Ben & Dan launch an NBA-centric podcast in which they discuss everything basketball from the news, philosophy, tactics, finance and trends.
About us:
Ben graduated from Cornell University where he studied statistics and applied economics. During the day, he works in market research consulting & data analytics. Ben also writes for his blog (the Libero Project) about European football, basketball and video games.
Dan is an avid NBA fan dating back from the early days of Kobe and Shaq. He claims to have Dirk's jumper, Kawhi's defense, Olajuwon's low post game and Vince Carter's athleticism. None of that is true. Dan also graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a master's degree in Operations Research engineering.
In the bonus podcast this week, Ben and Dan go over which games they will be watching this week on prime time and league pass. Dan is fascinated by the tactical battle between the Rockets and the Warriors while Ben is really interested in seeing by the battle for the Western conference's 8th playoffs spot between Denver & Portland. Listen in to find out what other games they'll be watching.
In this episode, Ben and Dan discuss extensively key playoff races in both the eastern (17:00) and western conference (20:00). They also break down the main teams tanking in the NBA (33:00) and the resting problem (43:00).
In the pilot episode of Taking The Charge, Ben & Dan discuss the trade deadline, the eastern conference, and the value of waived veterans to contenders.
