Our work began when two individuals, who both shared a passion for community and patient care, set out to transform healthcare and build a healthcare system that would strengthen and promote the health and wellbeing of patients while offering an exceptional healthcare experience. Co-founders, Harvey Castro, MD & Lori Guerrero, RN, BSN, MBA founded Trusted Medical out of their desire to create a better healthcare environment where the “noise of healthcare” no longer interferes with providers’ ability to heal patients who are sick and injured. Setting the new standard for first-class medical care, Trusted Medical is where patients will find hotel-style amenities and exceptional care. Our mission is to provide best-in-class healthcare to patients in the most comfortable environment where providers can build trust, personal relationships, and prioritize more time with patients during visits. As community health advocates, we champion the individuals and families that we serve and we are committed to providing the best healthcare experience to each and every patient.

Fear and anxiety about a new disease and what could happen can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, can make people feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety. However, these actions are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Coping with stress in a healthy way will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger.

https://thejennifersheehanshow.com/ For weeks, I stood in the grocery store and sobbed. Casually, I would wipe away the tears, as if crying in a supermarket were the most natural thing in the world. My eldest child had left for college and in almost every aisle of the store, there was yet another reminder of this with something else I didn’t need to buy.

https://thejennifersheehanshow.com/ “Your pain is for your progress. Your pain is for a purpose. But take courage and believe God,” Debbie Stuart, the keynote speaker, urged the women gathered at the Kaleidoscope Conference as she told about how her life related to Paul’s shipwreck experience in Acts 27. Stuart, director of ministry initiatives at Hope for the Heart ministries in Dallas, shared how the “shipwrecks” in her own life led her to minister to women in prison. She opened up about how her son, Jarrad, was arrested and has been incarcerated for the last seven years. “When the two police officers took my son and arrested him, I asked God for divine intervention. I asked God why would He not deliver my son, and He said, ‘I just did,’” Stuart said explaining that God’s ways are not “our” ways and the Lord “appoints shipwrecks” for “His own good reasons.”

https://thejennifersheehanshow.com/ 144 people die each day from an overdose. These numbers are more than stats or headlines on the evening news. These numbers represent loss and devastation. These numbers are someone’s precious child. As a recovery advocate, I hear from grieving parents on a daily basis. Over the years, the message has changed. What once was, “how can I help my addicted child?” is now more often than not, “my child just died from an overdose.”

www.jennifersheehanshow.com  Pastor Christopher King was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Growing up in the church, it was clear during many hardships and struggles that God’s hand was on his life. In 1995, Pastor Chris went on to play basketball at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. It was at Drake University where he began his love for speaking and empowering various audiences, giving his first speech on the topic of diversity to address racial tensions on campus. It was this research and training that would later spawn the creation of his Egami™ series of empowerment workshops, books, and curriculum. www.jennifersheehanshow.com My name is Jeff Woods. Although I grew up in a very strong Christian home, I became alcoholic and addict from the ages 15 to 46. In 2012, my life took a turn for the worst as I was newly divorced after 23 years of marriage and without God in my life, I sank deeper into alcohol and drugs to cope with the issues of life and relief from depression. On the brink of suicide on a bathroom floor in a psychiatric ward, my soul encountered God’s unconditional love and forgiveness for the first time and I received Jesus Christ in my life. I then served a 70 month federal prison sentence for a prior conviction that turned out to be one of the biggest blessings in my life as my chains of addiction were broken, my spiritual relationship strengthened, and I married my best friend and soulmate, Ainsley! Since my release, I continue to use my testimony publicly to anyone who will listen, as how God has changed my life and to be a messenger to others of God’s grace and mercy.

https://www.thejennifersheehanshow.com Domestic violence does not discriminate. Anyone of any race, age, sexual orientation, religion or gender can be a victim – or perpetrator – of domestic violence. It can happen to people who are married, living together or who are dating. It affects people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and education levels. Domestic violence includes behaviors that physically harm, arouse fear, prevent a partner from doing what they wish or force them to behave in ways they do not want. It includes the use of physical and sexual violence, threats and intimidation, emotional abuse and economic deprivation. Many of these different forms of domestic violence/abuse can be occurring at any one time within the same intimate relationship. Cheri grew up in the Van/Canton area of Northeast Texas with her parents and older sister. She lived in a pretty rural area with nothing to do. She was somewhat active in sports growing up in her early years. She was the youngest kid and an adamant daddy’s girl. Her sister is three years older than her. Her parents loved both of them, but her dad worked out of town for weeks at a time, and so it was usually just her mom, sister and she. Her parents were very private people, and while they loved her sister and her, there was a lot of fighting, arguments and breakups between them when they were little. They were always told that what happened at home, stayed at home. She maintained her grades through school, but had no interest in college, so once she graduated she went straight to work.

https://thejennifersheehanshow.com/ Brett Adkins, 17, of Plano was trying to sell marijuana to two men in Irving when he was shot and killed, police say. DaMarcus Antwon Williams, 18, and Areon Trevon McDade, 19, both of Irving, are charged with capital murder in the death of Adkins. They are being held at the Dallas County jail with bail for each set at $1 million. Irving police tracked down one of the suspects after finding his smartphone in the parking lot of Landry Elementary, where the shooting occurred. The other was identified with the help of a tip and video surveillance. “This is not what I want my son to be remembered by,” Vicki Adkins said in an interview Wednesday. “He was so much bigger than that. He was better than that.” She and her husband, Bill Adkins have launched the Brett Adkins Charitable Foundation which will assist teens who struggle with substance abuse. Vicki Adkins said she hopes to help teenagers before it’s too late. “We want to make a difference with kids who are headed down a bad path,” she said. “It’s not a matter of maybe or possibly. Your kids will get asked to do drugs.”

Each year, more than 5,000 reports of abuse or neglect are made here in Collin County. For more than 25 years, we have provided critical services for children victimized by abuse or neglect in our community, free of charge. We are the only agency in Collin County offering all these services under one roof and we do so because our community’s children deserve the best childhood possible. Providing safety, healing, and justice at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County is a team effort. We use the multi-disciplinary team approach; under one roof, we house law enforcement, Child Protective Services, therapists, family advocates, interns, and volunteers. Additionally, we work hand-in-hand with the District Attorney’s office to ensure that justice is served.

At Hall’s wife’s insistence, he started volunteering with her at Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County, a homeless shelter in Fort Worth. With his wife’s encouragement, he befriended a homeless man, Denver Moore. When Debbie Hall was diagnosed with cancer in 1999, Hall closed his local gallery and turned all other operations over to his business partner in New York City and his son, Carson Hall ’99, so he could stay home and take care of her. She died in 2000. “Debbie’s final words to me were, ‘Don’t give up on Denver. God is going to bless your friendship in a way you could never imagine,’ ” Hall recalls. Moore moved in with Hall. In 2006, the two men published the story of their friendship in Same Kind of Different As Me, written with Lynn Vincent (Thomas Nelson). The book sold more than 2 million copies and spent 157 weeks on the New York Times best-seller list. He and Moore gave 180 speeches in 2006 and even more the next year. “What we were trying to do at that point was to raise money to build a new Union Gospel Mission in Tarrant County, which is now the finest homeless mission in all of America.” Hall estimates that he has given more than 1,000 speeches and helped nonprofits raise millions for the homeless. “When people hire me to come speak at their event, they’re expecting it will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars,” he said. “I’m always disappointed if it’s anything less than a quarter of a million. I feel like a failure.”

Lord, you have been our dwelling place[a] in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. 3 You return man to dust and say, “Return, O children of man!”[b] 4 For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night. 5 You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning: 6 in the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the evening it fades and withers. 7 For we are brought to an end by your anger; by your wrath we are dismayed. 8 You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence. 9 For all our days pass away under your wrath; we bring our years to an end like a sigh. 10 The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span[c] is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away. 11 Who considers the power of your anger, and your wrath according to the fear of you? 12 So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. 13 Return, O Lord! How long? Have pity on your servants! 14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. 15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil. 16 Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children. 17 Let the favor[d] of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!

Becky is a fervent writer, accidental speaker + self-taught artist. She adores Instagram, hates working out and is obsessive over the creamer in her coffee. She is a mom of three crazy kids and married to her high school sweetheart, who just so happens to also be her State Representative. The beat of Becky’s heart is to equip women in living free in the grace of Jesus's great love. Becky is boldly running on mission to engage women in the journey toward the same freedom she has found. We don't share our stories in an effort to simply be vulnerable, instead, we share our stories to point to the glories of what God can and will do. You don't have to be carrying shame from an abusive past to be carrying a shame that sabotages the rest of your life. We've all done this, right? Kept our past choices, decisions, secrets hidden in order to protect ourselves or those around us. What if we are too much - what if it is too much? What if we lose everything - or maybe just someone? But what if we DO lose it all because we never surrendered it all? Becky's desire for this online space is to support, encourage, care and pray for women who are holding tight to their secrets. She writes for freedom, for mercy, for Jesus. So, what if today could be the day to let it all go? Join her mission, following along as she writes passionately about freedom, advocates on behalf of victims and has a whole lot of fun along the way.

Melvin is an East Indian, born in poverty during the deep years of Apartheid in South Africa. His mother, a recent convert to Christianity, kept her family fed during those lean times – not by scrounging for food or begging, but through prayer. She would wake her children up at 5am, they would begin to pray, and by 8 o’clock, food would show up. Much like the legendary George Mueller. Melvin had deep ambitions for success which were only further fueled when his older brother, law student and economic hope of the entire family, tragically drowned. Melvin moved to New Zealand and started in the world of sales.
