To congratulate the staff of BTE Renewables on getting through two very tough years and to help them prepare for the 2022 season, I wrote a script and contributed my voice to a video called "Be The Energy to Shine." Playing on the organisation's acronym, we took creative license to change it to suit our ambition to have every employee show up with a revitalised energy to take on the challenge for what is sure to be an extraordinary year.
It's all up to each individual to bring their unique and vibrant energy into the new year and to help the organisation to shine.
Pre-Lockdown we produced this episode on how best to transform your life. I used my experience of rehabilitation for my knee injury to share the necessary components of healing, comfort and overall recovery. Now, some four months since surgery, and in a much less mobile state due to COVID-19, I am thankful to hear again the importance of living a full life built on the principles of strength, flexibility and stability. In these trying times of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, we need to be ready for war. However, the battle is not just physical. We are living in a time of uncertainty and fear that can cause us to grow weary. In this previous episode of Warm Up with WarriorRic, I suggest that we get up and get dressed with the Full Armour of God so that we will be fully equipped to fight against the wickedness of the enemy that is meant to confuse in order to conquer. To overcome and win the many battles ahead, we are going to need the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the foot shod of peace and the sword of faith. Are you ready for war?
I love art, creativity and innovation. In this episode I use music (and any expression of creativity) to discuss the importance of trusting the process, and not concerning yourself with perfection. As humans, we can aim for perfection, but can never be perfect. Don't drive yourself bonkers by trying to be perfect, rather trust yourself, those who love and support your work, plus the process itself. The process is your spirit man working with God's will for your life. Not easy, not in your time, not even the way you planned, but perfect in God's eyes.
Shutdown? Lockdown? Pandemic. Virus. These are all words that can leave us anxious, fearful and hopeless. However, if we live a life of expectancy, and anticipate what we want on the other side of these 'gloom-and-doom' messages, we can help ourselves and others to overcome the challenge we face today. I believe we are living in an opportunistic era for us to create whatever we want for our future, if we would just imagine it, and allow our creative minds to change our behavior that perhaps placed us in this muck in the first place. While we isolate ourselves from the noise and listen to the spirit of the wind, let's consider a future world that is not only kind, but generous to the planet, to animals and especially other humans beings. Ready to reset?
Doing the necessary work to fulfill your goals and aspirations is not just for you. Let your unselfish daily toil reap bigger benefits than just a vision for yourself. The seeds you plant today will produce a harvest, but the work includes labour and a spirit that you may not witness. Even the harvest you may not witness because it is not just for your good, but our good. Your future. Our future.
Following on from the episode entitled, "Knocking on the Door," "Crack the Code by breaking the Mould" explains why we often miss the opportunity to even knock because we allow our ethics and values to be usurped by man's law. For long-term sustainable success, we must always aspire to the higher calling.
Consistency is key to achieving success. However, all too often we get distracted by people and circumstances that deter us from our goals. In this episode I remind us that when we ask for something we want, a door will appear. The opportunity (the door) is confirmation of what you asked for. The door is also the promise, but you have to knock consistently on that door with purpose if you want to receive what's for you on the other side.
