Two years ago, British comedy musical duo Flo & Joan (aka real life sisters Rosie and Nicola Dempsey) came and did the quiz and were justifiably stumped by a whole lot of Australian-centric questions. Annie Louey and Mohammed Magdi are comedians dating across continents. Annie is Chinese-Australian living in Melbourne. Mohammed is Egyptian but has lived in China for 11 years. Annie is still getting used to learning about her own Chinese culture through an Arab.
They first met on Love Island, aka Hong Kong. Annie returned to Australia with a long-distance relationship, a massive medical bill and 25 minutes of new material.
Meanwhile Mo stayed back in his Bachelor pad, crying into his bubble tea and scheming about how they could see each other again. And so, their comedy festival show was born.

Stephen Hall is a former Grand Champion from the television quiz show "Temptation" (which was the name they chose when they re-booted "Sale of the Century"), so the expectations were quite high that he would do well at this quiz.

Catherine McClements and Shiv Palekar can currently both be seen in the Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of The Sound Inside. It’s a play about a literature academic and her student. Both characters come across as particularly intelligent and some of that intelligence has perhaps rubbed off onto the actors because Shiv and Cath barely put a foot wrong in this episode of the quiz. While his other guest doesn’t need to pretend to be a politician, because she actually is one. Tanya Plibersek was elected to the House of Representatives at only 28 years of age. She has been the minister for the status of women, the minister for Human Services, the minister for Health and Medical Research as well as the Deputy Leader of the Australian Labor Party.

The two guests joining John on this season’s penultimate episode are show business royalty. Mitchell Butel is an actor, singer and the artistic director of the State Theatre Company of South Australia, and Nancye Hayes AM is currently starring in Mitchell’s production of the play Ripcord to socially-distanced packed houses. Nancye was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2014 for significant service to the performing arts, particularly musical theatre - and the Hayes theatre in Sydney is named in her honour.
