Kristin designs programs in Cognitive Behavioral Techniques that strengthen mindset, promoting confident mindful skills for peak results and wellness.

Quote: “Facing adversity with resilience and authenticity to help create solutions to transform behavior and mindset is the key to life-changing growth.” ~ Kristin Durney

Bullet Points:

- How do you define Resilience and Where does Resilience fit in the overall spectrum of Emotional Intelligence?

As I was going through therapy, the main principle of mindset was resilience, there are 7 principles of resilience... Neuroplasticity, our brains are malleable, we can actually retrain our brains... When I talk about resilience we intertwine emotional intelligence with that, and that is self-awareness, social awareness, it's the self-regulation of emotions, and managing our relationships... For a growth mindset, resilience is key. Resilience is sustainable, it is a skill that can be developed...

- Let Go Of Who You Aren't and Become Who You Are. I saw this quote of yours on your website. Can you elaborate?

We are living a limitation-self, we are not living our authentic self. You can control how you respond but not what happens to you.

  • What is the one question you want me to definitely ask you relating to our topic today? How did you become resilient and how did you sustain it? That is the question I would love people to ask.

Jonathan Troen, Chief Life Officer.
Jonathan's mission: To help people find the joy inside of themselves.

Jonathan is a Life Mastery Coach, and co-founder of Austin Yoga Tree and the Life Mastery Collective. His latest creation is the Self Love Revolution. Jonathan spent 20+ years in the entertainment industry. He was living the life of his dreams, meeting the biggest stars in the world, except he wasn't happy. He couldn't figure why. He began studying people: how they lived, what motivated them and how they defined success. His studies brought him to one conclusion: Most of us are mean to ourselves, and all we really want is to be loved. He also discovered that when we seek love from outside, it is fleeting. Lasting love comes from inside of us. And since we’re not taught to love ourselves, this creates a problem. Jonathan created the Self Love Revolution specifically to share the methodology he created after 15 years of research and practice. Jonathan's belief: We all deserve success. We all deserve to be loved. And we all deserve to be treated kindly, especially by ourselves.

Bullet Points:

  • You mention in one of your talks that the #1 fear is public speaking, the #2 fear is introducing ourselves to others. How did you come to this conclusion and how can self-love help us overcome these fears? It was a study that I read about, at a time when I was even terrified to speak publicly... We are so terrified of being judged that someone would think poorly of us...
  • We spend years delaying our happiness as we are working hard to achieve happiness. Is there a better way to the equation work hard to become a successful expert, coach, the go-to expert in your field, and then be happy? Hard work is important, we are here to be with other people and grow together... We keep postponing happiness, the equation is wrong...
  • Self-love, you state there are four pillars of self-love? What are they and most importantly, how do you practice Self Love on a daily basis? This is the meat of the conversation... here Jonathan shows his brilliance.
  • Guided meditation on self-love.

Léandre has his own Podcast called The Word Leader Podcast.

Bullet Points Of The Show:

Question: How do you find your big Idea and then how do you position it?
You have to ask yourself, what's the one idea that you are not ok dying not having shared with the world. There is always one idea that we want to share the most...
Question: How to position your book idea in the book market where you need an original angle?
If you look at the internal architecture of the book, it is very similar to marketing and sales, you are solving a problem to which you have a solution. The angle is the unique system that you bring to the table, and much more...

Question: How do you find your voice, find your style, the inner Shakespeare so to speak?
There is a common misconception that we can simply write as we speak, we want to find the sweet spot between the way that we speak and the way that we read...

Please tell us about the Trivium Method... What is it?
Here we go into the 5 steps of the method...

Jodi Krangle has been a voice actor since 2007 and has worked with clients from major brands all over the world in industries like health care, charities & non-profits, and the hospitality/travel market.

But it was quite a journey to get there - from selling computers in a time when not many women were doing that, to teaching herself about the Internet and the world it opened up. In 1995, she created an award-winning songwriting resource website called The Muse’s Muse and began a business of her own doing SEO and Internet marketing.

When she switched to voice overs, she was well-prepared for the new world of online promotions and getting her own work. She’s also a singer. In 2015, she put out her own album of jazz, blues and traditional tunes (jodikranglemusic.com).

Over the years, and doing what she does, she’s learned a lot about sound and how it influences people. She’s launched a new podcast called Audio Branding: The Hidden Gem of Marketing.

Bullet Points Of The Show:

  • How can Audio Branding help your marketing on your expert website (courses, youtube channel, podcast, or the podcasts you have as a marketing strategy?

3:12 It is an extension of who you are, what your brand looks like, the colors you use, the logo you have, and the fonts, and the emotions that they are supposed to evoke in people, then follow that through with how you sound. It has to do with being more of who you are and getting people to that emotional shorthand of who you are really quickly. That also has to do with consistency, so switching it up all the time can be very confusing for people. It is kind of like switching up your logo all the time, you don't do that... (and much more in the interview that you can enjoy).

  • What makes sound such an effective marketing/advertising tool?

11:27 It's a form of time travel, a really powerful way to bring us places and to make us think of places that we remember to have experienced. You want that nice little mix where it's still you but it appeals to the audience that is your avatar. Your audience wants to feel like you are like them. I do interview a lot of people who have done audio branding for other clients (www.audiobrandingpodcast.com), so I know a few companies you could contact that are serious about that... (more in the interview)

  • How can we use sound to improve our life, can sound actually heal?

15:37 It actually can, it is amazing how our capacity for that is, I actually just published an episode with a shaman called Kaye Doran... the interview covers authenticity in your business, you can be much more authentic when reaching people with sound than with any other medium ... you can make a deeper connection with your customers, so think about your on-hold music, have it match your image, ...

AND MUCH MORE...

Bullet Points Of The Show:

  • Question: how do you see self-doubt and limiting beliefs, what is their origin, and how to overcome them?

Limiting beliefs develop in our childhood, usually tied to parents or a parent. These limiting beliefs can affect us in a negative way as in lack of confidence or self-esteem, and when we see that we are not where we want to be in our personal life or business, many times these negative beliefs are holding us back. We are able to remove those beliefs when we become aware of the origin, develop awareness, and habits that help us to move in the right direction.

  • Why do you think so many of us fail in mastering our inner critic so we can be and have what we really want in life?

Here Chris now explains exactly how he could successfully, with personal examples, move beyond living in the effects, beyond the root problem, into a successful and fulfilling life. There is great advice that anyone can use immediately, among other habits, meditation, and journaling. This helped him and many of the readers of his book, his clients, to remove limiting beliefs and step into the solutions that are within by mastering the inner critic. You will hear that he has been using the process for over 20 years and will discover how effective the steps can be, moving from inner critic to the inner champion.
