What I discussed in this episode. When you travel, you have to trust your gut and your instincts….and bringing that back to your every day. How Hannah is feeling so much more aware and present in her environment during this pandemic. Being mindful as a parent is not something you can always embody as you are having to focus on so many things at the one time.
Hannah Ivanovskis is a woman of many hats! Mum of three under 5, ex-pat Brit living on the Surfcoast in Victoria, qualified life coach, communications queen, exercise junkie and storyteller. She tells it like it is, and keeps it real, in every forum. Her corner of the 'gram is a mixture of mum life, positivity, motivation, laughing and swearing.

What we talked about in this episode. How Kristy came to realise how easy it is to get lost in your own world. The one-month sabbatical Kristy took to travel to Mexico and Cuba to reconnect with herself and the greater world. Why travel will always lead to expansion.
Kristy Gray is a Life Strategist, Astrologer & perpetual explorer of what it takes to live a passionate and purpose driven life. After a decade of experience in Learning and Development working with people, businesses and brands in beauty, Kristy decided to merge her skills and expertise together to create a unique and tailored experience with one goal in mind - to empower as many women as she can.
In 2017 Kristy resigned from her corporate job but was swayed to stay on for another year. Her bargaining tool to stay on was to take a 1 month sabbatical and travel to Mexico, Cuba and LA with her best friend. She chose to travel as a 'minimalist' only taking hand luggage with her for 30 days.

What we talked about in this episode. The remote surfing and adventure locations that Ben travels to, 2 or 3 times a year. How Being able to make decisions quickly is like you have freedom. Where Bens motivation comes from to travel to such remote places.
Ben Herrgott started surfing a few years after moving from France to Australia in 2002. After working for 10 years in Melbourne, Ben decided to make up for all the years away from the water, and try to fast-track his learning. He approved it as an investment in his future: if he surfs all kinds of waves with all kinds of people in all kinds of countries, he should improve enough to ensure that he will have a ball every time he gets his gills wet…
Ben enjoys rugged landscape - cold water and empty places, so he almost only travels to explore waves in colder regions of the world: Far East Russia, Alaska... and sometimes he chooses to ride a mountain bike instead to mix it up a bit with his last bike trip being in Greenland.
Travels and adventure has taught Ben that everything seems easy once a decision is made

What we talked about in this episode. Figuring out how to live like the locals went travelling and living abroad. How changes in Technology have changed the way we travel. To never lose sight of why we travel.
Aaron is driven from within. He is an entrepreneur, traveller, and lover of great coffee and people’s stories. His career spans Formula 1, sport and recreation, management consulting and now takes him on a business journey with an unknown destination. Much like his travel he enjoys the journey as well as the destination in life and business and takes every opportunity to see the world through the eyes and footprints of others. Aaron is documenting his business journey to a “destination unknown” and has also written a book about his career transitions from standing track side at motor sport events to inside boardrooms as a management consultant.
From the age of 2, Aaron has been fortunate to have spent multiple periods overseas including studying in China, Austria and Finland. As well as travelling to over 40 countries throughout Europe, Australasia, Asia and North America. Much of his time abroad has been spent exploring the local scene with friends who are locals.

Laura is an internationally certified coach and Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner for humans who are ready to let go of their limitations and live into their potential. Her unique approach to creating powerful and lasting transformation can be summed up as mindset, magic and mechanics. Mindset focuses on subconscious transformation, helping release the deep-seated beliefs, habits, thoughts and emotions that are holding you back, then re-wiring your brain with new programs. Magic is about learning how to connect with and trust your truth - your intuition. And mechanics is about taking the inner and outer action to create a life and business on your terms, one that feels good AND gets results.
After a car accident, Laura went on a journey to become the sort of person she wanted to be and live a life she wanted to live – not the life she thought she ‘had’ to live. Now, she loves challenging herself to get out of her comfort zone, which has seen her compete in a half-ironman triathlon, get a mystery haircut and convert a bus into a tiny home with her husband.

On his retirement, Chris was able to further some of his adventurous ambitions, one of them being to paddle in a polar environment. With four friends, in 2015, they successfully paddled around the remote island on South Georgia a feat that is regarded as the “Everest” of sea kayaking. For their endeavours, the team was awarded the Australian Adventurers of the year. She is always heading overseas and has been telling stories of her adventures for years but only recently she quit her ‘real’ job to actually ‘have a crack at it’ without the illusion of a “career.”

Mellita is in the process of starting up a Foundation - the Esther Education Foundation - which will be a charity to raise money to support the education of women and girls in the Solomon Islands. As the name suggests, meeting Esther, hearing her story and sharing her journey has inspired the creation of this foundation.Links and show notes for this episode

About Kati
From teenage years, Kati wanted to explore Australia but never quite envisaged getting "stuck" here. Kati grew up behind the Berlin Wall, in East Berlin. Travel always had a bit of an exotic allure to Kati. She now has lived almost half her life in Australia, and sometimes she wonders whether her "extended period abroad" will ever come to an end.
Whilst still German at heart, Australia has changed her in so many ways that now find parts of the German psyche and mentality alien. Kati loves going back to see her family but admits that sometimes pretends not to be German because it makes life easier. When her family comes out to Australia, she is always struck by what they find curious and remark upon - things she doesn’t notice or take for granted.

What do you do if you feel in a funk?
There are many things you can do if your struggling with the transitions, that in itself can be overwhelming. But undeniably the most important area of focus is your mindset. You must go to work on levelling up your mindset To create a conscious awareness around your thoughts and start to take control and own what you are thinking about so, if need be you can start to change it.Links and show notes for this episode

Are you PURSUING happiness or are you actually LIVING it?
So many people lead themselves to believe that happiness (success, joy, love) is in the future and they become addicted to chasing that feeling.
"Beware of destination addiction, a preoccupation with the idea that happiness is in the next place, the next job or with the next partner. Until you give yo the idea that happiness is somewhere else, it will never be where you are." ~Robert HoldenLinks and show notes for this episode

THE WORLD HAS SO MUCH TO OFFER...
Travel continually teaches us to grow and evolve. I say continually because sometimes we don't learn the lessons the first time round, or we don't fully pick them up and adopt them, or we lose them.
Common lessons and learnings that people say they have gained from travel are to have an open perspective on life, how to be flexible, adaptable and capable of doing things you thought you couldn't do, how to be resourceful and look within rather than outside yourself to get something done and that travel teaches us that life is to be enjoyed and to choose an adventure.Links and show notes for this episode

How do you look back on your travel memories?
The common thread is that you remember the good times. Most of the time, you forget the rest. The seemingly ‘bad’ and ‘challenging’ times turn into moments of ‘overcoming challenges’ and you look upon these with a positive outlook.
On occasions I believe you glorify these memories. Making these memories seem even more amazing than they actually were, attaching the strongest and most amazing emotions to them.Links and show notes for this episode

What I have learned when reconnecting with old friends.
One of the hardest things, I found when returning home from long term travel was re-establishing my friendship circles. There was a mixture of old friends, plus new ones and other friends I was meeting along the way. There were often times when I so desperately wanted to meet with an old friend and it just take off from where we left off, but instead I found that I was the one, pushing and driving and hoping the friendship would be the same, when it was never going to be that way, it had taken a new path.Links and show notes for this episode

Make a choice to achieve something, commit and stay consistent and manifest your success by focussing on your mind. What is Mindset?
Mindset is a ‘way of thinking’ and opinions. This way of thinking predetermines your response to and interpretation of situations. How you perceive things.
Travelling exposes you to an extensive array situations, people and circumstances that helps you to broaden your way of thinking and approach life with a more open mindset.
Upon returning home its easy to see how much you have changed as many of those around you still have a similar mindset to your old one.
But it can also be difficult if you experience the reverse culture shock, to build a mindset that really supports you through the transition and thats what Im going to be talking about today.Links Related Blogs: Success through focus // Change...how to really make it work for you. Katy Grable was raised in a military family, and after spending the first few years of her life in Hawaii she then moved across the planet to Germany. Katy spent most of my formative years moving around the Germany and returned to the US when she was 16 years old.
Her parents took every opportunity to travel with her when she was a child. They took weekend road trips around central Europe. She went to summer camps in Italy, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as theatre camps in London. Katy was lucky to have parents who realised what a great opportunity for travel being stationed abroad was.LINKS Website: www.aroundtheworldinkatydays.com Katys Instagram: @aroundtheworldinkatydays Facebook: aroundtheworldinkatydaysLinks for The Wanderlusters Mind Website: www.thewanderlustersmind.com Instagram: @thewanderlustersmind Facebook: The Wanderlusters Mind - Abby Lewtas
