No matter the storm I face I am grateful to the God I serve. I am tired but not hopeless. I am aware that God loves me more than I can ever love myself. I will continue to bring His name praise all the days of my life.

Today it's been rough... but yet I still find a reason to praise
All the activity of the day is still swirling in my head. I didn't want to miss out on getting an episode out because this consistency is my grind...it's in my mind and it's better late than never because it's mine.
The journey to healing and living the life I have been called to is real. I am super excited every time I get to share it.

Last night I had an awareness it's not just about reading the Bible, going to therapy, having spiritual direction and/or healthy community - It's a spiritual situation that helps. I transformed by having all of these work in my life. the Bible highlighted the shifting in my being. I was reminded that I am a spiritual being that is having an human experience. Emotions are something that I am working on to heal myself...overwhelmed with the fullness of friendship and community.

After I recorded the podcast - God kept telling me with long life I will satisfy you. I will Satisfy You. I took it personal that God will give Krys long life. Then I had to go to the Bible and search where that scripture is because I want long life to serve God I want to see my child grow and become an adult, a husband and a father. I stand on God's promise that with long life He will satisfy me.
“If Krys holds on to me for dear life,” says God,
“I’ll get Krys out of any trouble.
I’ll give Krys the best of care
if Krys only get to know and trust me.
Call me and I’ll answer, be at Krys' side in bad times;

We are still in a series of using the Bible to declare things in our life. Today we are declaring God's presence in our hearts. From that relationship we find the path God desires for us.
“My son (Insert your name), don’t forget my teaching; but let your (Insert your name)heart keep my commandments: for they will add to you (Insert your name) length of days, years of life, and peace. Many of us are facing impossible situations where we need a breakthrough in our lives. Yet, most of us sit and wait for God to make it happen, and then we wonder why it is that we don’t experience breakthrough as often or as fast as we’d like. What we need to know is that breakthrough is not something we sit around and wait for. Breakthrough is God waiting on us to respond in obedience to what He has already commanded and already promised. Breakthrough happens when we take the first step against barriers in our life. Breakthrough happens when we say that we are going to trust that God is going to supernaturally do what is impossible. Sometimes context matters when declaring God's word. Here are different versions of the Bible and the context in what God is saying.
Brothers, consider your calling: Not many are wise from a human perspective,[a] not many powerful, not many of noble birth. 27 Instead, God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. 28 God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world—what is viewed as nothing—to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, 29 so that no one[b] can boast in His presence. 30 But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became God-given wisdom for us—our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, 31 in order that, as it is written: The one who boasts must boast in the Lord.[c] 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (HCSB)
Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (MSG)

It's time to make some declarations. Let's step out of the comfort zone and into the God zone of saying who we are.
Pursue God for yourself. No one else revelation is going to be your intimate relationship with God. God wants to know you and He wants to share things with you.
Declaring it out loud and believing it in our heart. God designed us for this time. We aren't meant to shrink back or be hidden.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7

The truth is God wants us to be whole in Him. He wants to pull out the stuff that has taken root in your life but is causing damage. I want to encourager you to allow God to work in you and help you dig some stuff up.

It's really about God... I do my best to now do anything apart of God. I read my bible, I listen to different messages, I journal, I pray and I sit quietly in the presence of God. All of this to say - I believe everything in God's word is true and life affirming. I want to reflect Jesus and I believe that is what God wants for me too.

Today's message is about the 5 fold ministry and what God says about it. You are gifted uniquely and called into unity in spreading God's word and sharing His good news with the world. Until everyone has been introduced to the truth of who God is we are tasked to do that. Don't get tired of sharing your God stories with people. It's truly the gift that might save their live.
And [His gifts to the church were varied and] He Himself appointed some as apostles [special messengers, representatives], some as prophets [who speak a new message from God to the people], some as evangelists [who spread the good news of salvation], and some as pastors and teachers [to shepherd and guide and instruct], 12 [and He did this] to fully equip and perfect the saints (God’s people) for works of service, to build up the body of Christ [the church]; 13 until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity].

Krys Grant-Ray here struggling with the idea of accountability partners...I know I am a life coach and I struggle with the concept of accountability partners funny huh. As a transformational life coach I really focus on bible based principles that bring you closer to God. The goal of an intimate relationship with God is to know Him, be known by Him and reflect Him. This is what I strive for daily. Even in my brokenness I lean into a transformation of character a refinement of thoughts and a wholeness that mirrors holiness.

Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseerdesires a noble task. 2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach,faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full[a] respect. 5 (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)
I encourage you to write this scripture as a personal declaration insert your name and pronouns. Say it out loud, write it down, share it with a friend.
Here is a trustworthy saying: I, Krys Grant-Ray aspire to be an overseer, this desire is a noble task. Krys lives as the overseer in her life, she is above reproach, faithful to her future husband, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. Today's podcast was challenging because it's about closure. A topic that I believe is a myth.
Closure by definition is: an often comforting or satisfying sense of finality.
Well to be honest I don't know how we can get closure when marriages end, when people die, when we don't get what we believe we deserve or anything else that brings about something ending. How can you find comfort of satisfaction in a part of your identity dying or the loss of a loved one?
Maybe some can..I can't. I struggle with this. I need time to heal, I ask God for peace, I cry in my bed, I let all the thoughts pound around in my head. Today was a challenging recording - I got stuck in my feelings but like always God was also there and didn't let me get comfortable and stay there.
My hope is that you are able to glean something from these recordings as I strive for consistency in this area.

The Krys Grant-Ray Experience is really about finding God's voice in an overcrowded world of noise.
As I strive to be consistent in my making of content I realize that God is the most consistent being I know. God has always been right there through the thick and the thin. I never have to wonder if He loves me or cares. My consistency is fueled by who God is in my life.
You can't just listen to these messages you need your bible, pen (colored pens are really fun) and a journal. Allow what I am saying be a gateway for you to listen and take in what God is saying. My voice is just a vessel for Him to give you a timely message.

Part of being a Christian is knowing the words God has written in the Bible and applying them to our lives. Recently a friend of mine told me she reads a chapter in the book of Psalm everyday. I was so impressed not because she commits her days to reading God's word but because she picked Psalms.
I prayed for a heart to fall in love with different scriptures and passages that apply to different situations in my life. God so lovingly placed this scripture on my heart this morning while I was in my quiet time with Him.
'This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.' Psalm 118:24
Find ways to be grateful for who God is and how He uniquely made you.
The life you are living is not your own and it is filled with God's goodness you have to look around and see.

Welcome to June.
As I reflect and do my best to engage I realize there are no times in my life that are mistakes. There are no times that were not thought about by God. I am truly amazed at the work of His hand. Hold on to His living word as a anchor in your life.
The Mystery of Time 3There is an occasion for everything,

Day 11
Today’s Reading: 1 Chronicles 21 to 2 Chronicles 33
My reflection: My time with this reading has highlighted my desire to be semi-perfect in my plans. I left no room for God to be God and only for Krys to follow what she had planned. Thankfully I took correction and sat quietly with God and let go of some of the shame that I felt for not staying on track with my reading and especially the making of the videos and podcasts.
This time it wasn’t because of fear which is usually my catch. I got caught up in the lack of focus and being tired from the juggle all the things that are working in my life.
I paused and got back to the WHY for this 30 days of reading getting closer to God but also to let go of the negativity in me that causes me to respond a little bitterly.
New commitment 2 times a week I will make a video on Sunday and Wednesday of each week and post them…I will figure out the rhythm of this because it actually seems like the deeper I get into this the more I have to also allow a little bit of flexibility
The life application here is that give your goals and action plans space for God to be God. I didn’t do that. I just thought about what seemed practical in terms of digesting the word of God. I didn’t even include the experience of sitting with Him and being engaged with it mind, body and spirit.
This seems like an ultimate transformation. I am so excited and feel that God is doing something so specific in my life. Stay tuned

Day 4
Today’s Reading: Numbers 1 - Numbers 31
My reflection: God always answers when we call to Him. God’s presence is so important. Quieting the expectations that you may have of God and get to know who He is and how He is true today and yesterday.
Dig into the truth for yourself. Learn about God’s character and His patterns of restoring and redeeming our short commings through freewill
I broke off a disqualifying belief I had of myself that I wasn’t able to read and comprehend things like I should. Over the course of the past few days I have probably read and understood more than ever. Maybe it’s because I have the author with me and tuning my heart, mind and spirit at the same time but whatever it is I am grateful
This is not a bible study it’s an immersion. I am literally listening and following along in my bible 2-3 times a day to learn more about God and get my character checked. I am learning how imperfect I am and how proudful I am about the rights I have to be in the presence of God. KNowing God is truly a gift unto itself and I am forever grateful I live in a country where I have not only freedom of religion but freedom of speech to express my convictions.
I am so thankful you take time to check in and listen / watch what God has put on my heart to share.

Day 2 - August 3, 2020
Today’s Reading: Genesis 43 - Exodus 29
I woke up energized to take on Day 2. I got a couple hours of sleep, drank some water and jumped right in.
My hope for us today as we go on this journey is that we are experiencing God’s overwhelming presence. I don’t really want to study the bible right now. I am making notes, highlighting things that jump out at me and moving forward.

Today's Reading: Genesis 1- 42
In the presence of God I am learning who I am. I was stretched on Day 1 which I wasn’t expecting. Though God has been sustaining me during the reading my body felt fatigued during the moments of off time and I actually allowed myself to rest.
The revelation that I received on day one is God is all about relationships, timing, space, and keeping His promise. God also ironically enough is willing to come down from heaven and have a moment with His children. He descended from heaven a couple of times. I also saw generational blessings happening. I saw the line of whom God was paving nations out of. I saw the set ups in time that were so strategic. I won’t ruin it for you so be sure to read carefully and invite God with you while you are reading.

The spiritual mechanics transition from just doing reading devotions, listening to praise and worship music… to sitting quietly with God not giving him the laundry list of things that are on your mind.
Submit your full body, heart and mind to experience the fullness of God. 30 days is enough time to spend 3.5 hours a day with God intentionally not looking for some new revelation but expecting God to reveal Himself to you through His words. From that revelation will come.
Our intentions to read the bible during this time is solely to know God...Knowing God allows you to be known… allows others to know you. Release every other expectation and just desire more of God. Let that desire and experience transform you.

I brought a new bible
I have my journals set up by books in the bible,
I brought a new set of pens (because well you know I love my pens)
I brought colored highlighters
I brought index cards to write down scriptures I want to come back to after this is over
I set up 3 different times of the day that I will be reading S-W and TH & Friday will be different due to my work schedule
Look for God in the pages and and seek Him in your life. I promise He is there when you quiet yourself long enough to find him.

Hello journey companion - welcome to my podcast...
It's time to reset and become aware of God's presence in and around our lives. I believe that during this pandemic the one thing that hasn't suffered is consuming products, food, and media.
I want to introduce the idea of consuming God. What if for 30 days we spent time ingesting God's word intentionally and seeking His response with no other agenda how would our lives change?
I don't know where you are in your life or how you are managing different situations during the pandemic but if you are like me - Recently divorced, single mom of an 11 year old, homeschooling, working full time and trying to nurture an adult life with my friends while staying true to the calling I have. Please come on this journey with me.
Let's explore with God being our guide and sit in the space that gives life.
