In the build up to the season finale, storylines are peaking and cliffhangers are waiting. Martha's villainous secret son has rocked into town pushing for forgiveness. Dean goes on the sesh in Mangrove River, leaving a distressed Bella all alone. Christian decides to move permanently to The Bay as Angelo and Taylor leave. With the loss of his girlfriend, son and two best friends, Dean spirals into self-destruction, leaving Bella feeling abandoned and lonely. The Paratas' Porsche deal with the thugs doesn't last long. The day has arrived Senior Constable Colby Thorne has been arrested but WHO spilled the beans?! With so many people knowing what Colby did, there's suspects a plenty! And if that wasn't enough drams, a 'Kiwi Kerfuffle' (as dubbed by Alf) kicked off outside the Paratas house, with the whole lot of them ending up in the cop shop. Ziggy finds herself wrapped up in dumb-dumb Tane's shady web of problems. Colby finally comes to his senses and dumps Taylor, but it is too late.. a suspicious Angelo has already worked it out. Tori has a stop/starty week of steaminess with Doctor McDreamy. Dean is tested as a parent to Jai and a friend to Colby. A desperate Angelo tries temptation and bluffing to crack the murder case. What a tense week! Angelo begins his investigation of Ross's murder. He questions all involved and surprisingly spooks Colby out of his unusual state of calm. Bella can't cope with the pressure and runs away with Nikau. Jasmine hassles Willow from her high horse but gets put back in her place. John is back to his gossipy old self. Ross’s body is finally discovered which sends Dean, Bella and Willow into a spin while an oddly calm Colby settles their nerves. Angelo Rosetta RETURNS! Jasmine’s first therapy session is very powerful, and Marilyn becomes the burden of the Bay.

Willow and Amber hit the club and after a prissy Mak joins them, jealously over Tane takes over and the girls get angsty! Nik accidentally robs baby Grace in a failed attempt at getting out of town, leaving Tori in a deep state of panic. Judgey Jasmine lays on the guilt to The Morgans. Ziggy really 'marks' her one year anniversary with Dean. Maggie's dramatic departure results in a resolution with Ben. Jasmine fools everyone into thinking she's ok but is secretly robbing Grace's toys and clothes. Ryder says goodbye to his Dad.
Evan’s health takes a set back and he can’t handle being looked after by Ryder and John also struggles with Marilyn’s fussing over him. Meanwhile Maggie is leaving The Bay (and reality) with an irrational move to Italy and Nik is also a flight risk, but Tane catches him before it’s too late.
In the wake of Ryder discovering about Evan’s heath (without Evan knowing), he goes gung-ho organising a live music event at Salt in honour of his Dad. Despite Evan trying to wiggle out of it, he and Roo manage to get Evan to commit to perform. Gemma and Ben’s connection grows stronger; to their children and Maggie’s dismay. Jasmine sinks deeper into the online baby forums. John and Marilyn adjust to life after John’s stroke and the one and only Bella is back!

During a Māori Hāngī dinner hosted by The Paratas, John suffers a stroke and is rushed to hospital. Despite all the commotion, Ari and Tane STILL continue to argue, this time it’s over MacKenzie. The Stewarts have an awkward lunch with Ryder’s Dad Evan. And a Machiavellian Jasmine continues to overstep babysitting boundaries and has her sights set on punishing Willow.

Back to sort out everyone's problems, Alf and Martha return from their honeymoon! Ryder's Dad Evan continues to frustrate, even after his health revelation. And Jasmine's obsession for Grace moves into a creepier territory.

And the Ben and Maggie love bubble has popped as the couple (and Ziggy) muddled through their separation.
Jasmine wildly oversteps a babysitting boundary and breeches the Morgan's trust. She has trouble seeing what was so wrong and works her way through a case of beer to forget about it. Ben mismanages the stress of his marriage breakdown and ends up in hospital, only to be served with an ultimatum from Maggie.
And we've got our first sexy man montage since The Braxtons, with Tane and Nikau playing rugby in the water... hubba hubba!
