Kay has been conducting domestic Church History tours for Morris Murdock and Legacy Travel since 1990. He also takes groups to Israel and European (Apostle) destinations. He speaks Hebrew and can read Egyptian hieroglyphs. His wife, Debra speaks French.
Kay and his wife Debra recently served a mission to Sharon, Vermont, where they were involved in numerous historical preservation endeavors including having secured permission from Topsfield, MA, to have a monument erected in Pine Grove Cemetery as a tribute to five generations of the Topsfield Smiths.
Kay retired in 2012 after serving 35 years with the BSA. He retired as Director of Development/Finance, Support Services and Public Relations for the Great Salt Lake Council, Boy Scouts of America. He and his wife, Debra, live in Kaysville, Utah and are the parents of 5.

He is a graduate of Brigham Young University. He holds degrees in Historic Archaeology and Anthropology as well as Law Enforcement and Justice Administration.
He has studied and researched the life of the Prophet Joseph Smith for over 45 years. He has done extensive “on-site” research in New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois and Missouri. He has spoken to the issue of the “Trials of the Prophet Joseph” at numerous symposiums in Nauvoo, Il. and Independence, Mo. He has edited books and videos for various authors on the historical accuracy of materials pertaining to Joseph Smith.
He has authored a comprehensive four-part presentation detailing the life of Joseph Smith. This history is entitled: “Following the Footsteps of Joseph”. Kay’s material has been requested by such institutions as Oberlin College Archives, (Oberlin, Ohio) to be filed with the Spaulding Manuscript documents, Brigham Young University, in celebration of the bi-centennial celebration of Joseph Smith’s birth, the Joseph Smith Memorial Site, (Sharon, Vermont) as a teaching tool for new missionary couples and the archives department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Kay has been conducting domestic Church History tours for Morris Murdock and Legacy Travel since 1990. He also takes groups to Israel and European (Apostle) destinations. He speaks Hebrew and can read Egyptian hieroglyphs. His wife, Debra speaks French. He has served in numerous ward and stake callings including the High Council of the Meridian South Stake, Meridian, Idaho.

David Levi Osmond is the fourth son of Alan and Suzanne Osmond. He was born on 21 August 1979, making him a young 37 years old. His father is the founder of the original singing group, The Osmond Brothers. He has seven brothers – Michael, Nathan, Douglas, Scott, Jon, Alex, and Tyler.One might say that David Osmond was born with music flowing through his veins. When he was younger, he and three of his siblings – Michael, Nathan, and Douglas – comprised the musical quartet known as the Osmond Boys. Mike Curb, who signed the original Osmond Brothers to their recording contract, decided to make the Osmonds famous once again and signed David and his brothers. They had four songs in the Top 40 in the U.K. and performed to sold-out stadiums and arenas in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. The Osmond Boys worked extensively with the Children's Miracle Network, visiting sick children around the country. They also appeared on several TV shows, such as Good Morning America, and Live with Regis and Kathy Lee.
Osmonds 2nd Generation, 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'
As the boys grew older they changed their name to the Osmonds 2nd Generation and their other brothers became a part of the act and often joined them on stage. The troupe went to Missouri and became featured performers at the Osmond Family Theater in Branson. David not only performed with his brothers but was also a featured solo artist.
David also understudied for and eventually replaced his uncle, Donny Osmond, in his role in the musical production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He was honored to perform in the touring cast of the show after Donny became ill. He played Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Pittsburg CLO in downtown Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, through 7 June 2009.
Pursing a Music Career
To pursue his music career, David auditioned and performed through Hollywood Week in the eighth season of American Idol in 2009. However, due to laryngitis, he was unable to continue the show.
On 1 March 2010, David did a soft release of an album called Reflected, which is available for download on iTunes and samples of the songs are available on YouTube. That was followed by the release of his first album, Road Less Traveled, through Shadow Mountain Records in the summer of 2010.

Presentation: Zelph Mound: Did Zelph live at the time of the Nephites?
Biography, in his own words
I think my interest in Book of Mormon archaeology and Church history started with my father, Thayer C. Barrowes. He always had an interest in artifacts and where the Book of Mormon took place. I grew up in South Salt Lake City, Utah and went on a mission to the Philippines and next graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Biology. Next it was Dental school in Seattle Washington. Shortly afterwards, I moved to Nauvoo, Illinois to be the town dentist. I love to read about Joseph Smith and other early church leaders.
After specializing in Endodontics, I moved to Quincy, Illinois, and thanks to my Bishop, Clark Boulton, I learned about the Zion’s Camp route through Illinois. Bishop Boulton took us on a father’s and son’s outing and we tried, in vain, to find the location of Zelph Mound. I met up a few years later with some good member friends, Melvin Martin, Richard Mudd to discuss the Zion’s Camp Trail. Melvin Martin, showed use the location of Zelph Mound and we formed a Zion’s Camp Trail Committee of Illinois. Knowing that Zelph Mound was sacred ground, and preferring cornfields to urban sprawl, I moved my family from the Chicago Suburbs to Jacksonville, Illinois, on the Zion’s Camp route.
Our committee started giving youth activities and tours at historic sites along the Zion’s Camp Trail. By and by, we met with James Bradley, the author of the Book “The Eternal Perspective of Zions Camp”, Wayne May, the Author of Books on Archaeology and the Book of Mormon peoples and Rod Meldrum, the author of “Exploring the Book of Mormon in America’s Heartland”. We enjoyed sharing common interests with these men. For ten years, members of our committee and I enjoyed meeting with Rod Meldrum and many guests he brought on bus tours to Zelph Mound each year.
We discovered that artifacts were excavated from Zelph Mound by the University of Illinois archaeologists in 1990 and we photographed them. To correct some misinformation about the mound, I finished writing a book, “Joseph Smith’s Revelation about Zelph Mound” in 2017. The book is available on Rod Meldrum’s website here. After 38 years in Illinois, to be closer to my children, my wife, Terese and I moved back to Utah in 2019. I regretted leaving Zion’s Camp historical sites and Zelph Mound, but I brought my Zelph Mound art exhibit pieces with me and set them up in American Fork. Besides Church history I enjoy my children, grandchildren, camping, hiking and photography.

Ridge Hartley grew up in Kaysville Utah and graduated from Davis high in 1986. Ridge served a full-time mission to the Raleigh North Carolina mission from January 1987 to January 1989. He graduated from Weber State College in 1992. Ridge has been in the financial planning business since 1992, and has enjoyed raising money for companies for over 10 years.
Ridge says Joseph Smith has been his personal hero since he was a young boy and doing missionary work is one of the real joys of this is life. Since he met Rod Meldrum about seven years ago it has truly been a great blessing in his life. Ridge says"I love giving people the annotated book of Mormon in the book of Mormon in America is heartland, so that people can learn the Joseph Smith taught that the Jaradite, Nephites and Mulekites were brought here to the United States of America. The Heartland Model has sufficient detail to resonate as true with Paul. A key issue is that metalworking has not been found before 600-800 AD in Mesoamerica. The Book of Mormon informs that Nephi was making metal swords approximately 590 BC, about 1000 years earlier. Ancient design iron smelting furnaces from Nephite time frames have been found buried in Ohio with iron still in the molds. Solving engineering problems requires that all the facts agree to explain the cause of a problem, otherwise the true cause is still unexplained. By this logic, Mesoamerica could not be where Book of Mormon events took place because of the lack of metalworking in the Nephite time frame.

He has also written a book titled “Prophecies and Promises; The Book of Mormon and the USA.” This book outlines the 36 Prophecies and Promises that clearly identify the United States as the location of the ‘Promised Land’ of the Latter-days. It has been called a “stunning” new insight on geography research and provides historical evidence that documents containing Joseph Smith’s words, writings, and actions were consistent with the prophecies & promises of the Book of Mormon. He also served for seven years as the senior scientific researcher on the book titled, “Universal Model” by Dean Sessions, a natural sciences textbook. The first volume of over 800 pages was printed in April 2017 and volume two was in stores in April 2020. Volume three will come in the next year. It’s over 2,500 pages of “New Millennial Science.”
He began his study of issues surrounding the controversy over DNA and the Book of Mormon in 2003 which led to a study of the origins of proposed geographical settings of the Book of Mormon. In addition, he has spent years of intensive study of the Book of Mormon itself and the historical background and documents associated with it.
Mr. Meldrum has given several hundred presentations across the United States, Canada and internationally and has shared his research and findings in support of the Book of Mormon and the gospel of Jesus Christ with hundreds of thousands of members and non-members alike. Mr. Meldrum has been conducting tours to the Heartland of America since 2010, educating guests at museums, sacred native American sites, and other archaeological sites dating to the time period of the Book of Mormon.
He founded his organization, The FIRM Foundation (Foundation for Indigenous Research and Mormonism), in 2008 which today comprises ten boards with more than 200 board members and over 40,000 LDS newsletter recipients. The FIRM Foundation sponsors two International Book of Mormon Evidence Expos and Conferences annually with additional regional conferences and events throughout the country and around the world bringing together dozens of the top LDS speakers for thousands of Latter-day Saints and others.

Jason Mow : Author
After serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jason joined the U.S. Army and served as a Paratrooper. He advanced through the ranks to the position of Team Sergeant for the Army’s elite Special Reactions Team (SRT). He has experience and training in joint counter narcotics operations, protective services, counter terrorism, weapons and tactics training, and deployments to hostile areas.After the Army, Jason began work as a civilian Police Officer. Jason has worked as a patrol officer, gang detective, narcotics detective, street crimes detective, and spent several years on SWAT as an operator and instructor. He is a certified police instructor in firearms, defensive tactics, tactical driving, and patrol rifle operations. Jason has twice been awarded the Law Enforcement Metal of Honor for gallant bravery in the line of duty and was recognized as the Community Services Officer of the Year for his department.
In addition to the military and police training, he has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University and has graduated from the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy, the U.S. State Department International Narcotics and Law Enforcement program, and the United States Army Military Police Academy. He is also POST certified police instructor.
In 2006, Jason took time off from his Law Enforcement career and worked as a Civilian Contractor for the U.S. Government in Afghanistan. He worked at the National Police Academy in Herat as the lead Instructor. Jason also worked as the personal mentor for law enforcement operations to several regional Afghan government officials. He embedded with the US Army and traveled with small specialized teams of soldiers to remote locations throughout Afghanistan.
It was in Afghanistan that the first ideas for what would become the War Chapters series began to form. After a rocket attack on his base in Herat, he turned to the scriptures and found comfort in reading about the experiences of Captain Moroni. He wrote these scenes as they played out in his mind all throughout his time there.
Jason volunteers his time and skills doing humanitarian work, conducting personal recovery operations, medical aid, and security, in response to natural disasters around the world. He has deployed to assist during Hurricane Katrina and the earthquake in Haiti.

Darin is an American actor, writer, and director of English, Scottish, and German decent, born in the small town of Vernal Utah. Most of his childhood and adolescence (12 years) was spent in Vancouver, Washington. A week after Darin's seventeenth birthday, his father died of a heart attack. As the youngest and last of five children in the home, Darin became the man of the house.
The school stage is where Darin's passion for acting began but he was also very into sports. After playing college football at Brigham Young University-Idaho, Darin finished his BA at the University of Utah. His football days led to his first acting role in the Disney film "Going To The Mat," working with Khleo Thomas as the football jock, "Yardley". The following year, Darin booked another role in Disney's "Halloweentown High," where he worked with Academy Award Nominated, Debbie Reynolds, as well as Teen Choice Nominated, Lucas Grabeel. Southam read for the role of Wylie in Disney's "Buffalo Dreams" and had the director all but convinced until he was asked his age (being 25 at the time). Though Darin is typically cast in younger roles, in this case, the director took Darin's age a bit too literally. Darin took a few roles in independent films and then landed a lead role in Discovery Channel's "I Shouldn't Be Alive."
In spite of his brewing film success, with a young family, Darin relocated to California to pursue a law degree. Shortly after moving, he booked a role in "127 Hours" where he worked with Golden Globe Winner (and Academy Award Nominated), James Franco. Although the role turned out to be smaller than anticipated, as the entire wedding scene was cut from the final edit, it did steer Darin from law school. He withdrew after one semester to attend Playhouse West Acting School in North Hollywood. While studying there, he booked roles in a number of films, including the mountain man scout Ephraim Hanks in "Ephraim's Rescue," where he showed his ability to carry a film. Later, Darin was also direct-cast as a younger character version of PT Emmy Nominated, John Heard, in "Counting For Thunder." Not letting his law background go to waste, Darin followed by landing a supporting role as the lead Defense Attorney in "Just Let Go," where he worked opposite Emmy Nominated Henry Ian Cusick and Sam Sorbo (Jenkins). Most recently, Southam worked opposite Teen Choice Winner, Josh Lucas, on Yellowstone.
Darin is also the writer and director of over 30 commercials and short films, including the third all-time highest funded short film on Kickstarter in 2017, "Reign of Judges: Title of Liberty Concept Short".

As the director of scientific research and discovery for the UM, Sessions continued investigations in the 1990s with the aid of several research assistants. Thousands of PEER-REVIEWED scientific journal articles were gathered from all the general fields of science and in-depth experimentation was conducted both in the field and in the laboratory. Various scientists from a number of different fields were contacted in order to ascertain whether or not particular new discoveries in the UM were important or previously known. As a result of these discussions, it was generally found that the scientific community was unaware and unconcerned with the new science evidences presented. This is mainly because the paradigm shift suggested was too large to contemplate. The new discoveries would create an entirely new science.
Open minded individuals who were interested in how Nature really works were ecstatic with the New Millennial Science. On April 6, 2017, Volume I of the UM (The Earth System) was released in hard copy to the public. Volume II (The Living System) was released digitally in September 2017. Volume III (The Universe System) is in process. All three volumes will contain a total of 32 chapters with more than 2,000 pages. In addition, thousands of journal article references and photos from around the world were used to help explain the concepts in the book.
Since the release of the Universal Model, thousands have purchased the Universal Model and attended UM presentations learning various topics in the new science. The Millennial Science Foundation was created as the organization to help teach and integrate the new discoveries and to conduct ongoing research needed for the New Millennial Science.Dean and his wife Danette, are the parents of five children and ten grandchildren, all of whom have participated in this wonderful journey discovering how Nature works and why we are such an important part of all the beauty that surrounds us.

He is a 38 year convert to the LDS Church and has served in four Branch Presidencies, three Elder Quorum Presidencies, Seminary Instructor, Gospel Doctrine Instructor, Veil worker at the St. Paul Minnesota Temple, and currently is serving as Gospel Doctrine Teacher of the Menomonie Wisconsin Branch, Oakdale, Minnesota Stake. His wife Kristine is active with Wayne in the archaeological discoveries of the Midwest. Together they publish the quarterly magazine Ancient American which has been in continuous print for sixteen years and covers the pre-Columbian Americas. Wayne and Kristine are the parents of 7 children, and grandparents to 16.
Wayne is author of four books on the subject of Book of Mormon Archaeology in North America. They are entitled; This Land: Zarahemla and the Nephite Nation; This Land: Only One Cumorah; This Land: They Came from the EAST: and book four is This Land: America 2,000 B.C. to 500 A.D. Wayne gives firesides to members and non-members alike, wherever he is invited to present. He has been presenting information on the topic of North America’s archaeological data since 1994 which demonstrates how it applies to the Book of Mormon timeline.
Wayne is an Elder in the LDS Church. A convert of 46 years, Wayne was born and raised in Wisconsin. Betty “Red Ant” LaFontaine Navajo Educator, Speaker and Teacher

The Book of Mormon “The Light of Christ” Betty “Red Ant” LaFontaine is a full blooded Diné (Navajo) born of the Red Clay Bottom Clan, for the Salt Clan. Raised on the Navajo Reservation, she lived most of her youth in New Mexico in the traditional ways of the Diné. Betty is the middle child of eleven children, most of whom continue to live on the Reservation. Her father is Charlie (Man in the White Meadow) White, and her mother is Helen Yazzie White. Her ties to her family and homeland remain strong. Her family was taught by missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in about 1967 her mother was baptized by LeGrande Richards. Her mother later took out her endowments in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Helen served as a Relief Society President in her hometown of Crownpoint, New Mexico, and has always been very sensitive to the Spirit, despite her lack of a formal education. Betty did the Temple work for her father Charlie, after he passed away.
At age five, Betty began her formal education. While attending school she was taught English as a second language. She was not permitted to speak her native tongue during the school day. Betty’s mother Helen chose to have Betty attend the LDS Indian Student Placement Program, giving her access to a better education and an introduction to the modern world. During her seven years in the program, Betty met her husband of 38 years, Mike LaFontaine originally from Florida, and is of Chippewa heritage. Mike’s parents are Melvin J. and Dellene M. Peterson LaFontaine. Mike and Betty were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1982 and they currently live in Orange Park, Florida where they have been for 25 years, spending time with their beautiful 5 children and 18 grandchildren.
As a modern urban Indian, Betty’s passion is to educate others about the realities of reservation life, and the history and culture of her people. Betty loves helping others become outstanding members of their communities, and especially loves strengthening her brothers and sisters in the LDS Church. As an Indian educator, Betty makes presentations about her native culture, life-ways, heritage to school assemblies, clubs, groups, organizations, and business employees. Betty has served in Relief Society, Young Women, and as a teacher in Sunday School, and Primary. She is from the tribe of Manasseh. Her testimony of the veracity of the Book of Mormon has engendered in her an interest in recent archaeological and DNA evidences and the ties she has to her heritage and native culture. Her Native American brothers and sisters are a chosen yet scattered people and her passion is to bring them home to the Savior where they may lead in building the New Jerusalem.

Purchase Jonathan’s newest book called, “A Man that Can Translate: Joseph Smith and the Nephite Interpreters”. “Joseph Smith, Jr., and his principle scribe, Oliver Cowdery, claimed that Joseph translated the golden plates with an instrument the Nephites called “interpreters.” Joseph and Oliver called them Urim and Thummim. Some of their contemporaries claimed instead that Joseph merely dictated words that appeared on a seer stone he placed in a hat. The dual narratives were well known in 1834. In response, Joseph and Oliver formally reaffirmed that Joseph used the Urim and Thummim. They reiterated that position for the rest of their lives.In recent years, historians have revived the seer stone narrative. Which version is correct? Urim and Thummim or seer stone? Can they both be correct, or is it an either/or situation? Some historians have reconciled the discrepancies by simply redefining the term “Urim and Thummim” to mean both the Nephite interpreters and the seer stones, but that revisionist approach contradicts the plain historical usage. This book explores the historical evidence and proposes a solution that vindicates the testimonies of Joseph and Oliver while also accepting the statements of the observers as to what they saw. Except what they actually saw was not what they thought they saw.”
Jonathan Neville is a lawyer, businessman, educator and author who has written over forty books, including both nonfiction and fiction. He has studied Church history and the Book of Mormon for decades, but didn’t begin publishing in the field until 2015. As of July 2017, he has published ten books on these topics. He also writes for several blogs, including lettervii.com, and moronisamerica.com.
Brother Neville approaches these issues like the criminal prosecutor he once was. He pursues the evidence wherever it leads and doesn’t simply “assume” anything or take anyone’s word at face value. When it comes to Church history, he follows the adage: “trust, but verify.” That process of verifying has led to some important new discoveries that he finds to be faith-affirming and corroborate what Joseph Smith said and what the Book of Mormon teaches.
For the last twenty-five years, Jonathan has lived in Utah, but he has lived in Europe for 8 years, in the Philippines, in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Washington, Tennessee, and Illinois. He has visited over 60 countries on every continent—including a Chilean base in Antarctica. He travels frequently with his wife Beverly, a PhD and Division Director for the Salt Lake County Health Department who is also a college professor and author, a popular speaker at BYU Education Week, and the author of an article in the Ensign in 2015. They have eight children, seven grandchildren, and no pets.
Tim Ballard, author of the Lincoln Hypothesis among other books, says Brother Neville’s book titled Moroni’s America is “a definite game changer… finally a complete, honest, and faithful look at Book of Mormon geography that deals with all the tough questions.”
Brother Neville’s book, Whatever Happened to the Golden Plates?, explains how Joseph Smith actually translated two separate sets of plates—only one of which came from Moroni’s box in the Hill Cumorah. This new understanding of Church history helps explain details that have puzzled historians for decades

Douglas E. Brinley is a retired professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Utah State University and a Ph.D. from BYU. Jonathan Neville is a lawyer, businessman, educator and author who has written over forty books, including both nonfiction and fiction. He has studied Church history and the Book of Mormon for decades, but didn’t begin publishing in the field until 2015. As of July 2017, he has published ten books on these topics. He also writes for several blogs, includinglettervii.com.
Brother Neville approaches these issues like the criminal prosecutor he once was. He pursues the evidence wherever it leads and doesn’t simply “assume” anything or take anyone’s word at face value. When it comes to Church history, he follows the adage: “trust, but verify.” That process of verifying has led to some important new discoveries that he finds to be faith-affirming and corroborate what Joseph Smith said and what the Book of Mormon teaches.
For the last twenty-five years, Jonathan has lived in Utah, but he has lived in Europe for 8 years, in the Philippines, in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Washington, Tennessee, and Illinois. He has visited over 60 countries on every continent—including a Chilean base in Antarctica. He travels frequently with his wife Beverly, a PhD and Division Director for the Salt Lake County Health Department who is also a college professor and author, a popular speaker at BYU Education Week, and the author of an article in the Ensign in 2015. They have eight children, seven grandchildren, and no pets.

Allan has spent 60 years researching time and related topics. He helped develop the nation’s official atomic-clock timing system during his 32 years in Boulder, CO, at the National Bureau of Standards (now National Institute of Standards and Technology). For 25 of those years, his research group was responsible for generating official time for the United States and helping with official time for the world. During that time, he spent several man years helping in the development of GPS. Atomic clocks are the heart of GPS, and the folks developing GPS came to Boulder to learn how to best use them being taught by Allan and his colleagues at NBS.
His 1965 master’s thesis became the international standard for how to characterize and use atomic clocks, and his work is as well known in the time and frequency, navigation, telecommunication communities as any other when it comes to how to best use precise timing devices. In 2016, he was given the highest award given by the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers with the citation: During November 2018, the IEEE came to his home and spent two days documenting his life’s history because of the many significant contributions he has made to the world timing community; his ORAL HISTORY may be viewed on line with video clips and lots of pictures: https://ethw.org/Oral-History:David_W._Allan.
In his lifetime he has seen a billion-fold increase in timing accuracy thanks to the rapid advancements in atomic clock technology. The algorithm he wrote in 1968, to optimally combine the readings of an ensemble of atomic clocks, has an output better than the best clock in the ensemble, and with improvements by colleagues is still generating time for the USA today.
As a faithful Latter-day Saint, he has served as a bishop, stake president, and in the Denver Mission Presidency, and his recent book, www.ItsAboutTimeBook.com , gives a grand harmony between science and religion. Chauncey Cazier Riddle graduated from Brigham Young University and received his MA and PhD degrees in philosophy from Columbia University in the city of New York. He taught at BYU for 40 years, serving as Professor of Philosophy, Chairman of the Department of Graduate Studies in Religious Instruction, Dean of the Graduate School, and Assistant Academic Vice President.
He has written articles for the Ensign, This People, FARMS, Sunstone, Brigham Young University Studies, Deseret Language and Linguistics, the Encyclopedia of Mormonism, as well as other publications. While his Education Week and Sperry Symposium loyal following always packed the halls of the larger rooms at BYU for more than three dozen years.

One of Chauncey Riddle's Friends and Colleagues was Truman Madsen, of whom Dr. Riddle used many of his publications in his philosophy classes. Dr. Riddle had many student teachers that worked closely with him like Monte F. Shelley who taught a course with Dr. Riddle for six years:
“For several years I had the privilege of helping Chauncey teach an Honors philosophy course. He discussed three key questions of both philosophy and religion: How do we know? What is the nature of God, man and the universe? and What is good or right? He then contrasted the basic answers of philosophers with those of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. The students and I gained a greater understanding of, appreciation for, and testimony of the gospel. This book introduces readers to the questions and answers Chauncey discussed in class. He debated Lowell L. Bennion at a much heralded debate entitled “Liberalism vs Conservatism,” and Richard Poll on campus in the early sixties.
In 2009, he finally broke down and wrote a book, called "THiNK INDEPENDENTLY, How to Think in this World but Not Think With It."
The back cover of his book says:

Chauncey Riddle has done something other bright and capable people such as Hugh Nibley have done for me, opened the door to a complex subject to a layman. I think many who don’t share LDS beliefs will consider it dogmatic, but to a believer as I am, it provides a very useful comparison of traditional philosophy to what I believe. I am not sure I completely accept what is written, but neither do I reject it out of hand. I need more time to consider it. Thank you, Dr. Riddle. I miss your son, Mark.

He has worked every type of case imaginable in the fight to dismantle child trafficking rings. Ballard has worked undercover in the United States and in multiple foreign countries to infiltrate child trafficking organizations. In this effort, he has successfully dismantled dozens of these organizations and rescued countless children from sex slavery. He is an expert at managing Internet investigations, particularly those dealing with file-share networks where pedophiles and traffickers go to trade in child pornography. He has trained hundreds of law enforcement officers and has testified before the United States Congress on best practices to liberate children from sex slavery.
Ballard has been featured on many national news outlets to discuss his efforts to combat child trafficking. He has appeared on Fox & Friends, Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, The Meredith Vieira Show, CBS Nightly News, ABC Nightline, and CNN Headline News, MSNBC, The Glenn Beck Program, as well as many local news shows.
Ballard is the best-selling author of “The Covenant: One Nation Under God,” and is the author of the sequel to that work, “The Covenant, Lincoln, and The War.” He has taught American and International Politics courses at Imperial Valley College, San Diego State University, and American Heritage School. He has been featured regularly on both local and national TV and radio programs to discuss American history and politics and the role America has played in defending liberty at home and abroad. He has often commented on how his academic work in American history has provided him the inspiration and motivation to rescue children–to carry on the American tradition of liberating the captive. Kay is a graduate of Brigham Young University. He holds degrees in Historic Archaeology and Anthropology as well as Law Enforcement and Justice Administration.
He has studied and researched the life of the Prophet Joseph Smith for over 35 years. He has done extensive "on-site" research in New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois and Missouri. He has spoken to the issue of the "Trials of the Prophet Joseph" at numerous symposiums in Nauvoo, Il. and Independence, Mo. He has edited books for various authors on the historical accuracy of materials pertaining to Joseph Smith. Kay has served on numerous boards and foundations such as: Ancient American Archaeology, Missouri Mormon Frontier Foundation, the Foundation for Indigenous Research and Mormonism and the Nauvoo Historical Society.
The Author and Lecturer
Kay lectures regularly to zones of full-time missionaries on the topic of modern-day restoration, most recently speaking to the missionaries and investigators of the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. He has conducted firesides from Calgary, Canada to Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He has authored a comprehensive four-part presentation detailing the life of Joseph Smith. This history is entitled: "Following the Footsteps of Joseph". It is available in a three disk DVD set, produced through Digital Memorys of Kaysville, Utah. Kay's material has been requested by such institutions as Oberlin College Archives, (Oberlin, Ohio) to be filed with the Spaulding Manuscript documents, Brigham Young University, in celebration of the bi-centennial celebration of Joseph Smith's birth and the Joseph Smith Memorial Site, (Sharon, Vermont) as a teaching tool for new missionary couples.

Kay has been conducting domestic Church History tours for Morris Murdock since 1995. He also takes groups to Israel and European destinations. He speaks Hebrew and his wife is fluent in French. - Is the "fullness of the gospel" a covenant to recover Israel?
