The great John Maxwell says that "experience is not the best teacher, evaluated experience is the best teacher." In this podcast, you will hear Michael's "evaluated experiences" from his personal life. Whether from the Bible or a personal story, you will be entertained, encouraged, and inspired!
This is an excerpt from the book I am writing titled “All In: How To Keep & Grow Your Relationship with God While In College - Prelude: What Inspired This Book”
After 6 months, I have completed the first draft of my book subtitled, "How to Keep and Grow Your Relationship with God While in College."
This has been a topic that has been on my heart for a while, and I'm super excited to be 99.9% done with the first draft.
The current issue is this....what should I title the book?!
I have recently thought about naming it "Enviable," but not many people seem to like this word as a title.
I share my thoughts behind this idea, while also revealing a new title idea that I just come up with this morning!

This has been a dream I've had since I was in my 2nd year of pharmacy school.
Many people told me that once I started working and making money, the desire I had to go to medical school would go away...but it never did.
It took a leap of faith, but I so thankful that I took the risk and applied..because God worked it all out.
In this episode, I just share the story of when I first had the idea of going to medical school..and the short version of how it all worked out.

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:12 that 'indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.."
I don't know anybody that LIKES being persecuted..
Most people, myself included, enjoy being cool, friendly, and non-confrontational with everybody!
The reality is, we can never please everybody.. especially when we’ve made a decision to live our life according to the Word of God.
If the Bible says that all that desire to live a Godly life WILL (not might), suffer persecution.. then instead of trying to avoid it, we must learn how to handle it. Here are 3 ways. Listen to find out!

According to Dr. Maxwell Maltz, Plastic Surgeon and author of the book "Psycho-Cybernetics," your self-image is your own "concept of the 'sort of person [you] are'".. and that "all your actions, feelings, behaviors -- even your abilities -- are always consistent with this self-image."
This proves the Bible (not that it needed to be proven anyway), but this shows that Proverbs 23:7 is true when it said, '..as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.."
How you view yourself as a child of God is important..
Are you convinced you have to struggle the rest of your life? Are you convinced that nothing will ever work out?
These are wrong views to have as a victorious, child of GOD!

When Jesus was teaching His disciples how to pray, He told them to pray like this..
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. ' Matthew 6:9-10
He taught them to pray that the Father's will be done on earth as it is in heaven, but what does that mean?
It means that if God could have it His way, He would want Earth to be perfect with no death, no sickness or disease, no poverty...like it is in Heaven right now.
ALL of those things listed (death, sickness, poverty, etc) came as a result of Sin. Prior to that, Adam and Eve lived in total bliss in the Garden of Eden.
What is one of the main reasons Jesus came to die?
He came to reverse the curse of sin that came on mankind when they sinned!

Your company (the people you regularly hang out with), is important. The Bible says that "bad company corrupts good character."
Three main forms of bad company you could have as a Christian are friends that don't go to church, a boy friend or girl friend that doesn't go to church, or worst of all, compromising Christian friends.
Compromising Christians are people that live a double life, half in the world and half in church. People like this cause new believers to stumble and fall, and are very problematic in the church.
The Bible says..
““I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!” Revelation 3:15-16 NLT
God doesn't want us to be "half in and half out," He desires for us to "go all in" for Him! .

This podcast was launched on March 18, 2020. Since then we have had 3,314 plays and a gradual increase in audience size every year.
As I reviewed the analytics to the podcast, and looked back at all the episodes I've recorded, I was able to sum it up into 3 categories: Faith, Medicine, and Lifestyle.
Faith is a major part of who I am. My relationship with God defines every part of me, so no matter what, you will always hear about that on this podcast.
I am a licensed pharmacist, and I love medicine. So often times you will hear me talk about this or designate entire episodes to thoughts concerning these topics.
On top of these things, I enjoy filling you guys in on my life by giving you life updates and thoughts on relative topics.

Many times when I’m out and about, and I have the opportunity to share about Jesus, I ask people..
“If you were to die tonight, do you know without a shadow of a doubt you would go to Heaven?”
They’ll typically respond by saying, “I hope so!” or “Well, you can NEVER really know for sure right?”
Is this true though? Can we REALLY not know for sure whether we’re going to Heaven?
The Bible says, 'I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may KNOW that you have eternal life. ' 1 John 5:13
You can know for sure..If you're unsure or maybe you know for sure that you're NOT going to Heaven.. give this a listen.

This year, I've gone the longest I've ever gone without giving up on a new habit or life change. This is the 49th day of the year, and I'm still going strong!
A major part of this has to do with the morning routine I implemented this year.
Previously, I would constantly feel unaccomplished and unproductive, because there were so many things I wanted to do, but never did.
I would know I wanted to, but for some reason never made time to do them. This caused me to constantly beat myself up all day.
After developing this morning routine, I feel so accomplished and fulfilled before 7:30AM each day! It has changed my life (you can ask my wife).
In this episode I simply share my morning routine (to give you an example), and also share a secret tip that I learned from the book "Atomic Habits" by James Clear that has kept me going, even on days where I missed it.

This is the most simple, yet most misunderstood, truth about God there is!
The greatest trick the Devil ever did, was to convince the world that he doesn't exist.
Though we don't focus on or overemphasize His power (he's defeated), it is also important not to be ignorant of his devices, as the Apostle Paul explained. (2 Corinthians 2:11)

Intermittent fasting (IF) is the hot new "diet" that is out there. Simply put, intermittent fasting is a pattern of eating where you systematically starve the body long enough to trigger fat burning.

Spiritual (Biblical) Fasting is something that many religions, especially Christians, participate in yearly.
Spiritual Fasting is abstaining from food for a spiritual purpose. In other words, spiritual fasting is not simply abstaining from food for dietary purposes, but is to be a time of consecration to God combined with prayer.
There are many examples of fasts in the Bible (one of them NOT including a social media or cell phone fast .. will have to listen to the episode to hear more :)
In this episode I will share the basics about both types of fasting, share the differences, and briefly give some benefits of both. These topics are very extensive and in this episode I barely scratched the surface.

This year, I decided to evaluate my life and begin to make changes. I decided that I'm going to be intentional with my life; my time, my goals, my friends, my life.
I also decided that this year, I'm not going to end it with regrets. Anything and everything I have in my heart to do, I'm going to go after it this year!

Many people (including myself), have a goal of reading the Bible in a year, every year. However, what is the percentage of people who actually complete this goal? Very few.
The problem isn't the goal, the problem is the system or habits of the individually attempting to accomplish that goal.
Winners and losers have the same goals... so what is the difference between the results of the two? Their systems, routines, and habits.

I just finished reading "30 Secrets To the Top" by Dr. Paul Enenche, who is a Pastor (& Medical Doctor), and pastors of church of over 100,000 members in Nigeria!

A Pastor I follow says that "God's greatest insult is for a man to doubt Him...but God's greatest pleasure is for a man to say, "I believe you LORD!"
Many people would say they struggle with doubt.
I've doubted before...
But the good news is that you do NOT have to settle with doubting God...nor should you.
Just like faith releases the flow of God's power, doubt & unbelief #blocks the flow of God's power. Therefore we must discover how to get rid of doubt!
God desires for you to BELIEVE Him.. and not doubt (Mark 11:23). So what is the solution for your doubt?

Jesus said in John 3:11 that "truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and testify oof what we have seen..."
Your testimony is the most powerful thing that you have.
People may try to convince you that God isn't real, but when you have your own personal story of what God has done in your life, it is difficult to be persuaded!
In this episode, in honor of celebrating my 1 year wedding anniversary later this month, I share a short testimony about the events leading up to our wedding.
I want to encourage you to think back and reflect to everything the Lord has done in your life. You may not be exactly where you want to be, but thank God you're not where you used to be!

In 2022, I'm reading the Bible from cover to cover, something that I have never successfully done before. I want to encourage you all to do it with me!
That's why I'm doing a "21 Day Bible Reading Plan Jump-start," where for the next 21 Days I will publish an episode paraphrasing the "passage of the day", and sharing what stood out to me!
They say it takes 21 days of doing something consistently to form a habit...
Sometimes it is intimidating trying to make a goal to read the entire Bible cover to cover, however if you can develop the simple habit of reading the Bible daily, 365 days later you will find that you have read through the entire Bible!
I will post the link to the Bible reading plan I am following, and if you don't have one, I would encourage you to follow along! This year will be your best year yet, especially if you build it on the Rock of the Word of God!

The Bible says in Hosea 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of #knowledge," but also says in Daniel 11:32 that "..the people that do know their God will be strong, and do exploits."
Your knowledge & perception of God will be the difference between you being "destroyed" or you "doing exploits."
If your view of God has been thwarted by misinformation, bad experiences, or just plain ignorance, I pray that this podcast gets mind heading in the right direction. What better time than Christmas to get to truly get to know God for who He really is.
Once you get to know God for yourself, know one will be able to convince you otherwise! Enjoy!

Revelation 3:15,16 says "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of My mouth."
The Lord desires wholehearted devotion to Him, not a half-in half-out relationship.
Ask yourself, has your relationship with God become casual? It doesn't usually happen overnight..but over a period of time.
One of my aunties from Nigerian called me recently and actually made me realize that mine had! In this episode I share the conversation, and the changes I made after that have helped me get back on track! I pray they help you as well.

"Silent Killers" in the medical community are known as diseases that "have no obvious symptoms or indications." Ones that come to mind are High Blood Pressure (Hypertension), High Blood Sugar (Diabetes), and/or certain types of Cancer.
These conditions can affect people without them even realizing it, and by the time they do, it's often too late.
In the same way, secular music to the Christian may seem harmless and non-impactful, but could often times be silently affecting your relationship and love for God.

Before beginning to talk about How to Keep & Grow Your Relationship with God while in College, I wanted to address How to Have a Relationship with God in the first place. You can't "Keep & Grow" something you don't even have to begin with. It's interesting, because the hardest thing for people high school and college age (17-25) to acknowledge is that they even need God in the first place. Many people believe they are genuinely a "good person," & don't think there is a reason from them to have to "accept Jesus into their heart" to get into Heaven or start a relationship with God. In Part 1 of this potential 3 Part series, I break down the reason why regardless of how good we think we are, we are all sinners that need a Savior! Please Enjoy!

I'm reading an incredible book titled Take The Stairs by Rory Vaden in which the main theme is Self-Discipline. Self-Discipline is a prerequisite to becoming a successful person. I am disciplined, but recently I've noticed some flaws that I have, that I want resolved in this area. God has created His children to shine on the earth. We were not created to be pitied by the world, and for people to feel sorry for us.. we were created to be envied by the world. People should respect us because of what the blessing of God has produced in our lives, regardless of whether they believe in our God or not. Be encouraged by this episode to be the best; the head and not the tail, above and not beneath!

I wouldn't be the person I am if it wasn't for the Anointing of God! The Anointing is God's tangible presence and power. It is not an optional add-on to Christianity... it is a necessity! Before I had an encounter with God, my relationship with Him was dead, but immediately after He touched me, everything changed. If you're hungry for it, He will touch you and your life will never be the same! Let this podcast stir your hunger for the Anointing!
Genesis 1-3 illustrates God's creation and the Fall of man. Just in these three chapters, there is a lot that we can unpack and learn from that can help us understand why the world is the way it is today. God never intended there to be sin, sickness & disease, lack, or tragedies. In the Garden of Eden, everything was perfect; all of that other stuff came as a result of sin... and we are still experiencing the consequences of sin to this day. Being born into a rich family has its perks, just like having the God of the Bible as your Heavenly Father has its perks. Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." He also said in John 6:63 that "the words I have spoken to you -- they are full of the Spirit and life.". Until we understand our literal dependency on the Word of God, we will never prioritize it properly in our lives. I've recently had this revelation afresh, and my prayer is that as you listen to this podcast, you will too.
We as Christians have been ashamed of what we believe for long enough! It's time for us to stop apologizing for it and start bolding standing up for Christ in the midst of persecution! I'm asking and praying for boldness, and I pray you do too!
It's easy to get distracted from the plans and purposes that God has for us. The cares and worries of this world can subconsciously consume us. Every now and again, we need a realignment, a refocusing...to remind ourselves what truly matters. "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?" (Matthew 16:26) God desires us to seek first His kingdom, and He promises that when we do, He will add all other things unto us. (Matthew 6:33)

Just like God has a plan for your life, the Devil also has a plan. God's plans are always good, and the Devils plans are always to "steal, kill, and destroy." The Devils ultimate goal in attacking Job was to get him to curse God and die, like is wife suggested. In this episode, I talk about how we are not to be ignorant of the devils plans, and how we can have the correct mindset when certain things don't go our way. Enjoy!

I've been reading the Old Testament extensively, and I've noticed a common trend.. When you serve God with all of your heart, things go great, but when you don't, things go south quickly. Whether that is true or not is another discussion, but what about God's privileges? What about the benefits that there are when you are a child of God? I grew up in church but had no relationship with God. Being raised in a strict home, going away to college was my chance to "go off the deep end" and "make up for lost time." Surprisingly, something else happened.. and my life has never been the same since!
