The Naturalist Next Door

Beth Cates

0 Episode

As a high school science teacher and graduate student in Biology, I noticed that most ecology is bad news. I know that there are millions of dedicated people working to preserve habitats, increase environmental awareness, and impact public health and prosperity through science. In this podcast, I seek to answer questions about ecology at the interface of science and society by looking at the ecology of suburban environments. I interview people in the crosswalk between conservation and capitalism, and discuss what it means to create a sustainable, healthy suburbia.
