Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Japan on Monday, Trump responded to questions about a potential 2028 bid by saying, "I would love to do it" and that he has his "best numbers ever". He also definitively shut down theories about running as vice president, calling the idea "too cute".

The government shutdown is now entering day 27, making it the second-longest shutdown in U.S. history. Lawmakers, including Republicans and Democrats, remain at a stalemate on finding a funding solution. The president of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), the country's largest union representing over 800,000 federal workers, called on lawmakers to pass a short-term spending bill to end the shutdown immediately. Iran Issues Warning: Attacks on Israel and US to Persist as IDF Remains in Gaza
**Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian, warned Israel that attacks by Iran and its allies against Israeli and American targets will continue as long as Israeli forces are waging war in Gaza. He stated that the attacks would cease if Israel withdraws its forces. Iran and its proxy terrorist groups have already carried out over 100 attacks since mid-October, which could potentially escalate the conflict between Israel and Hamas into a regional crisis. Amirabdollahian emphasized that ending the genocide in Gaza would lead to an end of military actions and crises in the region. He also highlighted the connection between the developments in Gaza and the security of the Red Sea, warning that everyone would suffer if Israel's actions in Gaza continue. Iran has recently deployed a navy vessel to the Red Sea, and Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have been launching missile and drone attacks against international trade vessels in the region.
Evan Gershkovich's Mother Affirms His Resilience in a Russian Prison Aimed at Crushing His Spirit
The mother of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich has expressed concerns about her son's well-being in a Russian prison. Ella Milman described the conditions at Lefortovo Prison in Moscow as "very hard" and compared it to a "Stalin-era" facility. Gershkovich has been detained since March 2023 on charges of espionage, which the United States considers to be wrongful. Milman stated that her son is doing his best to stay strong and keeps his "spirits up," but they are worried about him. Gershkovich's imprisonment has garnered international attention and highlighted the dangers faced by journalists in authoritarian countries. Despite the challenging circumstances, he continues to communicate with his family through letters and meets with his Russian lawyers regularly, as well as receiving monthly visits from the U.S. ambassador.
Over 400 lives claimed as Zambia faces deadliest cholera outbreak in 20 years
Zambia is currently facing a severe cholera outbreak that has resulted in over 400 deaths and more than 10,000 infections. As a result, schools in the country have been ordered to remain closed after the holiday season. A soccer stadium in the capital has been converted into a treatment center, and the government is launching a mass vaccination campaign while providing clean water to affected communities. The outbreak began in October and is strongly linked to poverty and inadequate access to clean water. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has referred to the fatality rate of around 4% as "devastatingly high," considering that treated cholera typically has a death rate of less than 1%. Similar outbreaks have occurred in neighboring countries such as Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe, resulting in over 200,000 cases and 3,000 deaths in southern Africa since the beginning of 2023. Malawi experienced its worst cholera outbreak in decades in 2023..
Deadly blast in southern Nigerian city leaves 3 dead, 77 injured
Three people died and 77 were injured in an overnight explosion that rocked over 20 buildings in Nigeria. The explosion occurred in Ibadan city, causing residents to flee their homes. Authorities believe the blast was caused by explosives stored for illegal mining operations. Rescue efforts are underway to find any potential survivors trapped in the rubble.**

On January 19, 2022, the Severskiy City Court of the Tomsk Region in Russia convicted Aleksey Yershov to 3 years in prison, to begin immediately, for practicing his faith as one of Jehovahâs Witnesses.
On March 30, 2021, Yershov was formally charged based on video recordings made by a person who pretended to be interested in studying the Bible but used those recordings to hand over to the FSB (Russiaâs secret police). Practicing their faith as one of Jehovah'sâ Witnesses is illegal in Russia since the Bible Student group was officially banned in the country in 2017, following in the steps of Hitler and the Soviet Union.
On June 22, 2021, his criminal case was submitted to the Severskiy City Court of the Tomsk Region until the recent sentencing of 3 years in prison.
"United Nations International Convention Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination of 1965 is a Treaty is enforceable by domestic and international law and mandates the following:
- To Regard racial discrimination as a crime
- And to prohibit and bring to an end all organizations that incite and promote racial discrimination.
Religious organizations including Catholic, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and Judaism operating in in jurisdictions under all UN member states are in clear violation of the convention as these religious organizations incite racial discrimination resulting in actors of terror, bigotry and poverty and the denial of legal rights to the minority.
Under Article 2, Each State Party shall prohibit and bring to an end, by all appropriate means, including legislation as required by circumstances, racial discrimination by any persons, group or organization.
Under Article 4, all UN party members who signed this Convention, shall declare illegal and prohibit organizations (including religious), how they organize and their propaganda activities.
I petition all UN member states and the UN to put all mainstream religious organizations on trial whose practices, and teach propaganda and policies that instigate and promote racism.
In addition, to hold all UN member states legally accountable for failure to prosecute religious organizations for their promotion of racism.
In addition, former UN member states including Taiwan who signed this convention are still legally bound to uphold it despite no longer being a UN member state and should be held accountable internationally in these regards.
Rule of Law to End Poverty
Some 150 million children under the ages of 5 are stunted, 100 million are underweight and some 5 million die annually. All of this is a result of children and families not having access to food resulting in malnutrition and death. Broadening the access of justice under the present rule of law is vital in the area of global poverty.
Today mainstream religious organizations globally have the wealth to eliminate poverty but instead horde that wealth.
Research shows the Vatican is sitting on trillions of hidden net worth. Hindu temples rake in 180 million annually. Buddhist temples and Jewish temples - the same thing and Muslim mosques are hording trillions of tax-free dollars.
All Mainstream Religious Organizations Must Be Eliminated Under 1965 UN Treaty
These mainstream religious organizations hoard wealth while the masses in their own community suffer and die, identifying the flaw in laws aimed at protecting these organizations while the masses suffer.
Mainstream religious organizations political involvement must be eliminated under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights" articles adopted by the U.N. member states in 1966. In that they are in violation of this treaty, all mainstream religious organizations have legally revoked their tax-free status.
My recommendations are as follows:
All members of the states of the United Nations give their power and support to the United Nations to globally enact a law to abolish the tax-free status of all mainstream religious organizations who have violated their tax-free status through their political involvement and use such wealth to eliminate poverty once and for all under established international law."
