From what I can gather from cursory internet searches is that Maduro's official public net worth is $1-4 million. I must have been thinking of the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez' whose net worth (when he died) I could not find but his daughter was reportedly worth over $4 billion in 2017, less than four years after his passing.

You might notice one extremely notable Supreme Court case missing from our show today. The Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade had not yet been handed down when we recorded on Thursday. If there's one thing they taught us, it's that there's a difference between the end of a trial and justice. But if there's one thing God promises us it's that he will bring His righteous judgment and justice, and that when man's laws get it wrong, HE will set it right.

But the gospel of Jesus promises a break in the endless cycle of sin and disobedience. Debt is something familiar to almost everybody, but it’s not always about money! There’s lots of ways we can be in debt, and unchecked, we can start drowning in it: It seems like we’ll never get our heads above water. Relationally, emotionally, and spiritually, we can find ourselves in deep. But there's hope!
Life comes at us hard sometimes, and it can make us feel like we're drowning- like we're going under. But the Bible gives us some great lessons we can learn about God, and promises we can hang onto to keep our head above water. Plus, a little commentary about some current events.

There's a rising trend in America of people whose religious affiliation can be described as "none". And now they number the same as Evangelical protestants and Catholics. In the next volley in the battle for the unborn, Ohio recently passed SB23, "the Heartbeat Bill", which outlaws abortion after a heartbeat is detected in the baby. One of the driving forces behind this new law is Citizens for Community Values, and today we interview Aaron Baer, president of CCV, who was instrumental in getting this bill passed into law. Aaron discusses what it means to be a Christian involved in politics, and what this the Heartbeat Bill means for the protection of the unborn nationwide.
More and more people are identifying as "nones"- no religious affiliation. That doesn't necessarily mean they don't believe in God, but they're not letting themselves be defined by an organization. That can seem like bad news, but we have to remember, God designed us for relationship, not religion. And we can't let "religion" get in the way of the relationship God wants to have with us through Jesus Christ.
