on my journey in love and life. Every single dalliance, date and relationship in my life have been huge lessons and it was up to me to either listen & learn or ignore & repeat. This week we talk about my experience with a narcissist. I met this man almost five years ago when I moved home to Halifax, Nova Scotia from Calgary, Alberta. I met him at Durty Nelly's, and we had one year of adventure, travel and romance; and two years of drama. Little did I know, he had narcissistic tendencies, and I discuss the damage that being in a romantic relationship with a narcissist had on me. Since this relationship I have fully educated myself on the traits of narcissism and what to keep an eye out for. Currently I'm using this to keep narcissists out of the Book of Love, and away from my clients, but this episode will share some of those red flags for all you singles to keep an eye out for. p.s. these traits apply to both men and women For more inspiration on how to get back out there again, register for our 5 week FREE webinar series. We are on week 4 with Brittany Hachey talking about Enoughness. If you missed last week's webinar, don't worry you can join anytime! Register through this link. www.jematchmaking.com/events.

Welcome to our new series talking about my journey in love. Every single dalliance, date and relationship in my life have been huge lessons and it was up to me to either listen & learn or ignore & repeat. Today's chapter we start with my first boyfriend, the skater boy Brad, and the adorable first relationship we created. We also go into the biggest lesson I learned, fortunately early on, in relationships and love. The grass is very rarely greener in an enticing other relationship. This weekend with J-E Matchmaking, we sent out seven couples and all seven want second dates! Get yourself into the Book of Love (our matchmaking database) to open yourself up to matchmaker designed dates! Follow the link below to book in Step # 1: 1 Hour Phone Consultation.
This week's chapter we sit down with Jon Birger, author of 'Date-onomics' and his newest book, 'Make Your Move' to discuss why dating has become a lopsided numbers game, and why dating has become harder for educated women than educated men. Have we thought about how the 'Me Too' movement has influenced today's dating culture, and how we need to adjust our dating techniques accordingly? Listen to this episode to learn how you too can make your move.

Welcome to our new Book of Love HOTLINE series. Here your local matchmaker and dating coach Jean-eva Dickie jumps on a live call with singles to answer all their dating questions! Today's episode we were joined by two lovely singles with two very different questions. When should we talk about being exclusive, how to prepare and moderate our expectations for a first date and what it looks like being an over-thinker in dating. Our second guest we talked about comparing our lives to those around us, and why our life isn't moving along based on our desired timeline. To be the next caller, send me an email to jematchmaking@gmail.com, please do not include the question you're going to ask, and we will set up a time for our coaching call. I'm so excited to open up the Book of Love Hotline to all of you!
This week's chapter we sit down with the lovely Melissa to talk about the modern dating world, and what it is like to date when you have MS. Melissa educates us on what MS is, what it looks like, and how it is different for everyone! When I first sat down with Melissa my vision of MS was taken from my cousin's experience, and then all of those preconceived notions were blown out of the water as I got to know her. Not everyone needs a walking aid, not everyone is in a wheelchair, and not everyone has symptoms. This was such a humbling interview, and I hope this Chapter gives all you listeners some perspective that your dating experience isn't that limited. Melissa says, don't give up and keep going. Just put yourself out there. If you're going to judge me, judge be. Bye!
This week Brittany returns to the Book of Love podcast to discuss one of the greatest fallacies of our generation. That love and relationships are easy. Society has taken an over romanticized view of relationships and put it in the forefront of our minds. As a result, we have been treating relationships, the one last sacred institution in this world, as disposable. What if I told you that was wrong? What if I told you that real love is hard, but that on the other side of the challenge lies growth, beauty and depth? Brittany takes us on a raw deep dive of what it means to show up, build foundation and experience personal and relationship growth simultaneously, while standing firmly in your commitment to love another without giving in to our fight or flight response. This isn’t to say that you should never leave an unhealthy relationship, but rather having the awareness of what is a point of growth and what is a non-negotiable. Grab a seat, bring an open mind, and prepare to look at your relationships through a new lens.

I often get asked, how did you get so good at coaching singles? Over the last two years, I have spent at least three hours a day, almost every day reading, devouring, watching, listening and teaching myself all aspects of dating, love and heartbreak. Although this has taught me the technical skills to coach singles, it is my past and current experiences that have allowed me to relate, and empathize with almost every person who walks through my door. I have been through it all! Tune in to learn more about me and how I got into the love industry!
Hello everyone! It's your local dating coach & matchmaker, Jean-eva Dickie. For the majority of us the slightest mental block is holding us back from finding that amazing romantic partner that is perfect for us. Just a little mindset shift, and coaching can make all the difference! On this podcast, I'll be sitting down and chatting with single men and women to discuss their experiences in the dating world and how they can improve moving forward.
